It has been more than 10 days since I reported a complaint that I don't receive DTH channels. I've followed up through more than 6 emails with their customer service. Every now and then I would get a call from their customer service department checking whether the issue has been resolved. I would say no - the issue was not resolved, and they would go about promising that someone would be dispatched to fix the problem. Now, almost 10+ days and no resolution in sight. Why is this happening?

I feel helpless and cheated with Airtel. Their customer care IVR just does not care about what you type using your phone. It ask you to select an option, and even though you choose the right option, it would JUST not recognize your entry. Worst customer service.

Extremely disgusted and unhappy with the way they treat me, a customer, who just looks for value for what has been paid. I wish, someone else rules over them and helps helpless customers like me.

I WILL NOT RECOMEND AIRTEL to anyone else.

    Respected Sir/Madam,

    I Amit Marmat using airtel no. [protected], since from 2 months as i receives call or i do any call, i cant hear the opposite persons voice so i change my cell 4 time so i know that my mobiles r fine n airtel service having some problem so i complain on customer care so they just said to change the setting n after i did it, but than also i m facing the same problem n now i m unable to call customer care, Plz help as my time n money is waisting through this calls problem.

    Airtel GSM — Incoming and Outgoing call details

    For my prepaid number: [protected] I wanted both incoming and outgoing calls for May-2012 very very urgently. Outgoing calls very important for me. Airtel gallery not helpful on this. Please sendat prescribed mail address of this number.
    i am gaurish kumar soni using my airtel number [protected] form last 2 3 years. I have charged unwanted internet charges for 4 5 times when i was in roaming and my account get nil, i suffer so many times because of this charges. I am complain to the customer care but my problem not solved by the executive because of this reason i am going stop and change my operator to the other operator. I face so many probem on the roaming please consider my request .

      This is with reference to the data card number [protected] for which the complaint was raised on 9th of may at around 11:20 am for the services being debarred .The series of event which happened are like this:

      the customer service representative informed that due to non payment, the services to the number has been stopped..post getting that information, had made the online payment of the total amount outstanding which in this case was Rs 3035 and the reference number is 584501..it was confirmed also by the cust rep that the payment has been posted and the services will be resumed in 4 hours time

      as a customer I patiently waited for the tat mentioned by the cust rep and around 4:00pm in the evening again checked for the service and it was not working..called up the customer care again and this time was again reconfirmed that the service will be resumed in 4 hours time.

      Next day ( that is 10th of may)again the service were not working and calling again got connected to ms preeti in customer care who very enthusiastically informed that the services are not resumes because of some technical glitch which will be rectified as she is making an escalation to this matter and she again required only 4 hours to resume the services..

      and when again I started working on 11th of may , the services will still not working and this time rana ,the customer care rep ( again at around 11:15am) tried hard to buy again that standard script of 4 hours and post insisting to speak to the supervisor , some mr amit came on line and again asked for 4 hours to get the technical error which never happens to rectified and promised to get involve personally to get the same solved..

      around 4:45pm in the evening and with any calculation of maths that 4 hours are over ( don't know how many times )and the data card services are still not resumed

      with ref to the mentioned complaint, pathetic response from all the customer service center and representative..called again on 14th of may 2012 and spend time from morning 11:30 am to 1:00pm but could not get the resolution to my query..

      have spoken to the mentioned customer service rep and the supervisor ( amit and amitabh) both DID not come on the line to address the problem.)

      No coordination between department and no empathy with the customer.It was a total harassment experience.Would like to complaint that in airtel,the customer is a stupid person who is just wasting his/Her time , money , energy to get any thing solved as they will take their own sweet time ( irrespective of whatever tat that they commit) to rectify the problem and customer is to blame for non payment and harness for the same by calling don't know how many times and no relief is given to the customer on the complaint..pathetic services and frustrating customer just waiting for the complaint to get resolved

          subject: wrong deduction of Rs 399 and not providing services.

