Hi my name is Vivek Verma and I used to hold one Airtel broadband connection (Ph #[protected] and Acc. #[protected] till April 2010, on 14th April 2010 I registered a request for transfer of my broadband connection to my new address (request no. 132265) and was told that some one will get in touch with me and issue will be solved in 3 days of time (to be noted I shifted my place on 15th of April 2010). After waiting for 3-4 days I called up again and customer care told me there is no update and assured me some one will call back regarding the same. One gentle man called me up and asked where connection needs to be transferred and again assured it will be done in 3 days time. After one week time when nothing happened I called up customer care and launched a complaint (no.[protected] on 23rd of April 2010 for which I received a call and was told that we are trying to get the things fixed since there is a problem in the connection box (he used some technical for that I guess DP distribution point) and will resolve it and inform me back.
Again after no news from them I launched another complaint on 29th April 2010 (no.[protected] and wrote a stinker email to all the nodal centre of Karnataka after which I received the reply that in your area digging is not allowed so we cannot provide you the connection and I asked them to cancel the connection.
After two months I received a call from Airtel call centre asking the balance to be paid (I don’t remember the amount), I asked them get me the details how bill is pending since I have alredy clear all the bills. She never reverted but again next month as her regular follow up she called me and I asked the same thing but again no replies.
Today I got a call from some Rajveer Singh stating that there is a case filed against my name and need to contact Sadhna Kaushik for the same. This lady is not picking up the call, I don’t know that for what the case is filed, then via the forum I came to know that she is a Airtel legal council.
I am using Airtel services from more than 5 years and hold one postpaid connection, Airtel DTH connection also is this the way to torture your customers. I am seriously dis appointed with the proceedings, kindly clearify the issue asap.
I have already cleared the bill till the time i requested for transfer of connection and if your process is going to take 2 months for a connection which is supposedly 3 days why should I pay for the period which is delayed by you. Over that you guys also hold security money of Rs 1000 that you have taken from me and there is no update on the same as well.

I have also gone through a similar kind of psychological harassment... I had an airtel broad connection from last 3-4 years.
I was having a problem in the services of this connection. there was no connectivity on that connection after four months. I have lodged the complaint so many times but of no use.Nobody bothers even in their head office and thier local office as well as their customer care center. Airtel really sucks man. Then I have stopped the payment of their bill and suddenly they woke up and said that u pay the bill and your connection will start working in 24 hours. now again its almost 23 days and nobody has bothered to come over and find the fault. I am paying the charges from last four months without using the connection.

I RECOMMEND YOU TO JUST GET RID OFF THIS AIRTEL AND GET A BETTER CONNECTION FROM SOME OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER.

BELIEVE ME THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION BECAUSE ABSS ["AIRTEL BROADBAND SUCKING SERVICE"] IS NEVER GOING TO LISTEN.

I am fed up of the hoopla created by Airtel about their network connectivity. Its very ironic when Airtel talks about its wide spread network, and they are not able to provide network coverage even in the heart of a the city.

I started using Airtel two years back with a belief that they have good network coverage, but to my surprise the reality was altogether different.

Since past two years I have been facing network problem at my home, against which i have raised numerous complaints with Airtel. Till date I have not received any response from their side. I also registered a complaint about the same with their nodal agency but these guys are least bothered about it.

AIRTEL SUCKS...

If Airtel guys cannot answer such small queries, I believe they should rethink about what they are propagating.

    Hi,

    This is Amita Jha. I am using Airtel prepaid connection [protected] since from Oct'07 issued with the name of my brother Mr. Manoj Kumar.
    On 12th Oct'10, all of the sudden, i came to know that my number is not working and all the outgoings calls were getting transferred to Airtel Verification Cell. I spoke to the concern dept and came to know that my Airtel prepaid number was bared due to ID verifications issues.
    The whole details were take verbally and I was told that the number will be activated within an hour and it happened the same.

    But again on 13th Oct'10 evening, my Airtel prepaid number was bared.
    I called up to customer care again, but it was of no use as no one was there till midnight to attend the call and the call was put on hold for 15 or more minutes for several times.

    Today i.e. 14th Oct'10, since from morning 9, am trying to contact on 198 but the call is still unanswered.
    And my Airtel prepaid number is still bared.

    Plz help.....

      Sub:- AirTel –Unethical practices
      My daughter purchased a Sim Card from Banglore. The dealer charged Rs 2000 on the pretext of LifeTime validity but refused to give features of this scheme. I tried to contact Air Tel relationship center at Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh. They informed me that they do not know anything regarding Karnatka scheme. They also refused to give the customer relation nos of Karnatka but instead advised me to contact 121.
      This is strange that AP relationship center neither have the Karnatka details nor have customer nos of Karnatka.
      Previously I tried to scan the Air Tel website which is totally silent on this scheme neither it has the customer relationship numbers. Therefore this site is totally useless.
      I tried to contact 121 at 19.00 hrs on 13-10-10 from my number [protected] which gave me number of Karnatka as [protected]. I immediately contacted on this number which turned out to be totally mechanically automated and did not connect to a Service executive. I again contacted 121 which replied that since I am speaking from Corporate no therefore no information is coming. Is it sin to have a corporate no that even basic information is being hide under mystery and why Air Tel can not be terminated to a Service Executive for more personal service rather than fully automated service which is totally impersonal.
      Is it the same service which is being echoed at print/Visual media. Airtel Claims are totally hollow.

