I too received this kind of SMS.. thought I am existing airtel customer.. but I didn't do any kind of transfer. Airtel guys pls. don't spoil ur reputation with these kind of fraud websites...

I have also received the SMS, then they have sent me the same thing they did with you. I thought it was real offer from AIRTEL seeing there SMS and Site. But when they asked 440INR as customer charge, my mind got doubt, and I became pretty sure that it is fraud. When I dint do any thing, the have sent me n-number of SMSs to pay the amount.

I know that no body asked to deposit amounts like that, and send this much of SMSs. Also, there was no contact details in there site. Pure FRAUD.

The site seems to be down, I think you can go and complain to police, so that they trace and suspend that bank account, find that guy and kick is butttt... :)

    Regards
    Dharam

      Dear All,

This is Mithun from Bangalore. As i have been using the airtel prepaid Sim for more than 5 years. Recently i had got a text message from my service provider saying that my documents submitted to obtain Sim connection is not valid. So asked me to update the same in two days, where as i got the message on Saturday afternoon. But they disconnected my connection on Monday afternoon itself. Later on i went to a nearest dealer, submitted the current documents of ID, and Address proof. Then on my request they activated my connection. Just few hours after that again my connection was disconnected. I was told the reason as, my Address was not matching with the old one. I had updated it long back itself. As everybody knows that the today's life being imagined without a mobile.

Here are few points of mine :

      1) Disconnection without any notice.

      2) Worse and hopeless networks.

      3) They could have verified my address as they found my ID to be correct.

      4) Customer care DRAMA, Not able to reach most of the times. If at all we reach them, they cant suggest/help customer to solve such issues.

      5) And i am DAMN sure this kind of complaints wont fall on those DEAF ears.

      6) If at all anyone needs to get to me, can mail me at [protected]@yahoo.com.

I took the monthly internet pack of AIRTEL GPRS. I am getting download speed of 1KBps.(its very slow internet). Some time i couldnt able to connect internet.

I used the AIRTEL-gprs in bangalore. it was very good. But in Madurai, Airtel is giving very worst GPRS facility.

Please take some action for providing good facility .

my mobile number is [protected] which is in bangalore.i had a easy recharge or rs.98 gprs pack.the speed is very good in bangalore.when it comes to tamilnadu the speed is very slow.even u can't able to connect to laptop.i want to know whether speed will decrease during roaming
Airtel is the worst GPRS/EDGE service provider, customer service very poor.I was having a low speed problem with airtel. After informing the customer care the speed got even worse. This shows the people there in Airtel dont posses any expertise in solving the problem.I'm getting speeds of 2-5KB/sec of speed after their person from AIRTEL technical team laid his hands. For high speeds with less variations go for BSNL EDGE/GPRS.For good customer service go to aircel, with little less speed but unlimited downloading.

I have faced the same problem twice - once each in Airtel-Karnataka and Airtel-Goa. Complaint: I ask an Airtel agent for a top-up/recharge, and instead I end up with a plan change. So instead of getting Rs188 talktime recharge, I end up with a Rs1 talktime and a new, 'bad' plan. So I lose money at the time of recharge, and on an ongoing basis because the new plan has very poor facilities.
And after that it is impossible to explain the problem to Aitel customer service and get the problem rectified.

              Address: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh

I am Kamesh Pratap Singh, an Airtel landline & broadband (0120
4323602), Mobile Postpaid[protected] and Airtel digital TV
customer. I always held high respect w.r.t quality of service,
connectivity and availability of customer options. I had a belief that
Airtel brand is strongly connected with utmost reach and excellent
              customer service.

              I started using Airtel Broadband[protected] on June 17th 2010
with a plan of Rs. 799/ giving me a limit of 5 GB data download. My
first bill came to the amount of Rs. 1428 involving a total usage of
approximately 8 GB i.e 3 GB extra as per the plan.

I decided to change the limited data usage plan into an unlimited plan
(1299 impatience) and given a request on July 27th 2010 for the same
obtaining a request number[protected]. I was told by the executive that
it would be enabled from the next billing cycle begining in the month
              of August 2010.

