      I have done a recharge of 251 for 1gb 3G/4G benefits (same as I am available of since last month).

      But I got sms as below which says only 3G benefit of 1gb. I need 4g not ONLY 3G.

      Recharge Successful on datetime#, MRP:Rs251.00, PF:218.21, Revised STax:Rs31.79, Talktime:Rs1.00, Balance:Rs18.60, TransID:[protected], Benefit:1 GB 3G data for 28 Days.Now get 1.2 GB data absolutely FREE! Dial 59995 to know more.

      Please correct my benefit to 4g or else arrange to refund. I will recharge another pack of 4g.

      Contacted AIRTEL directly. And they confirmed that 4g also can be used in the 3g package and no extra charges. So I m using it successfully

          I ported my sim([protected]) to airtel postpaid connection on 28th Jan in Kolkata zone. The plan I purchased was 299 Per month which was suggested to me by Airtel's Sales Executive, Subrata([protected]).While pitching me the plan that it has 1 GB 4G per month and unlimited 2G Speed post 1 GB 4G. But to my surprise, I got the bill amount of 1790 INR. When I called the sales executive, he admitted that he had done this by mistake and said "Not to pay the bill and loose the number carelessly". This is heights of ignorance and sheer wastage of my time and money. Please resolve at the earliest. Thanks in advance.

              I have been complaining on wrongfully overcharging my airtel connection since January 3rd 2016 when I had disconnected the Airtel 4G pack. Nothing has been done to rectify from their end despite giving clear details and multiple emails, they have been constantly ignoring the core issue.

              Now they have disconnected the mobile number and my girl child who has the number for her safety and contact is now left exposed to having no means of contacting her family in case of emergency... all this because I refused to bow down to the unfair and wrongful charges levied by Airtel.

              I shall appreciate if any lawyer can step forward and help me take this to the consumer court. I shall provide complete details of the calls and email exchange between me and Airtel on this.

              Update - Received a call on 10th March from a lady in the Airtel Social Media team... Read the irony of the call - Someone asked her to call an aggrieved customer namely me! The lady has no brief, no background and most of all no willingness or authority to resolve the issue at all...

              Such a humongous waste of my and her time. On second thoughts no waste of her time as probably she needed to call just to tick one more task off her daily checklist before she swipes out for the day.

              I am pretty serious... anyone who reads this post.. Please help with a good consumer court lawyer... Airtel needs to be taken to task for their employees' lackadaisical work approach.

              A little help from the fractured consumer fraternity will help bring these fleecing pretentious business behemoths to terra firma.

              Update -

              The logic for contention on disputing the additional charges from my end are simple –
              1. The #Airtel 4G plan very clearly mentions - 5Gb 4G/3G post which DATA STOPS - data stops is the key phrase:
              a. By this it clearly means that there cannot be any data coming to my phone from #Airtel post consumption of 5Gb.

              b. Which also substantiates the fact that the only payment due for internet is Rs.850+taxes for the package 5Gb data

              2. On exhaustion of the package data of 5Gb, on 3rd January, I had called 121 for disconnection of the package and received confirmation for the same which means no data can be received or consumed after the disconnection confirmation. Therefore, the question of additional charge does not exist. The gentleman, Manish Paatni, from Airtel, on 10th March 2016, was extremely rude when I asked him to respond based on these rationales leaving me no option but to present the experiences faced and being faced from #Airtel to the public domain.

              At present even incoming is blocked by Airtel. Anyone reading this, please please help me with a good consumer protection lawyer to take this up in the consumer court as well as help spread this on all social media platforms both domestic and international.

              Anyone who is a parent to a girl child will understand my battle and come out in support.

One Airtel representative - Manish Paatni called, was rude, did not bother to understand the rationale I presented and ended the call by saying that if I don't pay up (as per Airtel's unjust charges at their whims and fancies) then there is nothing he can do.

              This is with reference to your communication dated 6th March 2016 wherein; you complained regarding charges levied for data usage in invoice dated 6th January 2016 for airtel number [protected].

