I raised a request for 2g pack deactivation for mobile no. [protected] on 4th march 2014 in the evening around 7 PM. CCR confirmed me that your pack will be deactivated within 1 hour and no other information provided. Now Airtel people generate bill of Rs.4733.73 and barred my outgoing services due to excess usage. When I spoke to appellate authorities I was SHOCKED TO LISTEN that in 1DAY on date 4th March, my bill got generated to approx Rs. 4733.73(Rs. Four thousand seven hundred thirty three rupees seventy three paisa) against my credit limit of Rs. 1000.00 (Rs. One thousand only) and they (Airtel India) themselves took decision to disconnect my services of their own even without any intimation or prior warnings. Reason given by Airtel Indian Customer care was my GPRS plan benefits are till 3rd March which is IMPOSSIBLE because I raised a request on 4th March in the evening around 6-7PM because I don’t want to charged for next billing cycle. Charge Rs. 4733.73 (Rs. Four thousand seven hundred thirty three rupees seventy three paisa) in unbilled amount in one day is baseless as It is not possible that someone will use 2G internet for Rs. 4733.73 when there are 3g services available in 10 time lesser amount. And secondly, If my credit limit is of Rs 1000 then how come my bill generate for 4733.73 If you people don't gave full Information to me then why should I suffer or afford excess billing as a customer. Why Airtel decided to freeze my account at Rs.4733.73 against my limit of Rs. 1000.00, why not at Rs.600, 800, 1, 000 or any other figure. My credit limit is Rs. 1000, I have not received any information that I have exceeded my credit limit and suddenly next day my unbilled amount become Rs.4733.30. I have used my internet before deactivating my services; there is no sense of charging for the whole day usage and also Customer care representative doesn’t inform me anything like this. I have also attached the screenshot of message I have received at 7:45 PM that my internet pack has been deactivated. If they have deactivated my services at 7:45 PM than how come they stopped giving me the benefits of 2g Pack from 3rd March. I have used total 778 MB in a month, although I was offered 2GB internet with 80kbps after that unlimited free data with 40kbps speed. Airtel is mentally harassing by generating fraud bills and Stopping my outgoing services.

This is too much time to resolve a stupid problem and you guys are not resolving this problem. This is not done . This is not a consumer support function. I will legally initiate a complaint for mentally harassing by closing my outgoing calls without prior information and for over charging than my credit limit.As a responsible consumer I am fighting for the wrong charges so that I can pay only the legitimate charges. But it seems that You guys don't want me to pay legitimate charges. This is last warning to Airtel. Resolve this complaint on high priory.

    Dear Sir, On 9/03/2014 I called AIRTEL customer care executive to enquire about Dynamic IP Internet Broad band connection as I am an existing customer. As I cannot jump directly to DYnamic IP broad band so thought to enquire few things. The PLAN and TARRIF.The Customer care by name Mumtaz spoke and made me to wait by saying the system is slow. And later asked for my account no. as i did not kept i told to give me 2 minutes time and gave. Initially she told me that 16mbs speed is there then i asked for 4 mbs and its rate and later asked for 2 mbs and its rate. As a customer i would like to go for lowest rates as my income depends on internet. Although she gave me full reqired information, as I was about to dsiconnect she was commenting to her collegues saying "ABBA KYA DIMAK KHAYA RE..." If the customer care does not have patients to answer then what is use. It is absolute hurting the customers mind next time we have to think 100 times to call a customer care service for any querry .Balaji[protected]

      I applied for Airtel Broadband in Mettuguda, Hyderabad on 6th March. The Airtel Representative (Raj Kumar - [protected]) came, filled the form, took the money (Rs 1000) promising me to install the connection by next day. Since then I have been following up with him, trying to calling him. Everytime he promises to install within " 1 hour" or "Next day" but never comes back to me. I have not even received registration message from Airtel. I called Airtel Customer Care on 9th, to know my status. The person says my broadband connection will be activated and installed within 24 hours. Next day, I called customer care again. This time they say that it will take another 4 days. And the original guy Raj Kumar and his team manager Venkat ([protected]) doesn't bother at all. This company and its representatives is full of fraud and false promises. I don't need this connection anymore and need my money back. Kindly advice the suitable action. Regards Anup

      I have not received any confirmation of my registration with Airtel Broadband, even after a week. However, the mobile number in the registration form is +91-[protected]. Kindly note the alternate contact number too +91-[protected].

      Also, I received a call yesterday too from Raj Kumar - [protected], that he will come and install but he still has not come. Kindly initiate the process of returning my money. I am also forwarding this complaint to Consumer Court.

