I applied for a new Airtel broadband connection through the airtel website. In a couple of days they contacted me on my mobile and asked for the address of my premises. After 4 days, they said the feasibility check is done and they would be able to provide me a connection.

The next day, they sent a person to collect my address and ID proofs and a month's rental as advance to wave off the installation charges. I filled up the application form with CEF number CH1226248 and paid Rs.999 via cheque. I was promised that the connection would be provided within a weeks time.

The cheque was deposited the next day but for about a week I did not get any information about my connection. I called the customer care and they said that my application has been cancelled due to lack of infrastructure. I wonder what is the feasibility check then for. However, I asked them to refund my money and said that I would get a cheque delivered before Dec 7, 2011.

More than 2 weeks have passed but I haven't got the cheque until now. Even if I call the customer care, they disconnect the line while describing them the problem. This has happened twice today.

I request you to take strict action against Airtel for looting my money.

    Hi,

    I am N . venkataramana and i am using Airtel gsm sim from last 7 years, my mobile number is [protected]. one month before my sim was blocked and i called to customer care so many times they told me that my mobile number was blocked due to valid proofs . 3 weeks back again i provided valid proofs but my problem was not yet solved . Now i am facing serious problem because i given this number to my friends and relatives for me no choice i want this number. so please kindly solve my problem.

    AIRTEL GSM SERVICE — Unexpectedly poor service at Alok Vihar , jamshedpur

    Respected Sir,

    most humbly and respectfully, i wish to inform you that i am a regular user of Airtel Prepaid GSM service for approximately one and half years . However to my utter surprise, for past six months all my believes regarding smart and excellent service of Airtel has come to an end and now i am just an ordinary sufferer . Let me explain you my situations

    I am residing in Alok Vihar area of Telco Colony, Jamshedpur .Through out the week 24X7 there is huge network problem . Whenever we want to make any call, we have to come to our terrace / balcony as network is inaccesible inside the rooms . Situation become more pathetic when network suddenly ceases during ongoing talks and then one has to stop his/her conversation .

    Not only me, but there are majority of Airtel users in my area who share my plight . Hence, in interest of commoners i would like you to take serious note of this problematic situation and initiate necessary corrective actions .

    Airtel GSM Service — network problem

    Trere are no no one who can solve the problem of customer nither cutomer care nor

    Air tel GSM SIM — stop my services

    my self YATI PARJESH has been suffring from Air Tel servise last one weak. My no.[protected] was post paid since last three year but i convert it in pre-paid 13.04.2010 after that i submit my I.D again for Pre-paid to BALA JI Telecom. Munjal Complex Rohtak.and my no.is continuesly second time stop from last weak.first time they give me a reson about my I.D.But after submited my I.D again my number working for few dayes but it again stop my all servises(out going &In comming) and second time they give me same reason that was my I.D is not submitted.and i have wandring from last weak regularly to BALA JI TELECOM MUNJAL COMPLEX ROHTAK.and i did not get any positive response from here.and i have got a lot of losses and i also very harashed.

    AIRTEL GSM SERVICE — deactivate the active sim

    The local aitel office employee are not attending customers properly and use to abuse them.
    The have deactived my airtel sim No.[protected]. and the messaged me to deposite documents. Now the are not activating my sim.

    My problem is not solved . today i received sms from Airtel "Dear customer the airtel mobile number [protected] has been permanently disconnected and now has been recycled due to non usage". Now tell me i am using this number from last 7 years how can you say that i am not using this number please take a necessary action and seriously i am feeling very bad about Airtel service.

      I have a complain regarding Airtel Digital Tv...
      I am a customer of airtel digital tv since two years but my account has been suspended from 1 year...
      Now i have been informed that if i will recharge my account for 6 months,i will get 6 months free service..
      ... Now when i hv rechared my account on 19th December they said that within 24 to 48 hours i will get my bonus 6 months pack...
      But now they r not providing us the 6 months free pack nd i hv registered a complaint nd the complaint id is 14766389 and now they are saying that i have to recharge with a same plan as before but their executive had informed me before,dat i will get benefit of bonus by recharging any of the plan so i recharged with the same as they told before by amount of Rs.1085, i recharged with 1100 .

      Now plss help me to solve my problem nd suggest me vat to do....i will b thnkful to u for d same...

