It has been highly unprofessional on Airtel's part when I initiated the process for closing of my Airtel broadband connection in Noida. I requested for closing of my connection through the same landline[protected] on 20th Nov'10 and request no for same is 1282809. And I was told that it will be deactivated in 24 hours. I have told these people so many times that the request for closing connection was made on 20th Nov'10 but they are always ignoring it. And after few days I got a call from Airtel side only that they will keep the account inactive for 1 month at no charges incase I want to shift it somewhere else. I said yes but then on 7th Dec'10 I told them to close it completely as I am not going to shift it. But still in my last bill I was charged for days post 21st Nov'10 also. And not just this but I got another bill in the month of Jan'11 also. So Airtel has over-charged me for around 2 months. And even after writing to them again and again they dont answer to my questions instead keep repeating that the deactivation is in process. And now they have deactivated the connection on 14Jan'11 i.e. almost 2 months after my request. This is totally absurd and unacceptable.

I always face problem with either shifting or closing of Airtel broadband. This has been consistently happening with me in my last 4 experiences. I think I should not go for Airtel broadband in future unless I know I am going to keep it forever at one place. I hope this will help some readers prevent such agony.

As usual there has been no clarification mail from Airtel till now. And as usual what I have got is that the issue is being worked on. There is some serious flaw with Airtel's mechanism of closing/shifting the connection. But this is hard to believe. The only acceptable explaination of such problems is that Airtel tries to loot as much money as possible out of people when they are in ductile state due to shifting or are not going to use Airtel anymore. This is really dirty business tactic.
What is the resolution done? I haven't got any email communication regarding this till date from Airtel. If this is resolved send me the corrected bill to my email.

    We are receiving mails on the blackberry account for the last 1 week. Someone sends an email to me, the mail gets rejected and mail delivery failure is sent to the sender.
    When contacted Airtel, they are informing that we can only forward 600 emails to blackberry account and the new mails would be rejected. My guess is that Airtel being BIG and a Market Leader cannot handle the huge data sent to airtel accounts through forwards has put a rule to block all forwards greater than 600emails.

    My advice is not to puchase blackberry as your emails would be around 10mins late from Airtel with this rule.

      Dear Sir,

      I am using Airtel dish service. I have recharged 810 Rs in 18 December 2010. Company informed me your service till valid 16 May 2011 by SMS. Air tel customer care also believed me your account till valid 16 May 2011.

      But when date[protected] I check my account then validity show 23 April 2011. I thing airtel management activate upgrade package 160 in place of Rs. 138. Company customer care said “Rs 160 package activation is correct, first customer care who is informed validity till 16 may 2011 is wrong).

      Besides of this, I have sent many requested to company help me to create web account. Because AIRTEL DTH server always show errors try again later. Airtel DTH not provides my account information on web page.

      I thing company management are doing fraud with me in white day by sel[censored]pgrading channel package and not providing web service. I thing it is case of economic robbery and it should be challenged in court.

      At least I request you refund my amount that is deducted (22 rupees) and provide validity till 16 May 2011 according first SMS information, web service and never activate other package without my written permission (without in 138 RS + cartoon network) in two days other wise I will take up necessary action as will as possible.

      I hope my matter will be viewing by concern department and give me suitable answer.

        Today (Jan 19 2011) suddenly a call came at 1:00 pm
        SUBSCRIBE TO RADIOMIRCHI AT RS.10 FOR 7 DAYS
        i just rejected the call when a song is playing

        and after 1 min A MESSAGE CAME TELLING THAT
        "THANKS FOR SUBSCRIBING RADIO MIRCHI" YOU WILL CHARGED 10 INR/ 7 DAYS

        then i called the customer care and tell them to cancel that radiomirchi subscription and recorrect my balance

        THEY DEACTIVATED THE SUBSCRIPTION BUT THEY DEDUCTED 10 INR AGAIN FROM MY MOBILE AND PUSHED MY BALANCE INTO NEGATIVE ( AND NOW I CAN'T CALL CUSTOMER CARE UNTILL I RECHARGE)

        THESE ARE THE CUNNING TRICKS OF THESE COMPANIES TO CHEAT SOME ILLETERATE PEOPLE OR BUSY PEOPLE
        WHEN I ASKED THE CUSTOMER CARE THEY ARE SAYING "sir you may pressed any button that's why it is activated " ( i just rejected the call using red button which we generally use IS IT MY FAULT)

          Hi All,

          This with reference to Account ID[protected], Mobile No. [protected].

