i discontinue my landline
The phone is not working since last 10 days after so many complain the promises are airtel will revert back to user in 24 hours and the company always promise that the matter will be solved in 48 working hours but unfortunatly no body is there to solve the problem the last refrence number form company is 7197188 when i called there helpline number 41612345 and had talk to Mr. Rajkumar the reply was my phone is deactivated due to some technical reason. Now i shall ask them why do we pay if we not get the service and loose business

My Airtel Landline number is [protected]. This phone number has shifted arbitrarily to another address without my knowledge/request. My complaint is pending for the last ten days. No response has come from any executive or nodal officer or appelate officer as stated in the company policy.

I do not know what to do now. I am very disappointed with the customer care sercvices of the Airtel

Dear Sir,

I purchased one airtel cardless phone in the month of May-June 2008 @ Rs.2, 490/- under a scheme where in I was given a free cardless phone, free talk time of Rs.2, 000/- and two years validity period when I was residing in RK Puram Sector-4. On June 7th, 2008 we shifted we shifted to 86, IP Extension, Patpar ganj, Delhi . Surprisingly, it stopped working from the middle of June 2008. I made so many complaints over their customer service, who in turn have given some other numbers and I even went to their offices in Karol Bagh terminal, Nehru Place, Shakar Pur, (went to Vasant Vihar, but was shifted to some other place) and Gurgaon Big Bazar. Some have told that the sim card is not working and some said necessary documents were not there. I was ready to submit the necessary documents, but in vain. Till date my phone was not rectified.

Where I have to go? I am a senior citizer of above 60 years. Rs.2000 was my hard earned money and Airtel people are harassing me. I am planning to go to Telecom Regulatory Authority or Consumer Court or even Judiciary to give me justice.

I am once again requesting to rectify my problem by calling me on [protected] or face the music, for which they will be responsible.

    Dear All,
    I am TVN TEJASWI holding a airtel
    connection([protected]) from last 4 years with the below mentioned as billing
    address
    Do.no. 43-3-47/10, flat no S-2 , Bobby Enclave, Railway new colony,
    Visakhapatnam,
    Andhra pradesh, Pin- 530016.

    Today I am here to you regarding the bills not being handed over to us from
    past 3 months and we came to know that these bills were given to some 3rd party
    with a forgery signature. regarding this we have been spoken to airtel customer
    care services 121 hundreds of times but there was no response on this matter.
    DETAILS:

    1. From may 1st to june 1st our we were out of station, and on may 21th we came
    to know that our may month bill has been handed over to some third person named
    (KOMALI)on 11th may as per the statement of CCS of airtel where as we don't
    have any person named as above in our apartment.
    And as per the words of our watchman he din't receive any
    letter.
    And the same thing has been informed to visakhapatnam manikantha Courier
    incharge Mr. satyanarayana and asked him for clarification but he was being
    very rude with us no reply from him.
    COMPLAINT NUMBER FOR THIS IS 32375157.


    2. Up on complaining airtel CCS has informed us that they had send a duplicate
    bill on 25th and the same was received by watchman's wife named (BANGARI),
    where as her name is not the same what you have mentioned and that was also we
    did not received.
    COMPLAINT NUMBER FOR THIS IS 32773241.

    3. And on june 5th we found 6 duplicate copies of the bill in our letter box
    that to delivered from the POSTAL DEPARTMENT .

    4. And on june 15th up on asking for the bill (dates of 5th may to 4th june)
    to one old courier boy from manikantha services he has stated that our bill is
    not with him, after that we had called to CC for the clarification on 18th we
    came to know that the bill has been delivered to ONE OF THE FAMILY MUMBER but
    where as we din't receive any letter.
    and for us CC informed that they are dispatching a
    duplicate bill on 18th itself and we will receive the same by 25th.
    And on 23rd june 2010 Mr.satyanarayana courier services came with a
    original bill and with a small slip for acknowledge signature and upon asking
    for the data sheet he responded in a very rude manner that this is the only
    data sheet we have to sign on this. And we asked for the duplicate bill he
    refuse to handover.

    5. And on june 18th we have placed a request to stop ITEMIZED AND PAPER BILL
    from this month onwards and send to EBILL. and the same request has
    been registered from june 20th to july 24th.
    For which we have received the message that our request has been registered.

