I seem to be facing the same problem with the 54542 service. I can't find a way to unsubscribe it and it continues to send me sms and deducts Rs1. Hope you will see to it. Rather than providing a service, it seems to be becoming a nuisance for the customers.
NO COMPLIANCE TO MAILS.
daily i am receiving sms from 54542 and i havent subscibed on that.i am loosing everyday 1rs in my mobile balance.now i am using airtels international roaming service.So please unsubscribe my number from that and avoid the sending of sms without the acceptance from the customers.

Airtel Mobile — Daily SMS from 54542 which started automatically

This is continuation of my earlier message / complaint


DESPITE MY REPEATED SMS TO 121 AND 54542 TO STOP SENDING DAILY SMS
FROM 54542 TO MY MOBILE NO. [protected] BY DEDUCTING FROM MY PREPAID
BALANCE AMOUNT AT THE RATE OF RS. 1/- PER MESSAGE, THE SMS FROM 54542 WAS AUTOMATICALLY STARTED ON 20TH JUNE AND TILL TODAY I AM RECEIVING ONE OR TWO SMSES PER DAY AND NEARLY RS. 19/- IS CHARGED TO ME. YESTERDAY AND TODAY WHEN I TALKED TO [protected] NUMBER THE PERSON WHO CAME ON LINE TOLD ME THAT FROM TOMORROW I WILL NOT FACE THE PROBLEM AND THEY GAVE ME CREATE OF RS. 10/- AND RS. 2/- FOR THE EARLIER DAYS.

MORE THAN ANYTHING I NEED A PERMANENT SOLUTION AND IT SHOULD NOT REPEAT.

I frequntly sent 54542 to stop. But it continue to send me message and deduct the amount
Please stop sending message immediatly. Otherwise i will change to any other services (BSNL/AIRCEL/etc)

And also request you to refund the deducted amount immediatly. Otherwise i go to consumer court regarding this...

My mobile number is[protected] prepaid in Coimbatore. With out my request I had recieved 5 calls from the number[protected] regarding SLogans and 2 prayer SMS from 54542. Earlier past 4 months this call came from 54542. I sent Deactivate message several times after 2 weeks The same Slogan comes from[protected] instead of 54542. I appreciate your cleverness that you keep on sending this and detecting money from the customer until they find( very difiicult task) how to deactivate this from the new nmber[protected].
I appreciate this kind of services but you should send instructions on how to stop this calls and prayer SMS in the bottom of the same Message.

I'm getting JOKE SMS from 54542 daily for the past two weeks and one rupee is deducted for that, even though i haven't subscribed for that. So many times i tried to call 121 to log a complaint against this issue.However it always ends with a recorded voice saying to send a msg to 121. I did that. But it all also ends in vain. No people from airtel called regarding this. I'm totally irritated coz of this. I've sent 'stop' message to 121 a lot of times. But nothing happens. Please stop sending JOKE messages to me.

    i had taken broadband connection from the trishul communication franchisee of airtel in salt lake city kolkata and they did not issue a receipt for the money taken as deposit.thereafter they provided an ineternet connection but the phone was not installed even after repeated requests to the local customer care centre and theie office.the receipt was also not given on the pretext that they were out of stock of receipt.i feel that this is a complete negligence on the part of the management to handle a basic necessity of a consumer.till date i have not received the receipt or the phone handset.

      My prepaid double Sim-Simoco-SM-1100 mobile phone was locked wef 01-12-09...
      IMIE no ([protected])of this phone was verified by your customer service & 53232 service providers...
      According to them there should be two IMIE numbers for double Sim mobile phone but you are very much aware that practically that is not possible & goverment has not issued such type of order...
      My double Sim-Simoco-SM-1100 mobile phone is complete indian made with all necessary details...
      Please do the needful...

        Airtel — not providing the detailed bill summary

        exorbitant billing is done, even after registering for e-billing & calling up airtel helpline numbers for getting the bill is just like finding a needle in a haystock.evey time i am getting a recorded reply via sms & over phone it will be done in another 72 hrs time. Even after waiting for that much of time it is not being done,again if we were to complain them they will start asking for the details from the begining which will be of no use.The same thing is happening for 4 connections.

