I hold this number [protected], which is an AIRTEL Bangalore Prepaid number
Purchased this SIM in April 2013 while I was in India.

Currently I reside in USA and I had locked this number for a period of 1 year via the Airtel online locker service in May 2013. All my correspondence in India is via this number and I last used this number in May 2014 while being in USA

After 2 months, I re inserted my SIM today (July 17, 2014) and my SIM is not active. I tried reaching the customer care but they were unable to help.

This number is very critical for me since all my India services have been updated with this number and I am unable to proceed with any India work without this number.
I had already lost my earlier Airtel number in 2011/2012 since I hadn’t used for long time but this time I was very careful to keep it active by locking the number. Still it seems to be deactivated.

Could you help please help in reactivating my number. If I need to pay a fee to do this, I can pay it online.

    Sir, I proposed to migrate from the present Telecom to Airtel. I had approached the Airtel office at Gandhinagar, Bangalore. I was directed to approach the counter, where a person medium height, slightly bulky was sitting. I told about requirement of migration to Airtel prepaid. The person told me "don't go for pre-paid" and go for post paid. I told about my requirement and told pre-paid only required. The counter person was adamant and finally that there is no stock of prepaid sim. The person's behaviour was that he was least cared for the customer's requirement but wants the customer to follow his words.

      I am an existing Airtel user, A/c No [protected]. I had initially taken only a 6 month connection. After expiry of this period, company automatically extended my connection on monthly basis without my prior knowledge. In January '14, on my complaint, they agreed to settle all my previous outstanding amounting to Rs. 2896/- against payment of Rs. 1796/- (i.e. Rs. 1100 waiver since connection was extended without any prior intimation and I had not even used it for the entire period) and a new 6 monthly plan expiring on 27th July '14 for Rs. 4496. I have this commitment in writing from Airtel. The payment were made by three cheques amounting to Rs. 898 x 2 and third cheque of Rs. 4496 on 31st Jan. Now in May '14, to my utter dismay and surprise, the connection got suspended for outstanding dues of Rs. 2197 and since then I am being regularly harassed over phone calls and smses to clear this due despite my plea that my outstandings were all cleared when I made the three cheque payments on 31st Jan and even having a mail in writing from Airtel that this clears my all outstanding till date and new half yearly plan is activated to be continued till 27th July. I obviously did not make payment of Rs. 2197 as being claimed by Airtel since this is a clear violation of our agreement. My pleas and explanations to Airtel Customer care on the matter is to no avail as they are refusing to acknowledge that there was any such agreement made by the company despite their written word and even after escalating the matter to their Appellate authority, the issue remains unresolved. More so, yesterday I get a letter from Airtel claiming their outstanding amount and threatening me with legal action if I refuse to pay. This is an extremely condemnable and unscrupulous act on their part as they are refusing to listen to my side of story and keep insisting I clear this amount. I have grown tired of explaining this matter to Airtel and would be extremely grateful if your forum could take up my grievance for redress.

          Respected Sir I am using Airtel Postpaid Coorporate Plan Rs. 125 Monthly since 1 & half year on my two mobile nos [protected] & [protected]. This company sometimes changes my bill plan without any notice. Hence from April 2014 this company changed my bill plan from monthly Rs. 125 per month to 149 per month. This bill plan is very different from my previous bill plan. So it incurred me extra losses due to change in the criteria of calculation of tariff. So I was not able to pay the bill after April 2014. But the company disabled my outgoing facility from date 14.07.2014. I requested the Customer Care to change the bill plan to previous one. They changed it but not from the April 2014, they changed it from June 2014. So it is a request to you to let my bill of the months April & May be recalculated for the months of April & May. And my outgoing services need to be resumed. So that I could pay my bill.

          Dear Readers,

          I would like to draw your attention that I am using a cell No. [protected] provided by Airtel since 2010 without any issues. However in the recent past there are two issues for which I have been contacting their helpline but no action has been taken till date.

          1. Change in Bill Plan

          I logged into my Airtel.in account online to change my Bill Plan. I tried to do it but failed and got a message to call customer care. I requested them change in my BILL PLAN on 31st Jan 2014 ut till date they are unable to do so. I have escalated the matter to their Nodal Team & Apallate team but still no luck. It is really surprising that such a big network is unable to update my bill plan for over 3 weeks now.