            I hv been getting calls by some people posing as lawyers from the number and they say they are from Airtel.
            I have settled the bill amount but they still keep calling me asking for payment of the bills originated after I disconnected the number.
            Request you to pls bring this to their attention.

              I have Airtel numbers [protected] and [protected]. I opted for activating a service pack of rs75 to make incoming call free in dec 2013. Then on 10th feb 2014 I requested to stop it. I got confirmation on same day that service has been stopped. But airtel is still charging Rs 75 in both my bills fraudulently. I tried to put complaints on their site bit it is not accepting any complaints. Please help me. Should I go to consumer court for this fraud?

                Today (On 8th March 2014), I recharged my Airtel Prepaid Mobile number [protected], for an amount of Rs. 1000 /- . According to their website (https://pay.airtel.com/online-payments/prepaidResponse.do), this topup should have recharged my mobile with a Full Talktime of Rs. 1000 /-. However, only an amount of Rs. 887 /- was credited to the above-mentioned number. This clearly violates the Talktime Topup information that is being displayed on the website.


                Request the Airtel Prepaid Customer Care team to get back to me on this and help me get back Rs. 113 /- credited to my mobile balance ASAP, without further delay, so as to not constrain me to escalate the matter to higher authorities.

                  Respected Sir/Ma'am I am Airtel Postpaid customer since last 1 & half year As per my tariff plan rental 249 per month i have free local 1000 min, 200 local & national sms & 200 MB Internet but since last 2 month ago company reduce my benefits without any intimation after i call to customer service executive said company send you confirmation sms but i had not received yet any sms from Airtel .

                    Hi TeamI have Airtel Digital TV Connection from last 3 years with ID [protected]. I am based out of Karnal, Haryana I have been facing constant problems every month on this and constant in touch with Airtel Customer Support executive Mr. Deepak (+91-[protected]). We have got so many things done including Dish direction/place change, tightening, cable/connectors issue, Set top box change etc. etc and still my connection is down from almost a weeks time. Customer support executive make false promises to come everyday but never shows up. I have lost so much money and time in customer care follow ups and calling them. I don't expect this kind of 3rd class from a reputed business house like Bharti Airtel, now i damn regret my decision to busy Airtel DTH everyday, i can say local DTH service provider in Karnal (Haryana) is much better in service and support then Airtel DTH.I have given all hopes on Airtel DTH and their bad (or i should say worst) service. I have already started talking to other DTH service provider and i should get this done may be within a week's time. But after all i am not going to leave this bad experience let go like this, i need answers from Airtel DTH customer service guys (if you have started hearing and caring for your customers).                       Dear Sir I also got the call from the same number ie[protected]. I have seen other compliants also from the same number but there has nothing been done from your side to resolve this. the earlier complaint was registered on january 24th and today is 8th march. A company like airtel has not been able to do anything about this number. I have changed my service from airtel to vodafone but i believe that airtel still own this number. Sumant Dubey

                      To protect all our mobile subscribers from malicious activities which may result in substantial increase in their phone bill, airtel would like to advise the following:
                      » Do not respond to any unexpected calls from a number with the +92 or +375 country code.
                      » Do not respond to any suspicious missed calls from unknown numbers.
                      Do not get lured into any financial transactions or divulge any personal information like IMEI, Bank Account number and other information to callers offering prize money or lottery winnings. Also do not respond to any instructions to dial an international number to get the prize money.
                      » This luring may also be done through SMS messages offering prize money and seeking personal details on a specified email ID. Please do not respond to these.
                      » Do not respond to any SMS/Email from unknown sources prompting you to call on a number or go to a site offering free download of content/movie clips/pictures.

                        Inspite of me writing to Airtel again and again about the failed recharge I havent received any refund in my account. It has been a month. I have written like 4 emails to [protected]@in.airtel.com and the first time I got a reply that money will be refunded to my account within 72 working hours.                           I had requested to block my lost Airtel no. [protected] on consumercomplaints.in on 2nd March. Now I had got a duplicate no. but outgoing calls are still blocked on this no. So, I again requested on the same site to unblock my no. Then i got a call from [protected] and he told me that to unblock my no. I have to give him my Credit Card details.When i denied to give details, he threatened me that he will block my no. permanently. I also called 121 but they are saying that my no. is not blocked but still when i call it says TEMPORARILY OUTGOING CALLS ARE BLOCKED TO THIS NO.

                          Now Its my humble request that kindly look into this matter and help me out asap. The details are:

                            I have disconnected my broadband account with airtel on September 21st 2013.


