I had lost my cell phone about 10 days back since then i have been going through horrible customer service from Airtel. I was first not able to block my sim as I had to call airtelprepaid customer service only from a prepaid number which I did not have as I had lost my phone, I had to make 4 calls from my postpaod connection to get the prepaid customer service number and still the issue was not fixed. Then I had to go to the near by Airtel office to block my sim finally I got it blocked.
Then now that I have blocked my sim I had to go to Aitel office 5 times, Everyday they will say sir we do not have the 9845 series duplicate sim issued yet please come tomorrow do I had to go everyday to hear the same story from those . Finally I got my duplicate Sim after about a week and submitted all the necessary documents. Now the lady there at the Airtel customer service outlet in R.T.Nagar said " sir your service will be activated in 4 hours and it was more than 24hrs and it was still not activated. Now calling the customer service is again a problem as my outgoing was barred on my prepaid service. I had call from a landline and waited for an agent and that stupid agent told I have to go to Airtel office again to submit the ID proof which I had already submitted and she did'nt even understand my concern and kept repeating the same thing like a parrot at this point I had lost my patience as she was a dumb who could not identify the problem and I had asked for a supervisor and then I get a supervisor after about 8 minutes and told her my concern she said I will take the request and you outgoing will get activated in 1hr. When the supervisor could do it why could'nt the agent do it. such a ridiculous service. I am fed up of Airtel service the only reason why I am having that sim is because I am using that number from past seven years and I dont like to change my number.

Airtel Telecom Services — unnecessary blocking of sim card

my airtel sim has been blocked since 15 days inspite of submitting the documents twice.
the customer executives are not able to solve my problem and just keep tossing me around to visit the center and are giving lame excuse that the server is down since 10-15 days.
i need to take a strict action against the service provider (AIRTEL).

i lost my phone yesterday n when today morning, along with the copy of the complaint letter i lodged in the nearby police stn, i went to airtel's office to get my sim blocked and i was extremely disappointed at the reply i got from your official.
she replied that the prepaid connections never gets blocked there is only a way n tht is to have a duplicate sim.
may i know how is this possible with airtel only that a customer is unable to block his prepaid sim when all the other service providers are available with the successful blocking facility of their lost sim cards?

I am having an airtel connection bearing number [protected]
which is a prepaid lifetime connection. i am still having that sim card but now this showing invalid after inserting in mobile device, and now this same mobile number is reissue by airtel to any other person who has stolen my identification detail and he is using that number in a wrong way and doing adult massages to my colleagues and relatives who are calling on that number.

I have make the last call on mobile number [protected] and i have done the last and final recharge of Rs 10/- only.And i want to inform you that i am not using this number from 19th-sep-2010 till now.

The number is registered in the name of Mr. ibrahim, resident of H.No.18-7-198/a208/13 talab katta aman nagar-b hyd-500018.And also i am already submitted the documents required for detailed verification at airtel office last week but sim card is still on working I would be very grateful if the simcard is blocked so that no one else can make use of it and i would also like to know the procedure as to obtain a new sim card for the same number.

Kindly do the needful to block that SIM card ([protected]), any one is calling on this number the suspected person ravi swami recieving call every time and he using abuse language on to calling party
i am requesting you to do the complete varification and block that SIM card permanently.

For your information i am telling you he hasn't any relationship with Mr. ibrahim.

Please do the needful.

    I am a customer of Airtel since 2005 and my number was [protected], I used it for 5 years and had been very punctual in all my bill payments. It was in 2010 November that I requested to stop my number but to no avail, so I used it another month and had a bill of Rs 2700 which was late in getting paid because I had shifted to another place. Airtel customer care was after us to get the bill paid, they gave many threatening calls at my number and to the cell numbers I had been frequently calling, i.e my family. So finally we got the bill paid for which a man from Airtel office came to our home to get the money collected and my Dad made him write and sign a paper stating that the number will be closed and handed over the sim to him. After that [protected] was history for us and we had no connection with that number. It was a case closed..!
    Now after some months I start getting the bill details of the same number at my email and the bill ranging from 6,000 one month and within 2-3 months it got over 12,000. When I checked the email(containing the bill of 12,000) on May 27, 2010, I immediately called the Customer Care and informed them that I had been using the number from many years but got it closed some months ago and I am still getting such heavily billed emails, so that means that the number is being misused by someone, and wanted the number to be immediately closed otherwise I don’t bear any responsibility for the same. The customer care boy said Ok the number will be closed as soon as possible. Now I want 5 answers from them.

