Dear sir,
I am a airtel user since for past 5 years. Recently I have sifted to Kamothe - Sector 35 area .(owned a flat).
Unfortunately airtel network coverage is very low which is causing frequent call drops.
I have tested other operator (Vodafone, Docomo, uninor etc) network coverage, which is full and consistent.

Is there any way you guys can resolve my problem.
The only other alternative witch is left for me is to adopt MNP and migrate to Vodafone or DOCOMO.

Please let me know what it can be done from your side?

Regards,
Vilas

AirTel — unwanted call from unknown no.

    Dear sir,
kindly tell me the detail name and add. of the user of no-[protected] ,this person disturbing me and my family.plz do me favour.
i am recieving fake calls from last 1 month from an unknown number.i am getting very much disturbed because of this.i want to block this num.

    my number - [protected](airtel)

number from which i am getting calls - [protected]
I have the same problem before. I always had callers that were irritating me. I found an article which helped me. You can check it out if you like. http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=2554140
i fully agree with the complaint. I am suffering a lot from this type of harrassment. there are calls made to my number from unknown numbers which are not included in my contact list. they simply call and ask that, why did u give missed call? i am amazed. i have checked my outgoing calls. No number was ever dialled from which they are asking me questions. I am in Goa and calls are made from eastern part o[censored]P and Punjab as per the MNC codes. Mostly they are Bharati Airtel or Airtel numbers. My mobile service provider company says that we are helpless. Police say they are helpless. Are all mobile companies hopeless? Is there any possibility that a network or computer problem related to mobile telephony generates such unwanted calls from an unknown person to another unknown person? If yes, then why shouldnt mobile companies take decision to rectify it? I am fade up and advise all people to stop receiving calls from all unknown numbers. mobile companies are greedy. they cant stand this loss. or last option remains...sue mobile companies or stop using cell phones. we were anyway living without them...more happily...
I'm receiving fake calls from past 4-5 days from no. [protected] and my no. Is [protected]
Unknown calls to my mobile. The call number is "Unknown". Can't show the number while redialling. Why the calls come to my mobile?

[protected] am recieving fake calls from last 1 month from an unknown number.i am getting very much disturbed because of this.i want to block this num.My number is [protected]
    Hi,

I had taken the Airtel number around January. After few days I am receiving a call from unknown number '[protected]', at oddly hours, 4-5AM IST specially. When i call back, no body pickups. Only one time they pickup the phone, but when i ask who is speaking nobody replies, and cut the phone.
I put the user in blocked list, and had a track of records in my log from March onwards.

To get to the problem, i call the person from another number and asked to not to call on this number, but he didnt reply and cut the phone. But still he continuously calling at odd hours. But when i call back from my number same problem. It getting irritating now. I am thinking of changing my number because of this, as i didn't know how to tackle this problem. Need help?

    Thanks,
    Tarun

Airtel — Unnecessary reduction of balance from my account

This is to inform you that I am a prepaid subscriber of Airtel.
      My No. is [protected]
I had got my mobile recharged with Rs 555 from Mukesh Communication(78B, Paddmapukur Road, Kolkata-700020) on 14th of January, 2009 around 6 or 6.30 pm.When I gave the amount to him he had carefully checked all the notes(currency).I had even got the full amount(Rs 555) creditted to my account. But Yesterday[protected] I received the call from (mukesh communication) saying that the Rs 500 note was fake.Within few minutes after the talk it was found that the amount had been debitted from my account. After which I talked to the vendor(mukesh communication) but he is not cooperating with me.I had talked to airtel customer care about this matter to which they are saying that they(airtel) cant do anything about this, its the matter between vendor and the customer. It was even told to me that the vendor has the right to roll back the amount once crediited. When I had a talk with consumer court about this whole matter and roll back system. They had given me the information that the rights of vendor to roll back the amount is totally inappropriate and they had no information about this sysem. So, they had asked me to write a letter to the airtel nodal officer about the whole matter. He said that I am at fault and nothing can be done in this regard by him.
I am having the cash memo with my mobile number written on it.I am enclosing this document with this mail
      Other contact no.Mr Danmal Bohra-[protected].
I want you to please advice me on this matter and wat should I do ahead. Please take some strict action against this whole matter

Dear Mr. Dakshina Murthy G R,
The mail I had received from you informing me that appropriate action will be taken on 08/11/2010.
Now it is more than two months after you had promised & nothing has happened & still my SMS's are bouncing , thanks to your largesse in sending the junk messages which is pissing me off every day.
Not even single soul in your company has bothered to solve the customer complaint which shows the sad state of affairs and apathy towards customers.
I think number portability is the only solution.
If who ever is responsible who has the guts to solve the problem may reply to this mail, other wise they will be only filling my mail box space with auto / standard / use less replies which does not make any difference to the customers.