          Hi,
          I am using the Airtel prepaid connection from past 5 years.
          On Saturday, 13/6/2009 one person called me up and said that, i[censored] want to continue with the same connection, , you need to submit some documents like Address Proof and ID Proof for verification purpose. He also mentioned that, he will send a Person near my home/office premises on Monday.
          But, nobody turned up. Even I tried to call the same number, it was not answerable and switched off sometimes.

          On Wednesday, 17/06/09 by 2 PM, I recieved an SMS Saying outgoing will be barred. I immediately called up the Airtel Customer care(121) and mentioned the same. He said that, you nee to submit the documents at any near by Airtel Relationship Centre immediately. As my office is in Whitefioled, bangalore and there is no near by Airtel centre, he told, will extend the time till Saturday or at least tomorrow morning. But, immediately after I disconnect the call with them, all my Incoming as well as Outgoing calls were barred. Even I m unable to call Cust care also.
          If the SMS Says outgoing will be barred then "Why Incoming is also barred". I had a meeting with US Client on the same day evening. I mailed them in the same day morning to conference me on the same number. But, all these made me not attend the meeting and many things happened in my office. And also the recorded voice message says " The Airtel Customer has barred the calls ", Is that right ? Did I do barring or did Airtel done it ?

          Finally, on Friday I had all these discussion with the Airtel Relation ship centre in Banashankari 3rd Stage, Bangalore centre and I Submitted all my supporting documents also. And, they told within 48 hours your connection will get activated. It happened Sturday, sunday, monday, tuesday, still not done.
          When called up Cust care from some other mobile they are saying Saturday and sunday are not working Days.

          Will they do Activate my connction ??? Again

          I walked down to Banashankari 3rd Stage Centre again on Wednesday. The centre itswelf was not open. I waited for long long time and just returned to my office. Next time, when I called Customer Care, they are saying "NOT RECEIVED THE DOCUMENT PROOF". which I submitted a week ago. Whats really going on, I don;'t know. I have to follow up you guys, whether you are doing work or not. But, no communication happening from your side, which is very worst
          finally, after a lot of follow ups with the Airtel people yesterday and reminding them by giving a lot of calls, my service was activated, which is worst than ever expected. I missed out a lot of SMS's and incoming calls which I was expecting, in the last 15 days, becoz o[censored]navailability of your service. Sending a courier/post in bangalore will take maximum of 1 day service. but, After i submitted the documents, i have to follow up on the same to re-send the doucments to reach to the Head Office. If, I didnot followed means, then still there was a delay in service...

            I had done the payment of my Airtel postpaid mobile [protected] on 17th June, 2009 via mobile number [protected]. Even after 5 days, I have still not received the NOC Settlement Letter from Airtel which I was promised on the day of the payment itself. This is sheer misbehaviour on the part of Airtel and I want a serious action to be taken against them.

            The Airtel contact person was calling from Chandigarh. His name is Praveen and his mobile number is: [protected]. Also the number that he used to call me was: [protected]

            These people call us and make our life miserable when they need the payment. But after we make the payment, they do not acknowledge and play fraud by calling again. I have no proff of payment until the NOC letter is e-mailed to me from airtel. These people should be put behind the bars.

              BEWARE OF AIR TEL RECHARGE !
              I had a very bad experience on 21st May 2009 at Mysore while recharging my airtel mobiles. I was advised by the Aietel agent near Lalith Mahal, that full talk time available if I paid Rs200/- I gave the numbers of my two Airtel mobiles and paid Rs400/- to E-recharge each phone with Rs200/- which had an offer, full talk time, as advised by the Airtel Agent.
              To my surprise I received a message from Airtel that my Airtel numbers were credited with Rs46-51 each as talk time against a payment of Rs200/- The agent too was surprised and asked me any other Airtel number was available at Tamilnadu and there by he would send another message to Airtel to credit the mobile at Tamilnadu with Rs400/- by canceling the original credits to my mobiles. He further said that within 48 hours the transactions would be finished.
              On 23rd I lodged a complaint with Airtel by email and the authorities were positive in giving replies and assured that the matter would be resolved in a couple of days. Like that they prolonged for nearly a month and finally furnished a negative reply stating that the offer was not valid for my mobile phone !
              Then, how their agent could mislead me ? Is it not the responsibility of the Principal to ratify the mistakes of his agent ? Is depriving the customer by 75.75% By Airtel is approved by the government ?
              Are you an Airtel customer ? Please ensure that you have enough balance before you step out of Tamilnadu to avoid this kind of daylight looting by the company.

