My Airtel pre-paid mobile number is +91-[protected]. For the last four months Airtel is activating 'Airtel Friend's Chat' on my connection automatically. It is regularly done on the 9th of every month. On 7th October 2010 I called the customer care and talked directly to the customer care executive after much deliberation. He said that the service is deactivated on my request, while I was talking to him. But, on 9th, I received the message that 'Airtel Friend's Chat' has again been activated with a monthly deduction of Rs. 30. Yesterday, that is on 23.10.2010 I again called the customer care and a lady named Priti (customaer care execuitive) confirmed that the service is de-activated on my request on the spot and sent me a confirmation msg from Airtel service. I was quite confirmed then that the service has been deactivated, but I received msgs from airtel friends chat again after 1 hour and which are a kind of personally sent indecent messages. I contacted the customer care ONCE AGAIN!! A customer care executive confirmed that the service has been de-activated and I WOULD NOT RECEIVE ANY MESSAGES HENCEFORTH. Yet again I received msg from friend's chat at night.

Now my questions are,

1. With whose permission did the airtel service activated a value added service to my connection for which they are deducting Rs.30 per month?

2. Apart from the money they are deducting who will take the responsibility of the harassment that I am facing everyday and the continuous spamming of my msg inbox everyday and night?

3. WHY THEY ARE NOT DE-ACTIVATING THE SERVICE AFTER SO MANY TIMES OF MY REQUEST?

I am looking forward for a quick redressal of this matter.

    This is Tanmoy Sanyal. My mother Dalia Sanyal has been using an airtel connection since 2006 bearing number [protected]. She was asked to resubmit the documents. Her SIM has been deactivated from yesterday even though the documents were submitted 4 days earlier. Now whenever I am calling the customer care, the call is being diverting to a computerised responding system which is asking me to confirm the documents by pressing 1. After doing so the system tells that the sim will be activated within 2 hours, but this 2 hours has not yet come in 2 days. Now the situation has become quite an insulting and harrassing one. I am fed up with this Please help me out.

        On 10th of September 2010, i online purchase a new dth connection for which i bymistakely made the payment 4 times (Rs 1590/- each) from my credit card due to server problem.
        After a several follow up and reminder i have not got my refund till date.
        i might have spoken to approx 30 customer executives and around 5 floor supervisors but all in vain. i have also mailed my credit card statement 4 times to prove the payment, but still failed to get my own money back.
        In this one and half month i have gone through hell to make every executive and supervisors understand about my refund problem but i dont know why they are unable to refund my payment. According to them they have received only one payment of Rs 1750/-.
        This has really made me feel that the service as well as the employee both are dangerous and may make a customer mad.

        While making my payment of landline phone no [protected] on line through my saving account with icici bank a payment of Rs. One lac was made. On 16.09.2013.in fact this payment was for my credit card.i immidiately contacted them for refund which they are avoiding for one reason or the other.till date no refund has been released by them and instead they are demanding unnecesary documents.mean while i have asked them to discontinue the services as i want to square up with this kind of cheat company.

          I am following with airtel from March 2010, till now there is no solution for this. very bad response.
          The channel is free on air but still there are not give the customer a solution
          Not only Airtel, even other DTH service providers are doing the same. They do not want this channel to be broadcasted, I don't know why...

            Dear Sir,
            I received a service message on 21/10/2010 which did not had any details price or anything I simply clicked it I suddenly got message from airtel that rs 99 has been deducted from my airtel prepaid account for downloading BlurRacing from airtel. I am a subsciber of airtel free internet of 100 mb per month. This deduction that too from a fraud service message is atrocious and I am considering to discontinue airtel prepaid connection after being a subscriber for 3.5 years, if my problem is not resolved soon.