    1. When Rs 2700 (my last payment) bill was over due, the customer care was calling at my and my family’s number 24/7 to get the payment. As the credit limit was exceeding. So were the Customer care of Airtel sleeping when the bill shoot up till 12000 ???

    2. What is the meaning of Credit Limit ? I still remember my number being temporarily disconnected when I was late in paying Rs 700 bill . So when the number was being misused and even after my informing, How did the bill got so out of control without being disconnected? Does Airtel accept bribes from ingenuine people ?

    3. The Friends and family numbers- I had been using this number from 5 years and Airtel must be having a record of my 5 years’ bills (I have it in case they don’t have it) and Airtel knows the frequent numbers I had been calling all these years… I challenge Airtel to show me even one of the numbers in the bill dated after my closing the number. The person misusing the number has called continuously only on 2 numbers, which never listed in 5 years of my talking from this number. Why doesn’t Airtel call those numbers and inquire about the person calling or get the details of the numbers being called by that number???

    4. Why was the number not closed after repeated requests? First in the month of October I made a request of closing down the number but to no avail then I requested to close the number in November but to no avail, then finally we made the final payment in December and got the number closed from our side. Still WHY was the number still working? So that Airtel people sell it illegally???

    5. Why the harassment? The Customer care of Airtel is so ridiculously disrespectful. The boy who called a senior citizen in my family said to him “Tu ta buzurg aa, koi sharam kar” in Punjabi. Meaning “You are an old man, have some shame”. The Customer care has also misbehaved with one the senior citizen, a lady and we have all the proofs of that too. I say Airtel and that boy should have some shame! They are giving me all the reasons to take them to court.

    6. The Airtel representative who took the last payement from us, gave us in writing that he has taken the sim and will be closing the number, with this and other proofs which will justify my case, I can give a good answer to Airtel. But I wanted the thing to be sorted out peacefully.

    7. The Customer care representative who called us, we have explained all the situation to them, still they call daily and act as if they don’t know anything, which is so very irritating and annoying, they keep calling my friends and family numbers(which I used 9 months ago when I was using the number) and are trying to spoil my reputation, being a girl I can take them to court also on this behalf, so its better they stop spreading their everywhere as soon as possible. Why does Airtel keep such illiterate people as their Customer care?

    Now I want a reply from Airtel as soon as possible or I will take them to court and will want no further correspondence with them in future and also get 6 numbers disconnected (which I and my family are currently using) also of Airtel !

    We have had a pathetic experience with Airtel and will share our experience with others as well… so that Airtel doesn’t fool anymore innocent people.

    Dear AIRTEL,

    I ve choosen postpaid corporate connection (249 CUG Plan) last two month back and now regretting myself.

    I wake up Saturday(20th Jan) morning to relax myself and tried my first call since that the story begins.

    My outgoing call and internet service has been barred (stopped) as it crossed my credit limit. However my credit limit is 1,000, but my outstanding bill was 6,193 as of 22nd Jan . Though it crossed my credit limit long ago but I ve never been intimated. I don’t know what is the definition of credit limit by their **** system . With that money a couple can go for Honeymoon to Leh for 4day/3 nights.

    I called to customer service center on 21thJan2012 first they told me that for the period(20Dec2011~19Jan2012) has generated you ll be receiving it shortly. Please try with re-login with their given password. (Interaction Id F[protected]. That’s a false statement.

    Again I called and explained all the story from the beginning. Then they happily said, unless I paid the amount 4,500 they won’t resume my service and I can get my bill only on 22ndJan2012. (Interaction ID:F[protected] Not A Chance In HELL.

    I called again the same story on the next day morning that is on Sunday(22nd Jan).
    I requested them to send them the bill so that I can resume my service which STOPPED ME SINCE LAST TWO DAYS TO MAKE ANY CALL. This time they assured me by sms they will send me the e-bill within two hours. I waited for six hours still no call or no bill has been sent. (Interaction ID:F[protected].That’s a also false commitment.

    Now I am out of patience. But this time a new story. THE BAD lady RUDELY saying Your bill has been generating in our system it will take 5 days to reach me (Is it a rocket science you are dealing with? Huh!!!! ) . AS HELL AS she disconnected my phone while in conversation saying “DON’T YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH”. Actually I doubt them are they really qualified for the post they are sitting and serving for Silicon city of INDIA (Bangalore).This time no interaction has been sent as they have the full control whom to send whom to not send , as they are the king..

