I am using Airtel GPRS Internet service on PC through mobile pocket data modem connectivity (mobile office) since last 1.4 year. From last 1 month, I am facing GPRS connectivity problem. After every 2-3 minutes GPRS connection disconnected automatically. While contacting customer service dept.(121) they says, the technical work is going on at Kalyan- Dombivli tower & problem will be solve within 24 hrs. (from last one year I am hearing same answer).
This problem is not my cell problem. I had checked it with different handsets (4 types). My 2 friends also facing same problem.
Second problem is one side communication. After getting or connecting a call only one member could listen opposite side members voice.
Many times I got message 'network busy' & 'error in connection' while making a call.
Could Airtel answer, when they are going to solve these problems?

Even I contacted them. Spoke to one of the Sr. Execz from Customer care...

Seems there is no ETA... least we can expect is 2 motnhs from today :(

Airtel — INTERNET ON PC THROUGH GPRS

I M NOT GETTING CORRECT SETTING TO GET START MY INTERNET ON MY LAPTOP FROM THE TECHNICAL CARE CENTRE. CUSTOMER CARE CENTRE ALWAYZ PUT THE CALL ON HOLD AND NOT PROVIDING SATISFACTORY RESPONSE. LINES ARE VERY BUSY WHICH OFTEN IRRITATES A CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES TAKES LOT OF TIME IN GIVING SETTINGS AND IT DOES NOT GIVE ANY FRUITFUL RESULTS.

VERY BAD SERVICE. IT SHOULD BE MONITORED BY HIGHER AUTHORITIES.

it's really "BAKWAS" INTERNET CONNECTION.
Facing same problem in my area since one year. Network signals are fluctuating in ashok vihar phase-4, delhi and noone is interested to solve it. No complaint number isgiven by the gprs department. Past complaints are closed and a new complaint is raised every time you call. Past records older than 2 months are erased from their system. There is only online help service while there should be onsite service for the complaints. Always they blame the handset or the pc of the customer to be defective. They even do not maintain their records properly and repeatedly ask the same questions like is the service working in other area. have you tried the service from other mobile or other pc. etc.
Better to use a broadband connection.
Moreover false speed promises are made. Actual browsing speed is never more than3-4 kbps while downloading speed is less than 1kbps while they always promise 5-10kbps downloading speed and 30-40kbps browsing speed. They say if the mobile is edge enabled, the speed will be doubled. These are white lies. They are unable to provide edge service. And their systems of gprs are outdated.

Airtel GPRS(mobile office) — Connection problem

Airtel provide Edge for providing internet service to desktop & laptops through mobile phones.

I was trying to use it for last 4 months in my area i.e. bhyander.

1st i can able to connect but it was so slow maximum during the night that a page og google need 10 min to open.

i complained & after that the edge range has gone from my area . So no connectivity.

everyday i complain & they fail.


i have also tried to use it in andheri worli area .only it is fast when we are near tower .its horrible.

so frnds please dnt use it.
Sir i am in roaming and I am use airtel gprs on mobile nokia 3120c success ful but a problem:) that i want use gprs net on my pc. When i connect gprs with pc that show this massage (pocket data subscribe dispu )
Sir, when i connect my pc to internet using airtel SIM it works only for 2-3 minutes and then a message comes that generic host process for WIN 32 services encountered a prob and needs to close pl tell microsoft about this prob and after that data transfer is stopped i.e. internet is aborted

ya exactly in evry 2-3 minutes there is a message packet data connection is ended WITH EVERY TIME 9-10 DIGIT RANDOM NUMBERS ARE DIALLED AUTOMATICALLY..."FINALLY...KEEP CONNECTTING WHOLE THE DAY..."

    I took a prepaid connection from Airtel (Chakala Outlet Mumbai)almost two years back and changed the same in to postpaid for which I pais Rs 599 as caution money. After a few months i shifted the same no ([protected]) in to life time prepaid card. When i enquired about the caution money it had been told to me that within 45 days i w'd be getting a cheque for the same amount. But it's almost a year that i have not got the money back. I complained at chakala branch and had been promised of some action but nothing has been done till date. i am surprised that an ITES co. like AIRTEL is failing either on MIS front or does not want to give its customer money back.

      I have been having an airtel connection since the last 5 years and always thought that airtel was the best. What I did not know was that it is the best only so long as it is working. If there is a problem, dealing with the dumb customer care execs and the gallery is a royal pain.
      Last month I lost my phone and lodged a complaint to block the card. It was done in a reasonable time. Now, the problem to get a new card and reactivate. I had to go to Airtel gallery to submit an application. I did this at Ghatkopar and was told that the service would start in 4 hours. The 4 hours became 24 hours and after hanging on to the helpline like for ever, without any result, I had to again go to the gallery. After another assurance, I returned and still no signs of it starting. Once more I trooped to the gallery and this time, I refused to leave till he ensures it starts. So, finally it does, Thank God!
      Now, starts the next problem. Since it was being used by my son who is now a major, I wanted to get the billing done in his name. I was asked to give so many details and after all this, was given a reference number. Again the follow up starts and I am assured that it will be done within 7 days, 10 days... All the while, there is not a single call from their side, asking for additional info, papers etc. After a month, no change in the name and on following up now, I understand that the service record has vanished and again I have to start the procedure all over again and submit the required papers. IS THIS SERVICE???

