Hi,
I have recharged my DTH account (no- [protected]) with Rs 410 on 18th Mar using my credit card and after recharge, I could see my account with Rs 412 and per offer, additional Rs 20 should have been added to my account within 2 days.
However, to my surprise, the TV displayed " This account is suspended due to Negative balances" on the very next day. This lead me to think that the Credit card company might have not settled the payment to Airtel. I called up my credit card bank after couple of days and found that the payment was acknowledged successfully to Airtel.
Then I called up Airtel on 22nd Mar and raised a formal complaint...I was told that they will look into this and it will be resolved within 24hrs. Later, I was told that my TV was not kept on while recharging and it was a technical issue from Airtel and no correction can be done from Airtel end. This was never informed when I recharged my DTH account through website. And I was really surprised that the Airtel is charging me daily, but they maintain in the TV display that my account is suspended due to negative balance.
I made numerous calls to Airtel, but they kept saying it is Airtel's technical issue, per guidelines they don't have any solution. I visited Airtel customer office in person, but they said they cannot help.
I don't understand why Airtel is charging me even after SUSPENDING my account?. To me, Airtel is cheating their customers (like me, there could be many of the customers getting cheated unknowingly) and Airtel is knowingly refusing to correct their mistakes even after acknowledging that it is a technical error from their end.

Airtel DTH — non provision of channels and unauthorised deduction of money from the balance
I am sanat, have taken airtel digital tv connection with connection no. [protected], i have these issues with them01. They do not provide all the cahnnels as mentioned inther website for example, Saakshi Tv and TV are part of South vale pak, but on subscription for this package, these ywo channels were not given, on regular mails and telephone, theya have advised me to pay some amount for activation of these two channels.
02.Toady, i have got and SMS from that english top up has been activated on my package, for whaich i have not made any request.
03. On enqury, they hav told me that I have called them on 24.05.2011 at 2.55 pm with a request for english top and theya have recoverd rs.55.15.
04. Day before yesterday, my balance was Rs.250/-, not the balance has come down to Rs.104.40
05. On enquiry, to know about the reduction of balance, these stupid airtel guys hav no answer
06. My sincere advise is for others not to GO FOR AIRETL TV, These are all looters, bogus company, calrity is not good,
07.I am going to consumerforum and media for redressal of this issue, if anyone wants join me, most welcome.