        I have a complaint about Airtel prepaid mobile telecommunication that i have done three wrong recharges on other states numbers which is as Rs 2222 on [protected], Rs 555 on [protected] and 120 on [protected] number at 7:00 p:m on 13 October 2010 with my Lapu number([protected]), and i want reversal of the following transactions bt our retailer helpline not help me on the task of reversal but i want reversal on my lapu number which is same as above because i always trust on Airtel services.

        so please take my complaint seriously and solve it as soon as possible.

          Dear Sir,

          On 9-Oct-2010 I went to Air-tel Office in Jayanagar 3rd block and told
          them that I want a transfer from post paid to pre-paid on the same
          mobile number i.e [protected]. They told me to clear all outstanding as
          on that day. I enquired from their telephone what is my total
          outstanding as on that, I was told over phone that it is Rs 2024/=.
          The Counter person told me to remit cash of Rs 2024/- immediately. I
          paid the cash Rs 2024/= on 09-Oct-2010 at 14:30 hrs TRANSACTION ID NO
          [protected] in respect of my mobile number [protected]. The concerned
          clerk in that office gave me the application for pre-paid and I filled
          the application and returned to hime along with my pan-card and
          driving licence photocopy for address and identification proof. They
          said this transfer will take place within 48 hrs and gave me the
          serial number[protected].
          Till today nobody has called me, when I went to enquire at the same
          airtel office I was told that there is outstanding of Rs 49.50 in my
          account. Again I REMITTED Rs 50/- CASH vide transaction Id NO
          [protected]. They also told me that their is no outstanding as of today
          every thing is cleared and adjusted against my deposit and various
          cash remittances made as mentioned above.
          Everyday I am paying for your delay in closing my post paid and
          opening my pre-paid for no fault of mine. I contacted [protected] today
          evening around 7:30 p.m Mr. Vijay came on line I told him the whole
          story, he said HE HAS LODGED THE COMPLAINT - COMPLAINT NUMBER
          34268007 AND IT WILL BE DONE WITHIN 2 HOURS.

          I AM REALLY FED UP OF THE WORST SERVICE I AM RECEIVING SINCE 4 DAYS.
          NOBODY IS TAKING CARE OF MY PROBLEM. UNNECESSARILY THEY ARE DELAYING.
          I THEREFORE REQUEST YOU TO LOOK INTO MY PROBLEM AND DO THE NEEDFUL
          URGENTLY. FOR YOUR DELAY I AM PAYING THE RENT EVERY DAY.

          IF IT IS NOT DONE QUICKLY i WILL MOVE THE MATTER IN THE CONSUMER COURT
          AND CLAIM COMPENSATION FOR ALL YOUR FAULTS

            I’m greatly concerned about a problem I have been facing with Airtel postpaid connection, which I have been using since 8 years. From around a week my unbilled usage has been disproportionately inflated. The amount has been ‘jumping’ from Rs. 150 to Rs. 227 in a span of 24 hours without me using it proportionately. I was concerned and completely stopped making any outgoing calls. Again the next day, the amount got inflated from Rs. 227 straight away to Rs. 428/- and I was shocked. The same evening, the amount once again jumped from Rs. 428 straight to Rs. 564.30/-. The only calls I had made was to the Airtel complaint center i.e the 198 service and to the Airtel nodal officer, Bangalore. None of them could solve the issue and all of them asked me to wait till the bill gets generated. The same evening I got all outgoing calls blocked, in a bid to stop the unbilled amount from getting wrongly inflated any further. Next day morning I went to an Airtel customer care center located in Gandhi Bazaar, Bangalore to surrender my sim and get my GSM connection, disconnected as I couldn’t take this mental harassment any further. The concerned people called up the customer care center to carry out the disconnection process, but within the next five minutes I got a call from one Mr. Saif Rehman, Floor supervisor, Customer Retention Dept., Bangalore. He gave me a ‘Promise number’ No.:[protected], promising that any discrepancy in the final bill will be revoked and I would have to pay only the amount which I have used. He also asked me to ignore the unbilled usage amount. He convinced me to re-activate my outgoing calls and did so. Right now I’m concerned about the rising unbilled usage, which has been rising disproportionately even without me making a single call. My average monthly bill amount has been at around Rs. 300/- every month for the past 8 years and I’m right now not using roaming nor any value added service nor I’m I using mobile internet. I’m the only user of this number.