      Hi Service Team,

      Three months back I have converted mi SIM from prepaid to post paid.

      I receive my first bill well in advance before due date.
      Second bill I didnt received yet.

      Third bill due date is tomorrow, I havent received yet.

      I only get alerts on mobile and I pay bill.

      I want a copy of bill to be sent to my address well in advance before due date.

      Airtel — Reduction of balance without any cause

      On 10 july 2008 my balance got reduced from rs 89 to rs 58 without any cause.when i called customer care they answered differently.when i said them that i will complain to consumer forum they send me a message that your hello tune will be activated.but i have never requested them to activate hello tune.
      I m getting a message, "please insert SIM" since last week even though SIM is inside the phone. And all of sudden after few hours my SIM got activated. This is still happening to me. So please suggest me what to do in this problem.
      3 weeks ago i got a phone call fron airtel call centre for postpaid connection, i called up the executive and made payment of 1800/- cash for our prepaid to postpaid connection, executive gave me 3rd copy of the form as a recipt but till a date we have not recived our cards or any query from that number, the girl is not attending our call also, we a purchased 3 cards for Rs.600 per, that girl named soniya and number is [protected] we had not recived any information of our connection or card from thatside.

      Please help us for this, we had facing many problems from our home for this reason please take some action for this frods

      I am Airtel user since last two years...initially I was using prepaid; now I am using postpaid services. I did not face any major problem till 6 month back. Now the situation is such at Networks comes & goes anywhere anytime.

      It is difficult to contact customer care, even it I reach customer care executive, he says you need to dial some other no and dial the same case no again. I have been trying this since last 15 days. I am busy therefore could not do to Airtel gallery. Once reached it was closed (Malad).

      I have already switched over to other user and trying to cancel...not successful till date.

So I rushed to the nearest airtel galary, where a person informed me that my number has been deleted and I have to take the new number. Both stated that they don't have any record and asked to contact the airtel galary. After that I lost my patience and advised the supervisor to keep it up the same thing and loose the customers one by one.

      I have registered with your company through post paid connection since last 1 year.

      I am really faid up due to this. Finally I have decided to lodge a complaint with the consumer court.
      I am sure by doing this, only poor customer care will get improve.
      Most important thing is that for the sake of attracting the more customers this conncection service companies are using these words such as customer Care, Any Time, Any Where Customer care.
      These all words are of no use if the customers are treated like this.
      As a fade up customer, now I am having only option to lodge the complaint with consumer court.

      I have been given TM services of COMEDY JOKES with out asking and charged Rs.30/. I have never used this service any time. if you talk to 121 you here all nonsence computerised messages.i have also been given the service of GPRS without asking for it and RS.100 deducted. kindly arrange to stop both the services and redeposit the amount in my account or I shall approach cutomer care cell.

      Airtel has provided campus card, in these cards you can talk Rs.10 pise per mint. This facility available for 6 months after extend validity by recharging Rs.156 for Six Months validity without any talk time rates. I have recharged as per the same valid till 23rd Nov'09. Now I am getting this facility after refile talk time Rs.30 as I need. But few days back Airtel charging me normal rates Rs.1/- per per mints. I have gave complaint. My reference no. is [protected] (19th Oct'09). But call center helpless to solve the problem, they are giving me different different reasons - Darshan - Our System unable to update because it is hang, he will update me after done via sms. Airtel Glory at Chakkala Andheri (E), they also helpless, they said me the same.

      Now today I called up Customer Care 121, they told me your validity is exp. and transferring line to speak with superior but they put me on hold, no buddy response. (My validity will be exp. on 23rd Nov09 and normal rates was started from 17th Oct'09). After some time I am trying the same no. but they block this no. after put telecall to sms my problem on 121.

      This is not right way to handle customer.

      This is happing with my wife's phone (I am not mentioning her no.)

      If I will not get any reply from Airtel Team I will go to consumer court. Because If I will not do this same will happen with other customer (My No. [protected])
      Airtel is chg me for all the services like comedy and jokes without my permission, every time they dedcut RS 15 fm my account .
      Pls provide ur idotic services only after customers approval .