    Again soon I call to them but this time they said you ll receive the e-bill today(seems to be not interested in my problem). He also told me the same thing you have to pay 4,500 to resume the service. (Interaction ID : F[protected].What the hell, I said okay to end the stupid call.

    WHAT SURPRISED ME HERE on Saturday when my phone has been barred at that time the unbilled amount was 5,900 and on the next day the unbilled amount was 6,190. Absolutely nothing had changed in my usage other than the calls to customer service. as I ve invested in stock it keeps increasing or decreasing. (**@@ System)

    Again I called them up in the Sunday night. NOW I SAW IN INTERNET THE OUTSTANDING BILL IS 476 but still they are saying I need to pay 4,500 to resume my service.(F[protected]., still I am waiting to receive the e-bill to my registered email ID. That was it..

    Finally, I lost it totally. ”FORGET IT”. I barely use the phone enough to miss it. I’ll survive. One thing is for certain. I am NOT paying for something I didn’t use, just because their software Gods think I should.

    Now it is 1:23 AM and I ve waisted my whole weekend with resoning wiht these #$## peoples..

    I ve used softbank,Japan for 3 years I cant even compare 1% of their service what I m getting in INDIA.
    I know this is not only me who suffered this kind of problem I urge Airtel to resolve to make a better INDIA.

      Dear Sir / Madam,

      I was an Airtel broadband customer from Sep. 8, 2008 until Sep. 17, 2009. The broadband connection was provided through a land telephone .

      I requested the Airtel Customer care agent ( Senthil ) to disconnect my connection on Sep 17 ,2009 as I was going out of station & didn't need the service any longer. The agent obliged & tried convincing me to make use of the landline connection to which, I disagreed. The next day I get a call again from the call centre wanting to know the reason for my disconnection of service. This agent too forced me to hold onto the landline connection & then offered me by saying that Airtel will not charge me any rental fees for the landline. However, if any calls were made it'll be charged. Trusting this gentleman, I agreed verbally over the phone.

      Since then the telephone has been disconnected & put in storage. To my dismay from Nov.2009 until Jan. 2010 Airtel kept sending bills to my residence being the charge towards rental for the landline connection. The collection agent kept harassing my wife in my absence during this period on her mobile & also by frequently visiting my house. Unable to put up with this harassment ,she paid the bills till Jan 2010. When I heard about this anomaly I instructed her not to pay
      any further bills of the airtel. In January 2010, my wife had visited the Plamoodu office of Airtel in Trivandrum & gave them a written application to disconnect the landline connection & withdraw the instrument from the premise. The very next day my wife gets a call on her mobile from the customer care & trying to convince her to hold onto the telephone & they’ll sort out the billing issues. My wife disagreed to this. When back home in February 2010,I spoke with the customer care agent seeking an explanation for the bills raised though the rental was free. I was advised that I've to pay for the rental as it’s not free & may be the previous agent made a mistake !!!!!!

      How can an organization of your repute do such type of cheat to customers ??
      I reminded the agent again to disconnect & take away the instrument which, till date has not materialized. I requested to speak with a superior in this matter & I was promised I’ll receive a call within 24 hrs which again never happened. I warned the agent that I’ll resort to legal steps if , Airtel still kept sending me rental bills for the telephone. Though, nobody came to pick up the instrument ,I did not receive any bill statements since then ( Feb 2010 ). Hoping the chapter had closed I decided to maintain a low profile even though I had paid Rs.868.99 in excess being the telephone rental apart from me & my wife being mentally tortured & harassed by your company.


      The whole episode takes a different turn when I receive a letter from the Trivandrum Legal Service Authority , requesting to appear before the honourable Lok Adalat on August 8 , 2010 as per the Pre-litigation petition filed under section 21 of The Legal Service Authority Act 1987 by Bharti Airtel , Kochi.

      The “charge” against me being non-payment of bills for the month of Feb , Mar , April 2010 amounting to RS. 721/= & all the more not responding to three repeat notices sent from your office.
      • How can your organization falsify statements in front of the Indian Judiciary wherein, your office never sent me any further bill statements from Feb.2010 onwards ?
      • How come your office claims having sent me 3 notices requesting to clear the dues when I received nothing ?
      • How come I was not sent any notice from your office pertaining to this adalat rather than learning it only when I received it from the District Legal Services ?