    6. AND this month on ie; july 30th means bill dating (june 5th to july4th) we
    have received a DUPLICATE BILL that to not through Courier but with
    a GOVERNMENT POST STAMP with ITEMIZED BILL dropped in my letter box.
    And on 30th july we have called to 121 and 126 for the clarification
    as per their statement airtel CC has not sent any type of BILL , So now we
    require clarification for all the above.

    NOTE: As per our observation there is a problem with airtel Customer Care team
    who are not responding properly for any issues and regarding bills are being
    handed over to some third party at our Residence.
    Is there any any problem with airtel or with courier.
    And these type of Malpractice had started between 22th may to 30th may means
    the executives on duty on these dates.

    For all the above we require clear details in written and I want a courier
    person to come to my residence and clarify the problem that to whom he has
    submitted and copy of third party duplicate signature.
    I hope the above said problem to be solved as early as possible for a good
    and smooth relation between us.
    Hoping a wise solution for this with full clarity.

      I purchased Airtel's trial offer for 3 months, in last week of June. After that an engineer surveyed the area around my home to fix the dish. Due to some problem with my neighbors, we were not allowed to fix the dish on the roof. As there were no other place to fix the dish, i requested for disconnection of the service. This was done in the last week of June/first week of july.

      Till now, i haven't received the amount back in my account from Airtel. I have made numerous calls to Airtel's customer care and talked to supervisor Neha Jain who told me that she's sent an email to nodal office to settle the charges and gave me this email address and a phone number of some Mr.Daya Krishna[protected]. The number seems to out-of-order.

      IT'S MORE THAN A MONTH NOW SINCE I DISCONNECTED THE CONNECTION AND I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK.

        I am a customer of Air tel prepaid service. My outgoing call has been barred since last one week.i submitted my documents again but my service has not been resumed yet.
        i called to customer care many a times but didn't get the positive result.i am facing problem.i had not expected such poor service by Air Tel....

First i dont get a bill for 3 months, whatever amount is mentioned by the call centre executives was paid by me. this month when i made a payment of Rs.850 after two days i get a bill of Rs.1400 (due date being 15th oct) . then my line is barred on 11th oct, now the call centre executives are horrible in their approach. pathetic. I am using Airtel since 7 years and this is the limit of my dissatisfaction. Dont want the number anymore

        My outgoing was barred due to my usage exceeding by credit limit while i was in roaming in mumbai on 13/03/09 of Rs 3000 for my mob.no [protected] where my bill was only around 2300 Rs at Nirav Enterprise, Malad(w) Mumbai, after subsequent complains and after undergoing mental harrasment at last my outgoing was released.On 16/03/09 again my outgoing was barred, when i called up the customer care they said that it was barred because my payment is still not posted and since i have made the payment at an Airtel gallery it is Airtel's responsibility to see the payment is updated and not mine, i was again asked to make a payment of 2000 Rs to get my outgoing activated immediately.Would you suggest me how to take this forward because i have been loosing a lot since i am into bussines and can not work out with a mobile connection without outgoing facilities.

          I am not sure if this is an authorised forum to discuss and what are the impact and response I can expect. I am using Airtel blackbery service. I got my account deducted by Rs 899 for the month of July-Aug. But after 10 days of service it got deactivated and it is 6 days since I am calling up customer care support for help but this is not getting resolved and they giving bogus time frames and reasons. It seems since the service provider is physically persence is not there and the complaints are raised through phone it is not at all getting resolved and hoing unheard. I am reaching out for justice. Appreciate if you could help me with resolution to this concern and do not allow service providers to take consumers for granted and the consumer rights are protected.

              I requested Airtel customer care to shift connection from New Gupta Colony to Model Town on 26th July they said it will be done in 3 days, but they don't do that...every time they say it will shifted today by evening...In evening they say wait for tomorrow...shifting will be done...and nothing happen again...

              I am waiting for a while than i will go for consumer forum in ashok vihar to file case against him...


              All are cheater giving wrong commitment, the executive don't know either gossip and giving wrong commitment..

              To complain our fault, we traced office bearers several time, but always office at Ramte Ram Road near Nav Durgey Sanitory found locked.in spite of repeated telephonic discussions with J.En nobody turned up to repair the complain.