      Airtel Prepaid Service — Airtel Service became Unreliable

      I am S.Poonkuntran, Airtel Prepaid Subscriber, from Tamilnadu. My number is [protected]. I am using this number from the past four years. Since, I shifted to Kerala in the last November 2008; I am currently using this number in roaming. From the past three months, the value added services are activated in my number without my permission. The amount is also debited from the account. Whenever, i found this problem, I contacted the customer care. They credited the amount back in my account and said that this will not come again. But it is still coming. Recent problems are as follows. On 18th Nov 2009, I received one message. It said that my friendz chat id is[protected]. I shocked. Then i checked the services in my mobile using 121. It said that Frinedz Chat is activated in your mobile. But, I did not activate the service. Then I contacted customer care of Kerala and Tamilnadu. I tried twice the Kerala customer care. They didn't reply. Finally today (21stNov2009), Kerala Customer care told that we only deactivate the services. They cannot credit the amounts. For that they told me to contact the Tamilnadu customer care. Then services have been deactivated. Then, no one replied for amounts debited.
      When, I contacted the Tamilnadu customer care today (21stnov2009), they told that they will reply on or before 24thnov2009. While contacting customer care, they are putting lots of advertisement talk. It is too bad. They are indirectly trying to irritate the customers, so that they will not call them. Why can’t they give the direct number to contact the customer care officers? Whenever, we are calling customer care, it is taking minimum 5 minutes to get the officer. If they are busy no probs. But connecting to the officer itself, asking lots of menu. This is clearly showing that indirect technique to make the people to do not call the customer care.
      Meanwhile, I sent the mails to nodal offices also. They are also not responding. They are asking details only. Simply, they are saying it will take 24 hours. I do not what they are going to do in 24 hours. So far, I didn't receive the proper response towards this. Only services have been deactivated. However, there is no assurance to proper balance maintenance in my number and future .Hence, I am not recharging also. Now, my balance is Rs.1.21. You can understand how can I attend or make the calls in roaming. All calls are charged in roaming. I told them to contact me in another local contact number. For this, Kerala customer care said ok and taken the number. But Tamilnadu customer care said that there is no such facility. What type of integrity over the branches in the AIRTEL? Now Airtel service became unreliable. Beware of Technical Frauds. Only few o[censored]s know the technical things. In that also many o[censored]s are not checking the balance also. I inform everyone to check your balance. Think about other peoples who don’t have any idea of mobile phone services.
      I kindly request the concerned authorities to take the necessary action towards this. Otherwise, total reliability of Airtel will be lost. I hereby am giving one things to all customers of AIRTEL. Beware of such things. I want to be the last person affected by this problem.

      Airtel Mumbai — Balance is getting deducted for unknown reason

      Hello,
      I switched to 1paisa/sec plan (pre-paid) a few days back.
      I paid Rs. 64 and got the talk time of Rs. 50.
      In the evening when I checked the balance, Rs 10 were less!
      And I didn't make a single call during the day.
      It's not even a week and now, my balance is Rs. 5 only.
      And I have hardly used a sum of Rs 10 out of it.
      I don't know why the money is getting deducted from my account.
      And as others have complained, when I call on customer service number 123, there is no option to talk to the customer care executive.

      I have been suffering due to poor airtel network in my house as well as office since 2 years and have complained a number of times. But it's futile.
      Now a days, the network has improved a little, but now my money is being wasted for nothing.

      I have been with Airtel only for the reason that I don't want to change my cell number.
      But now I'm fed up of Airtel and if I don't get a solution, I'll soon switch to some other service provider.

      Please help.

      Just a thought... Even I am bored of airtels snacks & bits looting of money... They just start a service charge you & when u complain they say that they will rrefund but we don't receive any refund we just keep waiting and forget thinking that 10 bucks, 50 bucks is small amount lets forget but 10 bucks from 10 million customers give the company profit of 100 million and we get only frustration...

Can nobody can make a forum where we can complain and it will be taken to consumer court group by group so that the airtel guys will take our complains seriously..

      Just a thought... Even I am bored of airtels snacks & bits looting of money... They just start a service charge you & when u complain they say that they will rrefund but we don't receive any refund we just keep waiting and forget thinking that 10 bucks, 50 bucks is small amount lets forget but 10 bucks from 10 million customers give the company profit of 100 million and we get only frustration...

      Just think about it and now lets act...
      have taken a new airtel No [protected] not yet activated i have given all the papers required on the jan 22 09 and no sign of the card being activated need urgent help in the same the service levels are really deteorating sorry to say this even after your airtel gallery promises within an hour it will be activated there is no sign of activation.

      Airtel — unknown balance reduction

      There has been an unknown balance reduction from my airel no. [protected].
      Customer care officials dont know yet anything about this reducion.An extremely delayed action has been promised to be taken,bt its just as usual.Earlier also i had made a lot many complaints due to unwanted balance reuction on my prepaid airtel number,bt no satisfacory consult or action was taken upon it.
      The officials are requested to look upon this matter,and DO NOT earn this way from your customers,or else they'll only be the one who will be loosing there customers.
      Hi, I am SB Singh. We have 6 connection of airtel in my family. My complains are :

      - After repeated complaint for do not disturb I used to get sms and call regularly on my prepaid number [protected].
      -, My plan is 1 paise per second but always it deduct one paise more and even two paise more than the actual talk time. If you say that there may be difference of fraction of a second but not two seconds. After repeated complaints to your customer care nothing is being done. It is either to make fool to customer or may be your business policy. Please clarify ?
      - Today I just talk to your customer care ex. a lady. Her behaviour and attitude is not correct. She has not solved the problems to the satisfaction of the customer and just disconnected the call.
      You are requested to take action against your inefficient lady executive or we will take our action against your co through legal way.

      Airtel — Deduction of balance for some unknown SMS

      My mobile phone currency is being deducted everyday 3 or 4 rupees by unknown SMS cost. I don know why I am getting deducted and I don know how to stop it. I have not given any authorization to any organization to deduct for any unknown service.