          I Ms.Saba Khan would like to bring to your notice that i am an airtel customer and have a blackberry plan activated for Rs.399 monthly on my phone,
          however since 1 May i have been unable to acess to my blackberry plan due to inconviniess in Airtel service
          .
          Following are the details of complaint and the service :
          complain: deducted balance of Rs.399 from my account Rs. 12 left on 1 may
          Reply from Airtel service:thank you for your request ur BIS plan will b activated with in 4 hours.you will reciev a msg on activation.(1 may 7:37 pm)

          however the plan wascnot activated and i received a msg mentioning deactivation at 7:57 am on
          2 nd may i called airtel customer
          .Reply from Airtel Service:thank you for contacting airtel your request refrence no. registerd on 2 may-2012 7:38 is RBBAD[protected]
          however the plan wasnt activated and i have received a msg later that the plan could not be activated.

          Recurringly the same issue happend on 3 may and 4 may where recharge was deducted from my account on

          5 MAY i personally went to airtel outelt in community centre in new friends colony at 6:30 pm
          and the refrence no. is CBBAD[protected] (5 may 2012 at time 18:14)

          On 7May again a complain has given at nodal office on this no.[protected] to Mr. kunal gupta.
          he said ur plan will b activted with in 4 hours.

          after tht i recieved msg request refrence no. CRCHS[protected](at 15:37 time).

          I am dissapointed with the airtel service and also due to behavior of the executives at custmer service as they are blaming the complain to the blackberry custmer service .i have even rectified it from the blackberry service and they say that balance deduction is done from airtel service. i saved all messeges as aproof balance deduction message and refrence number messages all
          . Kindly look into the matter .and revert back asap as i am unable to acess my blackberry services.

            Hi,

            I am an airtel postpaid customer ([protected]) and had requested a cancellation of my Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) plan on 21st April 2012. My request was attended to by Mr. Rahul, Customer care representative and i was promised that the BIS service would be deactivated shortly and i was supposed to recieve a confirmation on status by 2nd May 2012. I was promised that i wouldn't be charged for the BIS plan charges for the next billing cycle as well. I didn't recieve any update either by sms/email or call.

            Today, as i rang up the customer care number, they acknowledge that my request was recorded on 21st April 2012. When i asked for a status update, the executive told me that there is a system update going on and it would take another 4hours for them to get the system up and running. Out of my curiosity i asked what would the the SLA for deactivation of BIS service, for which i got the reply as 3-4days. Its more than 3weeks since my request is pending. The customer service agent told me today that i would be charged pro-rata for the BIS till its actually deactivated.

            Myself and family have been loyal users of Airtel services and feel there is a marked difference now in the customer service approach of Airtel. Last incident we faced was the internet plan on mobile of my spouse changed without her knowledge and the bill amount came upto Rs.4000/- which eventually Airtel admitted as a system error and we got the usage charges waived. I have been using Airtel for the past one year and i feel i cannot trust the services/billing any more. I am promised a status update today from the customer service in another 4hours, failing which i would be sending a request to cancel my mobile connection today. i believe folks from Airtel would take a note of this and do the needful.

              I was using Airtel postpaid (+91-[protected] ) since past 1 years. Last Month I have informed customer care of airtel postpaid connection to deactivate my airtel no [protected] and i also received a call from yr airtel personnel asking for reasons of deactivation & she told me that if we continue this network with airtel she will give Discount in bill of 300/- in that bill & also discount the Rentel charges of 199 Rs. in next bill. and told that if we are not satisfied after 2 month we will closed connection. always me told to customer care for colsed or de-activete my vale add services from 5 month but they still charged amount of value add service in bill. & also they told me that this service & 3G also activeted by me, I just spoke again to customer care and he asked me to write email to [protected]@airtelindia.com and intimate the same.I am sorry to inform but airtel has been very inefficient and i had bad time during usage of this no.Hence i had to shift to other service provider.

                This page is not updated. The 225 pack is not even available anymore.

                Also, unable to reach customer care, by calling 121. Calls keep getting disconnected when transferring to an operator.