                My Bharti mobile connection (91-11-[protected]) in name of Ami Kapur is as old as approximately 7 years. Upon my request to convert the connection from post paid to prepaid, I was asked to re-submit the KYC documents and in absence of same the account was deactivated for 48 hours.

                The concern here are as follows:
                1) why should the two division within Bharti not corrdinate within to complete their KYC records
                2) Even if re-submission was necessary to support service provider as big as Bharti, why should it take 48 hrs from recipt of resubmitted cos to reactivate the deactivated connection.

                Trust anyone would appreciate with incrasing financial dependency on technology and communication, the break of of 48 hrs can cause considerably adverse financial impact on the consurmer and indifference of company's staff towards same is very disappointing - specially from a company of repute like Bharti Airtel Limited.

                  Mera balance 30 rupye kat liliye or kahate hai ki aapka balance hello tune pe katta hai jab mai apna number postpaid se prepaid karwa raha tha to 6 day tak mera number band tha or sat hi hello tune bhi band tha tab maine koi bhi paisa nahi manga or 1 day over ho jane pe airtel wale ne mere amount me se 30 rupya kat liye

                    I didn’t expect these kind of things from such a big firm.
                    I don't know which link i clicked or visited for that i got 2 to 3 times messages that "You have been renewed for GamesClub subscription service. you have been charged Rs.99". like this in the month of July total of 500 amount got debited which is totally ridiculous. Upon calling they told that you have downloaded these games but i don't understand how can someone download games in just 1-2 seconds, they even told me to be careful to click on any link which again doesn't make any sense. Once they told me that we can send you the games which shows that they are forcefully giving services. They are doing terrible marketing.
                    Now recently i.e. on 31st July i got a message "You have been renewed for bloomberg subscription service. you have been charged Rs.3"
                    I had a very bad time with them, this time they kept me waiting for more than 5 mins and the call was being charged.

                      I had purchased a new airtel simcard from Airtel customer care centre, Chakala, Mumbai on Thursday, 29 July 2010. They told me it would be active by friday, 30 July 2010. However, today its Monday 02 August, 2010 and it is still not active. I have tried to call customer care and the representative there. However, there is no information available with the customer care.
                      Personal trips to this shop is difficult as this area is under a flyover construction and has constant traffic jams.

                      AirTel — Delay in activating SIM card

                      Hi,

                      I have taken new airtel postpaid connection on 16-05-08, as per the agent the sim card was supposed to be activated by very next day but due to server problem it was not done...on 19-05-08 i checked with the airtel customer service and they said that sim has been activated and it is not in my name where as i have taken sim card with my name and paid the security deposit along with necessary documents but i do not understand where the things went wrong!!! and ironically the sim card stills shows in deactivated status in my mobile!!

                      The agent who was in touch with me till i paid the amount is not traceable for me and he is intentionally not picking the call. Airtel customercare executive took the complaint and said that it would be resolved in 7 working days! How unfair it is for airtel to make such a mistakes from their side and run the business at the cost of consumer!!

                      I am completely distressed with this since i have taken new sim card with a need and the effort went in vain at others negligence.

                      Can anybody suggest me, how i could go ahed with this issue? Airtel is paying crores of rupees to ambassadors at the cost of customers and not able to provide basic service to them.

                      I wonder why it's taking long time to reactivate my new airtel number [protected], although I have already submitted my original documents in Darjeeling a week ago and am waiting for airtel's verification.

                          Since I lost my mobile, I got a duplicated SIM card on Saturday, 31st July 2010. I had been told that the SIM card will be activated in 4 hours time.

                          Today, its 2nd August 2010 and its still not be activated. I visited the Airtel Shop couple of times in Vidyaranyapura. When ever I go there, they said the same thing. It will be activated in 2 hours.

                          Also, I tried calling the customer care number from another post paid connection on [protected], the representatvie tells it will be activated in 4 hours but, no change happened till now.

                          I am very frustrated with Airtel's customer service. I am missing so many important calls.

                          Now its almost 2 days still the connection is not been activated. Within these 2 days i have called many times to airtel customer care 121,service provider and each time i get a different reply.