      It has been deducted from my prepaid
      balance amount at the rate of rs. 1/- per message, you continue
      to do so illegally and coercing me to bear the unwarranted charges.

      please do stop doing this to my mobile, failing which i am constrained to point out

      I was using Airtel service since 2003 in Mumbai. and because poor connectivity & service, discontinued their service. Sent email to them several times and called the call center for the refund of the security money (Rs. 6000/- + ) for international roaming & higher credit limit which I had deposited at their service center earlier - now, they are not even having a curtsy to call back or reply back or refund! Airtel seems truly pathetic to me now though I was having a good impression about them.
      now I switched to other service provider and really enjoying the good service including blackberry service.
      Just thought of sharing this in this forum.

        Dear sir,

        Since three years i am a postpaid customer of Airtel. I am happy with your services extended but now i am sorry to say that i am not happy with your services because everyday i received new offer packages and other offer messages through sms from Airtel Customer care. Three months before i received message mentioning that if i call more than 100 rupees i will get the discount of Rs-60/-And if i call more than 50 rupees i will get the discount of Rs-20 for my next bill . I receved this message two months continously .My bill amount is coming always more than Rs- 500/- As per your message i will eligible for getting the discount of Rs-120 /- But my next bill i didn't get any discount so i contacted your customer care Number-121 several times .more over as per your customer care executives instruction i went personaly to your Airtel Main Office at Elamkulam- Cochin .After that two months continously i contacted your customer care but there is no response from their side.Why this world famous company is giving this type of messages to the customer and not keeping thier word? Is it fair from your side? I am expecting a positive and immediate action from your side in this regard.

          One of my family member named (Sh.Surjit Singh) is the customer of Airtel is getting Unwanted VASPACK Activation continuously. Recently in my cell this was activated without any prior intimation. As I was never requested for such schemes & Rs.50/- and Rs.30/- was deducted from my balance amount.
          So I Kindly request you further don’t do any such nonsense of any type of schemes to the above mentioned mobile number. When I was about to complaint regarding my problem to the customer care through my cell I was not able to complaint through my cell.

          So please look up the matter and do the needful to get back my deduction amount & not to face such nonsense in future.

            Respected Sirs,

            On[protected] I received a message from AIRTEL that my "Hello Tunes" has been renewed for further 90 days though my Hello Tune is not working since last 25 days. In fact I didn't call them and also not received any confirmation call for renewation of Hello Tunes for any such aforesaid period. On getting such a message, I immediately called 121 (i.e. the Customer Care Dept. of Airtel) for explanation for this along with complaint of other excess billing charges, the Executive named "Siddharth" had given a number[protected] for de-activation of this service. When I called this number, there was a voice-mail as "this number is not valid, please check the number and dial again". Then again I called 121 and told the Executive about this problem and he replied me that the system is in up-gradation mode, hence he is unable to proceed further and asked me to call up within 1/2 hour. After 1/2 hour when I called them and asked them to de-activate my Hello Tune, they again gave the same number[protected] and along with this they promised me that I will get a call-back from Airtel by giving a Request Reference No.[protected],[protected] and they assured me that I will get a call-back service within 4 hours. But till today (i.e.[protected] at around 12 noon I did not receive any call-back, hence I called them again asked for the resolution for my complaint/request. Now they are taking the stand that "you will receive the call-back service and the resolution within 24 hours or if you want immediate resolution, call [protected]".

            Now when I called this ([protected]) number, the Executive has told me that my complaint/request would get resolved and asked me that if I have any further/more complaints. Then I further made a request for call back service from Airtel regarding billing issues as my billing issue has not got resolved. But the Executive talked to me very rudely and repeatedly asked for what purpose I want call-back service. I repeatedly told her that this is all about billing issue, but she didn't try to understand. Now I am feeling like a mentally harassed person as I was repeatedly calling to the various numbers of the Customer Care of Airtel, but neither getting the proper person to understand my problem nor the problem is getting resolved. This type of mental agony I am facing every month and now I want to change my number, but as there is no number portability facility, I could not do the same. Had there any authority to regulate this type of corrupt and irresponsible service providers and to help us (common people) to get a good customer services ?

            Please help me out to get good, justified, satisfactory and proper services from these Service Providers much less AIRTEL.

              I had a phone no.[protected] with Airtel, Delhi, As I moved to other city, I canceled my connection. I also got an acknowledgement for my cancellation, but then after some days my friends and relatives started getting calls from Airtel saying that I havent paid my phone bill. When i tried calling that number, it was a board number and they never connected me to the concerned person.
              Then, one day my parents got a call from someone mentioning that they HSBC bank (my bank) and have some urgent business totalk to me. She gave her phone number too. I talked to that lady, and then she says Madam I am not from HSBC, but I am from Airtel you havent paid your bill and even your phone is switched. When i told her saying that Icanceled my connection in April and if there is any bill due for me, please send me the details. She said she was sorry about the confusion and I wont be disturbed in future.
              Now, again somebody called my sister mentioning that they are from my previous employer. They got my number and tried to harass me regarding bill payment.