Isme Airtel to Other network ko 100 sms bhej sakte hain mohine me.. Me ye service 8th May tak enjoy kiya par usk bad aur nehin..
                  8th May ko pehle Airtel ko bilkul v sms na geya so us din Bsnl ko sms bhej k adjust kiya par 9th May ko na bsnl na Airtel ko sms geya.. So me 20 30 bar try kar kar k customer care se bat kiya.. Wo bole ki mere phone me balance kom se so balance dal k sms bhejne ko. 9th May ko main balance dala par sms pack active na hua aur main balance se katna suru.. Fir jitna try kiya aapk ghatiya customer care se bat karne ko par na laga.. So me 9th ko online compain diya aur aapk taraf se v reply aaya.. Kisine 1 din me problem solve ho jane ka wada kiya to kisine 3 day.. par 12th ko 3din hua par koi v solve na hua problem ka..

                  Ye kaisa ghatiya service he Airtel.. Simple sa problem ko solve karne k liye kya 1sal loge salon.. Phone karo ta lagta nehin.. Bhik mango paisa bahut milega par looto mat.. Avi tak na mere problem solve hua na Main balance se jo 10 rupe kate hain wo loutaye hain..

                  Aap jaise ghatiya company k liye muh se kuch aacha nikalta nehin.. Sudhor jao barna no 1 se number 100 me pahanch jaoge...Humare wajese aapk comapny he.. Humne hi aap ko number 1 ka position diye hain aur aise lootoge to no 1 se hata k number k game se hi bahaga denge..

                    1.I have submit one application for Disconnection (M.No.[protected]) through Airtel D.S.T Person in Airtel Vijaynagar on dt.16.11.2012 but company has not discoonected yet. and Company is raising monthly bill . and that bill is only for monthly rent . and Receipt of that application has not been given to me.

                    2.I have submit one application for Disconnection (M.No.[protected], [protected]) in Airtel Vijaynagar on dt.17.12.2012 but company has not discoonected yet. and Company is raising monthly bill . and these connection had been given to employee and employee left job without any intimation and they took sim with him. and i informed to company for disconnection. and i m attaching receipt of that request. and pls make a arrangement for refund my payment which i have deposited against same no.

                    Airtel Postpaid mobile connection — Non Refund of ISD Deposit even after disconnection

                    I got my Airtel mobile number disconnected on 31/12/2008, and while i was using the mobile number, I deposited an amount of 1500 Rs. towards ISD connection which I was informed that it is refundable. At the time of getting the number disconnected, it was confirmed that i will be getting back the amount in 15 to 20 working days by cheque to my mailing address. itz been two months, and after inquiring, nothing happened, again all lame execuses by Airtel. Surprisingly in Feb, 2009, i get monthly bill reminder from Airtel asking me to pay for usage made in Jan, 2009. Ain't this fleecing / cheating the customer. Please, please, stop doing this, or alteast some law need to be constituted again all these service providers. When they want payment, they harass the customer, and when they have to pay up, they mess up.

                      So much of fan fare and finally Airel 4G ([protected]) arrived. I was one of the first customers to buy it for Unlimited Rs1999 plan. It worked at a speed of 3-4 Mbps (they advertise 100 Mbps) at Salt Lake, Kolkata for 3 days and then it stopped. Repeated calls to the customer care[protected] did not result in any thing. They give reference nos and complaints but no one is able to solve it for last three days. The place where I bought the 4G connection is sending their Airtel Engineer for last three days but some how he does not reach my residence to fix the issue. The customer care could not find reference nos which they messaged F[protected] and complaint no 43620717 and then I have to make a fresh complaint.
                      Basically Airtel is taking all its 4G customers on a ride. Beware of them as they do not have any refund policy if their network is down. I was told that I will not get any refund though their network is down for three days and today being a Sunday, Airtel Engineer will not be able to come and I have to wait the standard 48 hours for the Airtel Engineer.
                      I have been taken by a ride and I would advise other new customers to not be taken by a ride by Airtel.

                      AIRTEL- CALLING CARDS — Misselling by Airtel on their calling cards

                      I had enquired about the Airtel home calling card at the New Delhi international airport. I was told by their representative that the calling card does not involve any cost of access except the call rate of Rs8 per minute. I had also specifically enquired if this was true for Singapore and I was told that the same was true.