              This is Prawin Kumar Prabhakar from CUSAT ,kerala. My mobile number is [protected].On 19/10/2010 at 9:03:55 pm I got a message from airtel that I have been charged Rs 20 for subscribing airtel radio for 20 mins valid for 20 days.My account has been reduced to Rs -8 .But I have never subscribed it. As well as I got a message of recharge with 39 and get 39 talktime.No limit on talktime validity Extra Rs 5.7 credit in 48 hrs.No limit on recharges.I recharged with 39 but did not get the extra credit.Due to insufficient balance and busyness in exam, I did not call to customer care on that day (I had no idea about 198 ).I called on 22/10/10 in evening on 121 number.I told the complain but he told let me see the detail.After some time he told that he can not solve this problem .so he is transferring this call to the senior.I was online for about 18 minute.Nobody has received the call.I disconnected the call .I have been charged about Rs 3 .Again I made a call on 121.One lady received the call.I told her my problem.She spent about 16 minute but did not solve the problem.She was not accepting that this is a fault of airtel.She was telling that you have subscribed it.When I asked about complain regarding recharging of 39.She was not able to solve the anyone problem and she was rigid that I am telling lie.After sometime my friend told me about toll free no. 198.I called on this number.A guy received the call.He was telling the same thing that I have subscribed Airtel radio.When I told about not getting extra credit on recharge of 39,he told that there is no such plan in airtel.Even he was not accepting that airtel has sent message of recharge of 39.while I got not a single message,more than 10 messages of 39 by AL-Airtel. I am writing here one of the message that I received on 21 and 22 oct.

              " Recharge with Rs 39 & get Rs39 talktime. No limit on talktime validity !EXTRA talktime Rs 5.7 credit in 48 hrs.No limit on recharges.Call 121312 for dtls. "

                Mera Set top box kam kar nahi raha hai, isliye main Dhanbad Centre ke service centre call [protected] par 22.10.2010 ko 10.30 a.m. par call kiya, service centre ne reply diya ki 2-3 hour me aap ke yaha Tecnician jayega aur aap ka problem solve kar dega.Jab 3.00 p.m tak tecnician nahi aaya tab mai again 3.30 me call kiya, tab reply mila ki 1/2 hour me jayega, lekin uske bad 10 times call kar chuka hu lekin 8.00 pm tak koi nahi aaya. isliye maine decide kar liya hai ki mai Airtel DTH ka Connection katwa lunga. yaha ka service below average se bhi niche hai.

                  Airtel is forcing me to replace my cordless Instrument with CLI model instead of changing or repair.
                  when i mailed to their care.[protected]@airtel.in. i got the reply that the instrument is out of warranty.
                  when airtel receives the 'Security' of the instrument, not the 'Sale Value' initially at the time of installation besides other charges, then how could an instrument be out of warranty.
                  their local executives are informing off the record that the company has given the contract to ALCATEL instead of previous BETEL company, therefore the policies have changed and the user have no other option but to pay for the new instrument.
                  how could an end user support their this Democratic kind of 'DADAGIRI'

                    Sir,

                    I'm a airtel subscriber from last three year " Mobile Number - [protected]". This number is in my Cousin brothers name " Mr. Bhupesh Garg" now due to my company account related issue I want to get it transferd into my name....but these guys are not transferring the number in my name.

                    I'm in a situation where I can't even stop this connection nor I can use this connection.

                    They say that transfer can only happen in case of blood relationship.
                    I'm saying you tell me the document ...I'll give it to you...in fact the email id mentioned on there account is also [protected]@gmail.com and even all the bill payments are done from my account since starting " Abhay Jindal".

                    I have asked them to give me the goverment related document which says that transfer cannot happen unless there is a blood relationship...but they are not ready to give it to me.

                    NOw I'm facing huge problem because of this...no body is helping me out.

                    Please help me out.

                      I am Romit Garg. I have a broadband connection with Airtel and Number is[protected]. It is in the name of Rajiv Tyagi email id - [protected]@gmail.com.

                      We are facing internet problem from last few weeks. We are continuously making calls to Airtel Helpline but the problem has not been resolved yet.

                      First time on Oct 7/2010 we looged a ticket[protected] and it has been resolved only for four hours only after that I reopened the call again but your guys without resolving the issue enter the status to close.

                      We again logged a complaint on 13/10/2010 ticket no. is 38739632 hadn't been resolved again but again they put status to close saying that was a mass problem but nothing resolved on our end.

                      Again on 19/10/2010 we logged a complaint with ticket no. 38937138 they again close this issue saying mass problem.

                      Can you tell me that without confirmation how can they close the call. If this was a mass problem. they should confirm about the status and then close the call.

                      From 2 or more weeks we are sitting ideal because of internet. We selected AIRTEL because its a brand and brand has some values for the customers. I am really frustrated because of this kind of service.