                          One says that the documents are not submitted other says we are working on it and other says that there is a problem with airtel system

                            I am Prabha Khimsura residing in Chennai. I am writing to you today in regards to what has happened to me in the name of Airtel. I got an sms on my mobile on 26/07/2010, stating that my mobile number has won an Airtel Dish TV settop box and a DVD player and asking me to log on to www.airteldigitaldish.com and register my name and address. Once I had done that, I received another sms the next day confirming my registration and asking me to login again before 12.30 p.m. When I did, I was asked to deposit Rs. 440 in Punjab National Bank with the account holder's name as Mr. Swapan Das, Senior Executive From Mumbai, along with his account number [protected], and to fax the receipt to this number[protected]. It also said that once I fax them the copy of the receipt one representative will contact me within 4 hours and that my gift will be delivered at my door step with no extra cost on 29/07/2010. I had done things as instructed, but no one has called me yet with regards to the gift. I also tried to log on to the site but it seems to have been suspended or blocked now.

                            I am really shocked to realize that I have been cheated. I would like to ask you if this whole thing was indeed related to Airtel India, that for publicity they are doing such things or its someone else who is doing such things in the name of Airtel???? In both cases your company loses the credibility it has. It concerns me as how easily people get cheated..

                            Please look into this matter and take action against the wrongdoers. I also would like you to inform people about such fraudulent things happening and if possible please do add this in the commercials so that the public is aware and no one else is cheated. I would like to hear from you regarding what action has been taken against the fraudsters.

                              Sir i would like to bring to your notice the gross misconduct and apathy of your staff at the Airtel Office, Near Ambala Club., Rai Market, Ambala Cantt., Ambala.
                              Sir we are running a project of Haryana State Aids Control Organisation in District Ambala working with drug addicts towards the prevention of spread of HIV and AIDS. We had approached you said office on the 14th of July 2010 for getting a landline and broadband connection. We were asked to pay a sum of Rs. 1000/ towards security for the same and fill in the necessary documents. We did so and we were assured that the connection would be installed inn 2-3 days. With this assurance we left the centre.
                              After 3 days we approaced your office your office and were told that due to the floods in Ambala a technical snag had occured and it would take another 2-3 days to rectify. We then visited you office again on the 21st of July 2010 and we told that still the problem would take a couple of days. We the requested Ms. Ruchika ([protected]) that we were waiting to get our Information material printed and required the landline number to be printed before for the conveinience of all the clients/patients. We were given the number as[protected] and assured that the connection would be made available to us in a couple of days.
                              We then went ahead and got our information material printed and displayed the above mentioned number in all our pamphlets which are more that 13,000 in number and cost Rs. 10,000/ (Copy of bill attached).
                              Subsequently we have been now told by Ms. Pooja ([protected]) and Ms, Ruchika that it is not possible to give us a land line connection and that they cannot do anything about it.
                              Sir, it is rather unfortunate that we have to go through such mental torture and our now in possession of over 13,000 pamphlets with the incorrect telephone number printed on it. Sir i would certainly appreciate if you could take up the matter with your staff and ensure that the connection in made available to us, or else give us a refund for the entire amount spent on the pamphlets, failing which we will be forced to go to the consumer court with our grevience.

                                I have registered Airtel DND - Do Not Disturb Service on 30th May 2010 and my registration number is I[protected]. I was told that it will be activated within 45days. First question is why should they keep disturbing for 45days by their advertising recorded phone calls and service and Airtel Blog SMSes ?

                                I co-operated and waited till 45 days, but they didnt stop calling me twice or thrice a day for their advertising and 4-5 smses. I finally called up Customer Service Executive, which charges 50paise for 3mins, it has to be free of cost. They told my AirTel DND service has been activated since 14th July 2010. But still they will take my complaint. After this also the advertising calls and smses didn't stop. Finally I talked to Sachin, a Customer Care Executive from Airtel on24th July 2010 at 12:22PM, this call costs me 2Rs, means I talkd with him for 4mins. He told that it will stop from next day. But it didnt stop.

                                I recieved an SMS From AZ-Service, on 29th July 2010, at 2:23 PM, saying We have resolved your complaint number[protected]. But it has not been resoled and I a getting regular advertising calls from AirTel. I recieve regular calls from+91-[protected], twice or thrice a day, minimutwice they call me. I am fedup of this AIRTEL service.