                            Airtel failed to disconnect the landline and generated bill for oct and nov 2013.


                            The customer care said they will disconnect only if i paid the bill and refund the amount.


                            I have paid the amount and requested for disconnection in nov 2013.


                            Now agian i recieved an email mentioning i have to pay the due amount from dec 2013 to feb 2014.


                            Airtel has not disconnected the connection and did not refund my money.


                            I have complained regarding the smae in airtel website but havenot recieved any response.

                              Hi, As the subject of this complaint suggests I am a victim of Airtel's unfair data usage calculation and excessive charging for the 3G data usage and through this forum I would like to throw light on how the telecom major uses petty and cheap tricks to drain the last penny out of its subscriber's pockets. So what Airtel does is that it charges you for using 3G from your account balance even if you have 3G balance left in your data pack. And the worst part is that it is not a one time deduction this has been going on for a very long time now and they have been fooling their subscribers for quite some time. These deductions have happened with me on a regular basis and after getting totally frustrated by this I have decided to write this complaint as complaining to them on their stupid IVR is of no use as they keep your call on a perpetual hold. I have been an Airtel subscriber for ages now but I think the buck stops here. I don't think I need to stress on the importance of keeping the subscriber happy, as it is we are paying a bomb for the outdated 3G data packs when everyone else has moved on to better and faster technologies of data transmission and after all that to get cheated is the last thing a consumer wants. What I want from Airtel is to look into this matter and resolve it as soon as possible as these practices are hurting their credibility. I got robbed of 56 rupees due to their unfair policies in the last such instance, I know it's not a big amount but it is about ethics in the end.                               I agree to this. Even this happened for me, As people doesn't concentrate much on how many bytes they use, telecom operators like Airtel simply reduce the 3G balance just like that unfairly, forcing people to recharge internet pack again.

                                I am an existing Airtel subscriber on my cell phone. I wanted an Airtel 3G data plan for my iPad. I went to Moti Nagar, New Delhi Airtel office to get 3G connection. The person with a turban (Raman) gave a duplicate nano SIM for my cell number and said that this will make my iPad connection work. But what he did was create 2 SIMs with the same number. So when iPad SIM was activated my phone stopped working. I was charged Rs 25 for this duplicate SIM and on top of that Rs 99 for 300MB data plan. Customer care told us that 2 SIMs cant work on same number so we need to get a different number for iPad. Today we went back to the airtel office and asked to correct this. In order to re-activate our phone (solution was to give us a new phone SIM) we were charged Rs 25 again and now the Rs 99 plan is useless on this number because I already had data plan on my phone SIM. All it does is add the 300MB data on my phone connection (which I didnt want). Also, they say that Airtel doesnt have nano SIM for a new prepaid connection, so I ended up not having a data plan for my iPad. Now we have spent Rs 149 to get nothing. This is the Airtel representative fault for misguiding us and today because it was a different representative sitting they didnt refund us anything.

                                  I performed an Online Recharge from my SBI bank account through paytm site, but by mistake I did a recharge on a wrong number. Instead of doing a recharge on [protected], I did a recharge for number [protected]. The details are as follows... Paytm order no:[protected] Date of recharge : 4 Mar'14 10:48 pm Recharge of Airtel Mobile [protected] Amount paid: ₹ 197 Success SBI Bank Transaction Id: [protected] I made a call to the Airtel customer care on the same day but they said they cannot do anything about the problem and that the money cannot be refunded to the account.                                       Me recently ported to Airtel with company CUG plan. I just called customer care on date 2nd March at 3 AM and verified mine address proof they said it gets activated within 15mins but still not able to call or receive any call till now. I repeatedly called customer care and their default response is wait for 4hours but later its still not done from their side. Finally i got frustrated and spoked with floor specific manager and he said that it will be done within 4hours on 4th march at 12 PM and he said he gonna raise a ticket and send to some technical department but still its not done.
                                      I hope airtel is not such eco-friendly with customers they just skipping by giving some random answers.

                                      Today i called to customer care he said its not even ported in to airtel when i called once again he said he will raise a complaint and given me complaint reference no: 55336260 but they said it get solved within 9th of this month means until then mine number is not active and i cant even recieve any important call
                                      as per mine complaint regarding ticket no: 55336260 mine issue should be solved within Sunday but still its in pending. When i tried to call mine no:[protected] the automated response is "The Airtel no which you calling is not in service OR the dialled no is not valid" now what i wanna take further steps.
                                      one more today mine airtel postpaid bill to got generated. Hoe else bill can generate when there is no activation in connection!!!