                      Some Alcatel person visited to our venue to change the wire system. Despite of doing the work they just pulled internet wire out and didn't fix them before going.

                      If you can tell me that if a person having all the work on internet then how would he be able to perform that task.
                      I will not pay a single peny to you people and definitely go for some legal action.

                      I would like to inform you that I arki pajuh of Ladrymbai jaintia hills meghalya hv a complaint which is not yet solve for the past 2years .I was a distributor of pco of your company .I had some pco cards which were not activated and went seen for replacement i had not recieve for the past two years n not as well all 70 pco handset is not workin, wen i complaint the sales department no one is bothered .So sir i request u to plz solve my problem.
                      As per recent laws i applied & received the code of portability from airtel to bsnl port no AP372631. its my own decision your company harassed me in few days. i also complaint in TRY GOVT OF INDIA. I WILL TAKE THE STRICT ACTION AGAINST YOUR COMPANY. MY MOBILE NO IS [protected].
                      on 23 april at 3:37pm, i receive call from airtel call centre and tell me some offers.without taking consent from me, they activated service of hellotune for 365 days and charged two hundred rupees. such type of cheating with consumer shows that a renouned company airtel can go any level for its own profit.You are calling a person suddenly and without telling clearly, you activating and taking proper consent, you are activating services.I do'nt think that airtel is in that bad condition.please solve my problem and refund my money.

                        Hi everyone,
                        I live in Krishna Nagar, east delhi.

                        I had a strange encounter today with a local airtel recharge shopkeeper. He was quite old (older than 60 for sure) and refused to recharge my mobile if the recharge sum was less than Rs.50. I wanted a Rs.34 (SMS pack by airtel) which many college goers like me opt for. When I insisted, telling him that being an Airtel representative for me (he had an airtel red white and black banner on his shop), he was committed to get me a recharge whatever may the value be, he burst up abusing and started to say that "Behenc**d I am your grandfather's age and you cant tell me to do something that i do not want to" and later said that "go away from here or i will slap you". Well I smiled at it because he couldn't actually have done that to me....he could barely run as fast as me :), but this was very rude.
                        He actually swore at me and believe me, I did not insist too hard so as to offend him. I asked him "uncle why can't you do it if you are an airtel representative"

                        I don't know how to get these people in control because some day they just might start charging extra premium for recharges....don't know when this shall happen ;)....but from present experience it is very likely for that man to do that.

                        Please help how to tackle such situations because if I call police then he might use his old age and helplessness as a trick to change the tables at the point. Moreover police wont even write an FIR nor would they accompany me to the shop where it happened.

                        Please help me to stop this overcharging and inconvenience to everybody who live here.

                          I got a free Airtel DTH connection when I bought a Samsung TV, and the connection was recharged with three months subscription free. Initially while registering for installation Airtel wrongly created two connections in my name and there started my first problem. (I was unaware of that).

                          After using the service for one- one and a half months, I was unsatisfied with their packages and service (their customer service is worst of all world). I asked for disconnection of the service and they promptly disconnected the service and took their box and dish.

                          I had forgotten them untill April 2010, when suddenly I started to get calls and messages from Airtel DTH saying that my account is negative, and needs recharge. All calls were automated and none of them could listen back.

                          I started complaining to Airtel DTH through 12150 several times and they all said that I had two connections and one of them was disconnected and the other one needs recharge. (Which other one)?

                          Its October 2010 and still I am getting atleast 4-5 calls daily and messages reminding me to recharge of the ghost connection. Seriously I dont think this process is going to end.

                          If Airtel DTH was such a serious venture why are they not listening to their customers. All and everyone I talked to was not happy with their service, and quality of service. They just advertise and bring in scapegoats.

                          I will never recomend any friend/relative to buy any of Airtel DTH service.

                          TATA sky are also worst.Before connection they will call you 10 times.and they will commit to connect with in 48 hours.once they got the money, nobody will care for connection.They will not receive the phone and simply they will delay.they are the worst people in india.They are charging more.service is also worse.I dont know about other places.But this is my experience in bangalore.