        Last Monday (19.12.2011) I called to customer care regarding the error code SM2. They told we will send service engineer to your home .
        The service engineer came and rectified my problem and he asked 100Rs as visiting charge without providing any receipt. I replied to that engineer I will not give any money satellite migration is your problem you must rectify free of cost but he is not accepting my word so he again changed the dish position to wrong angle and simply went out from my home , Again I called to customer care they told no need to give money please provide the information about that engineer we will make a complaint and again we will dispatch engineer to your home. After that no one is come to my home to solve this problem. The compliant is going totally waste no one taking action about this issue. one week is over. I am thinking to disconnect my all airtel services (DTH, wi-fi, mobile service). because of the worst behavior of the service engineer .

        Airtel DTH — Dish Alignment

        Hi my Airtel DTH customer id is [protected], my problem is that i have Mega Package in which there are few channels which I am unable to view, while querying the customer care they informed me that my dish needs realignment , on 21st of June they told me that the realignment will be done in 5 working day , now it is 4th of July and I am still waiting . I still wondering why Airtel Dth Customer Service so poor while they promise to deliver the best?

          I has been using my airtel no ([protected]) for last 8 years. For the last 1 year I am working in Saudi Arabia.. I just checked my sim yesterday and found that its showing "Sim card registration failed". I had a balance of around 350 Rs and validity till july 2012. All my relatieves and friends are having this number. I tried to call on that number and is ringing too.

          Kindly activate my number as soon as possible.

            Dear sir/madam,

            I am drafting this mail with respect to the Airtel broadband connection i was using a couple of months ago. Due to the non-working of my internet connection I registered for a complaint for which I got a reply to my mobile is

            "Your Service Request reference number for phone number ch1058599 tn is 8544900. We will get back to you by 08-Jan-2012 15:48:15. This is an auto generated message. Please do not reply to this message."

            After this complaint, A technician came after a week and checked the line and asked me to replace my modem saying it was having some fault.(Actually the modem was working fine, when i checked with my office internet)

            Based on his suggestion, I bought a new modem which costs around 1000/-. And even after that, the issue was not resolved. Again i registered for a complaint and again a technician visited and again he checked the line and he went off... this was going on and on and on... and finally the person who popped out to fix the issue is Mr. Suresh - [protected].

            He checked the line and fixed it and the reply he had given me is "The line was having some problem. And I fixed it, and henceforth your Internet connection will be stable".

            And after 10 - 15 mins, it again started all over from the beginning, it was not working. Since i got Mr. Suresh contact number. I called him up and said the issue and again he did the same job. And again it was the same thing which i got from his service.

            So I decided to stop using broadband and registered for a request with your customer care representative when they were calling me for the non-Payment of Broadband (for which I am not using actually). Since they were into collection department, they said it has been escalated to the respective department and I'd be getting call for the same.

            And in the month of December 2011, A Senior official from Billing department apologized for the issue that has happened, and said she asked not to withdraw the connection, As she convinced me to change the Plan to Rs. 500/- and also said that she would refund the amount which i invested for modem. And after that, I didn't get any call for change of Plan rather getting 'n' number of calls for non-Payment of bill.


            How can one pay for the thing which actually they were not using it?

            So I am requesting you to cancel my Broadband connection and cancel my Outstanding amount.

Some calls are recieved from the company for bills non payment. upon telling them issues they said Yes sir u r right we will catch u afterwards with new bill but from that time the phone is disconnected and also i aam unable to call the toll free customer care.

              Airtel — Fake billing to consumers

              I have an Airtel prepaid connection [ [protected] ]. and there is a site called http://gofun.in which sends an sms every 3 days that Rs. 20 has been deducted from your account.

              It is funny that I have never suvnscribed to that account. I do not have the time for it. I just use my cell to make calls and an occasional SMS.

              I would like to authorities to take action on it asap so that other poor poeple are not cheated like this.

              The website is http://gofun.in that sends SMS.

              I recharged for 224 and within 10 - 12 days Rs. 100 is deducted. It seems that Airtel has resorted to crummy tricks to take the customers for a ride at the same time feeding its employees at this time of the recession.

                I'm Zaheer Mohamed subscribed to digital tv ( customer id : [protected]). On Dec 20th, 2011, I made a payment of Rs.1190 ( receipt no: 50312-Shell Transource) to a airtel tv person for the multiple tv connection. But till now i do not find any service person coming for installation.I do not know why those guys are giving false promise of within 2 days the installation will be done. I have already had escalated the issue to 4 people who belongs to the escalation team. The first supervisor girl whom i spoke with yesterday morning gave me a committment saying the installation will be done by today evening 6.00 pm. But to my total disappointment, the issue is not still resolved. when i called back again to the escalation team, a guy called vinod again promised me that the issue will be resolved within a hour. But again to my disappointment, the issue was still there when i called again to a guy called praveen who is again giving a promise that issue will be resolved by tomorrow afternoon. I know what they will say tomorrow-"Sir we give you a promise time of monday since we are not working o
                the meaning of PROMISE has lost its sense . Also i dont know why those guys are having escalation team who does nothing but to give false promises.When i called for making a payment, the next day i had a person visiting my home. but for doing the installation, not even a single guy had visited till now.