              It is shameful that a leading mobile service provider M/S Airtel is exploiting the customers. The amount should be refunded to the customer as there is no justification in collecting Rs200/- and allowing only Rs46/- as talk time. Concerned ministry should take appropriate action against the company in this regard. It is not sufficient if Air Tel gives a soothing reply without refunding the amount. It should see that the refund is made immediately and a reply is furnished by the customer on line to that effect.
              AIR TEL IS NOT SINCERE IN REFUNDING. I HAVE FURNISHED ALL DETAILS AND THEY ARE YET TO RESOLVE MY COMPLAINT.

              WHO WILL TAKE A STRONG ACTION AGAINST THE COMPANY ? WILL THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT HELP CUSTOMERS LIKE ME ? A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION INDEED.

              WILL AIR TEL BE TRUE TO ITS WORD AND RESOLVE MY COMPLAINT ?

              Air tel is yet to redress my online complaint dated[protected]. What is the use of sending online complaints? Air tel is just not bothered to redress the customer's grievances. The amount involved may be negligible for the company but is a good part of hard earned money of the customer which the company is enjoying ! The company may influence the Government / media / political parties and not the customers. I am sure that this trend of any company for that matter would have a cancerous growth and would be beyond repair.

                My self a consumer of Airtel Landline connection with broadband facility combo offer having no[protected]. I am earlier residing in Housing Board Cly in sec 21 D Faridabad, now I am shifted to 1103 Sec 21 D Faridabad. I have submitted a request for shifting on call centre of Airtel on 30.05.2009 vide request no 231899, 15 June vide no 20926550, 15 june vide no 20926620 and many more which i cann't remember.

                On first request I have told from the representative that in next 6 days your request will be answered but no one turned up. Subsequently, every time I called to call centre, I am told that there shall be a visit which is due from technical team after that the connection will be shifted to new address. After a long time from my first request with regular follow up, finally i have got a call and got information that the same is not possible as our home is 400 meters away from the nearest installation. But at the same time I have requested that pl explore the possibilities for installation as I am your regular paying consumer without any late payment charges for the last 5-6 years. But they replied it is very difficult, one thing you can do is: pl go to the nearest AIRTEL landline office, they can clarify better.

                At last, in a very embarrassing situation, I have requested for disconnection of services as AIRTEL shown no interest.

                As a last step, on friday 19.06.2009, I went to Airtel Landline Office located at NH 5, near Blue dart Courier service. I have explained my concern and requested for any possibility of installation. But the lady there haven't shown any interest for continuing the AIRTEL services to us inspite of this I have requested for the status of connectivity in my area (such as upto how much House nos of the same sector/ nearby colony the airtel connection is there) or if i can talk to the local technical person if you donot have complete information. The lady is least bothered and asking there is no possibility I hav tell you.

                But during my visit, I have seen that nearby colony adjcent to our sector hav connectivity which is approx 100 meters

                So can I get the connection or not
                I request AIRTEL Pl depute some technical person for visit again and meet us or customer will first suffer and no result after that.

                Airtel — Phoen line shifting blues

                Hi,

                I had asked for shifting of my phone line on 2nd August 2009 from Maratahhali to Kormangala.
                The date given to me to resolve the issue was 9th August 2009, 4:30 pm.

                The issue has not been resolved yet. I am tired of following it up through their Customer Care who give me the response as it's in progress with no dates now as to when it would be resolved.

                This is hurting me, as I am without network (for the past 5 days) and it effects my work and my company directly.