              As per your telephonic discussion with the undersigned dated 13th March 2016, this is to apprise you that, post receipt of your concern; we have checked our records and established that the charges levied for 3G usage are valid and correct as per the usage initiated and tariff plan opted i.e. “5GB 4G/3G Free @850”. ------" @Akanksha and all reader, please note how, Manish has conveniently skipped the all important part 'Post data stops' component which is the foundation of the entire billing issue". Skipping of this clause completely changes the scenario. I am sure all reading this would agree.

              Therefore, we regret the infeasibility to provide any credit adjustment on the above-mentioned airtel number.

                I brought an airtel 4g hotspot jus bcoz the person in univercel phoneix market city told me it will get activated on the next day but its been 2day only 2day it got activated but still not credited with my complimentary data when asked she's tells me reasons any now the lady has blocked my number. Ppl in univercel also cuts my call. Plz take necessary action.

                  The company's representatives collected the duly-filled application form and payment (cheque) from me with a commitment to install and activate my new Airtel Broadband connection within 5 - 7 working days. It has now been 6 weeks since the submission of the form and payment, but no installation of the service.

                  Repeated complaints and requests have all been useless.

                        On 4.3.2016 I was using Internet and I had Internet pack in my account phone no, [protected] and I had sufficient data in my account.. Despite all this during the use of net, , all of sudden the Service provider deducted balance from the main account without any intimation which was RS 103/-. Now I want my balance back or to resolve the issued as soon as possible. I am very disappointed with the such bad service of Airtel though I am an old user of the Airtel.

                                Hi,

                                I made an auto-renewal request for data recharge on 21 or around 21 feb 2016. Now from last two days I am trying to discontinue auto-renewal of data recharge which is if Rs. 169/- for 14 days. I called 121 and informed, I was told that it can be done only from customer end. I tried following the steps but whenever I tried after a step I use to get an error "External application down. Please try latter”. from last two days I tried many times and called 121 customer care as well. today around 10 PM as well called and requested that this problem is coming. I was told that there is a problem going at server end so that could be the reason I am not able to de-register. Please refer conversation ref no:[protected]. I request that it should not be recharged being 06-mar-2016 it is going to be auto renewed. I was told and confirmed that it will not happen and the representative has made note of the same as well.

                                Now I got a message that it is auto-renewed and I have been charged with Rs 169. It is really strange. Request you to please immediately credit the deducted amount and stop this auto-renewal.

                                  I have applied for MNP for my number [protected] from Tata Docomo(Andhra Post Paid) to Airtel (Kerala Pre-Paid). I have visited Airtel outlet at Kathrikadavu branch Kochin kerala and had submitted all the documents required for Porting and the lady over there said porting shall be done within 7 days from then i.e. by 15.02.2016, but there was no responce from them later again. One day i recieved a call from customer care of airtel for new connection and then i have explained him the same completely and later he asked me to watsapp me the documents or by mail and he shall get the porting done. i have very clearly informed him about the porting that it has to be ported to Airtel pre-paid KERALA for which he said he will take care. As said i have mailed all documents to him with mob no : [protected]. in between i have recieved SMS that verification is completed and porting is done please switch off and on bla bla. i have followed every thing but nothing happened. today the same person called me and said sir i should give sim card for you and i said im in kerala u arrange here. to my surprise he said he will speak with his boss and call me in 10 mins but he never called me back.

                                  Please get my porting done and get my no : [protected] num activated on or before 08.05.2016. That is a very important number for me, i cant loose it or get it blocked.

                                        With reference to above cited subject, I have called to Bru help line number i.e., [protected] he told as per our records recharge amount is credit to your account any clarification in this regard call to Air-tel customer care.

                                        In this regard I called to 198 on 05/03/2016 (time 6.42 pm) but he told it is credit or not to be credit because thousands of customers is their, I told it is not a good response sir and I ask to give a e-mail address for send the Bru mail proof but he told it is not possible to give and disconnected the call.
