I ported no.from vodafone to airtel & I feel I did the biggest blunder doing that. 1st, it took more than 1 week time. 2nd, my vodafone sim was disconnected on 27th Nov 11.47 PM as it ported to Airtel after almost 9 days, but on 28th Nov after I called customer care I came to know its mapped to wrong sim as the Distributor guy who comes to my office, his name is Syed([protected]) gave a wrong sim number to Airtel & that sim was activated for my mob no. . Immediately same evening I went to Airtel outlet in BTM 2nd stage, 7th main and after they were not ready to take ownership of giving me new sim. After lot of argument they gave me a new sim and they told that too it will be activated only by 01st Dec. Today, on 30th Nov that guy Syed gave me a call and said the correct sim is with him and I should collect it from him. I told him I am not in office today and he promised to get it delivered to me by his friend at my residence in BTM by today evening & I have been calling him since 8 PM but he is not picking my call and later his phone is switched off, is this how he treat customer?? I am so frustrated that I moved from Vodafone to Airtel. I have another Airtel postpaid number which I have been using from past 73 months and now I feel I took the worst decision in moving my other no. from Vodafone to Airtel. Since 5 days my primary number is not in service and still no one from Airtel is bothered for the customer. Is this how you treat such an old customer. Now I feel I will port both my numbers to Vodafone as soon as it is possible for me to port. And I will never ever suggest any of my friends or family to move to Airtel.

    My mail to Airtel: Hello, My name is Upinder Singh and this is regarding my Airtel Mobile number 981040**** and 991020**** that I got ported to Airtel from Vodafone on 28th November at around 11:00 PM. Since my migration to Airtel, I can not receive incoming calls from any operator other than Airtel, however I can make calls to all the networks and can even use 3G/4G on both the numbers. Regarding the same I have made numerous calls to your customer complaint number 198. I want to share my horrendous experience with your customer care executives. I spoke to Madhu in the technical team at 9:32 in the morning regarding my problem for which she assured me that I will receive a call from Airtel within 4 hours. When I asked her my complaint reference number, she straight away denied me of the number and told me that she can not take my complaint and I shall be contacted within 4 hours. But I insist to get my complaint number and she was continuously refusing me to help me with this. I just could not understand why is she not registering my complaint, for god’s sake I am not asking her to register my FIR. After arguing with me for 7-8 minutes she put my call on hold and gave me the number [protected]. I have attached the recording of our conversation. At 11:40 AM i visited the Airtel Centre situated at District Centre, Janakpuri to get the solution to my problem. After listening to my problem, they assured me that my problem will be solved till evening. When no body called me till evening, I again called the customer complaint number 198. Your executive informed me that my complaint has been closed because they have themselves concluded that my problem is solved and nobody bothered to confirm it from me. After talking to the executive, he directed my call to the senior supervisor Amit Sharma, who for your information is a very rude person, who has no idea how to talk to the customers and respond in a very rude and sarcastic way. Anyways, when I explained him the entire chapter, he told me that my problem will be solved by tomorrow morning and gave me complaint number [protected]. I told him to take care of it as I was promised in the morning for the solution of my problem and a call back within 4 hours but none of it is fulfilled. When I told him the complaint number that Madhu had given me, he confirmed that this is bogus complaint number and there was no complaint registered. I was a Airtel customer for 18 years on postpaid connection with my same number 981040****. I ported to Vodafone 4 months back just because I was fed up of Airtel’s continuous incapabilities of solving the problem or giving a swift service despite me being a Solitaire customer. I was very happy with Vodafone’s personalised customer care, but as there was some problem with their network at my workplace, I ported back to Airtel. This time I came back on a prepaid connection as I did not want myself to get involved or interact with your people for obvious reasons. However considering my usage and travelling habits, prepaid do not suit me. But my bad luck or Airtel’s strong ability of pissing off their customers, I have problems from the first minute I connected with you again. Please inform me is there any provision of going back to my previous operator before 90 days of locking period. I am regretting my decision so badly.       I have been using airtel prepaid 3G for past 9 months and my number is [protected] in kuppam 517425, AP. for past 2mnths the data isn't speed enough and many hours in a day I get only 2G and things have become worse. In the last month 2days before my data expiry speed was fully throttled and I couldn't use my net and data got expired. this month I have recharged for 4.5gb and since my topup I didn't get 3G even for a day and its mostly 2G that too very bad connection. I ve lodged many complaints in customer care but problem stays. I hope they address my issue soon.