              I called up your call center and they mentioned that even though I
              canceled my connection on April 17th, it was not done due to the
              negligence on your end. They canceled the connection only in July and charged the May and June bill to me, which your database shows has not been paid to me. Now, the point is that though I have registered for e-bill, I never received any bill.

              I wrote all this to Airtel and then again on 26th September, I got a call from Tees Hazari Court at 12:30 p.m., Delhi mentioning that some case has been filed against me and I have to be present in Court on that day before 2 p.m.

              I told them i never got any notice and they said we gave it to your address and you were not there. I mentioned i was not staying in that address from last 6 months. Then they said whatever you do, its not my concern and you can talk to advocate Mr. A.K.Sharma on [protected].

              When i talked to Mr. Sharma, he mentioned that i havent paid a bill worth Rs. 1693, then he mentioned that I should be in court before 2p.m. or else I will have to pay fine worth Rs.23, 000.
              I told him I have already had many conversations with Airtel on this, and when they are not giving me any bill. how can i Pay it??
              he is like i dont know what happened between you and Airtel, but if you dont pay this amount + rs.1100 as legal charges at Airtel Relationship center today before 2p.m., we will have to take further action.

              I rushed to the Airtel Relationship center with just one hour to go, leaving my office work and in such mental stress.

              These guys are criminals and they must pay for the harassment and defamation they caused to me.

                i m in delhi .i opted for al/l and b/band plan but die to my computer devlopng snags cd use b/bnd only in feb 2008.since b/bnd costs rs 99/mnth plus taxes i opted to get ther same disconnected erlier but then my line itself was disconncted. now on 15th sept 0-8 i asked -in writing -to disconnect the same and not to charge me for dial tones @rs30/mnth plus taxes.after inuumerable calls from airtel AGAIN my connection-and not b/bnd has been disconnected.i hv been devoting at least 1 hr/day from other(paid) lines to complain as my own phn is deadthe latest being compl no 12085170of 24th.its obvious-you dnt scrutinise billsa and keep on pying fr whatever is billed or face incnvnce, i hv a mtnl line but got it 1 way-only incmng- since i took airtel and am thus completely cut off whn my husbnd and dtr hvng mobiles leave home

                    I have been reading complaints about this service provider, which, in fact was 'nt really quite off mark. I fully appreciate the views of the respondents of this web site. Let me put my views this way - Air Tel entered into the foray at the time BSNL was crippled with corruption, HUTCH charging much higher monthly bills for equal no. of calls, and CDMA operators - Tata and Reliance had nothing remotely to offer as close to those cheap multimedia cell phones which GSM offered off the shelf. Air Tel with only a hand ful of installed transmitters, competitive call transfer rates, obviously became the default choice. But a shabby and not carring customer service, which may be alright as a business strategy, could not, for long, live up to the expectations of their valued subscribers, as those subscribers felt literally let down- well most of them!

                    Airtel — Miserable Customer Service

                    This one is Sunil Bharti Mittal & other irresponsible Airtel top executives.

                    Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal;

                    Words cannot express the way you have let me down as a consumer & a customer of 3 of Airtel services for over 5 years. I have given up completely on your customer service department; be it for broadband, mobile services or DTV; it simply is hopelessness, a shallow abyss. Please use a regular Airtel mobile (not your super privileged one), call one of your call centers & have a first hand experience.

                    I started writing this mail a month ago; however couldn’t finish for some reasons. The problems I was facing with Airtel DTH, Airtel Prepaid Mobile & Airtel Broadband are gone for now. And I am enjoying the service temporarily; however deep down in my head I have this tingling intuition that whenever your truly good product (DTH, prepaid & BB) fails again; I will have to connect with your miserable, pathetic, annoying, unhelpful, ‘diligently working against the customer care’ call centre specialists. Every single person taking calls for Airtel, whichever service it be; is a rude, condescending, uneducated, ‘too-busy-to-help’ useless piece of art work.

                    Where do you find these people?
                    Who trains these wood heads?
                    Do they have no shame?
                    Do you* have no shame?

                    I wonder why is it impossible to approach you, who do you think you have become; you sell a product ( no doubt a good product) & then you are not there to answer when I am troubled with your product. Why is it such a humungous deal to get any little thing sorted?

                    You have established your reputations as a philanthropist; you go & distribute charities; have you ever thought of distributing an ear to those who enable you be a philanthropist enough. The service you provide for the money I pay or any other customer pays you is shameless image of ignorance. A cunning business like you doesn’t need anyone to tell that businesses thrive upon personal relationships; & you are scoring negative in this. I am stating an unofficial consensus. I am looking for a different service provider, I will definitely go. I am not looking for compensations; what I am looking for is change, which is impossible for ‘you’ to deliver; so don’t sweat! But I do want to be heard. I am going to speak; here to you, at home, at work; wherever I can cause you a loss of a customer or a probable customer one at a time. I promise you that.

                    * I am not only referring to Mr. Mittal but to all the equally ignorant top executives with fat pay checks.
                    I sympathize with you. I'm having a similar (much worse) experience with Airtel. My complaint regarding the faulty STB is now pending for 2 weeks. Refer to http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/airtel-c557427.html for details.