      On August 8 , 2010 @ 1030 hrs. I made myself available in front of the Honourable III Additional Munsiff’s Court Hall in the Thiruvananthapuram Vanchiyoor Court for the hearing. Mr. Movin ( Airtel Representative ) was gasping for words when I asked him to clarify certain points pertaining to this issue in front of the judiciary panel. He could only say “may be” , “I think”.... but, no clarifications to my questions what so ever. Then, came a “gentleman” to his rescue . He had no sense of basic etiquettes & started addressing me “aedoo” ( in Malayalam ) & was very rude & unprofessional. He tried comparing Airtel to BSNL to justify over my statements but, in the bargain only axed himself. As things were not going in the right direction I informed the honourable panel that I’m not willing to pay a single paisa towards this issue & I came out of the court hall once the proceedings were finished. If not for the unprofessional behaviour of the counsellor representing Bharti Airtel & the Airtel representative, Movin who had no clue on my case, I would have probably paid up two hundred odd rupees which, the panel put forwarded to me as a compromise settlement.

      But, having said this .... why should a consumer like me pay for it when Airtel has wrongly billed me for no fault of mine.

      I cannot imagine Bharti Airtel resorting to such cheap tricks to increase the revenue.... Probably, the management at the top rung is unaware as to how the bottom rung of the ladder is manipulating the facts to achieve their monthly targets.

      I demand the following,

      1. An early response to this mail clarifying all the aforementioned points apart from taking away the telephone instrument from my premise within 48hrs.

      2. Refund of Rs.868.99 collected from my wife vide bill nos. –[protected] ,[protected] ,[protected] being the rental charges of the telephone.

      3. Cancel the bill amounting to Rs.721/= vide bill nos[protected] ,[protected] ,[protected].


      I anticipate a very positive & immediate response to my concerns.

        i m kuldeep kaushik frm gwalior.I hv taken a connection from airtel which is a combo pack named SURF 699 last month,which is a dsl connection & landline no.is[protected].frm last 10days i went 2out of station, 2day i came bck n tried to call a colleague,when i picked the reciever up 2 the ear,the dial tone is off n i think that my phone is dead,then i checked the broadband connection ,its working bt their is no dial tone on my phone ,n i checked the connection n leads 2 bt they r all right.So pls.try to make up this complaint as soon as possible.

        AirTel — Broadband connection dead

        My broadband connection is dead since 11/11/2010. Ihave complained them twice on 12/11/2010 & 13/11/2010 vide complaiont no. 39746656. Every time they close the complaint by false comments like, connection already working, internal wiring defective without even visiting the premises. I am now fedup as how to get my connection restored. They dont take action even after talking to their supervisor.

          The Airtel daily billing is still not beyond doubt for postpaid services. My number is [protected] which has a postpaid service. Besides, I have 4 Airtel prepaid services at home and don't have any complaints. When it is a postpaid service, the service becomes dishonest and starts cheating, as detailed/comprehensive monitoring is not feasible in postpaid services. So the service misuses the scope and does not lose the dishonest opportunity.. So why should I go for postpaid? Though I know it very well if I apply for cancelling the service, requests from every corner of the planet would start coming to me. So why don't provide an honest service so that you dont need to that, But if I decide, I will do that definitely, just waiting and watching.

          So beware!!

          Airtel — Dishonest billing process

          This is the 11th time I am complaining against the postpaid billing system of Airtel. For last 7 days it has been considerably upsetting. This will be the last month of my Airtel service (postpaid). Very shameful service!

          Just got seek of the service!

          I will never recommend anybody to take this service, at least postpaid, rather will discourage.

          Airtel — AIrtel dishonest billing system

          These days I have been unable to check my usage as *121" is not working. Calling customer care has become chargeable.


          Is Airtel intending to wind up its business from Kolkata? When I had been in Delhi, it was a nice service though it was a prepaid service.

          I had a postpaid Vodafone number which I cancelled earlier, I had full belief on Bharati. But all the same. So this is going to happen to this service also.

          My name is Joginder. I have been using AIRTEL service since 2006 under mobile no. [protected] and I was full satisfied with the services provided by AIRTEL.

          But after below happening I am totally surprised, i don’t know how did it happened.

          Complaint Details:- I made recharge 100/= on Dated[protected] at 08:15 PM (friday). Trans ID is[protected].
          But when i tried to call on Sunday 29-08-10, it was not allowed due to no balance.

          When i made complaint to AILTEL customer care, they people said that you have used the amount by calling to particular phone number. But it is not true. I do not share my phone with any body & there is no any history in my mobile no. for calling on particular mobile no date and time. It may be done by any airtell networking people.