                      However, I later found out that each access using the calling card costed me Singapore dollar 2.5. This is way above the amount that I would have paid, had I jsut used my local India number. On my return I contacted a person by the name of Sunil. This gentlemen was least interested in sorting out the issue. I later found out that mine wasn't an insolated case and that many others have faced similar fate by using the calling cards

                      Interestingly The Airtel customer service representatives disconnect the phone as soon as you tell them that you have a complaint

                      I have an Airtel 4G connection in pune. The sales guy told me that the tower is in my society while taking the connection. Post an amazing demo i went ahead with it and today after a wifi router which cost me nearly 5500 + running a wire a from the sweet spot (demo spot) to my work station another 2000 i have nearly lost 7500 in the whole ordeal. Today nothing works. I get frequent disconnections( 20 to 25 minutes and i am disconnected) My complaints to the customer care has been just pushed between their two teams which is their Network team and the other is the home visiting engineers. They now tell me that the site is 500 mtrs away from house and thats the reason i am facing this issue. The network team even had the audacity to to tell me to suspend my account till they dont get adequate conenctivity in my area. On my call to the customer care today i realised that i have played online games and the charge is another 6oo for that. I would have loved to play games but not on a connection which i could not even use. My guess is under the pretext of testing the visiting engineers have been playing them. A very BAD experience. On my questioning on authentication before making such payments for such games i was not given any answer. They say you may have accidentally clicked on them.

                      Guys. My bad exp. In aloss. After paying taxes and not getting any services from the government i am now even facing these private service providers and getting the same crap.

                      My Last try to approach some senior authority at the Airtel website gave me the below notification (note: This is a copy paste from their website after clicking on the link for Grivance Redressal on the below mentioned. Another anecdote from Airtel :). Even here i as a consumer am being blamed to pull their site down.

                      Hello Abhilasha,




                      I subscribed to the Airtel 4G (USB modem) as soon as it launched in Pune in Nov 2012. I was very happy and expected and was promised a wonderful browsing experience at lightning speeds and great connectivity. Instead what I got was a product that has barely worked for 10 days in the last 8 weeks and a customer service team that is hardly reachable and creates service request numbers when I reach them only to auto-close the requests without any action on the same.



                      The service was tested by your sales guy and service engineer prior to my buying the product and was told that there is excellent 4G coverage in my area and that connectivity would not be an issue. On the recommendation of the sales rep (Mr. Shekhar) I purchased the 4G USB modem along with a TP-Link 4G Wi-Fi router totaling to Rs. 7500/-. I paid in cash on request since I was told that paying by cheque would delay activation.



                      The problem started two days after I bought the product with the USB modem not responding and zero connectivity. I tried contacting the customer service helpline @ [protected] and was unable to get anybody to take down a service request. I tried all options on the IVR and everybody who picked up said that the IVR had not been setup for 4G yet and someone would call me back. I was not even given a service request number. After a week I was able to reach someone who told me that somebody had notated my account with the remarks "Customer requested deactivation" and that my account had been disabled. This was when I had paid the first bill sent to me ahead of time. When I contested this, I was told that there was some error and that the account would be reinstated. The same day the service was resumed and worked for a couple of days.



                      Since then, the device has again stopped working and I have been chasing the customer service helpline ([protected]) and the sales rep @ +91-98602XXXXX but to no avail. Both the devices sit on my desk without any use to me. However I am getting the bills for the service on time. I have been able to get some service request numbers; however they have been auto-closed as before without any resolution. (Complaint #47503115 dated Dec 9 2012, #47541762 dated Dec 11 2012, #47596027 etc.). In the interim I am forced to use a Reliance Netconnect+ USB modem which may not be a 4G but does the simple job of keeping me connected really well!!!



                      I am clueless on how to proceed further on this and then I get the below email telling me that I am a valued customer and your favorite. I really do not know whether to laugh or cry.



                      Please tell me how I can return these devices to your office. Looking them lie on my desk without use keeps reminding me of my folly.

                          on my cell phone every day approximately 20 sms and 10 calls from airtel only,i have complaint so many times to my service provider Bharti cellular ltd.
                          but every time a new complaint no but no action .
                          complaint by mail and to customer care also.