                Hi, I have shifted from Delhi to Ghaziabad on 15th July 2009.
                I called Airtel to transfer my internet connection + Fixed line Phone on 14th July.
                I was told that it will take 4 working days.
                After that I have been following up regularly but till date it has not been shifted.
                First it takes very long to get to that dept .to talk to some one for this and secondly some times they disconnects..
                So in a nutshell I am completly dissatisfied customer of Airtel and I would say that if it would have been in my hands I would have shut down the Airtel company, they are simply pathetic service providers.
                Sunil Mittal does not know what they do and how badly the customer services reps talk to.
                On 19 th July I called and they said it takes 7 working days and not 4, so contradictory statements, and now its 7 working daya are also over, now what?
                I am badly in need of internet but airtel sucks, so I have decided if within 2 days if I dont get any satisfactory answer from them I will go for Tata indicom or reliance service and no relation with Airtel in future.

I have submitted a request for shifting on call centre of Airtel on 19/12/2009, and then 10 times again with no result. The reference number of request: 27702220 and[protected] and 28097364 and 28183228, 28278204 and many more which I cant remember.

Is there any sound person in Airtel who can tell me what is happening with my request for shifting the connection and how longer it would take, so that I can make up mind to disconnect the connection and get a new one.

                  I am facing call drop issue while at home. I logged a call with Airtel on 25 Jan 2009 and the call number is 20401568. Engineer visited in february from their end and checked the signal strength.

                  After that I called them many times on customer care but they are not providing the any update or solution for this porblem. I am still facing the same problem.

                    I am facing same problem with Airtel. I have registered for DND almost 4 months back. After having a ridiculous processing period of 2 months, I continue to receive promotional SMSs prefixed by TA or TM. I am considering taking legal action against Bharti.

                    1 - Spam SMS's & 2 - Airtel — Unwanted Marketing - SMS

                    Dear Concerned,

                    Complaint 1 - I receive not less than 10 SMS's from various marketing agencies viz. Stock Broking, Travel, Electronics, Packers & movers etc. - I want this menace to end.

                    I have registered with the DNC registry in 2007, Till January 2010 the SMS's didnt bother me much.

                    On approaching Airtel customer service, they said they will take only 1 complaint at a time and charged me 50 Paise per call. I later received the SMS that the SMS came from another mobile operator and the same has already been forwarded to the concerned party.

                    Its been over a week and the same has not been addressed.

                    Please help me with a solution to these unwanted SMS's.

                      I made a recharge for Mobile no [protected] of Rs 500 on 3 jun from my citibank credit card through internet banking which was successful but the amount did not credited to the mobile then i tried again for Rs 300 it also got successful and the amount this time got credited.

                      But in my monthly credit card statement i was charged for both the transactions whereas only Rs 300 amount was credited and not the Rs 500 amount.

                      I made complaint on both ends citibank and airtel but citibank people said airtel have claimed for 500 Rs amount dats why they have charged me in the credit card statement.
                      Airtel Customer Exec told me to go the Airtel Shop where i need to show the Credit card statement and Airtel complaint no . and they will refund the amount or will credit it to my mobile. But actually they just refused to do that and just put a complaint again.

                      So despite me complaining to the Airtel Customer Care arnd 10 times .they have not still credited the amount.

                      Every time they say they will resolve the matter in 24 hrs time but actually they do nothing they are just fooling the customers

[protected] from my another connection, its amazing caller tune get started automatically and after few mintues one girl has picked the phone, she is from KARTARPUR (DISTT Jalandhar) Punjab and told me as she has brought this number by paying Rs. 100.00 as new connection, its shocking to me, how could all this happen, this is my life long number and i'm using from last 5 years and AIRTEL has given to another person, i wants my number back immediatley as its spoiling my market values and image. I had three connections of AIRTEL vide nos. [protected], [protected], [protected] on my name first one using my me second by my younger brother DHIRAJ Gupta later he had too converted the number from postpaid to life long and third or last number using my father has cancealed postpaid connection last few months back.

                            AirTel — Prepaid card blocked

                            I have taken an airtel prepaid card ([protected]). After one month my outgoing was blocked and finally the sim got blocked. Inspite of resubmitting the documents, and escalating the issue to the next levels, I couldnt retain the number. Thanks to Airtel, I lost a job offer.