          So I request to you pls. refund my talk time, otherwise i will go to otherway.

            I have taken a new broadband connection on saturday and my application number is 0147748. Since I had urgent requirement, the airtel team said they would get the connection done within 3 days, but till now it is not done. Also when I tried calling to the concerned authorities, they just dont reply in a proper manner.

            Please look into the matter and get the request done. It is really sick of Airtel, who is known for its services, and still have such irresponsible people.

              Hi: My number is [protected]. Airtel keeps sending me the messages that Caller tunes has been activated on your phone. For no reason, all of a sudden they deduct Rs. 30 for their caller tunes which I never subscribed in the first place. When I called their Customr service (which is very difficult in few attempts), the representative tells that he can deactivate the service but can not refund me the money. This happened almost 3-4 times and now I am very sure this is a systematic fraud by Airtel. Do not trust Airtel. Looks like everybody in my friends circle know it and therefore avoid Airtel. This has happened to many people and went unnoticed. I believe this systematic fraud is supported by Airtel management and therefore such malpractice must be fine by DOT. Airtel has collected a huge sum of money by this fraud and everyone should get their money back from Airtel if they subscribed to their caller tune services.

              Dear Sir/Madam,


              With reference to the above mentioned subject, I would like to inform you that I have been using the above mentioned number for few years now.

              In recent time, I have been getting the missed-calls from few unknown numbers and when curiously I dial the number back; my available balance is reduced for activation of some unwanted caller tune services. This has happened fewer times with me and even today i.e. on 13th July 2010, I got a missed call from “[protected]”. Being curious, when I dialed back the number, I heard some songs. I realized that I am again in the trap of fraudulent calls hence I immediately disconnected the call and checked my balance. I was surprised to note that my balance was reduced by around 45 rupees for activation of some caller tune services for which I never opted.

              Being such a reputed organization, this kind of act with your loyal consumer does not suit your image and will spread sick feelings about your company.

              In consideration of the above, you are requested to look in to the matter and take necessary action immediately. In case, no-cognizance is taken of my above complaint, I would be compelled to approach the respective consumer care authorities with the matter.

                  i have been responding to the calls from your end. I really would like to tell you if you would understand how painful and disturbing the calls have been. i do not know if it was you or someone else on the call who totally did not want to hear a word of what I had to say I even request for the name but she just did not give her name to me. It was so frustrating that i was speaking from my end and she kept speaking from here end and when she finished she banked the phone down.

                  Kalpana you know the total situation of my connection it feels like I have made a big mistake and instigated a total harassment by putting my problem to you.

                  I dont really think I deserve to be insulted and harnessed after being misguided for such a long time. All i have wanted is an internet connection which was offered from your end. I am not a bill defaulter then why am I being treated like one.


                  AFTER ALL THE BELOW MAILS I HAVE BEEN REQUESTING FOR THE CONNECTION.

                  YOUR PEOPLE CAME HOME DID SOME WIRING. I HAD ASKED FOR A CHANGED NUMBER AS I WAS GETTING A LOT OF BLANK CALLS ON MY PREVIOUS NUMBER. NOW IT IS 2 MONTHS AND NOBODY EVEN BOTHERS TO CALL OR COME AND VISIT. THIS IS REALLY A BIG JOKE.                     I had taken a mobile Nop. of airtel after submitting all documents , but I received a sms stating that documents are not submitted so my outgoing calls have been stopped. I resubmitted all documents but still my outgoing calls were not activated I amm trying to call 121 ato register my complaint but I am getting only an advertisement for GPRS in the recorded service they have provided and they are not registering a complaint kindly tell me which forums I can approach for reredressal

                    Airtel — stopped my outgoing

                    I really had a very bad experience with Airtel in the past few days. I have taken a new connection from Airtel in my name, No. is [protected]. Airtel is closed my outgoing call due to address verification, while nobody come for verification at my billing address. In this regard I have registered many complaint to Airtel customer care center but no positive result come. please help me.

                    i am using the airtel sim from last about 01 year as a post paid plan and on date 03/11/08, i have paid all outstanding payments to convert the same number into prepaid account along with 195 rs. extra for new sim card from your authorised showroom in aurangabad (maharashtra),



                    At the time of application he asked me all the documents to activate the new sim and promised that the number will activate within the 02 days, the number has been activated within time but till date 14/11/08 my outgoing facility is not activated yet, whenever i call to custmer care no. 121 they answered that your no is ok you can call, but when i try to call i got CALL REJECTED on my mobile screen and i am unable to call any of the number.