                          i have registered my number for DND and even after the cooling period of 45 days, daily i am getting 3-4 commercial sms.

                          i have called airtel numerous times, and all they do is ask me the same details over and over again and every damn time they give me a new complaint number and increase the resolve date by another 2 days.

                          this is a complete scam by airtel and its customer service is of no help.

                          apparently i am not the only one suffering from this, numerous of my friends complain about the same thing but do nothing to stop it.
                          actionshould be taken against airtel as it doesnt give a about the user compaints.
                          If you really cared you would have notcide the e-mail option
                          Moreover i have already put up (and i counted them!) 10 complaints regarding the same dam issue to the customer care.

                          Yet i keep receiving bloody irritating commercial sms and now even phone calls.
                          Its as if airtel itself is trying to harass its own customer. Stupid service...all you people do is send some letter to the TRAI for the concerned SMS sender...but hello there are thousands of such commercial sms sender...so are you waiting for the customer to give you 1000 complaints so that you can send 1000 letters to TRAI.

                            I recharged an airtel prepaid number using ngPay mobile app. The recharge amount is 300 (Transaction Id NGPAY[protected]). According to Airtel's current online prepaid recharge schemes, I should have got a full talk time of 300. Instead I got 264 only. I tried calling Airtel customer care numbers (121 and 198) numerous times but just before reaching the customer care executive, the line gets disconnected. I could not even find a straight forward means of writing to airtel directly (searched on airtel.in / contact section).

                              I confirmed purchase of Aitel HD connection - Order # 1783434 and Rs. 6670 was deducted from my bank account on 8th May for package name - South mega HD 12 month bundle. The airtel executive informed me that the money was not received and sent an executive for collecting the money once again. On confirming that the money had been deducted from my account, the executive left after connecting me with the marketing team, who confirmed that the money was received and assured about installation within 48 hours.

                              After repeated follow-up no response has been received even after speaking on 12th morning to a supervisor named Mr. Khan (who informed me that he has spoken to the Area Sales Manager to expedite the issue). On 12th evening, I spoke to an executive named Naveen, who refused to connect the call to any senior executive / supervisor stating that the installation would happen on Sunday - 13th.

                                My sim (Mobile no [protected]) was showing insert sim message. i was adviced to replace the sim at your relationship centre. accordingly i was given a new sim card .they told that the new sim will be activated within 4 hours. 5 days!!! have passed since then, but the sim is not activated. the relationship centre guys and your customer service is clueless. I m in roming ( Kolkata ). will the problem be resolved or not?

                                Airtel — Replacement SIM not activated yet

I had got the Sim at 6:45 pm from the Airtel Office(Regional) at S.A.Road, Elamkulam, in Cochin City. I was told uponmy inquiry that the SIM Card will become fully active within 2 hours at-the-most.                                   Hi,

                                  I have been using Airtel Digital TV connection for past 2 years, while the service was always poor, the recent encounter does put a question
                                  mark on Airtel's ability to provide basic services. I have opted for an upgrade from a standard connection to an HD connection on 26th
                                  April 2012. This upgrade will only require a new HD set-top box and nothing else.

                                  I have submitted a request on its website and very promptly got a call from the service executive. The executive was quick to take the request and asked me to immediately pay over IVR a sum of Rs. 1999 for the upgrade. I did oblige and paid it up. I was promised that the upgrade will be done in 72 hours time at max. It's been 16 days but I have not heard anything from them. Now, since I have paid in advance it has become my responsibility to constantly call up the customer service and ask when it will be upgraded.
                                  Everytime I call I get a responce stating either -

                                  It will be done by today EOD or
                                  An executive from the Installation team will call you in half-an-hour.

                                  Well, neither the installation has happened till date neither anyone from the Installation Team calls up. Everyday I call up the customer
                                  care no. and talk to different people and get the same answer.

                                  By this time I also might be knowing half of the people from Customer Care - Sandeep, Santhosh, Shahrukh, Farooq, Kalyani, Saloni, Sunil and a lot more..
                                  The sms also provides a no. to follow-up - [protected] but nobody ever answers this no.