              It is really a shame that services of your organisation have gone to this level!. I have been desperately trying to reach you at the numbers provided by the customer support people but there is never a response[protected] /[protected]

              Please read and respond

              GRIEVANCE NO 1

              I had applied for relocation of my telephone line[protected] which was done duly. Subsequently, I requested for cancellation of the Broad Band connection and retain the voice connection. However, since the past 45 days outgoing call facility from this number has been barred and is not started in spite of AT LEAST 20 REQUESTS to your customer Service - by way of calls and emails. Today what I heard from them was, it was due to non payment of bill - which is also not true. I am receiving bills for it without having the facility of making calls!!

              KINDLY LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND RESOLVE THE CONNECTION ASAP!


              GRIEVANCE NO 2

              Mr Satya (mobile no:[protected]) who is from your Marketing & Sales department, convinced me to go for additional 3 lines @ INR 699/- rental with a talk time of the same amount free per month. A cheque for INR 2100/- was issued to him on 29.07.2010 for arranging the connections on an URGENT basis. ON UNTIL NOW ONLY ONE OF THE CONNECTION IS DONE[protected].

              It has been more than 80 days now and after repeated continuous follow up (ATLEAST 25 CALLS TO SATYA & 15 REMINDERS BY EMAIL), I am not getting any proper response from Mr Satya OR your Customer Support. I am HIGHLY dissappointed with the service. I did not expect this type of service from Airtel - of which I have been a customer from the past 5 years!

              I NOW DO NOT WANT THE OTHER 2 PENDING CONNECTIONS AND DEMAND TO PLEASE ARRANGE FOR REFUND ASAP!

              I have tried calling you / sending you fax but no response.

                I am using an Airtel Pre-Paid number [protected] since Sept 2010 and have been facing a major network problem. I have made several complaints to the call centre and have also visited the Airtel Store at Malad West but in vain. People complaint of being unable to reach me and also when there are other Airtel Subscribers with me, I have noticed that it is always easy to make a call from their phone but with my phone it takes a few retries atleast. Moreover there is a lot of voice break and call drops as well. Please resolve this issue at the earliest or I will be forced to either disconnect the number ot migrate to another operator the day MNP is introduced.

                The number is registered in the name of Rishab Maskara (my cousin). This is because the Airtel Store people refused to give me a sim card on my name since i am from another state. I do no understand why there was a section in the form for non-local INDIANS.

                  I have a prepaid phone from Airtel. Last month on sept 6 I received a text message that your phone documents are not apprpriate, contact your nearby Airtel office and deposit the papers for the verification of address and photo ID. Within 48 hrs on 8Sept.2010 I submitted the copy of passport and Photograph along with airtel profarma mentioning complete details at Ascent Enterprises , Vijay khand , Gomti nagar , Lucknow ( ref. 1193130), which is a authorized Customer relationship Center, for this submission I have the receiving from Airtel. After few days the message was continously coming up. I again went to Ascent Enterprises and remind them that this message is still coming up. And today on 12.10.2010 from evening my outgoing services have been stopped stating that your papers are not complete. Futher message was there that if I agree to deposit the papers again within 48 hrs the services can be started within 1 hr. There was no other option except to agree with this condition. Before that I contacted [protected], which gave me another number [protected] to explain the problem . That gave me another number [protected] but of no use.
                  This inefficient services of Airtel is really painful and if the paper deposited almost 30-35 days before could not be confirmed and abruptly hampering the service is diabeling a customer from his right of communication and can be seriously viewed.

                    This complaint is about IVR service of airtel prepaid mobile.
                    I am user of airtel mobile service from past 1 year my no is. 90040044** (privative) since when i had purchase the sim card till date i get airtel promotion calls from IVR. since we are aware the no. so we disconnect the calls but in airtel the IVR promo. nos change in some period of time so we don't aware of new nos. so we pick the call but IVR is played i disconnect the call without pressing any other key still that service gets activated and balance get deduct from my prepaid a/c so all time we need to call to the Cust. care and they stop the service and gives reversal. But some time they dont accept that service get activated from the not so perfect IVR System and we don't get balance back.

                    My suggestion is that if a mobile service provider use Some nos. to promote their products so customer haves a rights no know the current IVR no. because we unaware the call which are coming and after disconnect the call still services get activated.
                    and about DND Services in todays marketing days we need to get updates from other marketing sites but if we activate the DND all things stop.

                    Only we need latest IVR Nos. when the changed or new Nos. added so we are beware before pick the calls of you not so perfect IVR System.

                    Airtel Prepaid — 50 Rs. deduction

                    dear sir,
                    i am a airtel customer.my airtel no is [protected] i want to say apply for Rs.22 gprs plan on my no. but this survice not start and Rs.22 deducted from my account balance immediately.after this i complaint the customer careof airtel they said that my problem solved on 21.1.2011 but my problem is not solved and the gprs plan is reactivated after 3 days and my Rs.22 deducted from my account balance. plaese give me my money back.

                    Airtel / Prepaid — Deducted amount Rs.347 in two days

                    Again deducted Rs.149

                    For your information in my account Rs.522 I have, take this also.
                    Because yesterday you deducted Rs.198 and today you deducted Rs.149

                    I don't know whats going on from yesterday please resolve it.