                            Hi,
                            I requested for shifting of my Airtel DTH connection from HSR Layout to Brookefields on 13th October, 2010. But even as of now, I have not got any response from the Airtel people .Whenever I raise a complaint, I get the message that the complaint is resolved , but no one has come to my place and shifted my connection. This is the worst service I have seen in my whole life and I am getting rude answers whenever I talk to the engineer in charge. Till now I have opened 4 complaints about this, but to no effect. I am planning to cancel my connection and get a TATA sky plan which I think is better customer care.

                              I applied for a Airtel Broadband connection on 10 Sep 2010,Salesperson from Airtel took the check no 069673 HDFC Bank Ltd in favor of "BHARTI AIRTEL LTD" date:15 Sep 2010 Amount :5460.00 and promised that the connection will happen in next 2 days with the number of fixed landline as[protected], but latter after many follow-ups I came to know that airtel is not having bandwidth to provide a connection at the mentioned address. This came up as a surprise for me as normally any Internet service provider do the feasibility study of the area before sending a salesperson.
                              Since then I have been following up with the sales guy over phone, logged a complaint at Airtel customer care number and through mail to wecare.[protected]@airtel.in for the refund of my amount but its very very frustrating that no one gives a positive replay and till date I have not received my check.

                              I am tired of calling the customer care number and each time I get different reply and a new service request number.

                              Sales Person: Dharmendra:[protected]/Prafull:[protected] I even spoke to there boss Sujit Talwar - [protected] but it’s all in vain.


                              I am so much frustrated that I will file a claim of 10 times the amount with consumer forum. This is a shameless act from a Big company like Airtel.

                                I am deepak sharma I have using a Airtel No.[protected] for 3 years. But suddenlay one day automatically disconnect my no.[protected]. And next day i visit nearast outlet in sec - 3 airtel showroom in 'AHUJA & CO ' Dated 11..9.2010. He alloet me a new sim and sim no.[protected] and he say to me it sim activet in 5 to 7 day but not activet this sim. After ten days i went to meet in showroom Mr. vijay he says to me dated 21.09.2010 it's underprosses it's activet two to five days. but not active my sim. Next seven days after i meet Mr. vijay say to me it underprosses but this dated 22.10.2010 not activet my no. [protected]. I am waitting your fedback

                                  i am Sripathi, i recently bought Airtel DTH HD connection along with my TV. I called airtel customer care and scheduled for the installation of the box. He said an engineer will come from airtel the very next day around 1 PM ( i was given customer id as [protected]). But the engineer didn't turn up.

                                  The next day i called them again, they said that they are extremely sorry about what happened and would schedule the installation the next day but this time he didn't mention the time. Same story, nobody came for installation.

                                  the next day i called then again and sang the same story and heard the same story.
                                  this continued for the next 2 days. Again today i called them and i asked to cancel all my request and refund the money back. But still they are singing the same story that a person would come tomorrow and do the installation.

                                  I do not understand what the hell airtel is doing. they are giving promises simply eventhough they knew that it could not be possible to do the installation on the promised day.

                                  Me like customers are trapped with Airtel since they are not having any record of refunding the money if the job is not done on time and there is no way for them to keep the promise.

                                  is there any way to address them legally? I would like to lodge a complaint against Airtel on behalf of customers like me.

He said an engineer will come from airtel the within next 24 hrs . ( i was given customer id as [protected]). But the engineer didn't turn up.

                                  i did expect your comments here. I actually wanted to know whether just for giving answer to the customer you comments are being here?

                                  anyway my issue got addressed day before yesterday around 7 PM. Yes, the dish and STB is installed.But the new issue is now most of the channels are not coming continuosly(displays a blank screen in every minute) and entire regional pack is not coming after 12 hrs from installation.

                                  After installation we checked few channels for few seconds and everything was fine. but when we actually tried to see watch channels continuously this problem occurs.

                                  I do not understand the problem and the service from Airtel. I spoke to customer care officer and he said that the issue would be solved before 4.30PM today. so far the issue is not been addressed. i afraid this will become the same case as the installation and if so another 1 week of our entertainment is gone for us.
                                  i am hoping for the best.

