It has been almost 4 days that I have been trying to activate Saathi Plan on my Air Tel-Sim Card (as special offer floated by the company in the market), but there has been a very poor response from the customer care executives that I have interacted with. They handle complaints so casually as if the customers have all the time in the world to listen to their crap. I strongly object and recommend that Air Tel Owner's should take strong action before things really go bad. Whenever I called up I asked that I should be connected to the Senior Manager available, but was given the answer to my surprise that he can not come! This has really irritated me a lot and have spoiled my days in a row. I had been using Hutch Services earlier, but till date had not faced any complaints. I was the VVIP customer of theirs and had got all the respect that I expect as a customer. I know writing this also will not make much of a difference, but if you still strive to achieve excellence this mail could be of great help to you and your company as well.

    I have my office in Alpha 1 Commercial belt, Greater noida, UP since July 2006 and ever since i've beed experiencing poor srvice from the airtel network. Vodafone, Idea, Reliance, Tata and BSNL work absolutely fine. I've made a lot of complaints to a lot of people in the company but no one seems to give a damn about it. It seems Airtel is not bothered about complaints made by its subscribers but i guarantee that once the number portability scheme comes into effect, airtel would loose the entire subscriber base in this are and i promise i'll be the first one to do it. Can someone please forward this message to Sunil Mittal...??? The network team and the customer care people are total jerks and they'll just make false promises and are totally not concerned about customer problems!

    I got my son's mob([protected]) recharged for Rs 333/- where as the talk time was Rs.171.37 vide transaction ID[protected] dated 14 Dec 08 at 5.55PM.This appears to be very unfair and needs to be addressed immediately. The cellular operator is here by warned to be careful in future also and now do the refund work soon.

      Dear Aitel Customer service officer,

      I have lost my mobile with Airtel connection having no: [protected] 0n 28-09-08. I have made a complain to airtel office in ECIL Branch and asked the executive to stop/disconnect my connection, he denied. I was told that there is no rules to disconnect the pre-paid connectio. I was shocked. I was in mumbai for two weeks . So now i request you to disconnect my connection for any kind of further harrazement.

        Dear,

        My Name is Prakash Mandal, I have applied for new Air tel Post paid connection. They have given me Mobile no. i.e. [protected] on 10th Oct'08 and assured me that the same no. will be activated within 12hrs time.
        But all are falls commitment. Till now my mobile no. not activated nor respective person i.e. Mr. Manish, Mo. No.-[protected], Mr. Mahendra Jha, Mo. no. [protected] responding.
        I have called them lot of time but they are not bothering about customer problems.

        Pls help me.

APPROACHED YOUR STAFF IN SHIVAJI PARK CUOTMER CARE CENTRE, ON 11TH OF OCT., 2008, WITH A LETTER, BLANK CHEQUE AND SIM CARD. TOKEN NO.74, WINDOW "B' REFERS. EXPALINED STAFF MEMBER WITH A REQUEST TO ACCPEPT CHEQUE FOR CALL CAHRGES ANDSUCHOTHER CHARGES, FILL IN REQUIRED AMOUNT, KEEP THE SIM CARD WITH HIM AND LET ME HAVE CANCELLATION CONFIRMATION.             Work with Hewlett Packard, Bangalore. Took a corporate post paid connection on October 6, 2008 through the Airtel representative Mohammad who sits at the HP Digital Park campus. Account was activated; address verification done; personal verification completed (signature obtained from me). All of a sudden on October 10, outgoing calls have been barred. Reason? Was told documents not submitted. Is it my fault that the Airtel rep does not submit papaers on time???? Between Friday and Sunday have spoken to 7 people from Airtel...they say on record that the account is green yet my service is barred. No one knows the reason...all I get are stupid replies, incorrect answers, incompetent service...and lies!!! This is a corporate account. Does Airtel wish me to get it blacklisted from HP? Will do that. I know no one is listening...and there will be no follow up. Yet am taking this chance...Can I have some effective customer service? Know it is non-existent in India...can someone prove me wrong?????