                              I am staying in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. I have an airtel mobile connection. The network signal is very poor inside my apartment and even other apartments in Indirapuram. Airtel has done nothing about it even after so many complaints that me and my friends have made.

                              This is correct. Airtel has a very poor coverage in Indirapuram. I have also called their helpdesk several times and have informed them about it but they have not done anything.

                              I am also staying in Indirapuram and it is impossible to stay connected for more than 5 minutes on my Phone. This is not an issue with my phone as I have two Airtel Connections and both have same problem

                              NO USE OF COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS TO AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE.I ALREADY TRIED 100 TIMES.
                              Vodafone is better than Airtel in terms of signal strength but it too have some problems many times.
                              Can any one please suggest which Operator provides good signal here at Indrapuram area.

                                    I am from Silvassa, my Mobile no. was [protected]. I have bought Airtel card and used the service for 1 month. As I suffers from the heavy loaded bill amount, suddenly I stopped the service. According the customer care, I paid extra money. As they ensure me that to return it back within 15 days. I have to collect 407.0/- from them. Also they send the extra bill to me even I stopped the service. Still i have not received the money from them for 2 months. Whenever I visit to the Airtel office in Silvassa, they are not giving me confirmation about the money refund and refusing me to tell the status. They are just telling me to wait for 45 days.

                                      Hello,

                                      I have a Airtel Landline connection with Broadband network since 2006.
                                      Now, I have shifted my residance and requested Airtel to cancel my landline connection.
                                      In turn, Airtel offered some concessations to retain the connection and free of cost for shifting with new telephone number.
                                      I have also agreed for the transfer on 18.04.2009.
                                      In the same week, some wiring work is happened in my new residance and they left with incompleted work with a assurance of completing in the next day. Airtel allotted some new numbers twice and when I checked with 121 assistance, I was told that no number was allotted.

                                      After many follow up with 121 and branch office visits, nothing is happened so far.
                                      When ever I contacted the 121, I got a response of the connection will be given with in 24 hours.

                                        I had taken a prepaid sim on Mon 5/25/2009 from a shop near by my office cybergateway hi tech city, Hyderabad. i gave the necessary documents& my account was activated within less than 30 minutes of my taking the sim. Than all of a sudden i get a sms from airtel that my application for the new prepaid connection has been rejected on 2nd june at 10:41 am (IST) & by the evening my outgoing calls are barred. at night when i call 121 customer care, they give me complaint number[protected].when i inquire, after getting the call escalated to the third level the manager customer service says that the documents which i submitted are not proper & hence my outgoing calls were barred.
                                        Now the things which i submitted to the shop keeper are :
                                        1) My employer ID card
                                        2) My PAN card
                                        3) My Ex-voter's ID Card from orissa
                                        4) A letter from my employer, on the company letter head regarding my current residing address with my house owner's name.
                                        5) A recent photograph

                                        Now their stand is something like a passport with the current address given in the application, driving license, landline phone bills- BSNL( on my name), electricity bills on my name, Ration card or gas connection on my name should be given. Else it has to be signed & attested by a gadgeted officer.

                                        I dont understand that a person who is not a native of the place who cannot have any of these documents... can't he/she be given a damn prepaid sim... they are just finding new ways to harass the customer. & their customer service team is so pathetic that it cannot come clearly what it wants to convey.

                                        Airtel Prepaid Connection — Calls Barred

                                        I got one airtel prepaid sim card on 10th march 2008.I got it 2 months validity and call value worth Rs 2000.I submitted my electricity bill as verification document. But still my outgoing call were barred and i still have Rs 1700 left in it which i cant use for my official work.

                                        Airtel Prepaid SIM — Prepaid connection not allowing outgoing calls

                                        I bought a Airtel Prepaid Connection on my name Niranjan Bagh, Jaykaypur on[protected] with Life Time facility. The problem is that I am not able to place any outgoing calls. Incoming is fine. It is giving an error - Call Barring Active. I talked to the distributor a number of times at Rayagada, Orissa, but he is not responding.

                                        Airtel Prepaid connection( New) — Unable to get the calls

                                        Yesterday I got the new connection of the Airtel Prepaid and the Number I got is [protected].
                                        I am able to receive the calls from the Airtel Mobile but not from Airtel Landline and other service providers. As soon as the other party dials he gets "this telephone is not existing".