ISSUE SENSITIVE / CRITICAL/ LONG PENDING.

Further to my mail dated 26.07.2010 regarding NDNC reg no. W[protected] dt.
22.05.2010 , I would like to share the following.

Even after sending mail to nodal.[protected]@airtel.in ,
        appellate.[protected]@airtel.in , care.[protected]@airtel.in , [protected]@airtel.in
        ,

till date my problem is not solved except for auto reply and people
responsible to act are content with that.

Now I would like to share that I am also a share holder your esteemed
        organization

It is ridiculous to know from your own employees (even at different Airtel
offices in Bangalore) that NDNC is the issue which they will be not be able to
help & they them selves s are the victims of junk messages & are not able to
        stop.

If the customers are flooded with junk messages, even after customers request
if telecom operator is not able to stop the same then I think I have to take up
the issue with different level may be with consumer forum, management or TRAI.

I want action towards this mail & not auto reply.

        Dear Sir,
I am having prepaid connection under mobile number[protected]
I had registered my number for NDNC ON 22.05.2010. The reference number is
        W[protected]
Even after registering for NDNC I am continue to get promotional communication,
which I had not opted for.
Even after contacting your reltion ship centre in 6th Block Rajaji Nagar,
        Bangalore nothing has changed.
Request you to please look into the matter & do the needful.
Also at this juncture I would like to brring to your kind attention that
service in 6th Block Rajaji nagar relation ship centre is very poor.
To respond to customer they take hell a lot of time & I confirm that it is not
a stray incident, especially in the pre paid counter people have to wait
        for long .
Some time the reasons cited will be silly, like to talk to custermer care in
hot line they say phone battery is down or they will not feel the persons
presence in the conunter.( in one instance I waited for more than 30 minutes to
        get an audience)
At least as a custermer we have a right to be heard in the first place, man

Airtel — excess charges on 1 minute call

i am charged 1 rupees for call time of 59 seconds but as it ends on 1.00 minutes or say 60 seconds my pre paid is debited by 2 rupees. i think international norms of 1 minutes=60 seconds are not adheard by bharti airtel and their own laws are made by them as their customer care executives say that i[censored] count from zero 59 seconds make 1 minutes. this reason is beyond imagination for a literate person.i think crores of rupees are made by the said company by robbing 1 rupee for 1 second from their crores of silent customers who have not either complained or did not observed this technical roberry by bharti airtel.
          Dear Sir.
I have a PCO/STD at shop. I recharge it with minimum Rs.2500/- but I have seen that call charge for local is more than Rs.1/- and STD charges also is more than Rs.1/-. Public demand is Local/STD charges must be Rs.1/-. I want to convert my telephone no. into Rs.1/- plan for both. If any scheme is in operation kindly convert my no. Rs. 1/ plan. Dear Vineet Bhatia,

Ref: Email dated 22/01/2011, expressed concern aregarding Mobile Number Portability for your mobile number [protected].

Thank you for your email to airtel and the opportunity to assist you.

We request you to recharge your account and send the message as per the format given below

As per TRAI guidelines, to avail the MNP facility a customer needs to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Customer should be present on existing service provider network for at least 90 days.

There should not be any complaint/case pending in court of law with regards to the number one wants to port out.

Request to port out the number should be for the same service area as inter circle mobile number portability is not available.

The number should not be under contractual obligation with Airtel e.g. company owned company paid accounts.

There should not be any ownership transfer request in process for said number.

For your reference, the MNP procedure is mentioned below:

Generate Unique Porting code (UPC) by Sending PORT < Space> and your and send it to 1900. E.g. PORT 9810XXXXXX. Charges of SMS are applicable as per tariff plan opted by you. You will receive an auto revert message from 1901 giving an 8 digit alpha numeric unique porting code along with an expiry date.