                    I have visited about 10 times to your outlet at aurangabad (PLUS CELLULAR SERVICE, NIRALA BAZAR AURANGABAD-431001) and requsted so many time on the mobile no. of their represntative (Mr. jawed) so many times but problem not solved till the time,



                    I request you to please look into before i proceed to the "CONSUMER FORUM COURT" TO LODGE THE COMPLAINT.

                      Hi,

                      I recently bought Airtel Digital TV Recorder (DVR). My customer ID is [protected]. I attracted towards the advertised features of the DVR. I also enjoyed the features of the same for the first month of buying your service. However, since start of the second month I am disappointed by Airtel's service.

                      In the first month of buying the DVR, I was given Ultra pack for free. Everything worked fine. In the next month I opted for Economy pack and the problem started since then. Right now, I am having Supervalue pack. The programs which I recorded on DVR from the channels which were available in Ultra pack, and got automatically unsubscribed when I chose the Economy pack, I am unable to play those program from the DVR. For example, a program which I recoreded on DVR from PIX or HBO (which were part o[censored]ltra pack), I am not able to play those program from the DVR once I opted for the Economy pack.

                      When I try to play any of those programs, I get a message "This channel/program is not subscribed by you. To view this program you need to add the relevant topup to your account...." Error Code: 4

                      I dont understand, why should I subscribe any channel to view a program which is already available in the hard disk of the DVR.

                      After several unsolved complaints (I can give all the complaint numbers along with dates), I contacted Nodal officer on email. I received a call from Mr. Roop Singh ([protected] ) on 7-Aug-10. He told me that he could not solve the problem.

                      I have found out from other people and also from the internet that Airtel applies the restriction on their DVR customers. Airtel does not allow its customers to play a program from their own DVR, once a channel is unsubscribed. I dont understand that once I buy the DVR along with the Recording Topup, why should I be deprieved of playing ALL the recorded programs ? Please note that Airtel's competitor Big TV does not restrict its customers from playing recorded contents the way Airtel is restricting.

                      Can I request to protect rights of the consumer in this regard ?

                      Dear Customer Service Team,

                      I am deeply disappionted that Nitesh Sharma ([protected]@airtel.in - Customer Services, Bharti Airtel Limited) has refused to fix the problem.

                      In an email to me on 15-Sep-2010, he has written to me:
                      "this facility would only be made available to any of the customers, till the time the respective channel is a part of the package activated towards the account. "

                      Instead of solving the problem, I was given the policy statement ! And that is the main problem.

                      I think, even after selling the DVR, Airtel is interested just in milking the money by selling the channel packages.

                      I advice everybody to stay away from buying Airtel's DVR. Please note that Big TV's DVR is having more features and they dont loot their DVR customer's by forcing them to buy channel packages just to view the earlier recorded programs.

                      I was an Airtel customer (Cust Id # [protected]) earlier switched to TataSkyPlus for one year since Airtel didn't have any annual packages, I switched to TataSkyplus and it was running one year without any major issues. Recently, I thought of switching over to Airtel HD with Digital Recorder package under new customer id (Cust Id# [protected]).

                      After paying for the DVR & one year Ultra package (around 8K), now my set top box is not working for whatever reason. During important period (cricket matches etc...) I am unable to use this service and continue to be in this mode for the past one week. They had informed to replace the DVR set.

                      I am not sure whether Airtel DVR having such common issues - when I checked with Airtel customer care, they confirmed many customers having issues with DVR. Not sure why Airtel still promoting something which is flawed. May be we Indians deserve substandard products and services. Even God cannot save this country.

                        This is to bring to your kind notice that I have been cheated on account of providing Mega Pack with Free Offer period of 3 months at cost of Rs.1890/-. But unfortunately I have started receiving messages in 2 months only to recharge again.

                        While installation representative (Sunil-[protected]) from Anishka Enterprises have come for the installation and confirmed 3 months subscription. When first reported this call I took Sunil from Anshika on conference with Airtel representative, where he too confirmed of receiving Rs.1890/- payment and confirmed to update in my account.

                        But after 6 days of no change in status today I have called again with Srv Req[protected] and requested for solution. Surprisingly I was given no help and advised to write this mail. Look, I don’t know who is Anshika Enterprises as I have called Airtel for new connection and I am not ready to run from pillar to post to get this activated. Its your responsibility to get this fixed and enable my connection back.

                        To my surprise I have also started receiving messages that your problem got resolved but actually nothing has happened.