                A word of mouth can make a lot of customers. But that is definitely not going to be good for those guys.

                Truly Disappointed and Frustrated Customer.

                  Mere pass airtel prepaid ki two sim hai. Ek M.P ki hai or ek Punjab ki hai par meri complaint yeh hai ki jab bhi koi phone airtel ki taraf se aata he to main phone attend karu ya na karu to bhi koi na koi service apne aap active ho jati hai kai baar to main phone kaat he deta hu to bhi kai baar service apne aap active ho jati hai or hume pata he nahi chalta or paise kat jate hai or lagatar kat te rehte hai or yeh mere dono sim main kai baar ho gaya hai. Maine kai baar iski complaint bhi customer care me ki par koi fayeda nahi hua. Meri Gujarish hai ki ispar koi kadi karwahi ki jaye taki meri tareh dusre logo ko preshan na hona pade or hamare paise ka nuksan na ho. Nahi to majburan hame dusre network ki sim leni padegi.

                    Hello Airtel,

                    This is to bring into your notice that I have raised a complaint against faulty data usage with Airtel on 21/12/2011.
                    Complaint No. 9127010
                    One of your manager Jasmine and Sarasvati has assisted me on this case. However, they were unable to provide satisfactory answer and gave one of the worst service experience.
                    I need answer on this case otherwise I will forcefully file a complaint against Airtel in consumer court.
                    Please look into the screenshot attached with this email and answer why there is a usage of 1 to 4 GB around everyday same time same minute same second i.e 3:15:26 A.M ?
                    Usage of 30 GB has exceeded within just 10 days !!! What a crap..?
                    Airtel is providing one of the worst service and cheating customer. Airtel customer service is JOKE OF THE INDUSTRY.
                    Hope will get some reply on this mail.

                      Actually I have complained in Airtel company against getting services get activated on my phone automatically and cut that much amount from my account.
                      As I complaint they deactivated the services but along with that they have changed my prepaid plan also without informing me. So I got irritated and I have asked them about Portability. But they didn't respond me still with any action. I didn't get any call from Customer care.
                      I got disappointed with the service they had given me so I would request you to take all this in consideration and help me to get the portability with the company.
                      This is very irresponsible and shameful.

                      AirTel — automatic disconnection of my prepaid mobile service

                      no network zone for two month so i could not use your service there. last week
                      when i came back to city i found that my no. is temporary out of service and in
                      the same SIM i have been alloted with the alternate no. when i contacted to
                      customer care they could not give me satisfactory answer. I want to continue
                      with the the same no. as it is my old no.. Earliar also i went for the same
                      place for almost same period but i have never fased such problem in past.

                        My Airtel Wifi is not working propoerly. I have taken the services one week before. I live in a storey house and want wifi to work on every floor. Your executive have fixed two modems i.e. one on top floor and one on the ground. The major problem I am facing is that they both are not working together,. I am unable to connect on all the floors at a single time. I want to have one single mdem but the range should cover my whole building.

                        Plz solve the problem asap as we trust your gud name and expect that it will be sorted out in a day or two.

                            Last month I got a call from Airtel office about a Airtel Apne Postpaid Scheme. so I told her to send Airtel sales person to my office . Next day Sales person came and I have provided documents and deposit for 2 connection . I have given him 600 Rs. and He told me within 2 hours service will activate but its 2 months now and his contact number is switched off now.

                              This is regarding my Airtel Number [protected]

                              I asked for complete outstanding at the airtel gallery on 13.10.2011 at 15:00 for closure of my account.

                              I was told that the complete outstanding is Rs.1012.00
                              I made the payment by card.
                              I was told that we have taken in your request for closure and the needfull will be done.
                              A service request number was given to me for closure 40074692

                              Why can the company not close the account immediately after payment?

