Hi,

After two frustrating days with Airtel - Fiber To Home (FTTH) connection I have decided to raise a complaint against airtel.

First and foremost airtel customer service people dont know the difference between broadband and FTTH connection. From 3rd December 2012 night 8.45 PM onwards my internet connection was not working. On 4th Morning I raised a complaint to airtel cc people and they said it will be resolved by 1.30 PM the same day and I also go the message from them with complaint no: 25552882. No body visited by home till 6 PM on that day, so I decided to call them once again but they said it will be resolved only by 5th Dec by 5 PM. I agreed and the next day I waited till 5PM but there was no call from anyone from airtel nor they visited my home. I called them back by 7 PM to check what had happened and they said the it will be resolved by 6th Dec 8 PM.

Nobody from airtel is able to tell me what is the exact issue and why they are taking so much time to resolve it. Everytime I speak to them they say that "SOME technical" is there and they are not sure. What does it mean by SOME ? And eveytime they will ask me whether my landline phone is working or not.

This is to inform everybody from Airtel customer care that FTTH connection doesnt have a landline phone. Please atleast educate them properly before giving connection to public people. Dont only look for looting money from us.

When I asked them will be give any discount for these days that I am not getting connection...They said Sorry Sir we cant help you.

God only knows how many more days they will take to resolve this issue..

Airtel Please understand customer problem and try to help them out. Money is not the only motto. Please provide proper service. I wouldn't recommend this FTTH connection to anyone in my apartment. POOR customer service. POOR internet connection. I took this connection because I was fed up with Tikona which was worst and now airtel is pathetic.

    I have purchased the New Airtel Data card from the referral of my corporate company and I am using the data card from the March of this year 2012. Whenever I connect the data card in home I will get only the EDGE connection (2G). I was managed with that connection and I asked the person who sold the data card to me, and he told that “Airtel in the process of converting the towers from 2G to 3G, so you will receive the 3G connection soon in your area”. So, I started believing his word and waited till the month of August 2012. Up to the month of August 2012 my problem has not resolved, so I made the compliant with Airtel customer care through the Email by sending screen shot of my speed problem. I have received the immediate Auto reply mail saying that “Thank you for writing to us.”
    The next day, I have received another mail saying that “airtel has a very robust network and we have a state of the art infrastructure deployed to ensure continued services to our customers. Despite this, issues crop up in some cases due to several reasons: location of a building, topography, climatic conditions, the handset quality, to list a few.” And I replied that “When I using the data card on seating in my balcony also I'm getting the edge connection only. If I want to prove, just send one technical person to confirm the same.” Then there is an immediate Auto reply mail saying that “Thank you for writing to us.” But there is no proper reply from the customer care executive.

    And again after some days I sent the follow up mail to Airtel by asking the status on my mail, again I received an immediate Auto reply mail saying that “Thank you for writing to us.” Then only I came to know that Airtel will all ways use to send auto mails and not proper reply.

    After sending the lots replies to more than 10 Airtel executives for the same mail “Airtel has a very robust network and we have a state of the art infrastructure deployed to ensure continued services to our customers. Despite this, issues crop up in some cases due to several reasons: location of a building, topography, climatic conditions, the handset quality, to list a few.” I have got worried a lot.

    On September month Airtel sent the bill to pay and I have replied that “Should i pay my bill for this type of 2G connection?????????? If you not able to solve the issue.... please send your escalation matrix. I will take this issue with your higher officials.” And I stopped paying the monthly bill.

    Then I escalated the issue to nodal and appellate officers by explaining all my problems, but till the date no proper response on my issue or resolution.

    Finally I got frustrated and sent the mail to cancel the data card but I got the beautiful reply from the Airtel “we would request you to make the full payment towards the current billed and the unbilled amount on your account, in order for us to initiate action towards closing the account. Details of the amount payable as on 02/10/2012 are as follows: Outstanding amount: Rs. 904.18/-, Unbilled amount: Rs. 116.26/-”
    The thing is, my monthly bill itself 699/- rupees only, with the tax it will be around 750/- rupees but I got Rs. 904.18/- Rupees why because of over utilization of free GB’s(3 GB). This update has given by Airtel when I had the discussion with Airtel customer care. My huge doubt is how it’s possible to access more 3 GB of Data with the 2G connection without connecting the Data card in the PC/Laptop. I think it’s possible only in the Airtel Service provider.