                                This type of advertising calls and smses sucks a lot I dont have time to entertain such calls. I am Research Fellow at IIT Bombay, and I have lots o[censored]nkown people calling me, so many times when I recieve a call is an AIRTEL's advertise. And to write such a big complaints has taken lot of time from my schedule unnecessarily. Also every time I call Customer Care Executive, they waste my time by asking irrelevant questions like what was the subject of SMS or what advertisement that call had. I reject the call soon i hear a recorded voice, I dont have time to listen to your topic of ADVERTISEMENT. ALSO THEY ASK WHO CALLED YOU WHICH NUMBER, WHAT NUMBER YOU GOT SMS? IDEOTS CANT YOU SEE THE RECORDS ON YOUR COMPUTER, WHEN I SAY MY NUMBER?? WHY WASTING MY TIME??

                                I DONT KNOW WETHER MY EFFORTS IN THIS WEBSITE WILL SERVE MY PURPOSE AND STOP THIS CALLS. BUT AIRTEL SERVICES SUCKS A LOT AND THEY ARE MORE ADVERTISEMENT ORIENTED THAN SERVING THE PURPOSE OF COMMUNICATION.

Each time I complain to them their customer care executives say that my DND is activated but i am receiving promotional calls as well asSMSes everyday.The biggest offender is airtel itself.                                   Subject: Why one should use your service.


                                  This is to inform you that I have recently purchase a new airtel postpaid connection from Initiative Data add-9-D, Shringar Nagar (Adj Avadh Hospital), Alambagh Lucknow. At that time I have submitted proof of my photo ID (PAN Card) and Address (photocopy of electricity bill) along with one photo with that form. Inspite of submitting all the necessary documents my outgoing calls have been barred without giving any prior information that too on Saturday so that I have to wait till Monday to resume my service. Don't you think this is crime to make person phone less in this Information era.

                                  My phone has been barred on Saturday evening without any prior notice, I came to know when I have to make a urgent call. Than only I came to know you fool you have been cheated by Airtel.

                                  The customer care people say your phone has been barred due to address verification. Now there is my question, if my address proof was wrong than why they have provided me the connection and the staff you have appointed over there are not costumer friendly. Instead of doing customer assistance they all are involved in gossips and jokes among them self.

                                  If the person is doing address verification was unable to find the address, should have been contacted on my number. Instead of doing this, I have received a call from airtel on 29 Jul 2010 asking that please give me you electricity bill no. I have told that the bill is not with me please call me after 10 min I will let you know but I didn't receive any call further. and outgoing calls have been barred on 31 Jul 2010. Since than I have to go to the PCO to make a call and force to beg others phone in emergency situation.

                                  What if I face a life threatening situation and i wont able to make a life saving phone call.




                                  Please give me the clarification for barring my outgoing calls without giving me prior intimation.

                                        This is my first experience with your DTH service and worst experience for me as a customer with any of the organisation. I applied for DTH service 5 days ago. At that point in time sales people were very nice. But person who was supposed to come in a day to collect that money came 2 days late. Then i was told that installation will be done in 48 hours. Its being more than 50 hours noone came to my place. When tried to confirm the status with same people in Mumbai call canter people were very rude. Were not even ready to give me their names. My calls have been disconnected 5 times i am trying the same number [protected] sine 10.30 am. Two of them gave me their names Nikhad a girl and a boy donot remember his name. When i said i want to talk to any supervisor. They said no manager is available and they disconnected the call. One person talked to me as a supervisor after conversation he said he is an agent an cannot transfer the call to supervisor. All people were rude, unprofessional and had casual behavior. everyone of them advise me that i will receive a call in half an hour but didnot receive any call. i am totally fed up and have spent more than 100 Rs on phone calls to them. the i got another number of Noida center. executive named Sonia tried to help me and provided me a number 12148 saying they donot have any record for Rs 999 plan. When i talked to executive on this number. Again my calls got disconnected twice around 12.30pm after introduction. Then associate advised that i will receive a call n two hours and by the end of the day it will get installed. I have not even started the service and this is the treatment i have been given. Please provide me solution. Now the only option left to me is that i should go to consumer forum with Payment receipt and call details and should ask for all calls recordings from your end.