                              I received a bill from airtel for a period of 11.10.2011 to 10.11.2011 (For a period when the number is closed)
                              I am told that I have to pay Rs. 1012 for a bill dated 12.10.2011

                              The usage charges in the bill are as follows
                              Call charges Rs. 0
                              Value added charges Rs. 0
                              Roaming Rs. 0
                              Bill period charges Rs. 174 (What is a bill period charge? how can company incur costs for a closed account)
                              Taxes Rs. 17.4
                              previous balance Rs.819 (how can I have previous balance when I have asked for complete amount to pay on the 13.10.2011 at the airtel gallery and made the payment?)

                              I am receiving harrasment calls for payment.

                              I do not mind paying this amount but there is no garuntee that the account has been closed still.
                              I shall make a payment only when I get a letter saying that your account is closed.

                              The company is not suffering any losses due to me as the usege for the phone usage is and was always 0. The charges they are claiming are only rentels for a period when they should have shut the phone.
                              Even if they want to claim a previous balance, it is only for rentals. This card was bought for data purposes and it never worked. every time it would say please activate the network.
                              I had bought the card for business purposes and to use the internet on the go, but the services were horrible and never got data conncetion in any of the Metros as prolaimed in the advertisement by the company. In fact I have suffered losses due to bad service.
                              Hence I had decided to close the account.

                              Please advise for aproper closure. I do not mind putting a case in the consumer court for fraudulent behavior and cheating.

                                  I am writing this complaint after chased the airtel customer service for a month, and made about 50 calls to the service person/manager.

                                  I have initated Number portability request from vodafone to airtel a month back. ( actually there was an attempt to initiate, 2months back.. but that time , I have generated the unique port number , and gave to the airtel sales person(1).. it seems he delayed his part.. so it is expired).
                                  The sales person (1) gave the new sim and he told the reqeust will be completed in 7 working days. In a week I got a call from a airtel to enquire about my details. He said it will be activated in 2 days. After that i didnt get any calls. Then I called person (1). He said , he will check and let me know in 2 hours. But no response. Then I treid reach him next day. He didnt pick the call. For next one week, I have tried to call him daily.. but he is not answering my call. Then I went to Airtel service center near Alwarpet. The sales person (2) in the office noted down my current number, unique port number details. He said he will get back to me in a day. As usual , I didnt get any response from him. Then I called him. He said he will check and let me know in an hour. Last 4 days i am calling him daily. He is telling the same answer.

                                    Hello,

                                    I was using Airtel Broadband with 2 MBPS, i was offered a free modem at first month ( FEB 2011)

                                    In august '11 the modem got repaired and AIrtel suggested to get it rectified with its service center, but the vendor told he can't as its 5 year old one

                                    Airtel did not respond properly and i got irritated and disconnected the connection

                                    Now after 4 months, a collection executive called me and told to pay outstanding bill( which was charged for unused connection ) and i told i will pay later.

                                    Today she was calling my friends and relatives from my old phone records and spoke like a .. Talking rubbish to my family members ..

                                    Is this the way to behave? I lost my hope with AIRTEL from this moment

                                    My decision to go back to AIRTEL is dropped. I will be happy if AIRTEL can take necessary action against the lady.

                                    Last saturday the collection lady has used my dialed numbers ( from old land line) and spoke harsh to everyone

                                    My phone numbers are confidentail informations, how can she use those without my knowledge.

                                    Is AIRTEL making such a worst outsourcing people to collect the dues..

                                      Dear Sir,

                                      I wish to place before you the following complaints against Airtel Broadband Services for your consideration and needful corrective action.

                                      1. A request was raised online for a new airtel broadband connection on the 13th of Dec, 2011. An installation fee of Rs.500/- was paid online for the same. I received a confirmation mail from Airtel with the following details:
                                      CAF no: ONBANGA00019509
                                      Transaction id:[protected]
                                      However, after 10 days airtel has not sent anyone to setup the connection. After calling airtel customer care (interaction ID: 9182484), I was informed that the application does not exist. Futhermore, I was told that I require an opportunity number in order for the application to be considered. All this after paying for the connection.

                                      2. When asking for a plan migration for an existing connection from ACE 6Gb to ACE 3 Gb, the customer care executive said that this plan does not exist for the Bangalore Circle. I previously was using the ACe 3Gb plan and before migrating had confirmed the same from the customer care executive that it would be possible to migrate back to this plan. Now they informed me that the plan does not exist for Bangalore, even though the airtel.in website clearly states that this plan is available for the Bangalore circle. This is the second time I am facing an issue with airtel concerning migrating from a more expensive plan to a cheaper plan.

                                      I request you to please resolve these issues as soon as possible.