          2. I have sent a separate mail to them that when I log into my account, I see another account [protected] which is a landline ([protected]) and Broadband connection in the name of my previous employer. I have requested them to delete this account from my login, but they replied that no such account exists... I send them a screenshot of the SMS & my login web page but it fell to deaf ears...

          It is really sad that Airtel is not concerned for their old clients. The 121 executives are so stubborn and have been trained NOT TO pass the call to their TL's / supervisors... and the best part is that when you ask for a complaint reference no. they will just give you a random number. On your next call to 121, when you give that reference number, they say no complaint exists...

          WOW, this is absolute customer harassment and they should waive off all my calling costs because of their mistake.

          Hope this complaint is seen by someone and some action taken.

            Hi, I booked an Airtel broad band connection on 19th April 2014, and paid Rs700/- for the connection charges, reference is Tblr6827761.But I do not get connection so far.I have been using Airtel mobile connection more than 15 years.This time only I have been facing this kind of issue. Even I have been made a compliant so many times no one respond me properly.Nilanjan, he is an Airtel executive, who collected my money. His contact number is [protected]. Whether I do not he is an Airtel executive or not. Once he collected my money, he did not pick up my call, whether I do not to whom I contact for my area.I am staying Ashok Nagar, back side of the Garuda Mall.               Hi, This is harshit.i am using the airtel no [protected] which is ported from vodaphone 2 months back in mumbai. Airtel have barred my outgoing call for in the basis that my vodaphone bill is unpaid which as per my vodaphone records i have cleared all my due.today ie 16th july 2014 i tried calling the airtel call centre, but they added to more to my problem by repeatedily dropping the call when i asked for the call ref no.people who attended my calls were wasim.akshay and ankita..they have no clue why they have barred my call..and they just have one answer that they will get back to me in 4 hrs...its been a pathetic experience using Airtel service...they have untrained and rude people to reply to your queries.someone pls help me out as i am out of town and unable to make any call...once again i would say airtel is pathetic and full of rude and novice employee...i wish i was using vodaphone.                 Since many months airtel is providing wrong recharge information on its website. Even after giving so many complaints.. They are not doing anything to update the information. Every time I did recharge through airtel's official website I got something else on my number than what is mentioned on their website... They are looting many customers daily just by providing wrong information on their website.. I dont understand what to do and how to stop them from doing so.

                  Airtel has jacked up my bill all of a sudden and blaming it on my data usage. Nothing has changed from my end same phone, same apps's (data usage), i also have a 98 RS data plan and my bill used to be 400-600 every month and all of a sudden they have increased it to 1369.

                    Airtel also offers fraud offers on prepaid my offers *121# where they say Rs5 charged for 900 local and STD seconds valid for 2 days but MONEY will be charged from main balance and the offer will be valid only for one day because they dont mention time at all. Airtel cant manage compitition hence they are doing these frauds to survive...but they will loose customers for better networks This happened many times to me [protected]

                    Well they never adressed my concern but started abusing me everytime they call. in fact they just keep calling and always ask information and do nothing ...hence I stopped taking unknown calls

                      Sir, I had recharged a data plan on my mobile number [protected] for a week and the balance was available till its expiry. But my main balance of amount Rs. 50 approx got deducted, when asked to customer care they said its for the data charges since the balance got expired. This is not justified since my balance on the data plan was still leftover of around 9MB till its expiry. I request that my amount deducted be reimbursed. Thank You

                        I would like to CONGRATULATE Airtel on behalf of all their subscribers for the superlative and brilliant way they have solved the problem of their non-performing 'My Airtel' services!!! It has been out of order for nearly a month now and the great service provider they are they have not been able to do nothing about it. But they did something absolutely BRILLIANT AND OUT OF THIS WORLD for which they deserve tonnes of congratulations. They changed the error message. It now reads as follows since three days, round-the-clock!!! 'We are currently down for maintenance as of 10:42 ISTSorry for the inconvenience, we'll be back shortly.© airtel India 2014, All Rights Reserved." Indeed, what a masterpiece!

                            We took broadband internet connection during march 2014, due to the service issues we decided to close
                            The connection in the month june 2014.

                            We here by informed to your airetel-customer care centre to close the connection and respective amount ready to pay on the spot any nearest airetel relaitonship centere

                            This is the point of torture started for us

                            We made call to customer care then they given the other customer care no that is as below

                            We made calls to the call centre no [protected]

                            Initially they told forward sms to 121 to get the airtel relaitonship centre, we did the same, but address r

                            Provided is at campus ecospace, 4b, next to aol, all the way we went 8 km to close the connection but there is no airtel relationship centre.

