Hello,

Recently I noticed that I was being deducted small amounts of money from my Airtel mobile prepaid account without me making any calls or sending SMS. I called Cust. care. They said a certain pack was active. I was not even aware what the pack was about so asked her to deactivate it. She said she'd do so, but didn't.

I lost money the next day too and called the customer care again. This time I met with a very rude representative who kept repeating the same thing over and over again. He did not trust me when I said I did not activate the service and declined to show any empathy. I had no option but to add my mobile number to the DND.

I'm even considering disconnecting the Airtel connection. If I continue to face such problems, I will certainly take it to the consumer court.

My airtel number got disconnected on 10/08/2010 and the same day I have submitted xerox copies of Voter ID, Pan Card, Passport to Cunningham airtel office and also in Nandi durga airtel office. Since i had lots of telephonic interviews to be attended on that week, I followed up those offices and each time they assured that within 48 hours, this I will get my problem rectified. But till today(16th) it has not been rectified. They keep on extending the dates. It seems they doesnt want me to attend the interviews and keep on delaying. I have wasted lots of time in visiting their office as well as money in calling up their customer care. I have given up now and request you to kindly take action on such providers. Usually, all other operators activate the numbers in 1 day and these people have taken a week time still it is not activated. My alternative contact number is [protected]

I have purchased a Airtel DTH connection from Vriti Infocom Pvt. Ltd. ( B-70, Sector-63, NOIDA - 201307 (UP) Tel:[protected], Fax:[protected] [protected]@vriti.com Web: www.vriti.com )
Set Top Box got installed at my place on 3-Aug-2010. but till date it didnt got activated.
Even i talked to Customer Care and all concerned persosn regarding the issue. But i got "No response".
Look like they are not interested in Customer queries at all.
Also, I tried to connect to Vriti Infocomm office but got no response from them.
Best part i have seen in Airtel Service is 'No one is ready to take the responsibility'. Every one is transferring the call to other Department and at last I get the response that It is not the concerned Department.

I have the Cash payment reciept and also I have got my Customer ID but still Customer Care is saying that we cannot log any complaint againt this. Isn't that sound wierd.
Lets Hope if Consumer Forum can help me resolve the issue.

Anyways Guys ...request you all ...Please DO NOT GO FOR AIRTEL DTH at all.
Look like Airtel DTH is just a Fraud and nothing more than that.

I had written earlier on AIRTEL about :
False promise on connection and delay in installation after collecting money in advance.
Not giving ISD connection along even after mentioning in applcation
Not taking request for registering for NDNC

Now also fraudulent activities and false promises continue:
Sending a bill which shows calls even before installation
Not ready to take action even after raising the complaint within the specified TAT.
When asked for escalation putting on long hold of 10-15 minutes and then disconnecting the line.

I had purchased an Airtel Sim card for a consideration of Rs.100/- from a local dealership at Defence Colony, near "C" block market who are operating the dealership services from a shop named "Bombay Chicken". In this regard, i have submitted all the requisite documents i.e., duly filled up enrollment form, a passport size photograph and my ID proof. A man named Neelu, who is dealing with...

Actually I have internet problem (Restarting of net connection very frequently) in my home for past 4 months, and during these 4 months I have given more than 15 complaints to Airtel customer services regarding net and phone problem. Airtel Lineman usually comes to home and they just fix the fault temporarily. They said ‘The problem is with internal wiring and so fixing a splitter temporarily won’t create problem for six months”. OMG… It won’t sustain more than a week, sometimes not more than an hour. Do you know how irritating it will be when your net connections cut off when you have an important work? They said the same answer all the times, so I finally decided to give an alternate wiring. I think I had given 5 final complaints in which they promised that the problem will not occur again. But again……. I face the worst service from Airtel. They just give the connection as if they were providing free services (Kindly find the attached image Worstwiring.jpeg). They have given alternate wiring a week ago by spoiling my home. Do you know what happens then? I am still sitting before the system to see the rarely linking internet connection and am totally irritated now. I don’t know yet how many more complaints do I have to give Airtel customer services to fix this problem

my cousin recently purchased a new Airtel number and had mentioned y name in the alternate number section, i am now getting minimum 15 calls a day from the number [protected] starting from 8 o clock in the morning since August 13 2010 i gave my cousin's alternate number almost every time someone called me asking for her

Finally frustrated from this i told one of the guy that i am going to complain this to the authorities for you are calling me and harrasing me for the fact. for which the guy in a very cold manner told me" sure! go ahead and do whatever you want to" i was shocked to get a response like this from a customer care. not only that i have now presently received 3 calls again after this happened asking for my cousin.

i am now clearly not going to take this matter lightly and i have just submitted my grievance here.

i made call to customer care regarding the complaint they told problem will be resolved with in 24 hours, i again made a call after the given time, but answer was the same, now i am making call to customer care my call is not been answered they might be given my call in black list, Sir i cannot change my service b'coz i am using since 9years the same number i am in a great difficulty plz resolve my problem

I have opted for Airtel Tandline under a special scheme for "Suncity Society " of ZERO monthly rental and free usage as intercom ,I have paid Rs 1000/- as deposit for getting this phone.

Now i am getting bills every month from Airtel of only monthly charges , as i am not using the landline for other purposes .

Hello Team,

I have noticed this advertisement on the raod and called hari prasad [ hari.[protected]@airtel.in ]enquired for an airtel broad band connection. He came over and made me fill the application orm and requested me to send an scanned company id to his official mai ID which i did and you can see it below. I have paid around 250 to hari prasad regarding my airtel broadband connection which he promised to give me a connection on 6th of august. He did not give me a receipt and also after many calls and requests he never gave me a connection and stop responding. Its been more than 7 - 8 days but he is absconding.