                                        I can bet that Airtel Digital TV customer service is the WORST among all other service providers.
                                        I have applied for an Airtel Digital TV and still have not got installed it and just waiting for them as with AIRTEL Customer is not the King he is the Slave. And despite repeated confirmation from the Airtel Customer Support, the same digital TV has still not been installed.

                                        The other side, the Customer care number is always busy and the person Mr. Jeteen ( The one in Airtel Stores in Malviya Nagar ) with whom i have bought up the Airtel DIGI TV has now switched off his cell phone and no one in the Store is answering the same.

                                        I Request you all people to avoid using airtel services for a peaceful life

                                        My Airtel Digital TV customer id:[protected]. I have requested for shifting for connection on 5th July in a same apartment but different building. I have paid 600rs and shifting has been done on 6th July. I have started requesting for change of package from 7th July till 21st August. They told me to stay in particular channel for 45 minutes. I did whatever they said. Finally they said the request for shifting was not closed, because of that they were not able to change the package.After my continuous calls to airtel after one month, On 15th August they have raised an request for solving the issue request no:937086. Without solving the issue they closed the case on 17th August.
                                        After contacting them numerous time again they created another request :954147 on 20th promising it will be resolved with in 24 hours. when contacted after 24 hours they have created another request 957757 on 21st. And the same night around 8'0clock they have disconnected the whole connection. And the customer service person said just keep the channel 999 on for 45 min and the service will work again. I did the same again, nothing happened.then I contacted CC again, they said that they have updated the case and the service will be working from 22nd 12:00pm onwards. But that didnt happened. so contacted the CC and the representative put me on Hold for 59:minutes 37 seconds, finally I have disconnected and contacted again. the another representative connected me to some senior manager, she promised me before 7:00 pm on the same day my service will be activated. and on the evening 7:30 nothing happened and I received message that my service was deactivated due negative balance, since I had 390.50 rs on my account. Then Another person from Delhi called me and introduced himself from HR? Department and promised me my service will be activated within 24 hours. Now it is Monday 24th August Nothing happened.

                                        i am advising everyone. AIRTEL IS THE WORST OF ALL SERVICE PROVIDER. I have been a airtel customer for last 7 year. I am so ashamed to have gone for this connection. NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE I AM GOING TO SUGGEST ANYONE FOR AIRTEL, ESPECIALLY FOR DIGITAL TV. EVEN THOUGH IT IS FREE

                                        This is by far the worst customer service department I have seen in any company. I have had to speak them several times or attempt to speak to them for many issues in the past 8 months. It seems like they are a very poor standard company who are interested only in selling the product.

                                        I am going to throw it away and buy another DTH product from a reliable brand. I am also going to throw away my sim card from airtel. I regret for making a poor decision before and will never engage with Airtel or associated companies anymore. I am going to tell all the people I know about my bad experiences and stop them from buying anything from airtel.

                                        I hope you all feel the same. Let's boycott the company which doesn't have any business ethics.
                                        Worst customer service/ please do not opt this even if you get at free of cost

                                        I have taken AIRTEL DIGITAL TV (biggest mistake I believe).
                                        I have taken the Economy package (1750/- initially and 200/- per month).
                                        I have paid 1750/- on 2nd may to the distributor and asked them to do the installation as soon as possible.
                                        3rd May afternoon at around 1-30 PM AIRTEL engineer came and installed the equipments’.
                                        After that i checked in the evening that i am not getting the channels. I called up AIRTEL DIGITAL TV customer care and they told me there are some technical issues and the problem will be resolved within 1 hour.
                                        I waited for 1.5 hours and called up again when saw that the problem is not yet resolved.
                                        They said 'Tomorrow morning you problem will be solved for sure'.
                                        Next day morning i.e. 4th May evening i checked and saw there are no channels again.
                                        I called up Customer care again. That person told me 'Your problem will be solved by tomorrow morning for sure.'
                                        Nothing happened next day also.
                                        I asked them to raise a service request on my behalf. That person said he is not able to raise a service request as there is some problem in server.
                                        I called up 3 times on 6th May. First time they said it will be solved within 1 hour. 2nd time they said within 30 mins it will be resolved. Third time they said it will be solved by tomorrow morning for sure.
                                        Nothing happened next day morning also. I called up again and they said it will be solved by next day evening 5-30 PM (8th May). Nothing happened.
                                        I called up customer care again they said it will be solved next day by 5-30 PM. Means 9th May.
                                        One of there so called engineer called me at around 4 PM. He came to my home with his so called assistant. That so called engineer again called up someone and said that my STB is not functional.