To my surprise, I recieved a bill of Rs 2399/ for the month of August
2010 payable on 30th August. I called up at the customer service (011
[protected] for the clarification and spoke with executive (Shushendra).
Initially he seemed baffled with my question and finally put me on
hold and disconnected the phone. I called up again and spoke with an
executive (Sweet Rajwani) who apprised me that there is no change in
the broadband tariff as requested. I am continued to be billed at Rs.
799/ (Limited - 5 GB plan) instead of Rs. 1299(Unlimited) for the
              current month.

I was transferred to the senior executive (Juhi Bodke) and presented
the same and hoped for a solution. I was told categorically that they
are not able to locate the request made by me hence have to pay the
current bill. I was told the they are not sure as whether the request
was taken or not, hence I have to pay the bill even though there is no
              fault of mine.

I have decided that I would not pay the bill as long as the existing
issue is not solved and shall discontinue other services from Airtel
              as well.

Please restore faith in the image that you have created by years of hard work.

                Hi,

As per trail mail that both numbers are de-activate due to negative verification, I just tell you that both the numbers convert from post-paid to prepaid and the same address given to you at the time of convert from post-paid to prepaid ( Post-paid address and prepaid address are both the same ).

Another question, no any veryfication from your end at given my address to you, So why tell you verification negative...and why given to my number to another customer. And when i trying to call that no.'s that anouncement is dailed number not available, so why activate that number to any person.

Activate my same number for me, otherwise we are going to Consumber form.

                Regards

                Krishan Kumar

I have complained on 23.08.2010 about error code B001 and your CCE told me that your problem will be resolved till 13:30 hrs. of 24.08.2010. Your engineer called me at 14:30 and ask to come. [protected] is given at 8:38 pm on 25.08.2010 that your complaint has been resolved but still your engineer has not come and how the problem is resolved , I don’t know. How is your company that without engineer coming the problem is resolved automatically and I again contacted your customer care at 7:18 Pm on 25.08.2010 and they told that our engineer will visit on 29.08.2010. How is your company? How your company will grow without firm commitment on false facts. I don’t know. How many days will take this complaint? I don’t understand. Will it take 30 days or 60 days. Is there no reputation of your company.
                    Kindly resolve my problem immediately.

AIRTEL DIGITEL — No Signals : Error B001

                    Hi,

I am a AIRTEL DTH service user for last 8 months and now I have started facing a strange error i.e. B001 (No Signals) recently.

For last 1 week, I am trying to connect to AIRTEL DTH customer care and every time, I either get stuck in long queue or it gets disconnected after being on IVR for almost 20 min.

Fortunate enough, I have been able to log 2 complaints (id: 8200424 & 8237842) but no engineer turned up, though their SLA time mentioned by CC executive was 06:30 pm and 11:00 AM (next day) respectively.
Also my both the complaints got resolved on very next day, they were created, stating that issue has been resolved and AIRTEL people have been so cordial to inform me that sending a sms ( but the best part has been, issue is still as it is and I am unable to use the services for last 1 week).

I really appreciate the professionalism and their nack of quick resolution (Pun intended).