          When I have provided with all the necessary documents that was supposed to be sent, I am not sure why somebody who claims to be from Airtel Legal Department - Mobile No. +91 [protected] ( v.[protected]@gmail.com), keeps calling and now mentions that outstanding is more than what we have paid.

          The outstanding amount paid by me is based on the letter issued by Airtel on 26/03/2009. I issued the cheque on the same day, Cheque No. 480267, Drawn on Canara Bank. This has been debited from the account 02/04/2009.

          I am sorry to say, it has been constant harassment on part of Airtel to pay outstanding dues.

          I would like you to tell the Airtel Legal Team to stop calling me with immediate effect. I have written to Ombusperson of Airtel, wrote to [protected]@airtel.in. Also wrote to Airtel's concerned officer in Bangalore, who did say he would look into it, but nothing has happened.

                Hi,

                This is Praveen Kumar from Bangalore and I have been using Airtel Broadband services. Recently on december 20th 2010 I had called the airtel customer care and asked them for a plan migration for on my airtel brodband number[protected] from 699 1mbps plan to 1399 4mbps plan. The customer executive told me that I would be migrated to the new plan on 26th December 2010 i.e., my billing cycle at Airtel. They gave me a transaction ID of the plan migration which is "10748064".

                I called back customer care in January 1st week of 2011 to know the status but the executive told me that applications are down and asked me to call back later. I again called back on 18th Jan 2011 to know the status as my net speed was slow. The executive again told me that their applications are down, this gesture annoyed me and I gave the executive good peace of my mind and told then the executive told me that my plan migration is taken on 20 Dec 2010. When asked for explanation for not being migrated the executive had no reply for that. for which I asked them to provide me their senior officials number and he gave me number of "Lalit Chabra" south Nodal officer, the number is[protected] and for my surprise i callled on this number more than 20 times are all the time this number is busy or my call is put on hold.

                Could anybody help me out to resolve why my migration is not done even on 18 Jan 2011 ,which was actually suppose to get migrated on 26 Dec 2010?
                Also, Why is Lalit Chabra's number provided which in reality I doubt anyone by that name exists and if exist why don't he pick calls?

                I need help desperately

                  I am a user of Airtel perpaid for past 1 year my number is [protected] and I had faced lots of issues but this was the worest experience ever. the agents instead of providing any solution they spoke to me rudely and without my permission put me on hold and dissconected my call. every now and then without any pirror information they activate some or the other stupid services and cut money from the main balance. this time they not only deactivated my message services without informing me but also deducted my money. I told them without my permision they activated my msg service that to without informing me the exact date that when they will be stoping this service. when asked them they behaved very rudely and dissconcted my call. I hope you understand the urgency for this msg they were so rude that i have to come here. Please do take the action as soon as possible cause i' ve lost hope with those illmannered people.

                    I got the Rs.80 recharge of airtel sms pack wherein there are 500 sms free per day on 18th Jan,2011. But whenever I am smsing the balance is being deducted from my main account. I am trying to contact the customer care be callng them but before going the call to the customer care officer the line gets disconnected.                         My airtel prepaid no. is [protected]. This is Haryana no. and I am using it in ROAMING in Hyderabad(A.P.). From last 20 days i am unable to make any call from my mob. When i call to any Haryana number it show error connection(number not in use). I tried to call Customer Care([protected]) it show error- PHONE NUMBER NOT VALID. I called airtel care([protected]) from another mobile on[protected] and they told that the problem will be solved within one week. Till now the problem is not solved. I also registered for DO NOT DISTURB service on[protected]. But still i am getting unwanted messages. Please do the needful to me and solve the problem. I shall be Very thankful.

                        Hello, I am Godson from Maharashtra. I am an airtel customer. I have been trying to call airtel customer care for a number of times but I can't get there. I have tried dialing 121 and then pressing the appropriate number for customer care representative but it says "DIAL *121#(TTOLL FREE) FROM AIRTEL TO KNOW YOUR BALANCE AND VALIDITY. THANK YOU FOR CALLING AIRTEL". When I dial 198 the same thing happens.

                        Now, I don't understand what kind of a response is this from one of the most reputed GSM service providers in India.

                        I wanted to ask about the 3g plans of airtel. And wanted to receive the settings of 3g for my nokia 7230.

                        If you have any real way to call to the customer care representative then please inform it, because I am now tired of calling 121 and 198.

                          I gave an application for Airtel IPTV service in Bangalore, on 23rd December. My application number is TBLR 197564

                          As charges for set top box, they collected a cheque of Rs 1750. The money has been taken from my account on 27th December.