                    GIVE ME PORT NUMBER I WANT TO SWITCH TO OTHER NETWORK OTHERWISE RESOLVE IT.

                    WANT ANY SERVICE FROM AIR-TEL CANCEL ALL SERVICES..

                      I am an Airtel customer for more than 7yrs.This month on 4th of october I paid my bill for 800/- Rs. at Speedway communication, Rani Bazar,Bikaner.The name of receiving person was Mr.Punam Kalla and the said entry can be checked at the above reffered office, duly stamped and signed by the said person on my bill.But it was not credited to my account till dated 12/10/2010.I got repeatedly msgs n calls from your company.Atlast I went to the said office and contacted Mr.Punam Kalla regarding the matter.But he was least interested to look after the matter and replied in a very arrogant and rude manner and told me that "WHAT HAPPENED I[censored]R BILL IS NOT CREDITED". The said event of payment made by me on dated 4/10/2010 can be verified at ur above centre at Bikaner as well as on my bill.Kindly take an immediate action against the person who thinks he owns AIRTEL COMPANY. Such kind of misbehaviour doesn't suits company reputation.

                        i m Gagan jot using airtel connection from last two years.today i was using airtel live service to check my mail & i just checked my mail about 3-5 mins .when i finished they took off all my balance(30/- Rs).when i firstly called there custmer care sevice they said i have used net for 8 mins.& they deducted it for surfing.when i argued abt it they said v r going to transfer call to senior person & no response was there from them.again when i called same happend again and they were saying that i have used net for 4 mins.i was shocked how their repersantatives saying diffrent statemants.3rd time when i called custmer care they said i have use net three times about(100+secs with total charge of 30 paisa,180secs with total charge of 40 paisa & 400+secs with total Rs30) when i asked about his senior he transfered the call but again no response was there. i got a sms from airtel about my request number.

                          Airtel has a collection box in a building on Hosur Road where I drop my cheques. The collections happen daily but my cheques are not presented in time. it takes anywhere between 15-20 days. As the payments are not received I am harassed by dozens of phone calls following up for my payment with cheque details etc. I have mobile, landline and broadband connection and this is getting frustating. Earlier I used online, but Airtel has suspended services for that particular bank.
                          I raised several complaints, but they keep me on hold to find details and call gets disconnected after some time. I have to start all over again. I believe in making prompt payments, but it is Airtel own processes to blame, but instead of fixing their processes, they trouble you with following up. The complaints were closed without actual redressal and this is very serious. I need an answer from airtel.

                            Hello,

                            It is with deep disgust and anguish I am reporting my complaint against AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICES.

                            I switched over from BSNL Broadband to Airtel Broadband, though I thought big about the services of Airtel and now I tasted the bitter experience in a very short period with frequent line faults and mainly closing of my complaints without resolving them. My Airtel number is[protected]

                            I have been given 7 different complaint numbers starting from Sept 23rd,2010 till today Oct 12th,2010 and all my complaints were closed without providing any actual resolution.

                            [protected] Internet did not work later resolved
                            [protected] Internet did not work and router found to be damaged
                            [protected]rd complaint damaged router replaced
                            [protected] Replaced router did not work so another router needs to be replaced which was never replaced the next day 1.30pm as per the superviser Harish.M
                            [protected] New complaint created since the customer care person apologized that someone closed the previous complaint without giving resolution.

                            When I called the technician at he said that no router is available in stock and wireless router will be replaced when stock arises as wireless router is used by very few customers and use your BSNL router for time being. The most best answer was from Mr.Harish who told me to wait till the wireless router arrives since they have closed the previous complaint stating my issue has been resolved. He assured me that the next day the issue should be resolved by 1.30pm if not you can complain to nodal officer directly.

                            [protected] One more complaint number created today, the October 12th 2010 after so much toil
                            I am sure that this will also be closed without any resolution.

                            I am still without internet and still nobody has bothered to attend my problem.I even wrote to the Nodal officer and appellate officer on Oct 8th 2010, however a response was given to me from the appellate officer on Oct 11th 2010 that I am satisfied with their resolution.

                            I would say "Airtel is only fit to give promises and not fulfull it"

                            Just tell me what if some body gives false statements to you and tries to steal money from your pocket. Would anyone like to continue the service.I think I make some sense here.

                            But in reality no resolution was provided to me and they keep closing my complaints simply without resolving them. It is nothing but conscious deceit to fool the customer without providing any remedial measure.

                            "Providing Solution" doesnt mean to call someone and close the record with giving the actual solution. This is an act of fradulency. I guess you must understand the RESOLUTION HAS TO BE PROVIDED AND THE CUSTOMER HAS TO CONFIRM IT. I think AIRTEL has got its own standards to provide customer service.

                            I hope AIRTEL BROADBAND TEAM would be very proud for their worst ever service provided to me without giving any actual resolution for my broadband problem for weeks and simply closing my complaints number without any sort of a confirmation from my end for the reasons which is best to known to them.