                    Regards,
                    One fateful AIRTEL DTH user

                        Address: North Delhi, Delhi

                        Dear Sir,
I had a personal number [protected]. i pay rs500 refundable fee against this. my credit limit was rs1100 but they rase a bill of rupee rs3000 for the month. I was not in the condition to pay the bill at the same time. then airtel stop my services. I was waiting for the call from airtel, so i can talk to them about my bill and my refundable amount of rs. 500 , so i can pay the rest of the amount. but suddenly after a month i received calls from my friends and even from my boss that Airtel agents calling us that you didn't pay the amount. and the agents said them that their numbers are given by me as reference number. Why i give my boss number as reference number. i already give my tata number to airtel as reference number while purchasing the sim. but i don't know why they do this. after calling all my friends they called me for the payment. i raise the question , why didn't you people call me for the payment and talk about the payment issue . they said if you pay the amount then we will call your boss and say sorry on behalf of airtel. but they didn't ready to adjust my refundable money. I pay rs,2000 in the store cuz i am not able to believe their words. so they called me again and said that you just paid rs,2000 . i just said , 1st call to my boss and whoever they called and say sorry to them and i will pay rest of the amount at the same time. but they didn't ready to call to them. After 2 or 3 days i received calls from [protected] different agents. that i have to pay rs,1650. but they didn't ready to talk about their rubbish calls to my relative and family and they do the same again. after 2 or 3 calls they ready to adjust my refundable amount and pay rs 1250 but they didn't ready to send me the copy of the settlement as they said and my last billing details , as they promise me to mail me at the moment of call they are doing. they are not ready to tell that how and when i get the NOC of the number. now i start receiving the notice of the court on behalf of airtel. Even i payed the amount just 15-20 days ago. They try to treat loyal customer as cheater, even customer ready to pay. You just imagine that till the date i used the airtel number , i pay in advance. my history of the bill was very good. but still airtel doing this.

I am complaining here to see the complaint like me - http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/complaint-agasint-air-tel-recovery-a...

I want activation of that same number in that same sim as soon as possible...

                        My contact number [protected]

AirTel — agent used call records to call friends and family

I have been a customer of Airtel broadband and landline for more than 2 years. I changed my mobile number a few months months ago and gave Airtel customer care agents the new number whenever I called them. Yet they had not updated my current working numbers.
Recently I was unable to pay my bill and got reminders from Airtel. But after about a month, my airtel landline phone was also disconnected temporarily by Airtel due to non-payment.
However, Airtel did have my permanent address as well as my email address.

On the 23rd of December 2011, instead of contacting me, an agent from the collection agency representing Airtel made calls to one of my relatives. The relative informed me about it and I called the agent on the same number. The agent said, he had access to all the records of outgoing calls we make from 'my' Airtel landline phone. He had chosen three of the numbers we(my family) frequently make calls to from the Airtel landline and called up one of the numbers.
Airtel does not have rights to provide other parties with such information. Even Airtel does not have the rights to call the people we contact through our landline phone personally. The fact that the agent had used such records without any sort of permission shocked everyone around me.
The same evening I requested that my Airtel broadband and landline connection to be terminated. On the 24th of December 2011, a person from the Retention department of Airtel. I insisted that my landline and broadband connections may be terminated. He accepted it. He also tracked down the name of the collection agent I'd spoken with the previous day. Additionally he promised to escalate the issue & that necessary action would be taken within 48 hours regarding the agent's action and the insecurity of my records maintained by Airtel and that I would be informed about it.
But as on 27th december 2011, I have not received intimation if any action was taken. So I called the Airtel customer care and was informed that the person from the retention department had closed my request for cancellation stating that I had accepted to being retained as a customer, which I definitely did not.

Then my call was transferred to a manager who confirmed it and spoke only about the termination request but not the breach of integrity and privacy. Finally she took a complaint about the person from the retention dept. having untruthfully maligned my termination request. She went on to state that the issue was resolved from her end, which was also certainly wrong and misleading.

I am considering legal action against Airtel to ensure that more people do not have to suffer from anguish, agony, embarrassment, loss of credibility and other negative effects because of the irresponsible actions of the mentioned company.
                        Hi,

I am Dhinesh. I used a personal airtel
postpaid number [protected]. I got unwanted calls to that number from previous user's relation. so i requested to customer care to give an alternate number. so they asked to pay the bill and will provide the new number. I accepted their condition. I received my bill. But in my previous bills they gave a discount for my bill charges. but last bill didn't have discount. so i requested for discount. They also accepted my request. but still they didn't reduce my bill. then after a month i received calls from my friends, colleagues and my relatives that Airtel agents calling us that you didn't pay the amount.and the agents said them that their numbers are given by me as reference number. but i gave my aircel number as reference number while purchasing the sim. They called to my cousin and they asked her, what is the relationship between you both. They used hard words to my cousin. why they behaving like this? They had my alternate number. Then why they called to relatives and my friends? Now what can i do?