                            In spite of teh many call they are not responding at all.

                            This center has absolute reluctence, no response to customer calls, avoiding the call, keep the
                            Call hold, chatting with others by holding the phone

                            From the mobile- [protected]-g saptha giri we made approx 15 to 20 calls and we requested for the
                            Address to close the connection.

                            Apart from that we already informed that from airtel mobile forwarded sms with specified data to
                            121.

                            From the other mobile we made 8 calls to the call centre, no response and just closing the call abruptly.

                            When we are asking them we will compliant against the call centre, they given their names as

                            Ms ananaya-cce

                            And told that you can forward any mail to anybody we are not bothered.

                            From our management we had instruction regarding closing the connection we will not entertain.

                            We requested them for any executive collect the connection money which we require money, they least
                            Bothered about this.

                            We requested the address of airtel relationship centre nearby marathahalli.

                            They have not provided any address and just provided customer care no and abruptly closed the
                            Call

                            Above all executive called from airtel, when will you pay the amount behind us, we are ready to pay
                            The money please provide the address and who is responsible to collect the modem.

                            We even informed the call centre executives that we will inform to trai regarding the lack of
                            Customer serivice.

                            Dear mittal, your airtel customer care is not responding properly in spite people ready to pay
                            Money and close the connection due to your irresponsible behavior of the organization.

                            Please treat this letter as complaint against airtel customer care and airtel do the needful.

                                I have two set top boxes under one connection. For the past 2 months, the receiver in the dish is unable to receive signals properly due to which only one of the 2 boxes function well at a time. I have availed the services of Airtel technician 3 times, where they come to home and try to resolve the issue but it remains unresolved. The receiver needs to be changed for which several call have been made from my side, still no action has been taken.

                                It would be appreciated if the issue gets resolved soon.

                                  Hi, I have been using Airtel number [protected] from more than 1 year now. Have been paying bills regularly as i was aware about billing cycle. 1st bad thing about Airtel is they call 1000 times for payment follow up through calls, mails and sms. Data services are also very very poor. i Don't understand that why do they have problem in increasing credit limit? This month, due amount was 2194 which is total of 2 bills out of which i had to pay 1 bill of 889 which i did on 12th of july 2014. I received confirmation msg stating, airtel bill has been processed. On 14th my services got barred and airtel customer care being the worst, you can never reach out to executives as 121 won't get connect and other number [protected] plays irrlevant IVR message. I dropped mail attaching bill payment statement along with reference number but still they did not cared to revert or call me. To be frank i would call it hopeless customer care department. After all struggle i got line activated but again on 15th, i received msg stating pay o/s amount or services will be barred. i mean really, are these people blind to see the attachment of successful payment i did. why they tie up with such companies where as in they don't get update even after 2 days of payment. and on top of all this, when i called up customer care, he was not able to solve the issue so i asked him to connect me to senior or TL but whoever the senior was, she was worst then executives. Even now the problem has not been solved. i would change the service provider soon but i would definitely like to bring this to airtel that you are just name but services are nothing but zero, big zero.

                                      1) i have raised the complain for "Setup box not working" on 13th july 2014 and customercare told me they replace the setup box and i have to pay only Rs. 150 INR.

                                      2) Setup box replaced by the authorised Airtel engineer on 14th july 2014 in evening and he told me to recharge Rs. 400 INR as a setup box charges and then only you can get the service activated in new setup box.

                                      3) I have recharge with Rs. 400 INR and waiting for the service by the time within 10 minutes the setup box switched off due to some kind of short circuit inside the box.

                                      4) I have Immediate complain for the same and asked for help to the customer care and they asking for charges again for the same which was not even resolved and i am paying double for the same...

                                        I, Sharath, had activated international roaming before going abroad in the month of November 2013. While was in Japan i received a message from airtel which said that i had received a call on 2-dec-2014 for duration of 3 hours. And call charges has reached Rs140000. 1st problem was i never received any call and 2nd was that call charges based on outgoing call rate. 3rd problem was that the bill said the call was from my number to my number which is impossible This discrepancy was immediately informed to airtel customer care visa email.but did not get any clarity regarding the problems. Their only reply was to pay the due amount. I also mailed the airtel nodal officer and appellate officer to get correct details but not reply from either of them.and then by april end my number wqs not active any more. And now again airtel has mailed asking for payment.