Once UPC obtained, you have to approach the new service provider of your choice and obtain CAF (Customer Application Form) and porting form.

Submit the duly filled CAF and porting form along with requisite documents (Photo Id Proof, Residence proof, 2 photos, last bill copy in case of postpaid number) to the chosen service provider.

Rs.19 fees (As defined by TRAI) need to be paid while submitting documents.

Please note the above exercise is to be completed before the expiry date of mentioned along with the UPC.

Obtain new SIM card from the new service provider.

New service provider will take 7 days to process your Port-In request. (Sunday is non working day). During this process, you will be able to use your mobile phone as usual.

New service provider will keep updating you via SMS on the progress made and intimate the date and time of porting on your mobile phone. Replace the old SIM with the new SIM provided after the specified date and time. There will be a black out for only 2 hours and the same will be communicated to you through SMS.

We further like to inform you that once you have chosen to move -out you all current benefits of rate plan applicable on your number will be withdrawn. Since SIM Card will be changed, you will be required to move contacts to new SIM card. Also after port out in case you wish to come back then as per process you cannot shift the operator before 90 Days.

Please note that customer can withdraw the porting request within 24 hours of applying. Airtel as an organization believes in providing customer satisfaction. We earnestly hope that you will reconsider your decision and provide us with an opportunity to serve you again.

airtel prepaid Delhi — rude behaviour from customer care executive.

Recently airtel has launced a one year validity tariff of rs 202.I on friday called to customer care executive named ARYAN to know about this tariff. But when i started talking to him i found that instead of helping me he askd me to read the sms abt 202 tariff plan. But i have not recieved any sms about that tariff.I got to know about tht tariff by dailing *121*2#.
Actually he ordered me to read that sms.He even had no knowledge about that tariff. Then i said, '' why are you talking nonsensely''.Suddenly he started scolding me with high pitch voice.I was socked.I never expect this thing from a customer care executive.Even he refused to making me talk with his team leader.
            Help me.

We took a DTH TV connection from Airtel DTH and the customer ID is [protected] in the name of Vivek Gautam / Charu Sharma. This connection stopped receiving signals nearly a week back. There is NO response from the customer care despite numerous phone calls and assurances, one stupid technician visited and started asking for torch, wire etc and then never returned. People over phone haviong been bluffing and as a result we are just waiting at home, wasting the weekend without TV,,waiting for the repair team.

The worst part is that the customer care no 12150 does not have any way to get in touch with the officials and has no option for complaints and only speaks about account balance and additional top up charges for viewing cricket etc. This is ridiculous and needs to be taken up at the highest level as we have wasted our time effort emotions and money for such a useless service which needs to be deplored in the strongest words.

Please see if you can do something.

                Regards,

                DVR Machine not working/malfunctioning
I bought an Airtel DTH DVR box and connection about a week back (Jan 10th 2011) from a local retailer in Amar Colony Market. The installation and everything was okay. The Airtel guy charged about Rs 700 stating that he needed extra cable. I didnt complain. However, the horror story started right from day 1. The DVR STB is so slow that its practically unusable. I changed the batteries on my remote since the call center guy advised me to do so. But that didnt help. Couple of guys came to try and trouble shoot from Airtel but couldnt do anything. They gave up finally saying that the STB is slow since it has a hard disk and all sort of technical jargon. Even the technician tried navigating the channels using the remote but everytime he pressed "OK" to select a channel, the box took him to the Games menu.

I am surprised that no one else has any complaints about the slowness/glaring problems of the device and that makes me think that I was fleeced by Airtel who gave me a malfunctioning, broken worthless STB and now refuses to replace it even though its just been a week since I purchased it. I went back to the retailer to return the box and get my money back, but they completely washed their hands off. No help from there either.

The situation is so unbearable that many times I'm just tempted to take my remote and throw it at the television. I am as frustrated as frustrated can be. I want Airtel to take some responsibility and either 1. say that their DVR STBs are not up to any standard o[censored]sage or 2. Replace the box and fix the problem.

If the quality of the STB is like I described above, then I'm afraid I do not want the product and want my money back.

My customer a/c Id is [protected].

PS: I hope others reading this review make an informed decision and stick with one of the other companies that provide Digital TV service and DVRs.