                                        I made the oral complaint to Customer care on the same day, i.e 15th Oct 08 and today morning at 6.00am, 6.15am and at 8.45am they are saying it will take upto 22nd October. What is this irresponsible service.

                                        I took a new airtel prepaid connection on[protected], submitting my photograph and voter i card xerox. i got a call from airtel on 25.10.2008 saying that i needed to give a local address proof.I submitted the same, i.e my house agreement xerox to airtel customer care office in vijayangar bangalore on 28.10.2008.

                                        I am a student of engg. college in Ranchi and bought AIRTEL SIM on 22nd September of Rs.99 giving my address proof as the bonafide certificate of my institute after that on 3rd October recharged it with lifetime recharge coupon of Rs. 298 .


                                        On 15th Oct calls are barrted and they asked for re documents.I send the re documents 2 times in firstly affixing the same bonafide certificate and permanent address then they again rejected the re documents then I submitted the documents by affixing the Driving Licence .After that also my SIM has not activated and they said that the no. is deleted cause its too late to come the forms to them.

                                        Respected sir/ Madam i have got airtel prepaid sim before one week this sim no.is [protected] but without any reasion the all outgoing calls from this no. yet not started till date.
                                        so this is request to you kindly look in to the matter immediatlly and slove this problam.

                                        Airtel Prepaid — barred outgoing

                                        my number is [protected].they have cut outgoing for two days because of proof.they are saying that from another number they called airtel costumer they tell to block my number.i have asked airtel customer from which number they blocked my number.she tell rajeswari number is [protected] from this number they have blocked.then i have called to rajeshwari she tells my cell is stolen by someone.so i tell to block my number.but i have not tell your number.i dont know how is happend.but she is in karur.but my native is kumbakonam.i am asking airtel customer care officer.how is it possiable.please take action i want reply sir

                                        Recently i have taken a pre-paid connection. my No. is [protected]. I have lodged a complaint on 17.1.2010 regarding the same to the airtel prepaid service and my complaint no. is[protected]. But till dated i am unable to make any outgoing call. Please do the needful. I had many times talked to your pre-paid customer care but they are not help me out. they just say please hold and after holding 15-20 minutes they just disconnect. These customer care people are bringing bad name to your company. please do the needful so that i can actively use my no. [protected]and take strict action against the customer care representatives who are not sorting out the problems of your valuable customers.

                                        Prepaid connection — Outgoing call blocked

                                        Hello Sir/Madam

                                        This is Shailendra Gautam,
                                        I purchase a prepaid Sim from Bharmaur, Distt-Chamba and i submitted all the documemts asked by shop.
                                        My phone worked only for 15 days than after outgoing call blocked without intimation. I called the shopkepper who could not reply appropriately than i called to helpline where i could get the answer that i did not submitted the documents. I asked the shopkeeper, he replied i am trying and my paper have been submitted, if possible pl. intimate me about the progress.

                                        i purched airtel sim with prepaid plan,irechared with 110 rs on 9th april and my out going calls even complaint 121 also barred. when i dial any no. the massege shown is check operater services.

                                        Airtel Prepaid Connection — Outgoing calls barred

                                        I took a prepaid airtel connection([protected]) two months back( August 2010) by submitting my proof of identity and photo at my nearby airtel office. Two days back my incoming and outgoing calls were barred giving the reason "Customer Verification failure". I called the customer care and told them the problem. They said they will rectify the problem within 24hrs. Then the incoming was activated but still the outgoing calls and sms is blocked. Again i called the customer care, they said my problem will be solved by November 8th. I did'nt expect such a bad service from airtel. What is the purpose of mobile phone if the outgoing is barred. Please help me out. Thanks in advance for considering my complaint
                                        My name is Sreekrishnan. Even I am facing the same problem. I am not able to make calls from my number. The interesting part is that I took the sim just 2 weeks back and submitted all the required documents at that time. Now I have been asked to resubmit the documents. Now I am not able to make or receive any calls from my number. Please help me put. Its very very urgent.