The problem I am facing is that, some numbers get connected, but I do not hear the response from the other end. I can’t switch off the cell nor does any key operate, after 3-4 mins the mobile displays connection error. I have even changed my instrument thinking it was an instrument fault but realized it wasn’t.

I have also called the customer care several times soon after I have had a problem with a number and given details of the number. I have explained to them that my connection is a corporate connection and I hold a responsible position in the institution. The advertisement of our institute should carry my number and each ad costs us Rs.90, 000/-.

I have used another number in the advertisement which had definitely affected the inflow of students and created a chaos. We have already released 3 advertisements and the cost is approximately Rs. 2, 80, 000/-

I shall take a legal action if I am further not clarified about the same and reminder about my bill payment till the problem is solved. Do note that, my number is existing since 3 years, my bills are paid regularly. I have also made detailed recording of my verbal complaints.

I have used another number in the ad which had definitely affected the inflow of students and created a chaos.

Airtel Postpaid Connection — Network Problem

I am facing severe network problem at my place of residence. All the airtel postpaid connections are not working properly inside my house. We are not able to make/receive any calls. This problem is only present indoors since I am able to use my mobile as soon as I step out of my house.

This problem is present since a week now. I registered a complaint with airtel on saturday. I was told the problem will be resolved within 24 hours. But there was no update even after the said time period elapsed. I again called on sunday. This time I was told that their engineer will visit my premises on monday by 12 noon. But again no action was taken. I called the customer care centre for the third time. This time I was told to register a fresh complaint. I was also advised to change my handset and SIM card. This seems a very absurd advise since the problem has nothing to do with the handset. Everyone with an airtel connection is facing the same issues at my residence. Also the prooblem is present only inside my house. So it is clearly a case of network coverage issues.

I have faced severe harassment at the hands of airtel. Till now there is no assurance from their side that this issue will be resolved.
                            I am Facing network problem.

Airtel- post paid — Network Issue

                            Dear All,

I have lodged compalint with Airtel for poor/ no network coverage at my residence in July 2009. I have raised this issue till the level of appellate in air tel. I still have not received solution of the issue eventhough my residence is in southmumbai & main road itself. I have also changed my handset still the issue remain the same. These people do not respond to compalints & issue at all.

                              Dear Sirs,
I was using the above post paid connection of Airtel for over 4 years till November 2009 during my stay in Kolkata
In nov 09 i was transferred to jamshedpur & hence requested airtel to disconnect the service against the said number.
Further to which i sent several letters via email to airtel customer care requesting them to refund my security deposit of Amount Rs 6500 against this number.
They asked me to forward them address proof & photo identification proof via mail to their customer care id. Which was done instantaneously.
Further to which i called their customer care several dozens of times but till date no action has been taken.
Sir, i work for a small company & this amount is a substantitial amount to me.

I am a Airtel subscriber from around one year. Now the airtel sending me the SMS on my number that your document found unauthentic, please submit the document once again to the nearest airtel office.

As I have already sumitted the document at the time of SIM purchage, and after it's verification the SIM was activated. So, why I go for document verification once again. Also, if airtel have any doubt then they has to verify my authenticity by enquiry about me and my document. It's not my duity.

I totally agree with you.I was given a free conection of Airtel digital TVwith my purchase of Samsung color TV in August 2009.I never liked their package and never recharged in until now. I requested the customor care people 1000 times not to send any messages and I don't want their connection to br recharged. .But daily 3 or more mesages come on my cell phone to recharge it. It is a permanent nuisance for me. I requested donot distrub alert also on their website. It is of no use.

I am registered with DND and even them airtel ppl are give me unnecessary calls and sms. I have called Customer Care thrice and everytime they forward my call to their seniors and the senior asks for the numbers from which i get the calls ans sms and then notes down my alternate number and assures me that the issue will be resolved in 10 days as the senior is handling the problem. but nothing happens. If ever i loose or suffer any social or financial harm because of these unnecessary calls n sms at any stage, the airtel group will be sole responsible for that as my repeated requests gave gone in vain. No fun to talk to or write to nodal office because i have done the same in march april but didnt got a positive response from there too.

                                        regards,