I completely agree w/ whatever has been said above about Airtel DVR STBs. They are the worst STBs I have ever used. I am switching over to Tata very soon. What a waste of money Airtel is. Their digital tv service sucks as bad as their mobile network. Shame on Airtel.

In my case i had to shift my house to a new locality and so requested airtel broadband team to shift my connection to new location and also disconnect the connection until i get settled in new locality. The request was raised on sep18 2010 and i shifted my house. Airtel people took nearly 1 month to confirm that there was no line at my new locality so they have to close the request. The request was finaly closed on Oct 30. Everything went on well and suddenly on Jan 20 and say that i had not paid the OCT 2010 bill and they have served me a legal notice. The fact of the matter is i did not get any legal notice at my new address even though i had update their database with my new address. The lady from Airtel legal calls me on Jan 20 2011 evening 6:10 pm and tells me that i have been served notice and i had to attend a hearing in local adalath next day which is Jan 21 at 11 AM. There was a heated discussion between me and the airtel legal department whether there was any usage of internet in month of oct. Even after repetedly saying that i have not used the internet the legal department did not agree on me. they spoke in such a way that i was a cheat and i had to pay the bill. Always she(legal dept) had to say is that they have record of me using internet usage in OCT. I did not have any option then attending the next day hearing and proving my point. Also i had raised a complaint to airtel to know whether there was any internet usage on my name in OCT 2010. That night at home was nightmare Everyone trying to convince each other about the legal notice..

As i had a important meeting to attend on jan 21 i had no option then send my father( a retired defence ex-service man) with all the proofs i had to prove my case. My father went to lok adalath at 11 AM and waited for 4 hours, and finally he was told that they did not receive any notice on my name. And at the same evening i get a call from airtel saying that they verified the records once again and found that i had not used the internet in Oct.

I had great respect for AIRTEL for their services, but after this incident i have decided i will never use their service.

Please register a complaint for summoning me without serving any legal notice and harasing on phone.

                        Hi

I want to switch to MTNL because of its Attractive Plans and Free MNP service but AIRTEL IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO DO SO.
I have tried to send SMS on 1900 (Message Details: PORT [protected])
                        and
I have also tried to send SMS on 1900 (Message Details: PORT [protected])
to know my 8 digit UPC (Unique Port Code) code but the message is not reaching to it's destination.
I have tried the same procedure for 8-10 times but of no use.I always got the message that''MESSAGE NOT SEND''
I HAVE COMPLAINED THE SAME TO MINI STORE OF AIRTEL SECTOR 7 AND CUSTOMER CARE .
As per the Newspaper name mentioned above we need to zero our balance as the same will be lapse after swiching to other subscriber.NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT I AM NOT ABLE TO GET UPC CODE due to zero balance.
                        K
KINDLY REFER TO THE NEWSPAPER MENTIONED ABOVE AND DEAL ACCORDINGLY .
I AM COMPLETELY FED UP WITH AIRTEL SERVICES AND WANT TO SURRENDER BOTH OF MY AIRTEL NUMBERS BUT YOU PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO SWICH TO OTTHERS AS PER M.N.P.

As per the Newspaper ''Navbharat Times ''dated 21/1/2011 i tried switching procedure but Airtel is not allowing me to do so.

                        Kindly Expidite.

They wont solve your problem either...its waste of time.

I have the same problem, the customer care agent puts your all on Permanent hold when you ask about MNP.

I have called 198 & told about this problem 6 to 8 times i received the airtel customer care request nos:

                        1. CUNRM[protected]
                        2. CUNRM[protected]

But no body is ready to respond to this problem..

On the other hand i tried same SMS from Reliance GSM & instantly Received UPC Code.

Airtel guys by doing this you are spoiling you name & getting worst than Reliance...WAKE UP...!!!

Dont undersatnd Why is AIRTEL getting so insecure about this customers?...

                        Regards

                        Hi,

I'm switching from Airtel to Idea. I have received 8 digit unique code and completed all formalities of submitting form on 24th of January 2011. Now its almost 11 days but porting to Idea is not done.

Does anybody know how much day it takes to switch network?
My existing airtel number is [protected].