                                        He told me that he will be back within 30 mins and left my home at around 5 PM. All these happened on 9th May.
                                        Today its 10th May. Till now that so called engineer's 30 mins are not over.



                                        "Now I feel, choosing AIRTEL DTH is the biggest mistake I have done.
                                        These AIRTEL people don’t know anything once they get the money. "Customer can go to hell. We have the money now" - that’s what is there thinking i believe.
                                        I am really feeling I have been harassed by these AIRTEL people.
                                        Not sure how can they still be there in the market. They are the worst DTH provider i have ever seen."

                                        I had raised a complaint today morning that there was a blip on the set box box and the TV was flickering due to this and service request number is 4879587
                                        First of all I had to make 2 three calls to get to them @ 12150 . The the customer service executive tried helping me out to no avail . Seemed as if they were reading through teh FAQS rather than listenfing to my concern

                                        However she informed that they will send an engineer and that it is a paid service and that they will charge rs 100 to which I said no

                                        After 4 hours , an engineer came to my home(Don't know his name) and by mere looking at teh set top box said that this needs to be replaced and the charge will be rs 500 extra apart from rs 100 of visit charges

                                        He said the teh box was installed on 7th Dec and hence it is out of warranty by some 17 days and he cannto do anything

                                        I called customer service again . To my utter dismay first executive names Anand listerned to it . May be he did nto comprehend english and hence he hung up on me

                                        Second time a decent lady took the call and kept on repeating that you can send an email to [protected]@airteltv.in and that they cant do anything I asked her that why should I pay a second time if I have already paid 2500 for my set top box and since we use it through remote this is their fault . that ways we will only be paying rs 500 each year .
                                        On asking that if I may be allowed to speak to some supervisor rather than sending an email so that I can get a resolution I was told that they will also give the same information

                                        ALL I CAN SAY IS BEWARE OF AIRTEL DIGITAL TV . I AM GOING TO CHANGE MY TV SERVICE TO TATA FOR SURE . NOW WITH THIS AT LEAST MY HOUSEHOLD WILL TREAD TO THINK ON AIRTEL

                                        I PURCHSED AIRTEL DIGITAL TVONLINE. THE INSTALLATION HAPPENED 2 DAYS AFTER AND THAT TOO INCOMPLETE. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE INSTALLTION TO BE COMPLETED. THE ENGINNER EVEN DISABLED MY TATA SKY INSTALLATION.

                                        EVEN THE NUMBER OF THE SERVICE ENGINEER THAT CAME WAS INVALID.

                                        I am Pavan Kumarv Tangar, my Airtel digital tv account: [protected] and i have complaint about my Airtel TV is not properly working. My request reference no. is 5756254. when i talk customer care he told me that a engineer will come to my home till last 3:30 PM but he will not come when i again call to customer care they provide a mobile no. ([protected]) but when I call this no. it continuously engaged about 2 hours finally he attend the phone when as I start to talk the engineer, the phone will be disconnected by him and again he has engaged.
                                        I am highly dissatisfy your sevice there is no response till know.
                                        Airtel has to be the worst provider of services especially for the Digital TV. I have made a complaint 14 days ago during peak of ICC world cup. The airtel call center/customer services is the most dificult to get through. One has to make complaints between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM else, the calls keep getting cut.

                                        On getting through, they give you a service number and say they will have the problem fixed in a day. No calls for 4 days. After repeated attempted, i get through to the customer service center. I get another service number and was promised that my problems with the receiver would be fixed. Then after 2 days, i get a call from the service personnel. I stated that my box is not working and he says that they have to get a new box and they don't have any in stock and it would take a couple of days. waited patiently for more days.