                            I have all valid proofs that to establish that there were lapse on your side to address my concern and service deficiency being a prompt payer of my bills.

                            As a final measure I would lodge this complaint against the AIRTEL BROADBAND SERVICES for their worst service provided which has lead to my loss and given me such mental agony ever.

                            the airtel people only know to talk and not to work, and when you call the customer care, they make u fools and donot recieve your call. they fail to understand that its we who pay and we are noot on their mercy. the airtel poor support servise has got a shame to tha company. i guess now they should open their eyes and look around for their lost reputation. very poor job

                              I, Mohammed Ahmed Hussain, Cell Phone # [protected], Service Provider-AIRTEL, has lost my SIM Card on 10th of October, 2010 hence I called Customer Care to block my SIM card and they did and on 11th of October, 2010 I took new SIM card (HL-4) at 16:00 Hrs. from Airtel Office, Begumpet, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The SIM got activated after 3 hrs i.e. around 19:00 Hrs. And I got my Balance which I was having when I lost the SIM, but till now I'm unable to make any outgoing calls and also not able to send any text Message. I called Customer Care 7 times till now and everyone of the told that the outgoing service will be activated within 1 hour. Its been 22 Hrs but still I'm unable to make any out going call.
                              I spoke to the Documents office of Airtel and they said we are having all the documents of yours and the out going service will be activated with in 15 mins. Then even after 2 hrs I was not able to make any call. Hence I called customer service again and spoke to the supervisor and he said Sir definitely the service will be activated in 1 hours but still I'm unable to make any call. And this is really frustrating.
                              I want the problem to rectified very soon and want that serious action should be taken against the Customer Service of Airtel for not providing the satisfactory answers to my question and for this inconvenience.

                                  I took an Airtel broadband connection of "Money Back offer". I am suppose to get money back of 100rs discount after 3rd month(i.e. 4th month bill). Now Airtel executive says that I have not taken money back offer. When Airtel executive came for selling connection, he sold by saying its money back offer only. He has given me a bill of 350rs and charged 1000rs by saying we will adjust it. we will deduct it back after 3rd month bill(100rs discount). And now they are denying its not money back its different.
                                  We as a customer, we obeyed Airtel executive and we are been guided by him. He said all the customers of Airtel pays amount in this way only(350rs). You also have to pay 1000rs and we will give bill of 350rs. All of sudden they have changed the status of our connection now. Not only that for selling connection he had not let us fill the application form itself. he said sir you can sign is the mentioned place we will fill the form. why do you keep these kind of executive(s) who make customer fool for an amount of 1000rs?. Can some one help me out of this issue.

                                  My out standing bill amount is 891 rs and the due date is Oct 16, 10. it is supposed to be 891-100 = 791rs.

                                    i Hope atleast this message will reach Airtel Top Management.

                                    i booked a Aitrtel HD connection for Rs2955 through credit card on IVR on Sep 29. i got a message from airtel on the next day stating my customer ID as [protected] and the next line of the message stats that your account balance is Rs1300. i was shocked and called up the customer care, you will not believe i had called the Customer care for more than 20 times in one hour, nobody answered my query instead the put my call on hold and cut the call.

                                    After taht they called me up and said our executives will call you shortly on Oct 2 and today is Oct 12 till now nobody called me.

                                    i had also sent a mail to DTH.[protected]@airtel.in on 6th Oct and they said they will revert back with 5 days ... as usual no one called up. when i call the customer care a recorded voice is coming up asking to send a msg to 54325. when i tried reaching Nodal Care at[protected] the number is always busy.

                                    I don know what to do now. Some one Please advice me how to proceed. the best part is i still don know what was the problem with my Account.

                                    i trusted Airtel for 4 long years as i used their Mobile Service and now all my trust were broken.

                                      Please help me i was using Airtel Prepaid no for last 10 years .I went to us for 2 years and come back to India afeter 14 months on Dec 09 that time i recharge my mobile wih sufficient balance and have validity till year 2010. March onwards Airtel guys they they starts sending messgaes everyday and starts deducting 1 rs for each messages.Even i never register / enroll for such messages. If i want to discontiue message then i have to send message to stop receiving messages.Since i was in USA so just sending message itself charge 100 rs.So it was very costy.
                                      Now when i came back on 28 Aug 2010.Airtel guys reject my SIM and they are them they discontinue my prepaid mobile sevice .
                                      I was using my prepaid no [protected] more then last 10 years and in my all bank / credits cards/ all friends for 10 years using my prepaid no [protected].
                                      After following airtel offices many times still not seeing any response from Airtel Office (Gurgaon ) and they web site.