              Since, the airtel network infrastructure burned down in July 2008, its network coverage has seriously diminished. Especially in Anushakti Nagar-Mumbai where from about 40000 residents, 12000 have an airtel connection. Absoloutely no network coverage in the whole of the colony, leave homes where the network is absolutely zilch, also in open spaces, and you need to run here and there to get a single inkling of overage. Many have started shifting base to odafone as it gives better coverage atleast. Airtel wake up before you lose your customer base and start working on your coverage in mumbai especially Anushakti Nagar

                I am a airtel customer by taking the number [protected] for the last three months. Initially they could not correctly record my add proof, instead sent a mail saying that my number would be disconnected. Despite submitting all the reqd doc while taking connections from a vendor again I resubmitted my photo and add proff. It was going well till 11 Oct 08.

                on 11 Oct 08 evening Irealised my incoming/outgoing voice calls have bee barred. On 12 Oct 08, When I contacted the customer care at Hyd on 121 they replied me that their server is down hence i should call them up after sometime. After 1/2 an hr again I rang up to know the problem, I heard same reply. Then i asked them some time means what whether it is 1min/1hr/1day/1wk/1yr. Then they told me to contact at 3 O clk on 12 Oct 08.
                I need clarifications from airtel on the followings:

                (a) If out / In coming voice calls are barred how can a customer contact them?

                (b) If at all airtel wishes to barr calls they need to inform the customer i.e with in 24 hrs ur no is going to be barred.

                (c) why customer care unable to provide satisfactory reply to a customer when contacted.


                Any way i wish to know where the problem lies whether with my hand set or with Airtel.

                    For the past four weeks I have been charged multiple times for downloading of games, themes and wallpapers from Airtel Live, when in fact I have neither attempted to download anything from Airtel Live nor have I recieved any of the services for which I have been charged.Every notification I have recieved has caused fifteen to ninety nine rupees to be cut from my prepaid balance.During each 'incident' I have recieved four or five such notifications 'thanking' me for downloading of Airtel Live services which I have neither asked for nor recieved.A whopping Rs.200/- have been cut during a single day.The amount would probably have been more, except there was nothing left in my balance to cut.In all I have lost upto Rs.700/- in prepaid charges.Complaints made to customer care have been fruitless and their so-called 'customer sales executives' have been unhelpful.

                      Airtel tap 's the mobile of their customers, record their
                      conversations and provide the info to others which in trun is used for Sexual harrament and for settling personal rivalaries . This unlawfull activity which is against TRAI and Telecom Norms must be curtailed and proper action must be taken against authorities who co-operate in this .

                          Well this is quite incredible. I was staying at Pleasant Park, F-501, Evershine Nagar, Malad West, Mumbai -64. One fine day Airtel broadband Sales officer by the name of Sushil visited us promising a Airtel Broadband connection in 5 days flat. We gave him installation advance cheque of Rs.500/- which after few days got debited. Its been 3 months his mobile number is inaccessible. I did call Airtel helpline a dozen times but all in vain. I have shifted my residence now, forgotten about it thinking of sales number pressure on these sales executives. I hope this does not happen to anybody. Airtel hope you read this...

                          Airtel Broadband — Crab kind service

                          In 2009 I have applied for a new broad band internet connection, then service person approached me, asking for the documents and cheque ( 3000 for the 3 months unlimited), then after few days he called me and said, "there is no ports available in your street, so we cannot provide you the service" and I asked for the money that paid as deposit, then he told "it will be mailed to your address", it was happened in Sept 2009, after one week, I ask the customer care, they took a complaint, after 3 weeks one more complaint, keep on giving new complaints, but I am not getting my money back, I don't have words for them.

                          Can some provide me how can I go for the consumer forum, to file my loss.

                            I got my number registered to NDNC in oct last year but i still get all the promotional calls and sms. I tried calling the Airtel Customer support but they either tell me that there is no such facility or they tell me that they cant do anything about it or they just put you on hold till you hang up!

                            This is frustrating!

                            I lost my Nokia N72 Mobile with Airtel Connection No.[protected] I registered FIR in local police station, Now I went to Airtel office at Sarojini nagar Kanpur UP and submitted FIR Photocopy with ID proof a new SIM[protected]) of the same number was issued to me which is not working and the SIM which I lost is still working. Please Instruct the related officers to solve my problem, the person who got my mobile is still using it so can I get the call details from your office.
                            I am using airtel services from last 3 years. I was happy from airtel services. But from last six months found Airtel Services are very poor or we can say they are always cheating custumers like.
                            1. SMS charges add two or three times in a bill
                            2. Un-necessary value added charges included in bills.
                            And finally there executives are bargaining with custumer on fake charges. The quality of 121 services are very bad. So I request to concern pls. take care the trust on Airtel.

