My Mobile phone got lost in Nerul, Navi Mumbai on Saturday, 28th November, 2015. I lodged a complaint with Airtel requesting them to block my Prepaid airtel number against any misuse.
On Monday, 30th November, 2015, I got a new SIM card against the Blocked SIM from Nerul Airtel Gallery which was around 12 o'clock after making a payment of Rs.25/- . I was told that my phone will start working in next 2 hours.
It is very unfortunate that today on 4th Dec, 2015 at 11.57 am my phone is still not activated.
I have made innumerable calls to Airtel Customer Care number "[protected]" to check about it but every time I got a reply that now it will start in next 1 hour or 2-3 hours and once I was told in half an hour also. I begged them to tell me the exact reason so that we can find a solution because earlier whenever I have faced this situation, the SIM used to get activated in 3-4 hours and here now 5 days have passed and still the connection is not there but I was always told that it will start now in a few hours. I went to Nerul Airtel Gallery 2-3 times but I got same response every time. Now yesterday they called and said if it doesn't start till today morning then we should contact the Airtel Gallery in Sec-17, Vashi.
When I went to Vashi Airtel Gallery, they said since the SIM was not issued from their Gallery they will not be able to help me, they can at the most give me a new SIM for RS.25/- and I have to again deposit all the documents and fill up the form Again which I did because by now I am totally frustrated and just want to get it over.
I do not know how and where should I go to let people know the kind of harassment i have gone through because of AIRTEL. I request you to please publish this in yopur NEWSPAPER so that everybody knows how they harass their customers.