    So I written back to that mail

    “Let me suggest two options,

    Please take my problem in high priority basis and complete it with in 1 week of time (I will not go for the cancellation, But you should provide the compensation on my bill for my anguishes).
    (Or)
    Kindly agree that you can’t able to resolve my problem, I will definitely make my full payment and go for the cancellation.
    Keep on sending these types of forward mails, will not solve my problem.”

    The Next thing is, The Airtel has closed my compliant twice by saying “Customer not responded to the call” I don’t know how they are closed the compliant like this. But I received 2 to 3 call from Airtel by promising that “your usage is low so will make the appropriate reduction in your bill and will resolve your issue.”
    Up to today I am sending the mail to nodal officers, appellate officers, Customer executives but no reply.
    And the very very very big thing is, i have escalated this issue to Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal ([protected]@bharti.com, [protected]@Bharti.in) also but only received the read receipt not resolution.

      i had applied for a sim exchange from a normal sim to micro sim from airtel relationship centre V connect at dhankawdi pune satara rd. my sim did get activated and thus with a regular follow up of 2 months the relationship people now tell me that my mobile no [protected] has been deleted and the customer officer out there are hopeless as they are not able to explain me why the no has been deleted and they are also not able to help me with any resolution i am a using this sim from last 6-7 yrs and this is a very huge loss to me as i am unable contact many people this is not my mistake this mistake is from airtel shoppe i have their recipt no 12599 which contains their details . the airtel people should return my old no. back

        I am K.Manikandan from Chettiyandhal village polur taluk, Thiruvannamali (dist). I bought an airtel digital TV three years ago.My airtel digital TV account number is [protected].The problem is I am not any channel since three months and I have been complaining the same to the concern person more than 100 times since I got the problem but still I am unable to get the channels and not even proper response from the concern company, recently they asked me to recharge my account to get the channels and I did it for Rs.200 but the money got over from my account and I am not getting channels, regarding this also I complained to the concern company but still no response. so here I am requesting you to please take this as my complaint against the company and do the needful.

        Airtel DTH — all channels are blocked

        Dear Sir,

        I purchased a airtel digital tv on 15 june 2009. I got 3 months subscription free with this package.I opted for Mega pack. My customer ID is [protected]. After three months i continued same package. Five days back all channels were blocked due to insufficient money in my account.I recharged my account via coupons the same day. But all channels remains blocked. Next day i requested customer care executive to change my plan to New value pack. |He gave me complain no 1306133. After that i talked to them (Customer Care) several time, then again they gave me complaint no 1320398. The situation is the same. All channels are blocked after five days. What should i do for this. Every time new person pickup the phone and i have to tell him/her the same story again.

        My cus id [protected].Have been using for last 3 years.I would not recommend this to any one.These people add or delete channels from their pack without letting the customer know.From the begning of the month they have taken off the star cricket and espn from the southern pack because they know that there is demand for the cricket matches between India and England.They move this out so that people will pay extra to watch cricket. This is absolute cheating.We are trapped with their dish and set top box. This has to be brought to the consumer complaint foroum. Their customer service is useless. You either do not get connected and if by chance you get through, the reps are not aware/trained. Please beware and never opt for this. I used to have tata sky earlier and their customer service was also really bad. But apperently they have realized their flaws and corrected (this is what I hear). Airtel will also learn the lessons once customer's decide to move. We really need to teach these people a lesson.

            Hi

            I am using Airtel's Broadband Service for a few years now and i haven't had any issues until now. Recently, the internet connection does not work. After my initial investigation (based on the nature of work i am into myself - network administrator) noticed that the ADSL router provided by Airtel did not receive any link and as a result of which the internet doesnt work.

            I have also found a work-around myself - The phone (landline) provided by Airtel needs to be active and the link becomes active; but only for a 15-30minutes before it disconnects again. Each time, i will need to pick the handset call my mobile, hang up to get the internet to work.