                        Only thing happened is I am rolling like Roll O Coster from front office to back office. Please find attached bill for the service which is not provided.

                        Dish TV — disconnection of dish tv

                        we have paid for [protected]-7 on 18/07 but no connectivity is there, kindly check urgently.
                        Since last seven days our set top box is not working so that we r not able to view any channels. when i call to dish tv customer care they replied that my connection is in warranty so they will soul this problem with in 48 hrs.
                        When there is no response up to 72 hours i again called that time they replied same that they want another ask another 48 hrs. my complain no is 19865682.

                        Therefore I think that as a No. 1 DTH service provider would do something for me.

                        Airtel — Disconnection before due date of payment

                        I have Airtel mobile no [protected],whic i am using from long time but my experience with them is poor,bills are always very high inspite of all cheapest options.Today it has croosed the limit o[censored]nsatisfaction when i was trying to call from my mobile and got the information that my telephone services are debarred because of non payment.Payment due date is 4th october 2009 and today is 3rd october 2009.
                        I have lodged a complaint on 2 days back regarding high billings and requested for three months bills.Two months back they have changed my bill plan in which sms cost is only Rs.0.10,Airtel to airtel 1000 callls free +other benifits still bill was 5000+,next bill Rs.7000+
                        Effect of my complaint and and informing that i will pull them in consumer court is they have disconnectd my no.today,complint number is F[protected],complaint attended by Danish at 5.35 AM on 3rd october.
                        I wish to take this case in consumer court for harrasement and losses to me.
                        Please advise action.

                        Airtel Dishtv — Charging extra for scrapped package

                        Airtel had changed their DTH packages long time back and restructured package is having more channels and less rate as compared with my current packange.

                        My current package was Mega [protected]@363/pm which doesn't have all the channels.
                        When I checked on Airtel's website, it has a Mega [protected]@275 pm which has more channels than my current package. They scrapped Mega Plus in Nov-09 and I was not informed.

                        When I inquired the same with Airtel Customer care they said that it is not their responsibility to inform customer.

                        This way Airtel is making customer fool, if customer didnt check then they would be charged for something which is non-existent.

                        Airtel DishTV — RELOCATION

                        I am using Airtel DishTV since 2009, on dated 27.03.2011 get the complaint to customer care for relocation to my current address Sector-12, H.No. 317, Behind VV Shoping Plaza, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad-201012, India.                             I have been in possession of the Airtel number [protected] for more than 4years now.
                            Recently I have been out of Andaman state for 4-5 months and have not been making calls using this number. This airtel number had been recharged by me with a lifetime validity t. When in January I switched on this number I was getting Sim Card Registration Failed. I haven't been able to use this number nor been able to contact the customer care.
                            yesterday on contacting the local relationship centre I was informed that the number has been deleted.
                            I like to inform you that even I have the sathi pack on this number. I am using my number for more then 4 years and having validity till 2012. How can Airtel can do that to every body. I have my mobile number to every document, banking details, Resume details. It is affecting me.

                            What Airtel is doing in order to reslove this problem. I have seen Airtel has done to many customers. I request to Airtel company to look into this issue and reslove it ASAP.

                              Airtel/network problem — Network problem in our area

                              My airtel no.is[protected].In my area the network signal is zero.Hence facing a lot of problems.Many complaints made to customer services but of no avail.Pls do something.

                              This is to inform you that i Ajay Sharma Residence of 1183/13 Govind Puri, Kalkaji, New Delhi- 110019. are facing a severe problem of network at our residence. as we are living in a joint family we have around 10 connections of airtel. we have complained almost 15 to 20 times at airtel customer service. but they have never came back with any feed back or solutions. i think so that airtel is big company now and they do not need any more customers with them. there feed back teem is full o[censored]nskilled people who does not no how to solve the problems or how to have solutions . or if they have given the spesific time limit that they will return to us but like always they do not please look further to our problems or we are swithcing to some other company.

                                Airtel has been cheating its customers in the name of Fair Usage Policy. When the connection is supposed to be for unlimited data transfer, they reduce the bandwidth to half of what is in the plan when the amount of downloaded data crosses 2 GB. To add insult to injury, they redirect the users to some stupid Fair Usage Policy page when in the middle of something.

                                Imagine being redirected to this page when you are doing some online shopping and you are at the last step.