                                    Sorry to inform you that i am suscribing a Airtel pre Paid connection from last few years. on 20.10.2010 I have received one messages from
                                    AK-Airtel " :Ur Airtel Service will STOP Today if we don't
                                    receive ur proofof Address & Identity, Photo & Form. Submit & get Rs 60 free talk time". I am not able to understand what is going on on enquiry to your
                                    customer care the same response i have got. While confirming my details again in
                                    front of your representative of Customer Care. As per their version it is under regulation of TRAI.

                                    At the time of getting the connection i have given all my documents to Airtel, now after so many years why should again i have to submit all the documents & Photographs again. If so, you should issue a official letter for the same addressing me. On the basis of a sms & threatning of Discontinuation of my connection with other dispute it is not possible to submit all the documents within one day. Is the same correct ?


                                    I am ready to submit my details but on the threatning by Airtel i am not submit the documents. Please note today is 21 of october '2010 & today they stop call and msg send servicedue to this. My all the business hampered due to this .

I am receiving an sms threatening by disconnecting my service as the documents produced by me where incorrect if so what did you did in the past 3 years. As they said, they disconnected my service for 3 days and activated it suddenly but I am getting this sms daily whats wrong with my documents.

                                    Hi,
                                    I have recently brought an Airtel prepaid connection from a retailer in Bengaluru and I have submitted both ID and address proof to the retailer. On 25-Oct-2010 i got a message stating that they were unable to verify the details through my number and hece as oer the govt of India directive services on my number will be restricted. Today 27-Oct-2010 morning onwards, i dont have signal in my mobile and unable to make or receive calls. While talking to the customer care through my friend's number, i get two different informations from 2 customer care representatives. One says that my number is deactivated and if i submit the documents to the nearby Airtel office, within next 3 days, service will be activated. The other serior representative says that my number has been deleted from the database and I can no longer use this number even if i submit the documents. I am really confused on why the lower level representatives and their immediate supervisor are giving entirely contradicting statements to the customer.
                                    Really get annoyed by this service. Because thery could have sent me a mail informing the details. Else they could have me called me more than once even if had missed the first call.
                                    Can someone help me in fixing this issue and continue to use same number?

                                      I am having a prepaid mobile connection [protected] in my name for the last 10 years approx, for which I had submitted complete set of papers at the time of commencement. Later on, about two years ago, I again got a reminder to submit similar set of papers as per govt.directives, which I submitted again. But for the last few days, I am getting sms at frequent intervals to submitt all the papers once again, I don't know if it is some kind of joke the Airtel is playing with me. Despite submitting the required set of papers twice, they seem to be unaware of the situation, probably due to inefficiency or proper coordination of their staff n for which I can not be held responsible. I tried to convince them over phone but there also people handling those deppts appear to be totally ignorent of our problems n sing their tune only. I have a landline no.41401242 from the same service provider, hence, I am well n already Identified so why such sms n calls from airtel????

                                      Airtel — Submission of papers

                                      I am having Airtel number [protected] , [protected] since 7 years . i have submitted my documents 3 - 4 times already. why i am being harassed by calls and sms to submit the papers again and again. It is not my fault why dont you guys keep electronic record . I am also working in telecom company and there is nothing like that. [protected] was converted from postpaid which is only issued after proper verification so even after your executives visit how can doubt my identity .

                                        Hello Sir,

                                        I have long complain and for it I have already shown my patience.
                                        In short story is around 6 month back I registered a problem about modem not working and they promise for solution with in 24 hrs. After that I complained around 30-40 times. But they never care for that. In last I stopped paying my bill and they disconnected my connection but still generating my bills. Now one day their candidate came to home and the Manager told us on ph to pay bill after some discount and with the promise of getting previous problem resolved. That discount is basicaaly when we are not getting service because of modem issue.

                                        We given them the check and the connection started after 1 week and problem also resolved In lieu of that they given us written commitment. Even we paid the bill of last month when connection was disconnected. Now after 1 month they again disconnected my connection and asking to pay that discounted money and not considering any written prrof even. The connection is again not working from last 20 days and I am sure the bill meter will be running.

                                        They are saying "koi phayda nahi hai paise de do connection chal jayega varna naya connection kahi se loge to bhi itna paisa to lag hi jayega". Now its not a matter of money its about promise and customer satisfaction.

                                        You tell what we should do and why I believe to those call center person whose promise never done. What if they ask any money amount and say this is your unbill amount.

                                        Please do me favour if you can.
