dear sir,

my fone get stolen before 15 days. in which airtel sim of no. [protected](punjab) is present.i had gone to airtel shop in abohar with my identity & FIR. the executive issued me a new sim immediately for 190 rs, but not activate it yet. the sim issued 10 days before, i went many time to the airtel shop after that but no solution come.
so pls do smthing for me

Airtel / Prepaid Connection — Inactive SIM

Hi,

I have a prepaid Airtel connection (since 16 Oct 2005) [protected]. On 16th June 2008, at around 2:00 PM, the phone started showing "Inactive SIM" with this SIM.

Airtel / Prepaid Connection — DISCONNECTION

I have subscribed an Airtel prepaid connection from a local dealer in pandav nagar delhi near (mother dairi). I haveve submitted the relvant documents on the second day purchase of the sim card . the dealer of the company have falsified my name and address .After some days Ihave been informed by the company that it wa unable to verifiy my name and address and asked to resubmit the documents . I also have submited resubmtied the documents with the company at laxmi nagar of which receiving no. is [protected]. Now company have permanently disconnected my phone . Also the company is not providing me any information about the reason . I have inquired on where the documents have been submitted and it's callcenter at no. 121, [protected], [protected]. But no information have been received . Iam MISSING my impotant calls .

airtel/prepaid connection — talktime worth Rs 444/- not credited

With reference to mobile (No: [protected]) connection, i got a recharge of Rs444/- with full talktime done on 08th Jan, 10:20hrs through the local shopkeeper as an e-charge vide transaction id:[protected]. Immediately after I did get an SMS confirmation but never got the amount credited as talktime. Around 1400 hrs on same day I did speak with an executive at 121, he assured me of the needfu ithin next 08hrs as the problem was related Airtel traffic congestion. But i kept calling up the executives, they kept assuring me with no yield. On 10th Jan, when i spoke with senior officer, Vijay, he confirmed and regretted that my complaint was never registered with them. Hence, he gave me a new complaint No:[protected]. Since then i have been calling up the executives and senior officers, One of the officer Mr Kartik, even refused to acknowledge that there was a problem and sounded very rude.

Expecting a solution i kept recharging my avccount with lesser amount of Rs 100/- each (thrice) at a loss.

I even followd up with the locl dealer who onfirmed that the amount of Rs444/- has been deducted from his account and that in such cases it is the service provider who credits the amount bck to custmer.

I just hope that my voice is heard through this forum and necessary action is taken against the defaulters.

AirTel — Prepaid Recharge amount not updated

I recharged my airtel pre-paid number on the 6th of Feb through HDFC net banking.The money which is INR 500 was instantly debited.However the balance has still not been transfered to my mobile account. I am forced to charge my phone with additional amount just to ensure my normal and business dealings are not disrupted.
I have called the customer care and launched 2-3 complaints.I have been only given false promises and a few deadlines.Nothing has been done since the last 4 days.
I don't know it what terms should I describe thekind of service AIRTEL is providing.Iam at a loss of words.It is hoghly disgraceful and disheartening.I have not even received a courtesy call till date let alone anything being done to resolve the issue.
They take their consumers for granted however not anymore can things be taken lying down.
If nothing is being done, I will not be deterred to approach the consumer court.It is our money and time which is being squandered with, we pay for these services we better be given the due worth of it.

Airtel Prepaid — Recharging with new SIM

Hi everybody,

I am D.Ramaswamy, from Chennai and I lost my mobile phone with prepaid airtel SIM. When I contacted customer service help desk in Chennai, they verified their records and said that no such number and no such name exsisted in their records!!! I wonder how I was using this number for the past 2 years and recharged talk time so many times. Still funny, in their website, they gave one customer care number for Chennai - [protected] andwhen I contacted that number, I got a recorded message " NO SUCH NUMBER EXSIST".

Airtel / Prepaid Connection — Prepaid connection wrongly disconnected

Sorry to state that I am a regular user of Airtel Service Providers since last eight years, I am using airtel prepaid no [protected] since last 8yrs and landline no [protected] since last two yeras, but recently I was shocked to know that thiscompany failed to verify my credentials, I had purchase one new sim on my name, No [protected] and its SIM cost me Rs 200 and was recharged for Rs200 when it was activated for one day, since then it has been deactivated, I was shocked to know that even if we are bonafide user of this company even then the company made us a loss of Rs 400 plus mental as well as physical harassment . Needless to mention I had already complained at Airtel DLF Galleria market outlet in Gurgaon(Haryana) as well as at the shop from where I had purchased the unfortunate sim card. It seems as if company activated my sim for one day just to collect Rs 200 as recharge amount and the next day it was deactivated.