                                        I recharged my prepaid card on 02 Oct 10 for Rs.100 for which there was a talktime of about Rs.85/- (I don't remember the figure exactly). I was taken by shock to note that my amount had reduced to Rs.20/- despite the fact that I had made hardly 4 to 5 calls for only few minutes over a period of 5 days. When I contacted the customer care center, one fellow said that some message service pertaining to actor Vijay was found activated and therefore the reduction in tariff was effected. He said that everything was sorted out at the other end and there wouldn't be any problem in the future. But I found that was getting a standard indication in my mobile 'unable to access server' and 'DNS service not available', which I'm not aware of the terminology even now. The first fellow's name was Balaji.

                                        I was again taken aback to find that the deduction was continuing and nearing to Rs.10/-. I contacted the Customer care once more and started narrating the same problem to some other fellow, the reply which was not convincing. I asked him to connect me to his senior officer and he connected me to one Mr.Mariya Doss. He told me that an internet connection was found activated in my mobile and hence the charges were deducted at 30 paise per usage. He instructed me to make some changes in my mobile which I did at his behest. Even then the problem wouldn't solve.I thought I'll speak with somebody and exhaust the amount as anyway the money would be looted my airtel. I nullified the amount after speaking to one of my known acquaintances. I requested for the number of Mariadoss, which he gave as [protected] as I cannot be repeating the same episode to everybody. The best point is that I never browse over internet in my mobile. And in-spite-of that I double checked everything is inactive as far as internet operations are concerned. Even then I would get the same messages like ' DNS Service not available' and 'Unable to access server'. How could it be when I'm not using any internet service and everything has been supposedly deactivated at their end? Alas! Mariadoss wouldn't lift his mobile even after making scores of calls. Is it the way Airtel operates? Shame on Airtel.

                                        I later went to Airtel customer care center near Trichy bus stand only to find that nobody knows the technicality of the subject and I had to speak over the hotline from there to the same fools, who pose themselves as customer care representatives over phone. Wah Airtel ! Now a lady by name Pushpa comes in and asks me about the problem and I go wild. How many times I have to explain the problem to several people? She was sportive enough to hear all my tempered words and finally guarantees that everything is OK now and I can rest assured go ahead with my recharge. I asked her what happens if again my amount gets deducted automatically. She said that she is pretty sure that the problem has been resolved and she would give me a credit if the problem persisted. Taking her words for granted, I purchased a Rs.10/- card and gave a try. The devil is back. Within 2 hrs of charging, I found that the amount has reduced to Rs. 4.20 out of talktime of Rs.6/-. Pl.note that I haven't made any external calls by then. Again everytime I find the message 'unable to access server', I find 30 paise being deducted from my account.

                                        Again I give a try to the mobile number [protected] supposedly belonging to some Cynthia, who is the nodal officer in Airtel. This number was given by Pushpa after my repeated questioning. I tried to check out the status of the cast iron guarantee given my 'Pushpa the great' . And now comes another female 'Vinitha' asking me to explain the same history once more. I shout at her and say that she better rings me up at the earliest.I ask her about Pushpa and she says she sits somewhere else at some other place. Howzzatt? Vinitha apologizes and says she will get back to me immediately after settling the problem and there is no mention about 'Cynthia'. I wait for her call and as usual typical of shameless bunch of Airtel group, she never rings me up. I thought I'll try from my side. Alas! I find the same music ringing but people to no avail. Shame on you Airtel, living like a parasite on others money without providing any service. My money out of the balance Rs. 4.20 is rapidly decreasing. What do I do Mr. Sunil Mittal? Should I say shame on you too because of the inefficiency of your staff?

                                        Is there any reprieve at all from Airtel?

                                        Airtel — money deducted without usage

                                        i got airtel sim and i got GPRS conection, from 1 of february 2008 i asked to deactivate my GPRS and airtel people did it but the problem is the rental is getting deducted every day (Rs.15 per day). i complained to customer care regarding this for around 6 times but nothing happened. on 7th they refunded me but from next day again started deducting. i again complained on 10th but i was promised to stop and nothing was done.whenever i call them, they promise me as if they will solve my problem in a moment but next day same story.

                                        AirTel — Charges without usage

                                        I got a message from number:582433 at my mobile number; [protected] that my monthly subscription for yahoo! zone is due on 17. March, 2008 and I will be charged rs. 30 for the same. I never activated this service on my mobile and connection. Few months back I was charged rs. 99 for WAp service by giving wrong information to me by Mr. Inderjeet, who called me from airtel service centre. I requested your GPRS cell to deactivate yahoo zone scheme as I have no subscription to it. If Airtel charges rs. 30 on 17 march 2008, then i would be left with no option except to go to court in this regard.

                                        whenever i try to connect to my sister staying in nepal, i hear the beep sound then it shows me CALL END DISCONNECT. when i check my balance NINE rupees gets automatically deduct. some time they DEDUCT FIVE rupees, sometimes NINE rupees.
                                        i donot understand why it happens only to ISD calls not to local calls.