                        Thanks
                        Ganesh D
It will take not more than 7 days according to TRAI regulations. TRAI can take disciplinary action against the service provider if the procedure takes more than 7 days

                          Hi,
It has been a nightmare to get a resolution from Airtel. I have been a customer of Airtel (Broadband Service) for the past 3 years. I happened to notice a new and a better plan and wanted to switch onto the new plan. I have received numerous phone calls telling me that the bill is correct but I have been disputing it since the policy was never made clear to me and now I am being asked to pay the bill for the mistake/crime I have not done. It has been a month and I have not received a resolution.
I am not in agreement with the current bill amount (bill number[protected] and I need the adjustment in this bill. I had migrated on to Rs. 799 plan from November 30th 2010. With this migration I should have the download limit of 4983 MB (546 MB for 1st 4 days and 4437 MB for next 26 days). For an excess download of 284 MB I should be paying Rs 57 (284xRs0.20). My bill should have been -> Rental - Rs. 796.07+ Rs 57 + Tax = Rs. 941. I don't know how this huge bill has been calculated and nobody made me aware of such calculations.
After filing the complaint I had received a call from Rahul (Airtel representative) explaining me the bill as per Airtels Pro-ration policy (which is neither explained anywhere nor told), however, I kept telling him that the same explanation is not given anywhere and nobody has ever told me the same. He informed me that such things are not explained over the phone since it will take 1 hr 30 minutes for the Airtel representative to explain this to the customer and 15 pages on the bill. I told him that it is the companys responsibility to inform the customer about the pro-ration of bills (with working example). The customer should be made aware so that he can plan the switch to another tariff plan accordingly and not run into huge bills with no customers fault. Also, I did pay Rs. 2288 last month since I knew that was due to excessive usage. If I would have known that pro-ration process/calculation I would not have switched on to another plan.
I had also received a phone call from telephone number[protected] offering Rs. 500 discount as goodwill gesture. Please be informed that I shall not be able to pay more than Rs. 1200 (including tax) for the mistake I have not done.

Customer Care people for Airtel have no knowledge about their own schemes. They tell any stupid scheme though they r not sure about it. When you ask them refund they say "I will transfer your call to manager" and put it on hold and do not revert back again. Very disappointing service from Airtel. I, myself suffered for it many times. My friends also complain about it. Most of the times you get charged for the call but do not even receive the call. Airtel act like they just want to grab money whatsoever.

                                Dear Amit,
I think u didn't read d entire case as u r talking for which handset dat is not mine.
The handset u r offering n talking about dat handset is not mine coz ma handset was in a very good condition by its physical n software wise condition, I was jus having issuer wid its track ball, speaker problem n was having restarting problem once in a blue moon only. I don think that u r talking about my handset.
Boss we are standing on same point from where we were started n I wil not accept dis handset which u r offering me as it is not mine in any condition.
It has been changed by ur support team n it shud not b done as a customer leave their so valuable handsets for repair on ur good faith n name only n ur team members r taking advantage of this.
But I will fight for this injustice wid a consumer.

                                Thanks,

I purchased a blackberry 9000 handset in April 2010. I had some issues in it so i submit it in your blackberry service support at Sahara Mall on 24th December 2010 vide Job Card no. S.No. SUB - 1717. Your executives told me that handset will receive me after repair in 10 to 15 days. after 12 or 13 days they called me that liquid found in your handset so we can not repair it and come n collect ur handset.
when i reached to collect ma handset from ur support team i found that the handset which they were returning me that was not mine, founded handset was in very bad condition and i was fully embarrassed to see ma handset because ma handset was in very good n in mint condition, and tell me if such handset was not mine den where is the question of liquid. They have changed ma handset. i need ma handset back in perfect condition.

So plz advise me what should i do in such circumstances, You are requested to plz inter vein in this matter n sort it out such matter as soon as possible.

I am having prepaid connection in the name of Ashok Gupta having connection no. [protected] and I have recharged the phone with talk time of Rs 400/- on 15th June 2008.

Today I have checked the balance and Rs 100/- has been deducted without any intimation to me.

Earlier also similar instances had happened and i reported the matter to the company and they have told that some Value added services has been activated . I have strongly opposed to this act without any confirmation from my side and requested the company to deactivate the same but behaviour of the company is not positive till now.

Request you to kindly help me to come over such harrassment from the company and unilaterlly move of charging value added services
My present contact number is [protected].
                                    Still waiting to be resolved.
