I'm a customer of Airtel Digital TV since 3 years. My Set top box stopped working properly since 3 weeks i.e from 9th Mar 2012. I had raised a complaint with customer service(Req No.[protected], following which a technician from the service center came, inspected the set top box and told that STB has to be replaced if the problem reoccurs. THE TECHNICIAN COLLECTED RS 125 as visiting charges. Only within one day the problem started again and when i called the technician again, he told me to wait for 2 days to get the STB REPLACED. Since then I have been daily checking the status, and every day I'm being turned down saying there are no STB available. To my surprise, WHEN I ENQUIRED ABOUT NEW CONNECTION, THEY PROMISED TO INSTALL THE CONNECTION THE NEXT DAY ITSELF. On insisting to cross-check if the STB are really available, they RESPONDED POSITIVELY.
I have lost all the prepaid money i had in my account.
Total Loss : Rs 125(visting charges) + Rs 189 (21 days prepaid account) = Rs 314.
HOW DO THEY NOT HAVE STB FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE WITH THEM SINCE 3 YEARS, BUT READILY AVAILABLE FOR NEW CUSTOMERS.
Please register this complaint and take strict action against the operators.

Please SMS “EPREBILL <Month Name> Email id” To 121 to get the bill on your E-mail id, You will be charged Rs. 50 per request for the same.