I have also contacted the airtel broadband customer helpline and lodged a complaint with them reference number#36309304 but the complaint was lodged but no action was taken for the past three days. After many many calls and requests no action or an update has been taken on this issue.

I am very disappointed to choose airtel broadband and would like to get this issue resolved or get it escalated to the higest level

We have taken Airtel Lease line of Mbps @ our okhla & noida branch.........it's worst services that i have seen ...before that i am runing with TATA-VSNl lease line of 4 Mbps i am very much satisfied with TATA services ...but Airtel guy given me some cheep rates & phone line connection .....it's my biggest fault i have trusted Airtel.....now they are not refunding my money & i am suffering from busniess loose too.....

my airtelmobile no.is [protected], without my knowledge airtel talkies service is deducting Rs.30 per month &airtellive is deducting Rs.10 for celegossip every week. I want all these services deactivated immediately. I have sent sms but with no effect. I have also spoken to the customer care service but there is no result so far. If my complaint is not attended to at the earliest ,i will have to take strict action.

SIR, I am faceing problem with my cell No.[protected] of Airtel since 14.7.2010. I have talked with Airtel care center at Nagpur to check the problem o[censored]nable to send the message. They have tried to solove this by changeing Sim to diffrent Cell Phone but failed to send. Finally the made a complain No.[protected] dated 16.8.2010.
But till date no solution to my problem at present I am in Bhiwadi (Rajasthan) and leaveing for Nagur on 21.8.2010.

I Ram Chintamani.Mobile number [protected] . I have taken this connection from AIRTEL.
I am facing one problem every 2/3 days that automatically my Airtel TV service activated by operator and all balance is deducted through my balance.When I make a complaint customercare they reverse it again.But after 2/3 days again it happens.For calling to customer care,AIRTEL charges to me.
One of the compaint on 25th July at 12.04PM they reply as
" Thank you for contacting Airtel. Your request reference number is [protected]. Simplify Life! Just Dial *121# to get instant account information."
Like this I made many complaints.And again they are doing same things again and again
Pl inform to proper department.At this time I don't require TV facility

For past many days, i have been receiving messages from airtel live and they are deducting Rs. 10/ for some stardust subscription charges, which have not been required and subscribed by me ever.

It is strongly requested to disconnect all such un-necessary services from this account and stop deducting any money otherwise strong actions will be taken against this. It is unfair to adopt any such means to deduct money from any number like this.

Kindly unsubscribe my phone number ([protected]) from any such package or service.

I am fed up of calling Airtel and explaining to them that i no longer need your service. I don't know what to to terminate the service other than calling them. My broadband number was [protected].

Airtel gave me assurance that the service is terminated however for some strange reason they keep sending me bills. Ok, now the history, i called Airtel and requested to transfer my line to the new address X-XXX, Evening Glory. on i guess 4th of June however i got a reply from them that it is not possible to transfer as they have coverage there. If i remember correctly the line was disconnected at around 8th of June.Airtel send me a partial bill of Rs 1300 approximately (usual is approx 1800) and I paid it. I moved out of XXXX, Panch Smruti on 20th of June. I have a signed document from my landlord which states the end of lease on 20th of June.

Airtel on the other hand decided to keep sending me bills. Now i have gotten a bill from the end of June to the end of July. I called Airtel a week or so back explaining to you that i was not living in the said address (XXX Panch Smruti) or availed any of their services during that period. You said you will take care of it however nothing has been done until now.

There are 100's of witnesses and documentary evidence that i left the building including the partial bill of Airtel (Rs 1300).

I still get calls from Airtel asking if i want to upgrade my service. Airtel is doing this because i was a customer who paid his bills on time? I am forced to go to consumers court as i am getting reminder mails for payment.

I will wait for 2-3 days for you to respond and then will seek justice with the authorities. I will ensure that Airtel does not harass another tax payer of this country.

Myself is Rajkumar solanki, I am an Ex-servicemen From Indian Air Force, i had using your Airtel Prepaid service since last 2 years.... My Airtel Sim i lost somewhere in harayana on date 25/7/2010. My no was [protected], and my last recharge was of Rs 98 for mobile internet use. I called your Customer care center on 26/7/2010 Between 8:30 pm to 10pm with another no [protected] and told them to block my sim card, they refused to block my Sim card, and said that there are not sufficient information to proceed. My last dialled no was [protected].The no is still in use somewhere as i called on that with different no. Please take sum action regarding this as it may cause difficulties for me. I have booked for Airtel digital TV connection on 10th Jul 2010 through IVR payment. But I didnt get any reference or customer id at that time. It was told by customer care executive that I will get a SMS but i didnt get any. Later I have been calling the customer care for further updates, surprising I came to know that there was no update of my payment in systems.

Later I received mail mentioning kit detail. Further with a hope and expecting a better customer service, again called the customer care by refering the kit details for giving me a connection. They gave me customer id and installation order on 29th Jul 2010 and they gave me false ommitments that I will get the connection by 31st Jul 2010. But I didnt get connection yet.

Its really ridiculous that how can a top company like Airtel will have a system where no one knows about my payment and there is no track of the status. I am really surprised how this company works.

After complete dissaticfaction and annoyed with customer service I writing this. I hope this mail reaches the concerned people in the company and management and I will get either connection or refund of amount paid Rs.1550/-.