        I was using the below number from past 5 years and it is now deactivated due to non usage for 90 days. I contacted couple of airtel showrooms in chennai and they did not helped me to resolve the issue. I am getting very irresponsible responses from both customer care and the store.           I had been promised by the company's representative that I would be recieving net speed cap limit of 8+10 gb because of some recent offer I changed from my ongoing tikona connection on their word but after the the 8 gb got finished the speed went to 512 kbps i asked the customer care & they gave me a blunt reply that they can not help me i then contacted the sales representative that came at my shop... after several calls he says he has mailed the company but there is no reply back. 15 days till this episode n still waiting for their reply just wanted to ask why give an offer if the company cannot provide it.?

            I have made several complaints regarding the not getting signal at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi last more than 90 days. Right now i have tried to talk to you but due to signal failure it is not possible to talk. I am post paid customer with airtel and having two postpaid connection in my name. Till date my problem not been shorted up, which you promise me to make it ok by september, lots of call drop and bill amount also increasing every month bill.Please do the needful other wise I will have no option to port my number to other service provider why you are not chARGED FOR IT? Please reply urgently.

              Unable to receive incoming calls. I ported from Vodafone to Airtel and ever since i am seeing this problem. Its more than 3 days now, customer care says the problem is not with them.               I have already sent an email to Nodal, appellate, presence but haven't heard any response. This is very annoying as it's 4 days already without an incoming call which has caused severe loss and personal pressure to me.

              The next thing I am going to do is port back to Vodafone after getting compensation from Airtel.
              Problem is still not resolved. I heard from Nodal that there are many who ported to airtel are facing this issue. So why j first place dis they even port my number. They say the problem is with Vodafone and airtel is all fine. I dont understand how can they even say that we dont have a SLA and it will take sometime, till then just wait. How the hell I am going to wait and do nothing knowing its causing severe problems.

                Hi, I had applied for a new broadband connection on[protected]. I have paid an amount of 1000/- for the same. Reference number is TBLR 7005725. After a couple of weeks i was informed that the connection is not feasible in my area, hence the amount would be refunded through cheque to my address. It has been 3 months and i have not received any cheque. I have called the customer care several times and they said cheque will be dispatched. They also told me to register for online refund through http://www.airtelonlinerefund.com/. I have requested for refund here as well by submitting my bank statement. Reference number is AORda2ebd. I have still not received any refund from them. Please help!!

                As stated above, even I faced the same problem.
                I called customer care several times but got poor response from them. This is not expected from such a big company like AIRTEL. Hence I suggest everyone not to take any new airtel connection .

                  Dear Sir,

                  In the month of October 2015, we decided to purchase two 4G Data Connections, one each Dongle and WiFi Modem, from Airtel. He aforementioned Mr. Amitabh Sarkar, visited us and collected the relevant documents and promised that the connections would be provided within 2-3 days. For over a period of 10 days, he kept delaying on the pretext of incorrect documents and finally handed over two SIM cards only, but without any of the gadgets that we had ordered. Mr. Sarkar committed that the same would be delivered within another 2 days. By now, the delay was of almost 2 weeks and we categorically informed him that we may no longer require the products.

                  After further few days had passed, we kept trying to contact him through various numbers but he kept avoiding our calls and even if we did manage to contact him, he gave some excuse regarding the delay and then gave some more promises. We finally told him to return all the documents of our company that were given to him for the connections but he did not do the same. After over 10 days, he suddenly appeared in our office with the two gadgets and forcefully tried to hand it over. We categorically refused as we were no longer in need of the connections. He kept insisting and we even started to receive calls from another person (listed above). We clearly told him to even take back the two unopened and unused SIM cards that he had given us. He refused to do so and ran away from our office.

                  Today, suddenly we have received the attached two invoices against those connections! We are not even able to open the bills as we did not receive any password to open the same. When we contacted the concerned person, he said as we had not returned the SIM cards, we have to pay the bills and disconnected the call.

                  This is a clear case of cheating because these connections have been forcefully handed over to us even after we had clearly refused to proceed with the order due to abnormal delays and false commitments from their end. We should be under no obligation to pay for the bills and in fact the relevant documents of our company, should be returned us.

                  We pray that you do the needful at the earliest and save us from any further harassment being done on us by these representatives of Airtel.

I have made a complaint on customer care also, they have told me some ways to solve this, but none of the ways has solved my problem.                         I recharged Airtel Rs 98/- 2G internet pack for 1GB. Well, I get a notification from Airtel congratulating me with " your 2G pack has been converted to 3G ". Great! ... Next - Airtel sends notification that my 3G bal is insufficient so 3G surfing is blocked for my account. So I ring up Airtel Support. Let me tell you, there is no support option even after hearing those gibberish computer generated rantings by pressing 1.. 2... 3... options. I treid for no less than 10 times. It was a total waste. Airtel is afraid to even lend support to its customers... WHY? Add to that the fact that airtel leaves only 500 mb of 2G bal for me. To begin with, I wanted a 2G pack, who the @##$ is Airtel to convert it to 3G???? Just to cheat its customers!!! I am totally DISAPPOINTED with this cheating stuff from Airtel. Airtel - Are you listening?