                                        recharged my bom sim in pune and money keeps diappearing from my balance.it is always reducing even when the phone is off.this is the second time it has happened to me.
                                        wrote mail to airtel and also to nodal officer and appellate officer mumbai but no reply so far. recd an acknowledgement with unique reference no. i dont think airtel is bothered.
                                        i recharged a sim in pune on 14/7/09 for rs 100 and got talktime of rs.88 from which -13 rs. so balance was 75.11.I switched off the phone .On 25/7 09 i switched it on to make a call and to my horror it showed a balance of rs2.11.
                                        In the evening ichecked again it showed a balance of -3.11.Subsequently i removed the sim and have not inserted it back again However i was told that amounts still keep getting reduced inspite of no sim in phone.
                                        I think airtel are cheats and do not respond to complaints.

I have lifetime prepaid on my number. recently my money was getting reduced after getting sms from 290603. after that i had charged 100 rs still money kept on decreasing even after not using it. I never asked any service from airtel. Even after passing of 48 hours the serice has not been activated, though the message after every call flashes that you have made this call at 50 paise per minute, but the charged deducted are 75 paise per minute.

                                        I have an airtel prepaid connection with me, which I took almost 4 years back, the number is[protected]. Since the account is active till May 10, 2010, I went to a shop in Mallesh Palya near my house and recharged it . Till yesterday, my account balance was almost Rs.178 . But today all of a sudden its shown as zero. I went to the same shop and asked the person who recharged and he told me that Airtel creates a duplicate account for its customers, whenever we recharge and its a fraud undertaken by Airtel.

                                        Since you are the Airtel officer, I need my 178 rupees to be transferred back to my present account which expires only in 2010 . I want my money back, since I have not used it . Whether you are doing this fraud or whether the shop person is doing it .. I have lost my money and Airtel is not ready to credit it .

                                        I'm using AIRTEL (Bangalore, Karnataka). These guys are charging things unnecessarily. I don't even know the reason why they are charging. I had recharged for a Full TT of Rs.333. After two days, I got a message from AIRTEL stating that "[B]Thanks for downloading 1170 iCoins from Airtel. You have been charged [U]Rs. 199[/U]. Enjoy Models Club http://203.115.112.5/SM/[/B]". I din't open any thing from my mobile, I got a BB connection of my own in my home. Airtel is Such a Cheat.

                                        I called to the customer care and asked regarding this. They told that I opened up some link and thats why the money got deducted. I din't open any damn links. I even don't have got the browser settings on my mobile for browsing internet. The same problem happened a month back but the money deducted was like around 3 or 6 Rs & so i din't took it seriously. I left that problem without complaining. But this time they have gone too far.

                                        Customer care told that they have registered the complaint and gave the ref.[protected] and told that they will call within 20th of this month & if the problem is on their side they will refund the amount. How will they accept that the problem is on their side. They keep on saying that I have clicked the link and thats why it got deducted.

When I contacted Airtel complaint number 198 and talked with Mr.Ravi (Senior Executive - As told by him) for this unwanted forcily deduction of amount at 20:30 PM on 18/08/2010, then he showed his inabilty for the cause of deduction of amount, but agreeed to get me the amount in AIRTEL Prepiad account reversed. I insisted him and asked him to tell me the reason for harrasing me with such type o[censored]nwanted deduction otherwise I will report the matter in consumer forum. In reply to this he asked me to go ahead with your complaint to consumer forum.

First of all, their customer care complaint number are not working properly. Whenever, I tries to connect and talk to customer care executive, it disconnets in an unruly manner and about Rs. 65/- has been deducted from my prepaid account by showing activation of value added services and downloading some tunes from airtel, whereas, I have not activated any kind of services in my mobile and not downloaded anything yet. This is not customery and moderate behaviour as airtel services are showing. Now, i got fedup with this and planning to switchover to another services provider with MNP.

                                        Hi, I Vijendra Agarwal, Mobile no : [protected].

                                        Today, I received one sms that hungama game downloaded to my mobile and 10 rs deducted for it from my account. I didn't send the request for downloading the game + internet is not activated on my mobile. I am not sure how the game is downloaded. Moreover on my mobile I checked there is no such game downloaded. When I called customer care to get the details and revert the charges, the customer care person is not ready to listen my query and hangup the phone on me. Moreover he has added my number in a list so that I am not able to connect any customer person after that.

                                        Kindly look into the issue and please revert the charges levid on my mobile.

                                        Airtel — Regarding the usage of Mobile Internet service from Airtel for prepaid Number

