Hello,
Around a month pack I went to Airtel Store located on Dairy Circle, Bangalore (Near Forum Mall Back).
I submitted all the documents and filled the form to PORT my prepaid Tata Docomo number [protected] into Airtel prepaid number and they charged Rs 30 fee (no bill).
The porting should done in a weeks time and Store Staff said that the same SIM, i.e. Tata Docomo will automatically stop and will be live on Airtel network means I don't have to get Airtel new SIM.
Submitted secondary number too for verification and on July 24 I got sms on [protected] from Sender ID 1901 stating that "Porting request validated and accepted. Porting time"[protected]:11:00.802 for mobile[protected]
and post that Tata Docomo stopped the service.
Next day I went to Brigade Road's Airtel Store to check the status and they said that the porting process is done and my number is live on Airtel SIM but earlier Airtel store staff didn't gave me new Airtel SIM.
Brigade Airtel Store staff told me that I have to re-visit the same store, i.e. Dairy Circle where I submitted the bill and need to ask for the SIM.
On July 26 I went to Dairy Circle store and explained the situation, firstly they apologized for the mistake and offered me new Airtel SIM (the shared SIM number is[protected].) and said that the new SMS will get active in next 1-2 days.
Store Staff who offered me the new SIM, Shanthala having email id - a_immaculate.[protected]@airtel.com
from the same day I am following up with her and asking for the store manager number but no result.
On Aug 14, she mailed "Greetings, as per d update I think still your old sim is only active, please update on what can be done to help you best."
I replied - "Hi, please activate my sim ASAP.
Activation of SIM should not take more than 1 days once old SIM (Tata Docomo) stops.
I had earlier all the docs and copy of SIM, so please manage this internally as I want to use my number at the earlier.
I had earlier procured vanity Tata number @ Rs 50K (2 years ago) - if you would not be able to help - I have to go by LAW only.
Please Update!"
Post that she replied that "Iv forwarded the same mail to my manager, she s marked a mail from her side too. We will get it resolved for you sir."
It's almost a month I am not able to use my number and was not able to access many services as my number is linked with varies accounts.
I used to follow-up regularly but no result.