            I called Airtel and registered a complaint to get it fixed on 13th Nov, 2012 (Complaint Number[protected]. A Airtel engineer visited my residence to troubleshoot/fix the issue and told that he will need to take a look at things in the backend system and will revert to me. Allowed him to do what he thinks was best to solve the problem.

            A couple weeks passed by and issue persisted, assuming this is still getting fixed from the backend. Moreover, I didnt hear more from Airtel about the fix.

            On Dec5th, i got a inquiry call from Airtel asking me if internet is working fine as the complaint is closed on 22nd Nov. I was never aware that the issue was closed at Airtel; when the issue still persists. So, i had a new complaint registered (Complaint Number[protected]

            Next day, the same Airtel engineer visited my residence telling me that i have to pay for a new ADSL router to get it fixed and wont be working on my issue. When i didnt agree to pay, he says - "You don't have a choice, you have to pay. Else i will close this complaint. If i have any questions, should direct it to Customer Service team @ 121".. He walked away..

            Called Customer Service team right away and was told that "The processes have changed and you have to talk to you ADSL Router Vendor to get it fixed. Airtel cannot do anything". Well, my questions weren't answered, those are:-

            1) When i bought the Airtel Broadband Service, i was told that i need to pay rental for the ADSL router they give or buy it from them to get the support. I cannot buy a device of my choice. So, i gave up and went with the options they had to push. I was given a Beetel 220BXI ADSL Router.
            My question is - Why was I pushed to buy the Airtel's product without having a choice to get my own?

            2) Go to Beetel for help; not airtel.
            My question is - This isnt a product i purchased; it was given to me by Airtel. So, Beetel is Airtel's vendor and not mine. So, why am i being directed to Beetel? Airtel needs to find a way to address this issue and not push me pillar to post to address this problem.

            3) I was told - The processes have changed from the time you bought the connection.
            My question is - Why wasn't this communicated to me? Did Airtel get my consent before changing processes? if so, where is the documentation for that?

            4) Customer Service later told me - Sir, we will give you a rebate of 50%, please buy a new ADSL Router from us; which is again a BEETEL router.
            My question is -
            a) When it comes to selling me a new router, they still have to offer Beetel; which becomes a esteem vendor during sales. But, why is Airtel fixing the current faulty / cheap quality product?
            b) I'm still told that you will need to buy only what we have to offer. No other product (Router) will be supported and no internet service will be provided if you move on to another company's router.

            To add to all of this, the airtel guy who came to my residence - calls me at odd hours of day and night and tells me i am coming right now to your residence in 5mins; better be available. I rush from office back home to realize he never turned up. When i call him back, he never picks the call.

            As on date, the issue is - internet does not work and Airtel is not willing to fix.

            In short, when i go to a hotel, order a coffee and when the coffee tastes bad. Does the hotel tell me - go and contact the coffee manufacturer to get a better taste????

            This is simply outrageous. i want to drag Airtel to consumer court? Kindly please let me know about the process and i will consult a lawyer and takes this forward.

                Respected Sir/M'am,
                with due respect,I am drawing your attaintion that I am useing an Airtel SIM bearing no.[protected] since 2001.It is my main phone no. and the persons who knows that I am useing mobile,they know my above mentioned number.Till 25/26 th. October,'12, I have received incoming calls through the sim but,it was quiet unexpected to me that the SIM was showing as INVALID in the very next morning.I then went to the nearest Airtel mini stores at Sreerampur,Hooghly for solution and they adviced me to go any Airtel Store nearby.On 30th.October,'12,I went to Airtel Store at chandannagore Bagbazar,Hooghly and lodged my complain.They told me that I am not useing my SIM for a long time and for this reason the number had been deleated from their system.I was shocked to know this from them because I was useing the SIM uninterruptedly from the above mentioned year.They also told me that they have taken my complain and post it at the proper authority bearing request to resume the number and taken my alternative phone no. for further communication.After 15 days,I repeatedly went to the Airtel Store and ask them about my complain status as I still not received any phone from their end.They told me that no answer came from their authority till then and if any reply comes,they will contact me but,till today,i.e.,05th.december,'12 as I yet not receive any call from them,again went to the Airtel Store.now they are telling me that it is impossible to me to retrive the number as they did not received any instruction from their authority.As I am useing the SIM from a long time period,I have given the number in my bio-data,different job sites,important places where mobile no. is applicable and mandatory,even in cooking gas booking IVR system.

