My Name is Manoj Shetty, Residing in Malad east, Mumbai was using Airtel Postpaid Sim card for last 6 to 8 months want to register a complaint against Airtel.
I have been using Airtel connection for past several years never switched to other network because i was very much satisfied with the service but my recent bad treatment from the company really upset me and i will never ever recommend airtel to anyone.
5 to 6 months back i switched from prepaid to postpaid connection due to severe brainwash from the lady representative.
Initial 2 to 3 months i was receiving normal monthly bill of arounf Rs.650/- to 690/- and i was paying it regularly. Later they activated International Roaming offer without my consent and charged me bill of Rs.4, 200/- (Approx) which i refused to pay resulted in barring of my incoming and outgoing services. Later i spoke to the Senior Person and he said it was activated from their end hence they sent me the revised bill of Rs.249/- This is the closed chapter
Later i felt ill because of jaundice and was in my room jobless for nearly 2 months, So i couldnt pay the bill. The bll was Rs.2, 297/-They had barred all my incoming and outgoing services also they harassed all my contacts threatening for legal action. One day a lady representative called my friend while i was with him and i picked the call and i told her my condition and asked 2 monoths time for payment of bill even she agreed too. AFter 1.5 months my health got fine and i grabbed the job was attempting for online payment which was unsuccessful and i was getting error message( Please enter valid airtel mobile number) Since then i forgot the issue and there was no calls from airtel after that.
Now all of a sudden on 23/02/2015 i received a call from a person representating himself as Senior Advocate named Rajendra Choudhary from Delhi Patiala High Court Mobile No : [protected] informs me that he had sent a legal notice to me although i didnt receive that and told that on non payment of outstanding bill he will send summons.
Another advocate called me refuse to disclose his name Mobile No :[protected] (In Truecaller SIM card location is Rajasthan) threatened to issue a police warrant against me. I have call recording of the conversation with me.
Suggest me what should be my course of action ??? They have mentally harassed me a lot.
