Hi,
I am Mahesh Nadar, working for Reliance Industries Ltd since september 2007. My mobile number is [protected].
My SIM card got de-activated without any prior intimation on 9th Dec 2009.
When I had called customer care on 121, I got a reply saying that my address proof is missing and my SIM will be activated within 4 hours of submitting the same. Were you people sleeping for two tears.???Why should i suffer for the mistakes of airtel.correct me if I am wrong,According to me,phone bills are considered as a address proof.I am getting my airtel bills on this address for two years and now suddenly my services are barred.Airtel is supposed to solve this problem by themselves. On the contrary they are playing hide and seek with me.
The customer care executive had given me address of Khopoli Airtel gallery for the purpose. When I reached there, i found no such Airtel gallery existing there. Second time I was directed to go to Bhiwandi, there the shopkeeper told me he had stopped his shop as an Airtel gallery since last 6 months.
Now, I had submitted my address proof at Pune finally on 16th DEC. When I had called 121 as my SIM is not activated yet, the person named Sudarshan now requested me to go there again and submit a 'Subscriber Enrolment form'.
My phone has been active since sept 2007. I had been paying bills directed at this address since then. I want to know, could you people, who send me n number of promotional SMS to activate Hello tunes etc have not sent me an SMS to submit address proof???????
Now, please guide me regarding the exact procedure to get my SIM restarted (If it really will or no) and time required for the same.
Kindly inform me regarding further procedure ASAP.
Thanks and Regards,
Mahesh

Complaint marked as Resolved
Airtel - post paid — Deactivation of new number for no fault of customer
I moved to Bangalore recently and took a new Airtel Post Paid connection number - +91 [protected]. I submitted all required documents to the airtel employee - Shiva shankar - number +91 [protected] who had to me residency for applying for new connection. All the documents were intact and as per requirement of guidelines set by TRAI.A week later I received message from Airtel state that they are not in receipt of my documents. Assuming that there is a delay from said person in submiting these documents at airtel office, I ignored the message. Couple of days later my outgoing calls were barred. I made a complaint regard this issue - complaint number[protected] and was informed that issue will be resolved in 24 hrs. I at the same time contacted Shiva shanker regarding the issue and he assured me that documents were correct and submitted and issue will be resolved. For next 5 days the issue was not resolved and my repeated attempts to escalate the issue with any senior airtel personnal failed. Customer care assured me that some senior officals will call back but none called.
Finally two days back I received a call from Airtel saying my outgoing have restored and they are in receipted of my documents and assured me that their system has been updated with same. Feeling happy that the issue is now resolved, I dropped the idea to submit these documents again at the airtel show room.
To my horror, I received another SMS from Airtel today stating that they are not in receipt of my documents and since noon they have deactived my above number.
Wonder how they claim to be No, 1 company in India. Airtel really sucks!!!
Problem is I cant even move to any other service provider since my number is not even 90 days old.