                              I am the user of the your airtel phone +[protected] made the complain regarding the inconvenience of your service.
                              The complain i made in January 2008 and yet on the process and i am facing the same problem constantly. The problem is as follows:
                              Network coverage : though i shows the full network my call could not be reachable and the shows out of network.
                              Call disconnected while the full network... n call drop.
                              not the clear voice coming.. due to the network prob...
                              while in my house.. where ever i am in ahmedabad or in jamnagar while going call if a goes to one room to another room.. my calls get disconnected... or the voice could not hear clearly...so i need to use my mobile as like land line...
                              so i need to call them again and spend the more bugs..
                              Like this is the hikes of problem i am affaried of your services... will you be able to solve it.. or not.. and withing how much time.. n this time would be the final deadline.. otherwise i will sue for the compensation

                              For the further i even made the complain to the nodel officer of airtel.. gujarat but she is also not responding even for my calls and mails and tells me your complain is panding...

                              I am Airtel mobile user for the last 5 years. But for the last few weeks, calls are dropping every few minutes. Many time I come to know that someone was trying my phone but it was unavailable.

                              This is too frustrationg. I feel like disconnecting my services from Airtel. But the worst things is whether another mobile service provider are better or they are also the same...

                              I have raised a network/call drop out issue for my mobile last year jan , but there was no action taken till dated but the complaint was closed this year feb without any notice . I end up in paying 10 calls for making 1 making call, especially STD/ISD . But , no waiver nor the issue was resolved.

                              iam trying to escalate to TRAI , any idea on the complaint nos.? I tried escalating to airtel but no luck.

                                I have been customer of Airtel cellular service for more than one year. I haven’t had a major problem with quality of network during this period except regular call blocking for hours (They block your number so you can not make of receive calls, and this is acknowledged by there customer service Rep on 121). Not that I had high regard for Airtel Customer Service Reps before this experience as they are nothing but another set of recording trained to repeatedly utter something on the tune of ‘mein aapko adhik se adhik jaankaari uplabdh karaane kaa prayaas karungaa’ rather than providing any useful ‘jaankaari’. Though, irritating these things were, I was never bothered much until my recent experience.

                                My problem started when all the cellular service providers slashed their STD calling rates. Earlier, the STD rates were more than Rs. 2/min so I had subscribed to Airtel’s weekly rental plan that charges Rs 25/week but you pay only Rs. 1.20/min for STD calls. Now, since STD calls are only Rs. 1.50/min, I wanted to cancel my weekly rental scheme, as it does not make my STD calling significantly cheaper. With this novel intent to save my Rs. 100 month I called Airtel Customer Service number 121. Here is the history of my interaction with various Airtel Customer Service Reps and Seniors on Airtel’s Complaint Hotline on 198 over a period of a month:

                                First week of September, 2008:

                                I dial 121: Rep says he cannot help me because his system is down and advises me to call again after some time.

                                September 10, 2008:

                                I dial 121: Get a Rep with working system, he accepted my complaint and promised that my weekly rental scheme will be deactivated within 24 hrs (or it could be 48 hrs, I do not remember clearly). But, he refused to provide me with a reference number for the complaint.

                                September 16, 2008:

                                The Rep acknowledges that a complaint was received on 10th September but the weekly rental scheme could not be deactivated because of some technical problem. But it will be deactivated within 24 hrs. Rep again refuses to provide a reference number for the complaint.

                                September 20, 2008:

                                I get a person with nonworking system; he refused to transfer my call to another Rep.

                                I dialed 121 again. The Rep apologizes that my weekly rental scheme has not been cancelled. He asks me about balance and validity that I have. I had a good balance with validity up to January 2009. He advised me to go for a life time validity recharge for Rs. 196 that will give Rs. 100 talk time, and assures me that this will cancel all the previous schemes. I refused to do that because it would cost me Rs. 96. Also, as I have good 4 months validity and many better recharge/validity schemes may be available in future. Agreeing to my argument, he promised that the rental scheme would be deactivated within 24 hrs.