                    Good luck if you choose to subscribe to any of Airtel's services/products. Mr Mittal is not interested in hearing consumer complaints.

                      i was trying to join an existing friends group. till after giving password, it didn't allow me to join the group. id tried a lot.but no use at all. it only gives me error messages.
                      Dear sir,
                      15 rs. are diducted from my A/c.This is happened 3 times with me.When i complent to customer care, i have refunded 15 rs. 1st time.But later my complent was ignored.When i requested to cause of diduction then they said that "i've download contet from net".But the web site Fusion Lough allows to download any 2 content free.So why diduction takes place.
                      I want resson for my A/c diduction.
                      And i can't contact to airtel customer care.When i press 9 to talk with customer care executive then i heards another recording.So send me a sollution for it.
                      My airtel friends scheme got end today and i want to reactivate it..

                        There has been no service today ie 25 sep 08. All calls get a constant message that the number doesnt exist. What is the problem. Least that u can do is have the cutomer service at least activted that is alos at a dead end.

                        I have airtel number since last 5 years but instsntly they disconnect the number .before disconnecting it tey have not given any prior information.Now at Airtel centre rhey are telling that the number went in deletion list they can't help.is this way to serve peoples?

                          I would like it to bring it into your kind notice so that proper investigation can be carried out by MRTPC & justice be done in regards to Unfair / misleading and monopolistic activities carried out by AIRTEL mobile company . I hereby submit brief facts and would pray your good self on behalf of me & millions of other subscribers those who are everyday getting cheated by such false/ misleading / money laundering SMSs’ which we keep getting everyday by luring us to play or use their mischievous services . Below mentioned are the facts and Incase be needed I can appear in person with all e-mails & mobile text messages which I have exchanged with them and vice versa;

                          1) That AIRTEL started a contest called “FESTIVAL DHAMAKA CONTEST-SEPTEMBER “ .In this contest they offered a Ford fiesta car to the highest scorer.
                          2) The contest was open from 5th September 2006 till 12th October 2006 till 11.59 P.M.
                          3) That the call charges for this contest was Rs.6 per minute.
                          4) That I started playing the contest vigorously and with keen interest to win the Prize .
                          5) That I spent my precious time, money, energy and brain to answer their questions .
                          6) That I kept receiving the SMS that my score was in the Top highest group and play more to win the contest.

                          7) That on around 28th September 2006 I started experiencing that whenever I used to dial the contest number 64660, 646 the game would not start and it reverted me back to main menu. I however kept trying again and again but I was really shocked as to what has happened why is this happening to me.

                          8) When I came back to nerves I realized that it is something which is being done deliberately by AIRTEL/ONMOBILE who are closely watching the contest and the scores . The I got suspicious and frantically sent SMS to 121, emails to 121 and email to [protected]@onmobile .com .

                          9) That for few days there was no answer from anybody and I kept crying and barking as by this time I had started feeling that something has gone wrong seriously and this nothing contest but to cheat public who spend Rs.6 per minute and AIRTEL doest care to listen.
                          10) That I got a call from them and Ms.Savita was calling and she said Sir, we are extremely sorry that you are the only one who is experiencing such problem and I would get back to you with a solution that You can play the contest further, let me examine the matter technically. She assured me that they will compensate me if something wrong was from their side. The again they went silent and I sent
                          11) about 100 emails to them ( I have record) & I registered my complain to them on 121 as well.
                          12) Within few minutes after she called me and I tried the contest it started playing
                          13) It is emphatically can be said that contest was under regular watch and under close surveillance by the Contest people to make or mar the chances of genuine contestants & placate their own person to make him win or it can also be taken as they loot the money like this and since they don’t reveal the mobile numbers of winners, may be it is another way of grabbing money .
                          14) Again on the day i.e 12th October 2006 when the last day the contest was to close they gain barred my number at morning 8 a.m whereas the contest was open till midnight. I sent them email at 8a.m but no reply and respite came.
                          15) That I received a call from Ms.Savitha that the highest contestant has scored 17, 00, 770 points so since my score is very low so there is no chance that you are winner.

                          16) That I again told her that such high score is not humanly possible and details may be made available to me in regards to the person who scored such high score, like you provide me the Mobile number and billing details which they agreed that day but next day Mr.Ashish denied that they cant provide me the details.

                          With reference to the above mentioned subject in which I have brought into your kind notice about the unlawful & unjustified manners adopted by AIRTEL company when they offer various luring schemes/offers/prizes/contests.

                          Almost everyday I & all subscribers keep getting various SMSs’ in one disguise or the other with their single objective in mind just to cheat and earn crores of rupees by floating luring SMSs’.

                          The contests are offered in the name e.g GOLD OFFER, TAMBOLA, FESTIVAL DHAMAKA / BUMPER CONTESTS . I have noticed the SMS comes from 646, 64640, 3030 and many more but without numbers .