                                  I have also registered several complaints but to no avail. It only falls on deaf ears. These are the complaint nos. created and still open -

                                  Don't know if they believe in any kind of SLA or tracking complaints and closing them.

                                  Now, the basic question, if Airtel can not provide Set top boxes should it not shut it shop? What's the point in taking people's money and harassing them?

                                    Hi Appellant officer,
                                    I agree that for 6GB+ bill is 4k+. But my concerns raised here are not addressed:



                                    1st Problem:

                                    • Agent who sold the plan said that bill shield was 1000

                                    • Now it turns out that he gave a plan that is not in the pamphlet that
                                    he gave me . I never signed up for this plan

                                    • I would have outrageously rejected the plan had the agent told me
                                    that per GB usage charge is 3000.

                                    2nd Problem:

                                    • Below attached screen shot shows 3G usage on 18th as 4.1 GB. But my
                                    cycle ends on 19th and I receive a bill for 6GB?

                                    • You can¿t argue by the word approximation because actual usage shown
                                    is 6 GB which is 50% higher than the SMS. 50% difference can¿t be said
                                    approximation

                                    • An error of approximation of 50% has made me pay 3000 extra which is
                                    4 times more than my bill I anticipated or 300% higher or 660% higher than my
                                    previous bill..

                                    • I have never signed for a plan which gives 20k usage and gives 16k
                                    discount

                                    • My problem is running from 26th April.

                                    • Every time they send my bill and plan to backend team. As per bill,
                                    as per plan everything is fine. But this is not what I had signed for¿ Usage is

                                    • I¿m in a big soup since every time AirTel is solving a problem that
                                    is not there.



                                    4th problem:

                                    • My credit limit is 1000. How could you allow to exceed and reach 4k+

                                    this is arun from chennai. my airtel number is [protected]. for the past one week my account balance was deducted for 170 rupees .
                                    the reason was gprs downloading which had not done. am also having 2gb internet pack, after many attempts and complaints my number is deactivated from calling customer care.after several attempts they refunded 100rs. not the full amount. this week again they deducted 80rs.

                                    am deeply disappointed with the service of airtel after i written here, nobody contacted me and refunded my money. but again the same mistake happened to me. again without my knowledge they activated cricket score alert and deducted 25rs money for java game download which i did nothing.
                                    i tried to contact the customer care. my number is still blocked to contact c care...what a stupid service you are giving...every time i contact u people through other's mobile. now they refunded 36rs. but the call costs me 15rs for contacting c care..whats the point in it?
                                    still 80rs not refunded...and i hope u people here are just a back office frauds just to answer the posts posted here.thats becoz to save your company's reputation. if anybody illitrate ou people will easily cheat them..airtel is completely a worst service provider nad customer care too...

                                      My sister(Nancy Aggarwal)was called up yesterday by Airtel(Delhi NCR) staff to pay her outstanding dues of Rs 2300. During his conversation he called up my sister and my wife and used cheap language. My sister however is ready to pay the dues and asked him that she will pay Rs 1000 this month and the balance in Rs. 1300 next month.

                                      Inspite of that this person - Sanjay and Rahul used unprofessional language and continuosly calling her and harassing her for the payment.

                                      We want to take a strict action against such recovery agents. Payments will be made once these two employees
                                      are punished and taught leasson, how to behave with Females.

                                        I want to raise claim/ complaint against Airtel internet Service.

                                        Myself sachin gaikwad , i m one of the airtel service user with number[protected]. Today on date i used internet directly under emergency condition on 08:04 am in the morning and after 10 minutes i got message of that all my balance of 54 INR was deducted for use. i immediately communicated the problem with customer care Representative Santosh & He give me the answer that within above mentioned time i downloaded 54000 KB of data. Which practically not possible, as i m using 2G service.

                                        It s either their system error or said answer is manipulated by the airtel Representative Please give me exact calculation & or system log in written of deducation of data and if airtel is unable to give that then refund the said amount. 54 INR for 10 minutes is the highest price for any internet service paid as compared to nowadays charges.