                                I think the fair usage policy applies to everyone, So please tell us how can u justify limits as generous if you can run out of it in less than 2 days into the billing cycle? If i pay for an unlimited 4 mbps plan... i cant use it for more than an hour a day or my speeds go down 256 (28hrs o[censored]sage = 50GB). or 2 mbps plan for more than an 1-2 hours a day (45 hrs o[censored]sage = 40GB). These limits are rubbish... the limit should be Generous in the true sense... I[censored] cant provide an unlimited plan dont claim to... The only reason speeds get knocked down to 256 kbps is because any lower and the plan doesn't qualify to be BroadBand (under TRAI definition)...

                                    i would like to warn all mobile consumers who are planning for airtel connection.plz refrain from using airtel connections, they are bloody thieves,charging for services which we have not subscribed to,and here is a new way of cheating customers, my mobile no.# [protected] (sim #[protected] was switched off for one month and just yesterday i switched it on, it says unregistered sim , i contacted the customer care office , they said that the no. is deleted from the airtel database , there is no way u can restart it, i had nearly rs 70 in it . they had provided me with lifetime validity , if it says lifetime validity why the hell they deleted my no. from the database for not using for one month.this has happened the second time when i lost money and the no. too. when i go through all the consumer complaints i find that airtel has most no. of the complaints,they are unethical company, and i going to ensure the airtel company that i am going to the CONSUMER COURT regarding this(my no. being deleted & the charging for services which we have not subscribed to ), as i am not going to take this lightly & make the airtel guys pay for it & also , me and my 9 friends have decided to stop doing business with airtel and they are going to unsubscribe their airtel connection on ethical grounds.i dont know whether the airtel people care or not , but at least this will ring bells in the minds of the existing and future airtel customers.

                                    i would like to warn all mobile consumers who are planning for airtel connection.plz refrain from using airtel connections, they are bloody thieves, charging for services which we have not subscribed to, and here is a new way of cheating customers, 1 year before i bought two mobile numbers with same address proof First one number is [protected] is working properly but my another mobile no.# [protected] (sim #[protected] ) was switched off for one month after one month i switched it on for my business purpose, it says sim card regiistrstion failed, i contacted the customer care office yesterday for taking new duplicate sim, they said that the no. is deleted from the airtel database, there is no way u can restart it, i had nearly Rs 40 in it . they had provided me with 2 year income validity, if it says 2 year validity up to JUNE 2011, why the hell they deleted my no. from the database for not using for one month.this has happened the second time when i lost money and the no. too. when i go through all the consumer complaints i find that airtel has most no. of the complaints, they are unethical company, and i going to ensure the airtel company that i am going to the CONSUMER COURT regarding this(my no. being deleted & the charging for services which we have not subscribed to ), as i am not going to take this lightly & make the airtel guys pay for it & also, me and my group of 1000 more friends have decided to stop doing business with airtel and they are going to unsubscribe their airtel connection due to change another service provider like Reliance, Aircel, IDEA, 7etc...                                     Idea — number deleted without any reason

                                    Dear sir,
                                    I have a idea number [protected] which is very important to me. I did not used it for about 20 to 25 days for some personal reasons. When i was try to use it again i was shocked.. Coz it was deleted. When i contacted nearest idea office in tumkur they said, my number got erased (deleted) it is not possible to restore my account.. I got cheated by Idea cellular. I dont know what to do now. Please help me...

                                      i have a airtel iptv service attached with broadband & landline connection . i had made 4 complaints of not working of my iptv set top box & connection which i have bought it from airtel one year ago for Rs3500/- with taxes i pay Rs1250/- every month for this service but out of my 4 complaints-
                                      1. 1st complaint was not registered
                                      2. 2nd complaint was on 29th july[protected] no action took place
                                      3. 3rd complaint was on 3rd august[protected] no action took place
                                      4. 4th compliant was on 7th august[protected] no action took place till now

                                      due to this irregular service i want compensation of my two months bill as per my complaint dates of last nine days & a period of twenty days when my services were not working. if my problem would not be solved in next 48 hours the complaint would be forwarded to the higher authorities of trai.
                                      Airtel IPTV service is worst..

                                        Few words I would like to Say about the over willing response of the Airtel Billing service is airtel provide the worst mobile service in Mumbai. My company suggest me use your net work & I am unable to explain your service problem. It’s my mistake that I am using to the airtel billing plan, last four month I lock the compliant in your customer care center for bill hard copy SR No.F[protected], 33471034, and 33012919. Which is lock in CC
                                        I never ask Bill on mail, last three month this happening. Once lock compliant this should not repeat is it way you give service...