                          However, even after a 10 days, I didn't get any communication from them. On calling Airtel Helpline 121 for many times, I came to know that the application has been rejected as there is no feasibility and money will be returned.

                          However, till today, money has not been refunded. If I call 121/198, the representatives, have no clue of this application. When I call the person, who came and collected the application, he answered the call first time, but after that not answering my calls.

                          This is cheating from AIrtel or mismanagement. I gave money as it is a reputed company. Now, I don't find any way to recover my money.

                            I recently bought a blackberry set 9100 with mob no [protected]. was told that Airtel was the best service provider by one of the shop owners here and as per his request i took a pre-paid connection card and an airtel net connection package for 474 on Dec 27th 2010. It was after 24 hrs that while trying to
                            access my mails did i get the message that airtel does not support Black berry 9100 and later on upon calling customer support i was told that i need to take another net package with Blackberry. I took that. I have been calling customer support for the past 2 to 3 weeks regarding this issue and was told
                            that they have given the request that my balance would be refunded and added to my present talk time even thought they said they had no option and was given a time limit of 24hrs. When i called up after a few days to see what my status is.. the story goes on.. each of the representatives says the same
                            we have no option and finally connects to the team leader and this connection from the low level to senior level would take minutes and disappointed i would sometimes hang up

                            If this net connection package does not support a particular set, it should have been informed to the customer and not make him pay for something which
                            is worthless for his handset.

                            Team of Representatives who handled my issue (Called from Cochin and i got chennai office) AIRTEL CHENNAI OFFICE STAFF Rajesh, Preethi, Priya, sunil, Sicily, Anas etc.

                            Is this the service that Bharathi Airtel provide. Fed up.. i might move on to some other service provider soon..

                            I dont know if by sending a complaint would make any change in my issue.

                            I hope some one would help me out on this.

                                Hello,

                                I applied for a Airtel broadband connection on date 12 Jan 2011, and i paid amount Rs 4000/ for the connection to an Agent who came to my house for giving the connection. He offered me a plan which is Rs.899 monthly plan and asked me to pay Rs.4000 which includes 4 months advance rental and 2 months free usage .
                                The agent provided me an acknowledgement slip which doesn't have any TBLR number. He told me that I will get a mail and a confirmation call from airtel but I didn't get any of these. When I try calling to the agent's mobile number its telling that its switched off.

                                I called airtel customer care but they asked me about the TBLR number, which unfortunately I don't have and told me that without that they will not be able to help me.
                                Now , its been one week and I am with no broadband connection and I don't know where and whom to complain about this . It seems that I have been cheated here.

                                  My name is Misbah Sayed & my airtel mobile # is[protected]. I am constantly being charged for accessing 0.facebook.com via Airtel Live as the access point.

                                  I understand that Airtel had announced that m.facebook.com will be free for 2 months and that duratiom is up; but 0.facebook.com is a text based version of facebook which is advertised as free for lifetime via Airtel Live for Airtel users.

                                  Why is airtel advertising false information on 0.facebook.com as on the top it says free access via Airtel Live!!?? I call customer care every month about this but I never get a resolution. Hell, they even refuse to give credits for as low as 5 rs or 10 rs. Its not a matter of money but its a matter of business ethics.

                                  Today was worse...I called up Airtel complaints helpline, 198 & spoke to a guy named Prashant (@3:38 am on 18/01/2011) who blatantly refused to entertain my query sayin charges valid hai..kuch nahi hoga. I asked him for the total amount of charges incurred. He gave me a break-up & I again asked him for the total...he gets back to me sayin, break-up diya hai...calculate kar lena....& just hung up on me!! This is Airtel caring for its customers. I tried calling complaints back but looks like they put a block on your number or something because the call doesn't get connected for the second time if they get an irate customer.

                                  I have lost all faith in Airtel but if this matter will be looked into, I need Airtel to bring Prashant to task for his extremely "PROFESSIONAL" behaviour & also stop giving false promises or advertising to customers. If you guys are incompetent of doing something, don't brag & publicize about it.

                                  Guess I'm expecting too much from Airtel. Trust me, if this goes on....i think i've already made my mind to port-out my number from Airtel once MNP goes live on 20th Jan 2011 even though I'd hate it coz i've been with Airtel since I was in school & i've had this number without any issues in the past.

