I've upgraded my airtel standard DTH to HD after i paid Rs.1999/- through IVR using my credit card on 4th May. I've been promised that it will be delivered in 24-48hrs and it was delivered on 8th May(after 96hrs), that too after multiple calls to them for tracking. And i was promised that SMax HD channel will be free till 27th May as an offer to the existing customer. This channel is not being activated since 8th May. I've spoken to customer care and the executive who took the booking several times, but no use. They are having standard reply of 'IT WILL BE ACTIVATED IN 24hrs', however now several 24hrs passed since 8th May. No action from Airtel DTH team.
And while booking, IVR system prompts that upgrade your existing setup box with just Rs.1750/- and they charged me Rs.1999/-. When i asked for clarification they told its an old offer, not valid. But still there in the IVR. Apart they recharged my account with Rs.1750/- only and detected that amount against HD box deliverable. I've sent mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com on may 8th, and so far no reply from them.

No calls from Airtel and no communication regarding installation. Surely this company is run by a bunch of jokers to fool people out of their money!
8th May: Money withdrawn by Airtel Rs. 6670/-