Airtel Prepaid — for not activation of SIM Card

With ref to the above subject I would like to inform you that I have purchased a SIM card (No. is [protected], SIM No.[protected] IMSI: [protected])
with some facility, like one month Internet usage, and 200 daily SMS etc.
and the card is purchased from a stall put in to Anupam Stationery Borivali west.
the person who sold me the card, told me that recharge your card with Rs. 40 and it will active after 30 mnts. but its not till now. I have given my voting ID as proof and filled the form with my signature then I want to know that why the AIRTEL is doing so. or why they kept this types of skim when they dont want to activate it.

I just want my money back with compensation.

PREPAID SIM CARD NOT ACTIVATING OUT CALLSINCE 04 Sep 10 , WHICH I HAVE PURCHASED ON 24 Sep 10. Airtel Prepaid Connection — NON ACTIVATION OF SIMCARD

Dear Sir,

I had opted for a AIRTEL Prepaid connection ([protected]).
The same was purchased form a Promotional Kiosk setup at Bhayander on[protected]. On Submission of the relavant documents the SIM was immediately activated.

On[protected] I received a SMS to submit the enrollment form with relevant documents to a nearby showroom and the OUTGOING calls was barred.

On[protected] I had again submitted an enrollment form with relevant documents at the AIRTEL SHOWROOM located at BORIVALI (west) Near MOKSH PLAZA. The representative collected the documents and said that the SIM will be activated by tomorrow (next day i.e[protected] morning.

It is almost evening of today[protected], but till now the outgoing calls are barred in the said SIM.

Today I got a call from Mr. Rahul (AIRTEL-DELHI) he said that the services are active, but when I checked the same message wass repeated that the Outgoing calls are barred (message is received from automated system in marathi language which is unable to be translated by me).

Then again I got a call from Mr. Rahul (Delhi-Airtel) that he had checked the same with Borivali Outlet. As the SIM is not sold from Borivali Outlet, there is no record and further he said that as it has been purchased from an promotional kiosk apart from the outlet it might not be genuine. So i replied him that if a person is selling an AIRTEL product, hemight not be of Vodafone or any other service provider, how he can't be genuine?

If this is the way they treat the complaint with lame excuses how to trust their services?

The only lesson I have learnt is never to go for AIRTEL connection further.

Nowadays promotional activities are carried out by AIRTEL with a slogan:-
" Get Assured Gifts with every New Connection"

But......

The GIFT is only further Headache (PARESANIYAN, TENSION[Mental Trauma])..... Bunk your work and visit AIRTEL SHOWROOM every now and then... but your service will not be restored......!


Beware of FRAUD AIRTEL SERVICES...

If any terrorist will procure a SIM card from AIRTEL promotional KIOSKS, AIRTEL will not take responsibility... as they don't even know who has sold their SIM cards......

RASTE KA MAAL SASTE MEIN...

AIRTEL KA MAAL PARESAANIYAN MEIN!

SO Not to opt for any AIRTEL Connection is my opinion....

Pls let me Know what further action can be initiated agains them.

Airtel / Prepaid Connection — Customer Harassment

Hi,

I had taken a prepaid mobile last December 2009 and submitted all the required documents as per the DOT guidelines, proof of residence, Photo Identity proof & photograph along with the form and same was confirmed to me post a verification call before activation.

Again in May 2010, my mobile phone, after almost 6 months o[censored]sage was barred on account of documents not sufficient. Surprisingly this was realized by the Airtel after a long time (guess they were sleeping). Though being frustrated, I had no other option than resubmitting the documents again since I had circulated my mobile number to all the contacts. While I had submitted the documents, I was asked to purchase another SIM card since the earlier one was blocked and then the existing number was activated to the same with an additional cost of Rs. 150.

Again in September 2010, again my mobile phone was barred on account of insufficient document and some government drive. Again I went to the same Airtel’s office in Koramangala and resubmitted the document and this time insisted on an acknowledgment copy since last occasion I trusted Airtel as an organization by not this time. The acknowledgement Number is G54376 & APEF no. 21657705 which was handed over to me on[protected].

After September, 2 days back was the first time we got a verification call and same was cleared.

However today, without any reason, my phone is barred again, and the reason given verification mismatch. Surprisingly, when the Airtel deputed officers are checking the documents and verifying them against the original at the time of submission, are they just doing the activity for the sake of it? Why is a customer harassed? I need serious action against the organization for duping people and taking them for a ride.

I have a prepaid Airtel connection (since 20 April[protected]. On 25 April 2011, at around 2:00 PM, the phone started showing "Invalid SIM" with this SIM.