                                  Yes, airtel customer care is totally unprofessional to say the least. They dont have manners to talk even while being talked to politely by the customer. Recently I had called them to ask for PUK code for my sim and the Customer Care lady( from Chennai) went on barging in tamil, last 8 digits of your card, and I said i dint know tamil but she wouldnt listen, finally in a commanding tone she says " Give me the last 8 digits of your code or I ll cut your call". This pathetic service is not very new but not very old also, there ve been unprofessional instances over the past 6 months. I guess I am waiting for number portability to start in Chennai as well.

                                  And 0.facebook.com is being charged for me too though I dint know it was supposed to be free.

                                  I am an Airtel customer too. And I have been experiencing the same problem with Airtel Live as Misbah Sayed ji. They claim that 0.facebook.com is of free access but still they are charging for it. When I have zero balance it keeps on working without any charges being deducted from my balance but when my balance is good enough, I am being charged for it and I end up having a zero balance. I called up at the Customer care, and here are the replies I got with different calls:
                                  1. Only m.facebook.com was of free access and that too until August 31.
                                  2. There is no such service by airtel that provides You with a free access.
                                  3. Only the Home page is free of cost to access and not the entire 0.facebook.com !
                                  My access point is set to Airtel Live, so could You please explain it to me how amazingly it works free of cost when I'm on zero balance !!
                                  I am sorry to say but Airtel is no longer providing a good service to the customers. The complaints are not being addressed to properly.

                                  My name is waseem and my number is [protected]. I have been facing problem with Airtel Mobile office from past two days. When I try to contact Airtel Technical support they put me on hold forever and they charge 50ps per call. However I managed to contact customer support instead and the rep told me they have some upgradation and will take few hours and I was able to access the net.
                                  But today I have been facing the same problem and this time I am not able to access FACEBOOK, this is the only website I browse, unfortunately I am not able to access this website. I am able to access other website. I am not sure and I don't understand why AIRTEL is blocking this website. Calling customer/technical support is hopeless, can the people in-charge fix this one?
                                  There is a screen shot attached, please check that as well.

                                  Hi I am Sampath my problem is slightly different from you guys, when i try to connect to o.facebook.com i get a messeage reading.. "Sorry, o.facebook.com is only supported by sel;ect mobile carriers and is not available from your mobile carrier. If you are contacting your mobile carrier, mention that your ip address 223.177.50.4 is not supported". i dont how this is possible, if it is avalable for rest then y not me..??

                                  I have not received any sms from airtel or any calls. I see no reason why you guys were not able to get through to me as my phone is always switched on. I have emailed you with the other details as I'm still awaiting a resolution on he same. And I wish to make myself clear by saying that apart from the resolution, the complaint has also been made against the customer care advisor, Prashant. I need to know what has been happening on that front as well.

                                  My issue has no way been resolved, Mr. Rakesh Kumar. I'm awaiting a response from Airtel & willing to co-operate with you guys as long as the issue & the complaint are looked into & dealt with.

                                  According to the facebook website 0.facebook.com should be free on Airtel but I am being charged around Rs.20 every time I use 0.facebook.com
                                  I have the same problem since dayz..em geting charged for 0.facebook.com though itz absolutely free..em a fb freak i want to use it without geting charged! hope you'll sOlve dis issue as soon as possible!

He was insisting me to take MTS but I was not agreed then he said in your area we dont have service..I dont go with MTS then after 2 weeks again he made a call & said I am sending my executive please give him all the documents & Money. I gave. Executive said within three days you will get the connection but one week over now no body is picking the phone & not get any response. still m waiting for connection.even from airtel customer care also not responding in proper way...Now i am feeling really I applied for a connection with a company.

                                      I was using the Airtel Number (+91)[protected], and I was regularly paying their bill. Today I have received a call from their side about the payment of the bill from (+91)[protected], some and Miss behaving lady. She was using a such an abusing language and she in turn called my wife and said i was cheating with her by calling other gals. This is really disappointing for me and it has impacted my personal life.
                                      She wants me to get the bill settle with 1000 Rs. and she wants me to make a payment without any delay, and then i got agree to make a payment of wrong bill just to come out of this problem but then i have asked them for the written communication through mail or a sms with full and final settlement from them. After that she has changed her colors by saying, She will not going to send any mail, and she said i will confirm after receiving 1000 Rs. and then i refused for the payment without any mail confirmation from them.
                                      And Again in turn she has started calling all my friends and colleagues by using wrong name and spoiling my image by using the wrong name of some Gal.
                                      Please do the needful as I am ready to make a payment but with some proof from them for full and final settlement with 1000 Rs.