                            Sir, I had Rs.166 in my Airtel sim ([protected]) on 22nd November 2015. On 23rd November, I noticed my money was being deducted very rapidly. When I enquired at the customer care, the executive replied that deduction was due to internet usage without an internet pack. I told him I had not activated any internet services on my Airtel sim. After some confrontation, he repaid me Rs.110 on my Sim which summed up to Rs.122. Being paid less, I again spoke to your customer care executive, told him the whole story again, but again he denied and said it was due to internet usage from sim without the internet pack. I again explained him, there were two points. Firstly, I haven’t activated any internet services from Airtel. Secondly, my handset (a cheap Nokia handset), is not compatible to run any internet services. I also told him that I can show my Sim data usage from 22nd November which was 0 bytes. But he was not listening and simply denied to refund me any money. I ask you, what is this charade from your side? First you deduct money and then you behave like I am asking for something that belongs to you. Your executives behave in rude manner. They always tell some cock-and-bull story. In SHORT, I WAS CHEATED by your company, and seriously considering to drag you to the TRAI. I am asking you to look in the matter, and INITIATE MY REFUND. Else I have no other option, but to go to TRAI. I am BOUND to take legal action against your fraud company. I have conclusive proof of your wrong-doing in the form of call records and receipts of no internet-usage and can produce them anywhere you say as a proof. Also, I have already contacted few other people, who you have cheated in a similar fashion. Luckily, one of them is a lawyer. I have already booked an Official complaint on the Online Consumer forum, and am determined to go further. So you are in trouble for sure. Those are enough proofs to corroborate my side. Hoping for a quick response, because I am fed up of your company, with similar incidents in the past as well. I can quote a few, but that is just of no use now.

                              I have landline phone of Airtel with call facility at my home for the last one year. On 16.11.2015 at 11.12 a.m. Airtel Customer Executive contacted me offering change in plan with free wi fi modem and free installation, for which I agreed. The Engineer installed wi-fi modem on 18.11.2015 and visited my residence on 18.11.2015 to 22.11.2015 regularly but the broadband could not be started due to some technical issue and he took away the modem etc. with him. As my bill plan was changed w.e.f. 19.11.2015, which I came to know on receipt of bill and contacted Airtel Executive on 29.11.2015 but he said that I will have to pay Rs.1650 for modem and Rs.500 for installation. i asked to go through the recorded conversation on 16.11.2015 at 11.12 a.m. which he refused and closed my call. The executive called me on 29.11.2015 at 14, 45 Hrs from mobile no. [protected] who talked rudely. The behaviour of Airtel Executive is not tolerable even when reverting back from their commitment.                                     I bought a new airtel broadband service because I thought it would be better than the BSNL I have. Since day 1, the connection has not worked and now its been a month. I called to complain and customer service pretty rudely stated that if I want I can go ahead and send an email for cancellation. Forget about customer satisfaction, obviously airtel doesn't even care much for customer retention. It's pretty laughable how companies such as airtel put on such a professional front but have none of that marketing prowess flowing down to actual service. If you are considering an airtel connection, please think twice.

                                      Hi, My number is [protected]. I had applied for a postpaid Airtel MNP from Vodafone. Now, my Vodafone is disconnected, however I am not able to activate Airtel through 59059. Under networks I am able to see Airtel in the phone. The first time when I called, they said my details are not yet updated and asked me to visit the nearest Airtel office. When I walked in there, they said they were able to see all the details. So I called up 59059 immediately from the office itself and passed on the phone to the Airtel representative. After doing so, they asked me to wait for 4 hours for the details to reflect. After close to 3 hours, I again called up 59059. They said that the details are not yet up. Hence, I tried in the evening but it wasnot connecting at all to 59059! I immediately rushed to Airtel office again, There they now communicated that one can call up 59059 only thrice a day after which all repeated calls will get disconnected. Have been trying today, but again it's not connecting. Please assist at the earliest as I have not been able to make many important calls since 26th Nov 2015 midnight!!!

                                        I am not able to change the bill plan online as they have removed the option for that, nor they are changing through customer care. they hv started my plan service through which they are charging exorbitantly high. my mobile bills hv gone almost doubled. they are making us fools through my plan service, they only show that they hv other bundled plans however they don't let u change. pl help