                          It is kindly requested that stringent warnings must be issued to AIRTEL mobile company not to cheat public and incase they offer they must adhere to the below mentioned stipulations;
                          1) That there should be total transparency .
                          2) That mobile operator whosoever flashes such SMS is wholly/totally answerable to subscriber or one who has played and spent money.
                          3) They should clearly mention about the discrepancies which can happen during the time a contest as long as valid for one month is played.
                          4) They should make sure during the time of contest they should not bar or discontinue the contest from any particular number.
                          5) They should after the contest is over should disclose the name, mobile number of the winner and if be needed billing details of the winner should or may be at the request and incase of any doubt should be made available to the person who is doubting any wrong doing on part of operator.

                          6) That they should incase if needed provide the photographs also for the person who has won the contest . Photos of prize giving ceremony .
                          7) That their entire procedure should be beyond doubts and total trueness and integrity towards subscribers should be the foremost forte of the entire game.
                          Since my earlier complaint is pending with you and I am keenly awaiting your reply in this regards and in order to cleanse the entire process and wrong doings which I have noticed I have given my above suggestions.
                          They are simply in monopolistic situation and treat subscribers’ as I have been cheated and robbed of my money . This is going to be a nuisance and modern day art of cheating unless TRAI intervenes and make sure incase of any wrong doings the operator is punished and subscriber is given its reward due and justice.

I was reading in the news paper article about the success storey of WALMART and gist of the Walmart success was just only that to TAKE CARE OF EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL CUSTOMER’S NEED that he should not leave their store unsatisfied . The result is in front of the world that WALMART became such a mammoth chain of retail strores. What would be the impression of WALMART if the come to know the poor satisfaction level of AIRTEL towards customers and in due course the will surely come to know about if when the matter is highlighted.
                          On the other hand in contrast I am very much peeved the way your officials have conducted in regards to my so many Email, reminders, requests and SMSs’ in context to the above mentioned subject. Is it a was to run away from obligations meant to be discharged to valued customers’ .

                          I am in the receipt of your abovementioned letter and would like to thank you for taking up the matter with M/S Bharti Airtel Ltd. Haryana.

                          As you have directed them to investigate the matter effectively and provide you the findings in the matter within 15 days but it is seen and observed & as expected they have done nothing in this regard .

                          Infact it has been observed and practically been experienced by me that since they are a very big company and that is why they think they are beyond laws & out of reach of any regulations/ terms or any kind of law prevailing within telecom sector.

                          I have with me about 100 emails ( properly received by them ) and same number of SMSs’ to prove my point and guarantee you that I shall prove in front of you as to how they are cheating/looting honest subscribers in the disguise cheating methods .

                          They are in a monopolistic situation and always take refuge & shelter of PRIVACY NORMS of TRAI (they say as per TRAI privacy norms) . Does TRAI have such privacy norms in which real & genuine interests of subscribers are marred, I don’t think so because TRAI has always advocated for fair & Transparent approach to be adopted by cellular companies.

                          A time has really come that TRAI steps in and not only issues stringent warnings to mobile operators to act in a customer friendly manner, to have total transparent norms and if needed cellular companies be imposed heavy monetary fines / their license be suspended pending compliant till the final disposal of the case upto subscriber’s satisfaction.

                          Today SMS has become multi crore revenue generating tool for mobile operators in collusion with Television Channels, press, media & other multi national companies .It is highly desirable that a mechanism is made that mobile operators are answerable to subscribers or whom so ever concerned .

                          In my case I have not only been cheated of thousands of Rupees but it has caused me lot of mental restlessness, botheration and harassment and I want TRAI punishes them in an exemplary manner so that they start knowing the cost of cheating people, otherwise they will keep cheating / looting in similar manner with no shame of LAW of LAND and TRAI directions.
                          An early action is awaited from your side as I am very well convinced that they will go to any extent to tamper their records and to prove their point unless TRAI intervenes and seizes their records at an early date.

                            I have a shop in Pune - Pimpri Chinchwad (Bhosri Area ), which was broken into ( robbed ).
                            Due to this incidence I lost my mobile and my LAPU sim which i was using for E- recharge for my customers. I had registered a F.I.R in local police station and handed a copy of the same to local dealer requesting him to give me another sim for E - recharging as the sim card lost during the theft had a balance of Rs 2000 in it.
                            It is more that one and half months since the incident happened and i still have not received the sim card. After repeated request to local agent and dealer, I have visited main brach office but again i was sent to dealer, after my all effirts i am still struggling, no one is able to tell me where should i go ?
                            Previouly the local agent convinced us that the sim be provided to us very soon. Then he gave us a new sim with new number saying that old sim number and transferring balance amount may take some time so you can use this new sim. But not the new one is still activated nor replacement for old one is given to us.
                            The dealer says that he doesn't have spare sim (Recharge sim -Lapu) and sending me on new addresses everyday for the same .
                            Now a officer in a main branch told me that after 45 days the sim gets blocked and the balance can not be transferred to any sim, ?
                            What does it means, will i have to forget about the balance amount left in old sim.
                            I dont know what to do ? To whom i should complain about ?
                            Please gude me.

                              Hi...can anyone pls provide me the email id of Airtel-Mumbai's CSD-Head, am just sick of their service & am switching over to Vodafone, but before that would like to express my grievence to the higher authority, needless to mention, Airtel Customer Care is full of , who doesnt even understands the problem & shoots pre-formatted replies...strangely Nodal Officer doesnt reply to emails neither his number is free...this is just disgusting...i[censored] guys have email id of Mumbai Circle's CSD or Zonal Head...it would be of great help.