                                        Hi,
                                        I have been using the Airtel prepaid service from September 2009 and been facing several problems, none of my problems were resolved till today, on 24th June at 03:07 I recharged a full talk time of 345 and my total balance was 479.29(the 0.29 approximated figure). On 25th June at 09:02:55 AM my internet service was activated and at 11:02:57 my balance was 0.18. I was charged unnecessarily, were I have not downloaded anything.
                                        When I called the customer service centre at 11:02 I was not provided with proper solution. Later when I spoke to the handler he provided me with the below information:
                                        The usage of internet from 09.04(the time mentioned is according to the mobile)
                                        At 9:04 the total usage was 22.99
                                        At 9:37 the total usage was 23.41
                                        At 10.08 50MB got over. (Information was provided by Saravanan)
                                        He said after 10.08 the balance of 50MB using got over and I have continued the service, but no popup were received regarding this and did not receive any notification on the mobile.
                                        At 10:54 the total usage was 25.66 MB
                                        At 10:29 the total usage was 5.19 MB
                                        At 10:54 the total usage was 3.02 MB
                                        He said they have charged INR of 15.00 for per MB. Two weeks back when I used the same facility I was charged only INR of 01.20 for checking of mail were my mobile was not activated for internet.
                                        The service provider said will be giving me a call back after 2 hours to update me on the information but did not receive any call at 03:25, I called them back to check on the status when I spoke with Saravanan the supervisor of the customer service, told him about the query which was raised on morning he said will be contacting me back after 4 hours. Told him after several complains too the problem is not resolved and no necessary action was taken. I requested him that I need an explanation on the cost charged for per MB and what was reason for charging me INR 15.00 for per MB were nothing was downloaded and on the cost why they charged INR 01.20 previously on the same usage. Requested that I need the money to be refunded he said will not able to update on the refund as he wants to confirm things with his manager.
                                        Till now I have not received any response.
                                        Will this going to help AIRTEL to sustain its customer like me or going to be big ? for the customers like me.

                                        This is regarding 1 & 1/2 year back one of the X-company XYZ colleague called me couple of times on my IDEA card.

                                        Now I dont know where that colleague is. Now Airtel legal department used to call me & ask about that colleague details (current phone no., address) in a undisciplined manner & with some bad language.

                                        I dont understand these mobile phone companies can call anyone (other card user) for any kind of services in an undisciplined way.

I came to know that it has happened with many of my friends in relatives. This is disgusting and not expected from a company who are at a great level in telecom sector.

                                        This is like a fraud whit out making a call the call charges get from my account directly like your last call cost is 0.30 it will happned 5 to 10 times a day , I was complaint about this issue 3 to 4 times their customer support people not responding properly.

                                        Airtel Prepaid — Charging me double amount

                                        Sir, I had a balance of 380 messages on date 21.9.2011. Airtel charged me double amount of each sms I did.
                                        Means they deducted 2 message balance, for only 1 message (less than 160 characters). my kind request to accept my complaint.
                                        Each time AIRTEL charges me many amounts in one and other way.
                                        Sometimes they automatically start Caller tune service, sometimes they deduct my balance directly. (Rs. 40 was once cut from my balance). Than I have to always call customer care and they also dont follow up for first time. I have to call them many times.
                                        I too get same messages for unwanted News subscription. Especially under this AZ Service, AD-54321 for ITW News -1 subscription service. These AIRTEL people are day light robbers. Presently, it is for news subcription they are deducting my amount. Earlier it was for some GHATI - or shall I call it GOO - HATI -Third class ka bhi third class song "Amba Pikato" which was so irritating and then for JOKES not requested.

                                        With some or the other resaon they make us "Bakras". As such strong action should be taken against this company or its staff who is trying to steal commission to increase their salary.

                                        Airtel — Beep Sounds - SMS in Between Calls!!!

                                        Now Aitel has started to Drop SMS in Between Calls!!! This is a Clear Breach of Privacy!!! I hear Beep Sounds When I am Talking on the Mobile Because Airtel has Begun to Drop Marketing SMS right in between - Very Disturbing and Indecent on Airtel's part. Are Your Listening - Airtel?
                                        I am not sure about other service providers but Airtel keeps deducting money from the prepaid user's account and i am sure it is done on purpose to increase sales. I recharged my phone with 1000 Rs. but 100 rs. are deducted within 2 days even though i hardly use my phone. To crosscheck I started monitoring my calls and amount left in my account, to my surprise amount is deducted within 2 to 3 hrs. for not even using my phone.

                                        Pathetic service by Airtel people, Can somebody recommend me another service provider. Now we can easily shift to another service provider without changing the phone number.

I still wonder how my iPhone locked on to Airtel's 4G network when my iPhone's Cellular was switched off and 3G also switched off and 4G is not even available in my city (Trichy). Funny thing was that my iPhone's statistics showed a 10 MB (note this is MB compared to the GB which customer care told) which was definitely because I downloaded a 5MB A.R. Rahman song from the internet (which was the primary reason I activated the 2G 3 day ₹17 internet pack). I lost over ₹400 that day. After that I never recharged more than 100 to my mobile.

                                        Yesterday, I recharged ₹50 on my phone because the ₹200 which I recharged via Airtel Money had suddenly disappeared. Today morning I made a call to a friend and spoke for 13 seconds. It showed me a balance of ₹39. I checked the 3G balance and it showed me around 300 MB. I turned on the 3G and made a google search. Within 10 seconds the 3G stopped working and google stopped loading. I checked my main balance and it showed 0. My 3G balance also showed zero. I have switched my iPhone from 4 to 5 two months ago so I suppose the possible explanation is that the virus is applicable to all iPhones. Airtel needs to make a complaint and sue Apple for have installed viruses into every iPhone!!