                                The scheme was not cancelled and Airtel was deducting Rs. 25 every week for the service that I did not really wanted to use. Being frustrated with Airtel’s Customer Service Representatives, I searched online for any other way out of this. To my temporary relief I found that Airtel has a Complaint Redressel Mechanism. They have Nodal Officers contact number at: http://airtel.in/applications/xm/ReachMobile_CS_NodalOfficer.jsp and Appellate Authority contact number at: http://airtel.in/applications/xm/ReachMobile_CS_AppellateAuth.jsp

                                So I thought, finally, there is somebody who can possible solve my problem. But, alas, after repeatedly trying the numbers provided on the Airtel’s website (and mind you, in the case of Mumbai that number given on Nodal Officer link is for Appellate Authority and vice versa) I could not hear the voice of Nodal Officer or Appellate Authority. All I got to hear is their schedule and some scary music followed by beep beep beep beep…

                                October 4, 2008:

                                Now having exhausted all the feasible options (I do not know whether going to consumer court will the worth the efforts) I decided to follow the advice of the ‘Friendly’ Airtel Customer Care Rep on September 20. I went to nearby Airtel center to get the lifetime validity for Rs. 196 and lose Rs. 96 once rather then losing more than Rs. 100 every month (as there are more that 4 weeks in a month). I lost all my wits when I was told that I cannot get this recharge as I am subscribed to one of the Airtel’s weekly rental schemes and need to get deactivated that before getting this Recharge.

                                October 4, 2008:

                                The Rep accepts my complaint about canceling the weekly rental scheme and requests if he could put me on hold for 30 secs. Never answers back.

                                I dialed 121 again: The Rep takes my complaint to cancel to weekly rental scheme and promises that it will be cancelled within 24 hrs. But reference number for the complaint was not given.

                                During my various calls to Airtel, one of messages that stuck in my mind was call 198 for you complaints. So I decided to give it a try.

                                The Rep that I got to spoke seemed reasonable and very concerned but she told me that the only complaint that she could see was lodged on October 4, 2008 and it would take 24 hrs for it to be processed. I asked if there is a reference number associated with the complaint, she promptly said yes and provided me with a number [protected].

                                October 8, 2008:

                                I called 198 to see the status of my complaint, the Rep says the scheme was not deactivated because of some technical problem and will be deactivated within 24 hrs. He also gives me a number[protected].

                                October 9, 2008:

                                I get an SMS from 121 saying ‘Thank you for contacting Airtel. Your request reference number is [protected]. For your concerns, kindly dial 198(toll free).”

                                But the scheme is yet to be cancelled. Now I am thinking that I will switch to some other service provider once my balance becomes zero. I will switch to some other cellular service provider not because I believe that they are better than Airtel in their service, but at least I will not be losing Rs. 25 a week for rest of my life (or the plan’s life) as will be the case if I continue with Airtel.

                                  we are the coustomer of airtel since the birth of the airtel we have 9-10 connections of airtel as follows [protected], [protected], [protected] etc and we are facing network problem in our building from last 6 months we have done many complaints to your coustomer care centre more than 100 times. you can check your records . WE ARE IN THE SAME TRADE OF TELECOM SHELTERS PROVIDING TO YOUR VENDORS. due to the network problem we are loosing clinetage. and our worker also face many problems due to non connectivity and they have to stand outside the building to recieve the network of airtel.
                                  WE ARE GIVING U MORE THAN 25000 PER MONTH FROM OUR CONNECTIONS WE CANT CHANGE THE NETWORK DUE TO THE NUMBERS . please look forward to the matter and we hope that you would take recquired steps for it

                                    Dear Sir,
                                    I am staying in Chinoutpalii, Gannavaram, Near Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and my Phone No. is [protected].
                                    On 2nd Sept 2008, I took new connection and submitted all the documents (PAN card, BSNL Landline bill and Two photos). About 25 days back my phone no. is blocked (Showing call barred) and incoming -outgoing stopped. Because I have alternate no. I have not given much attention to that and I thought it was temporary. But 7days back when trying to make calls customer care, I got another no([protected]) to contact(From customer care) for the same problem. But to the same no. I am unable to contact as repeatedly computer reply comes “this no. doesn’t exist”. After few days it shows your SIM registration failure.

                                    When I went to the Airtel Office in MG Road, Vijayawada (on 10th Oct 2008 about 5.PM)the staff said that your no. is cancelled because some of the document which is required, was not submitted by you. When I asked what document she didn’t answer. They told message was sent to you on 17th Sept 2008 but I am not sure because so many useless message is coming I am deleting that without even looking into .I asked any other way to help, answer was negative. Because I took new connection and also lifetime validity also, I am losing lifetime validity charge and balance worth Rs 110/-. I informed everything all about what I am losing but reply is same as above. Your Staff is telling that nothing can be done with paradoxical smile “thank you sir”. Because I want to gradually shift to this new no. and already gave to so many friends and also informed call to above no. from Diwali onwards.

                                    Due to no fault of mine I am losing money.