                                This is Mohd. Shshnawaz Akhtar Right Now I Am In Qatar, I Got Air Tel prepared Sim Card Around 2 years ago & i was recharge Rs.999 one time for the life time then i show on my mobile display 20years validity of my sim card when i complain to Air Tel Customer Care and i told him sim validity it should be for life time not only for 20years but it will be increase that i got answer from Air Tal Customer Care.

                                Air Tel Life sim card still with me in Qatar and when i am trying to call my life time number but answer from computer this is not the valid number please check the number and dial again but this happen only from last month, one month ago i was many time try to call on my number and that time i got answer from computer mobile out of coverage area or switched off & it should be like that.

                                Really i can’t understand about this type of services if life time sim card expired within 2years then what is the meaning of life time?

                                I am NRI Employer and i got life time number because its permanent for my Bio Data, no need to update my Bio Data when i am available in india and company can contact me easily, another think when i am coming in india and i can use my life time number from the airport.

                                Please take your necessary action and try to restart my life time number as soon possible.

                                      Air-tel Prepaid Complaint, activating Ring Tone Khaajana never applied for and used regarding

                                      1. I am your valued prepaid Air-tel mobile user.
                                      2. I am unwillfully charged for Ring Tone Khajana @ Rs. 30/- p.m.
                                      from April 2008 onwards which I have never applied for and
                                      never used.
                                      3. I made requests, a number of times to Air-Tel Customer Care
                                      on phone and also through SMS on 543212 to deactivate the
                                      Ring Tone Khajana and not to deduct the subscription from my
                                      account.
                                      4. All my repeated requests were ignored and every month
                                      subscription @ Rs.30/- p.m. was deducted / charged from my
                                      prepaid account without my permission.
                                      5. This act is unfair.

                                      Kindly deactivate the said R T Khajana, stop deducting/charging its subscripotion from my account and post the sum already p.a. and oblige.
                                      and may be remedied immediately.

                                      prepaid service — Set ringtone without my consent

                                      My mobile number is [protected]. Without my consent on 25 february arount 8.30 pm, caller tune has been set and deduct Rupees twenty from my. So I contact on customer care few times they said that on
                                      my request it has been done but when i said that through which mode I have communicate you to do so
                                      then they say that their computer is not showing this.
                                      So I again request you to please let me know through which mode I have requested you to set tune on my phone.

                                      Airtel Prepaid Connection — unfair ringtones download charges

                                      my airtel no is [protected].
                                      from last one months airtel is cutting unfare charges like 10 rs ,7 rs without any requst for ring tone downloads or gprs.


                                      please do some thing is my case, i am airtel customer from 2 years.

                                      Airtel — Ringtone charges without any subscription

                                      Recently Airtel has charged and dedcuted Rs.45 from My talktime and they are saying that i have activated hello tune services.

                                      They are saying that whil dialling mine friend i Have pressed * due to which it got activted.

                                      it its but offcourse that while speaking you press the * Button accidentally.

                                      they are refusing to refune the charges saying that it cant be reversed , just like me thousands of customer are there who are unknowingly charged.

                                      I think this shoud be stopped by AIRTEL as wihtout any confirmation from customer side ringtone should not be activated.

                                        Don’t overcharge me for opting for Auto Debit facility!

                                        1) I have applied for Auto Debit facility a few months back. Last month I was charged Rs.50 as late fee for making late payment. What the hell is this? You charge a customer additional fee just because he is not seeing the bills. Good Job! So the customer is penalized for late processing done by Airtel. The best part is when ever I call Airtel 121, they say I have been making payment through credit card in one of the Airtel outlets and the system is not updated about the auto dedit. Then how the hell the payments are made for the last few month? Awesome job. I need this fixed ASAP. I didn’t expect his from Airtel. Last time I called in Aug Dear Ramadevi told me that Rs.50 would be waived off and gave me the request number. The lady did not do her job as other Airtel Customers service team members. When I called in this month the request was not taken care of. I was surprised that no such request existed. WOW! I spoke to Ramesh Pomma this time. Hope he is at least well trained unlike others. Lets see what happens.
                                        2) I received a call from Chennai Airtel office twice two weeks back about a offer additional Rs.49 that will upgrade my exsisting 128 unlimited broadband plan to 256. I was happy, I said yes to it. I received another confirmation call from Chennai again that the next day, which was recorded per they quality and training purpose and wanted me to confirm that I am ok with the additional charge for upgrade with Rs.49 charge every month. And the upgrade would happen in 2 days.
                                        When I called Airtel customer care today with regard to the previous call, I was told that the Hyderabad office does not have any such offer and they are unaware of calls from Chennai. When why the hell is Airtel Chennai office wasting our time and scamming people. I am sure this is another way to charge additional fees officially by getting a confirmation over the recorded call.

                                        Great Job Airtel.

                                        I hope these issues would be resolved ASAP. Else I have to disconnect all my connections (4 Airtel Post paid and 1 broadband connect immediately.).

                                        And I hope a trained representative handles this issue at least this time.