                I am facing a lot of losses due to the absentmindedness of the mobile service provider which cannot be described in amount.I was being deprived from job and other important works as the SIm is invalid.

                In this circumstances,I am praying to you to take necessery steps so that I can get back my number and get proper compenssesion from the concerned service provider for the interruption of my daily routine and possibility of job losses.

                    I had requested my prepaid bill summary for last month(November). I send in the below format.

                    They sent me an confirmation msg by taking 50 rupees charges saying that I willl receive the Ebill in 6hrs. But it was about 24 hrs and still i dint get Ebill..

                      I am using airtel internet broadband service. My account no is [protected].
                      I am seriously frustrated by the service provided by them. My connection speed is 4mbps. But rarely get this speed.
                      I have even recently upgraded my plan, but now I regret it. This is clear daylight theft by airtel. If you guys want more money for the service why dont you just ask for it rather than fooling your customers. I have been using this service for almost 18 months but the service is getting worse.
                      If something is not done from there side I will have no other option but to change my service.
                      i have a broadband connection of 512 kbps unlimited plan. But i am not getting the speed. kindly look into it ans improve your speed

                        Dear Sir / Madam,
                        This refers to the discussion I had with your Customer Care Cell today.
                        I had a Airtel Landline cum Broadband connection installed at my residence.
                        I had made a request to disconnect it in Sept'12. Though I got repeating calls from your company to continue it, but I had to decline all requests due to personal reasons.
                        Finally it was disconnected by mid Sept'12.
                        The bill was raised by Airtel on 28th Sept and I had paid for it on 14th Oct'12, much before due date.
                        Surprisingly another bill was raised against same connection on 28th Oct'12. Despite repeated request that the said bill has been wrongly raised by Airtel, I kept receiving calls from Airtel to make payments.

                        Giving no consideration and care to my plea, the bill was again sent on my e-mail on 28th Nov indicating as if the connection is still continue because this shows Scheme charges and discount as if it is a normal bill. Sometimes during calls from your office, I was told that the bills have been raised wrongly because your system shows that Landline and Broadband have already been disconnected.
                        But again on another day I get calls to make payments against these bills.

                        Now I started getting the threatening calls from Airtel. So much so it is coming from personal Mobile number of so called Airtel Officer.
                        As a result of that I had no option but to seek your help and request you to pull me of this trauma. I am highly scared and afraid that some day some muscle men will come and thrash me.
                        I shall be thankful if you cancel the bills raised on me and issue a "No Dues Certificate" at the earliest.

                          I'm a customer of Airtel and my no. is [protected] for the past 6 years now. Well I faced this problem a little while before too and now again. On December 2,2012 I was having a balance of around Rs.214. Them I made a transaction of Rs.5 by activating a additional pack. Then I checked my balance in the evening, I was reduced to Rs. 150.12. Now What Should I file Against Airtel. This is a regular habit for Airtel to deduct unauthorized balance??

                            Prepaid to Postpaid request was submitted to Airtel Gallery in Borivali E, Mumbai on 8th November 2012. I filled the conversion and submitted passport as validation document. I wasn't carrying my photo hence the store executive clicked my photo on his phone and said that he will attach it to the form. I received a call from Airtel next day confirming whether postpaid request has been submitted. I thought that due to Diwali it might have got delayed. I went to inquire on 18th and found that the request is pending due to photograph. I submitted the photograph and till today the conversion is pending. I raised a complaint to Nodal Office of Airtel but they keep giving stupid replies. They haven't anything regarding my complaint. On top of that they mentioned that Airtel will do verification again which means loss of other 3 to 4 days.

                            Yesterday i received a call from Airtel Executive to inquire regarding my complaint. She mentioned that she will revert back to me in 30 mins but no call received till today.

                            Atrocious service has been provided. I would like to add that Mr. Alam from Borivali store has helped me during this time.

                            Now my prepaid is switched off since Friday. Let me know when are you going to activate my services.