                                    Instead of cutting lines or barring incoming or outgoing calls, they can give a call inform to contact customer care. Everyday we are receiving many calls(Computer voice) regarding advertisement and call values of airtel.

                                    As a customer I am not happy with the service.

                                    Money is not everything, service is important, which I find deficient AIRTEL customer service.
                                    Do you have any solution to this?

                                    Airtel Prepaid — Cancellation of registration

                                    Hi,
                                    I have purchased a sim no.[protected] in 26 october 07 from local retailer. after filling registration form and proper ID. The mobile phone no.was [protected] which works for about 10-12 days,after that incomming calls were blocked, so I contacted the local retailer but the incomming calls remain blocked for about a week after that he asked for ID again,so I deposited ID again but the phone remain as such.On 15.11.07 the registration was cancelled.So I complained to retailer then the retailer went to the office of the frenchise GURUJI SALES, 100ft. road, Shastripuram road, Agra from where the retailer prchased his stock of sim,and complained to frenchisee for cancellation of registration of mobile no [protected],there he saw that the ID proofs given by me and registration form were lying in his office.Such type of cases are in large number,and custmers used to go to another company.You should keep tightness to frenchisees.Now I want from you to start my mobile soon. And please inform me about the action you take soon.

                                    I have airtel prepaid no. [protected] . I converted it in to life time plan by giving Rs. 999/- . as per my knowledge in the 6 months it requires to recharge. I did recharge with in six month but when i try to use my no. after 2-3 month it says registration cancelled. Even i recharged with in 6 months.                                     I am having a prepaid connection([protected]) for last three years and it is continuous use since then. Recently my service was disabled quoting the reason of documents shortage. Presently i am at Lonavla for an urgent commitement and my services were disabled due to which I suufered financially as well as mentally.
                                    Pls provide me some solution for the same. I coudn't able to visit the nearest service centre too due to my busy work schedule and customer care service is not active in my mobile.

                                    good morning, my name is vijay kumar.my wife name is ramya and she got a airtel prepaid number [protected].she lost her mobile her mobile last week and we applied for new sim in basaveswarnagar branch and we got it.but later after three days some other person has taken the same number and my number has deactivated. i want to resolve it within 24 hours or i will take leagul action.

                                      Dear Sir,
                                      I have converted my SIM from prepaid to postpaid. Application and Total Payment of Plan is given to Balaji Communication, Rajgurunagar, Pune. Befor a MONTH ago
                                      Now my prepaid no.[protected] is out of order from last 25 days till it is not activated. I am facing lot of problem in comunication.
                                      So, Kindly find out problem and start my SIM urgently.

                                      I am using a corporate number from Airtel for HCl Comnet Systems & Services ltd which is (+91-[protected]) on 15th of Feb i lost my cellphone hence i called airtel custcare and asked them to deactivate my services as i have lost cellphone - so then they have deactivated my services.

                                      On 16th of Feb i went to an airtel shop in Dilshad Garden at around 10:00 AM. There i have taken a duplicate sim from the executive and then she told me that this will be activated in not more then 4 hours b.coz thats there SLA.

                                      My number was not activated till the evening.

                                      So next day i again went to the same airtel shop and asked the same lady that my number is still not working then she said that i am taking the request again and it will take 1 to 2 hour to activate, then i reached my office at 01:30 PM and still the number was not activated.

                                      So then i again went to AIRTEL shop in Sector - 18 Noida, and when i showed him my cell he said that the lady has given you H2 the wrong SIM it should H1 not H2.i dont know what is H1 & H2.

                                      So then he has given me new SIM that was H1.and he said that it will be activated in another 4 Hour...but still my no is not activated.

                                      I AM TOTALLY FRUSTATED WITH THE NON FULL FILLING COMMITMENTS AND POOR SERVICES OF THE AIRTEL - AND DUE TO THIS I HAVE BEEN MENTALLY SUFFERED LOT.

                                        Dear Sir Or Mam,

                                        I Have Complain About Network Prombleam In My Home Area Since Last 6 Month. I Had Personaly Complain In Your Ahmedabad Bharati Lobby (Income Tax) But The Exe. Was Told Me The Prom. Solved In One Month Two Month But No Solutation From Him Side. So PLz Help For That. Network Prom. Is Not In My Area Even I Am In My House So That Time I Have To Go Outside From House. Because That Time I Was Recived Call Sunddley It Was Discount. Other No Network In My Home Side.
                                        So Plz Make Me Help.