                                        Finally, I get the someone to replace the box. They says it would cost Rs.300 to change the box which i even agreed to pay. The box is fixed and the person says it takes 2 hours to activate. he then charges me Rs.100 as service charges (which was very strange). I did pay as the promise of watching the ICC world cup was overwhelming. The i get a error message (error code - 14), stating that the view card does not match the set top box. The service person stated that the i would start receiving the signals in 2 hours and left with the Rs.100.

                                        The issue still has not been resolved (29th of March). I tried calling the service person several times but cannot reach them. The number given was [protected] (John) has to be the worst service agent.

                                        Now, i'm thinking of canceling aitel dth and getting a tata sky even though i recharged my account in Feb 2011 (balance 3400+). I feel bad that i had recommended airtel to a lot of people.

                                        Your Distributor is fake. service given by them is bad.
                                        main ne 180 ka recharge karwa to apka distributor 10 rupees extra charge karta hai or 170 ka hi recharge kerta hai .or puchhane per ke 10 rupees kyo charge karte ho to kahta hai ye hum charge ker rahe hai company nahi.or jab mene pucha ke aap extra charge kyo ker rahe ho to bolta hai company se bat karo or fir bolta hai ke 10 rupees ke liye company aapki bat nahi sunegi...

                                        I think in that area sirf ye distributor hi recharge karta hai to hum or kahi recharge bhi nahi karwa sakte.
                                        so i want to need my problem will be solved becouse bat 10rupees ki nahi chori ki hai jo aapke distributor(company) ke Dwara ki jarhi hai.
                                        if that problems not be solved than i left your service and buy another DTH product from a reliable brand and I am going to tell all the people I know about my bad experiences and stop them from buying anything from airtel.

                                        AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Highly unprofessional people / worst service

                                        I bought Airtel DTH on 28th June. They told me that it'll be installed on the next day. I called all possible phone numbers and after making almost 20 calls, they did installation on 2nd July. The installation did not work but the guy left saying that it'd work in 20 min. Of course it did not work. After that I called their central number, they said that someone will come by 10 AM, nobody showed up, called again, gave another time 5:30 PM. I'm not sure whether someone will come.

                                        Before that whenever I called them, they would say that the installation will be done tomorrow without even asking for details about me. I have never seen this kind of customer service in my life. When I asked for the number for their higher management, they said they cannot give.

                                        Here are the various phone numbers I called:
                                        [protected]central number, they take complaint everytime, nothing happens, talked to Irfan)
                                        [protected]installation office, always promise engineer will be sent but he won't show up.)
                                        [protected]/58 (these guys sold it to me and then disappeared, they will pick onece if you call them 10 times and then will say that installation will happen tomorrow without taking any details, talked to Sanjay, Aarti, if you try to ask how do you know the details of installation when you don't know my name, they'd put the phone down.

                                        They gave me a complaint number 9607051.
                                        I have Tata Sky and Dish TV also in my house. I have never seen these issues with them at all. Looks like Airtel does not care about their customers.

                                        There was no phone call from airtel for anything. You need to initiate all the calls. Basically you pay the money and they oblige you.

                                        I used Airtel Digital TV(ADTV) from march 2010 and i was quite satisfied with the service and i decided to upgrade to HD DVR by july 2011. I paid through online and the product was installed on 4th july.
                                        After 1 week the picture got shaking in some channels like Discovery, TLC, Jaya Max etc. then i called the distributor who installed the STB and he said the person who replaced the LNB may not fixed correctly. He sent that same person and he said the position of the dish is changed and i need to pay for the visit. But actual problem was with LNB which he didnt fixed in right position. I argued with the distributor and finally paid Rs. 100/-. From 13th august most of the channels went off and shows No Signal B001 error. I again called the distributor and explained the problem and told to send any other person. He promised to send a guy on 16th as 14 and 15 were holiday, but no response from him. Then i called CC and complained the problem they sent request number by SMS and after 1 day i will again receive an SMS as issue resolved. But there was no calls from distributor or service person. I asked to take back the product and refund the money on 21.08.2011, today i received a call from CC and they again told the issue will be attended today. I recorded all the calls made to CC and distributor so i am thinking of to go to consumer court. If no steps are taken against them these people will make us fool.

                                        So friends think before going to buy airtel.