                              I have port my no. to Airtel postpaid in February, 2012. For three months gprs service was very good and they were charging me according to my plan. since August 2012, GPRS speed has decreased very much, I am having the same problem with my another Airtel Pospaid no. My GPRS services were stopped while I was in my credit limit.

                              Many times they have given me incomplete information while I was calling Customer Care on 121.

                              Many times they have closed my complains without informing me and without solving it.
                              These are two Complain No.

                                Sir,
                                I am fed up with repeated forcefull activations by airtel.Early morning today they deducted Rs 35 from account of my number [protected]. I called customer care & to my surprise they said that some silly service has been activated via sms. I never got any such service activated not even via sms.On my objection they refunded me rs 20 but for other 15 rs they said that my complaint has been forwarded.Now when i tried their customer care i was shocked to know that they have disconnected my customer care intentionally.Let me tell you that even yesterday they deducted rs 20 forcefully which they refunded when i objected.I request u to help me in this matter & get me back my 15 rs on mobile [protected] & even get my customer care started on mobile [protected],[protected].

                                Sir,
                                Their customer care called but didnt refund me d balance for [protected].He said that i have activated it myself via sms which is totally untrue.He even said that i have tried customer care thrice due to which they have disconnected it which is again untrue.i have called only once.Sir, pls take this matter seriouslly & refund me my balance & get my 121 activated again.I admit that aietel provide better service than other providers but this time they r wrong.

                                  CLIP charges @ Rs 50 has been continuously charged for plan H15 CUG 249 for mobile number [protected] since Sep 2008. As per TRAI regulations, CLIP is not chargeable for any customer since the year 2007. I have verified all my old bills found that the total CLIP amount is Rs. 2798.45 which has been deducted since Sep 2008. I have sufficient proof to confirm that CLIP are not supposed to be levied for any consumer especially corporate numbers.

                                  -> I have been following up with 121 customer care and appellate desk, but have not received any satisfactory reply yet.
                                  -> 121 customer care are extremely rude, and tell that customers are supposed to check the bill before paying it.
                                  -> Apellate office is polite, but unhelpful in resolving this issue.
                                  -> Qrc129111213110512298327 and Qrc130111218110012330660
                                  -> None of them are ready to raise a complaint number for this issue, even after asking so many customer care officials and appelate desk officials.
                                  -> All of them agree that the charges have been wrongly deducted from my mobile number.
                                  -> But they are not agreeing to revert back the entire amount. They are only agreeing to revert back the amount for the last three-five months (Rs 250)

                                  I have asked them to escalate this matter to the higher level, but no reply from them yet.

                                  I have all the bills from Sep 2008 until Oct 2012 to prove that my complaint is a legitimate one. Please help to get this matter sorted.

                                    I am a user of Corporate CUG connection of Airtel Postpaid
                                    Mobile Number [protected]
                                    I had an overdue amount of Rs. 109, I paid a bill of Rs 700 on November 27th after which Rs 109 was due. I did not pay this amount since this was LATE PAYMENT CHARGE added to my bill.
                                    I had received a call from Customer Care in which I requested to wave off this Fine. And the request of accepted.
                                    I did not got this amount waiver off, instead my services have been stopped (on 04.12.2012) due to this "overdue".

                                    So today (04.12.2012) I made the pending payments (Rs.100) but my services have not been resumed.

                                    Now I can not even call on the Airtel Customer Care.
                                    I've been trying calling Customer Care but all in vain!

                                    I need help on this.

                                      My Airtel Postpaid Connection with the number [protected] was disconnected on Dec/03/2012 with out my permission and with out any prior notice,When i checked with the customer service center they said it is documented and which i researched the reason why it is disconnected they said they see in there records that as per my wish the service was cancelled,which is false.i did not called Customer service to disconnect my connection.They said if i need to restore my connection i have to resubmit my Address proof and wait to get the service activated.


                                      I am really disappointed with this act and want my Airtel Service connection to be restored ASAP.

                                      AirTel — service disconnection

                                      From 7th September i cant use my mobile no([protected], service provider Airtel -Haryana) due to inactivation by the service provider without any prior information to me. for that i am going through a very tough time for my banking transaction and keep in touch with my near & dear people. so please let me inform what should i do now ?
