I have paid my Airtel Broadband[protected] bill for the period 26-04-09 to 26-05-09, which was payable on or before 25-06-09, on 03-06-09 through ICICI Bank (Madurai - K K Nagar Branch) Cheque No.648899, dated 03-06-09, which was debited from my Account on 08-06-09 towards Airtel as per bank statement. The cheque was drawn on "Airtel (A/c[protected]", as instructed in the Bill. To my surprise I started getting SMSs and calls from Airtell from 20-06-09, regarding non payment of bill. In every such calls from Airtel, I have given them all relevant details of my payment, but they have not updated in their end. Finally i raised a complaint regarding this issue in Airtel Customer Care on 26-06-09 explaining the details. The Complaint No. given was "21317850", and promised that the issue will be solved within 2 working days. Today 01-07-09 i have received the next bill for the period 26-05-09 to 26-06-09, in which I found that it shows that previous bill is unpaid, at the same time I have been charged Rs50/- + service tax for late payment of bill. Also the bill is payable IMMEDIATE.
I feel it Insulting and Harassing. I expect from Airtel –
(1) The late payment charges and Service tax their on should be reversed immediately.
(2) Airtel should Apologise in writing for this mistake.
(3) Airtel should Waive my latest bill as a gesture of Compensation for the harassment done to me.

Airtel — Airtel Does Not Recognize Even After Two Years
I have Post-paid connection of Airtel for over two years. Since I requested for a better number, I was given an old number which was not in use. But now, for any complaint when I seek help of Customer Care, I am told that the number is not in my name !!!My bill is regularly paid, but the company does not recognize me !!! Two years time is too short to correct records !!!