    Airtel in Tamilnadu charges for the usage of 58 seconds as 2 minutes. Only upto 57 seconds Airtel charges for 1 minute. If the customer makes a call and speaks for 1minute and 58 seconds he is charged for 3 minutes. I made several complaints to the customer service of the AirTel, but no action has been taken to rectify the defect in evaluating the charges. This kind of charging is adopted for all calls including ISD & STD. I don't know why Airtel considers usage upto 57 seconds alone is chargeable for a minute & usage of 58 seconds is chargeable for 2 minutes. Should the customers be penalised for patronising Airtel & expecting fair billing from them for their usages?

    I am having prepaid card which is purchased in tamil nadu.For last 2 months i am in bangalore.I usally recharge my card for Rs.50 and Rs.121.Two days before i went to one airtel dealer for recharge my mobile.I asked him for Rs.50 Recharge(Easy Charge)
    He told me that he will do Rs.60 Recharge.I agreed for Rs.60.But after recharge i found that Rs.0.56 paisa is charged.I shocked, i asked the dealer.He asked me to contact airtel.So i contact 121 (Customer Care) they told me to contact tamil nadu customer care ie [protected].I called TN Customer Care, i asked to check the recharge problem.They told me that there is no Rs.60 TT in tamil nadu.But another scheme is there, which is also Rs.60 but not for TT it is for free sms for next 30 days.

    So airtel recharge is confusing, ie they having Rs.60 TT in Karnataka, Rs.60 for Booster back (22000 free sms for 30 days).
    my number is tamil nadu based, so it taken as Booster charge.
    So i lost 60 Rupees.Customer care executive just told me 'SORRY'

    hi i have been using airtel since the day 1 when it has been launched in tamilnadu. I liked it very much, infact i can say that am an airtel evangalist. I got a job in bangalore and i came here past six months ago. Here in karnataka, the scenario is totally opposite. Its worster than worst. Airtel-Karnataka is cheating like anything. Here the customer care executives are thinking in mind that they are doing some favour for us, when we asked some requests. One day i activated mobile office pack of rs 20/-(for unlimited interenet for 24 hrs), then i got the message that the mobile office has been activated and they deducted rs 20/- from my balance. After one hour from the activation, i went to some wap sites and downloaded few softwares for my w910i. After sometime, i couldnt able to access any of the website, when i checked my balance, it was dried. only <50Paise was there. I called to customer care executive and told the entire scenario, after hearing the entire scenario, he told that it is not possible to check anything as of now, call me after 24 hrs, so that he can tell anything, my situation was very bad, am in office, i need to go 2 kms away to recharge, without balance, i couldnt able to call anyone there is some emergency, and he told that, it will not happen again sir. Without balance i cant able to browse also. I walked (2+2) 4 Kms up & down and recharged, again the same story, balance got deducted from my main balance. This time i called customer care, he asked me the entire story (first of all crossing all the barriers by clicking 1, 2, 8, 9... to reach the customer care executive itself a big pain) luckily i reached one guy, i told him the entire story as he requested, then finally, he said, "sorry sir, cant able to view anything now, pls call tomorrow". i got fedup and told him, "i need to speak to your higher authority now, pls hand over the call to him", Then they literally make me to wait for hardly 20 Mins, then some useless (dont have words to express) guy came telling that he is HEAD. He told me, continue browsing and if still the balance is going from your main balance, call and speak with me, i will revert back all the money which you have spent on. Myself (the great foool) done as he said, and next day i called to customer care mentioning the name of the head, i need to speak with him, they told he is not here, then i called more than 3-4 times on the same day. finally they asked me to wait for 20 mins, saying that he is in another call, . finally different guy came stating that he is also one of the head, and tell me what he can do for me, i told the entire story again to him, then i told, i need to speak with him. No - I didnt got a chance to speak with him, and the complaint was not registered in their portal. Dont go for Airtel in Karnataka.

    i bought a new air tel sim post paid no:[protected] <tamilnadu>. i cant receive incoming calls from bsnl landline, when i asked customer care they said, the problem will be sloved with in 24 hrs, but it dosent get sloved. when i again approched the C care, they said that complaint is from bsnl . then again i approched sereval times C care. each time they said different answers i was fed up with their network and changed my network.

    MY NO.[protected] PURCHASED ON 21TH FEB. 2009 WITH BOOSTER RS.99. ON 20TH MARCH ONLY OUTGOING IS GET DISCONNECTED WITHOUT ANY NOTIVICATION. I was checking my mobile for this error for 3days. In customercare they are saying it is so since you are not attended the call for verification. I cannot attend the call on days since some restriction on my office.     I am having two pre paid conections No [protected]& [protected] usually recharge of Rs 222 is made then the correct balance is shown but when a call is made the balance goes down for a large sum that is when a call is made for 2min the balance goes down by 50 to 70 at times upto 98 so am able to make only 3 or 6 calls for Rs222 previous complaints has not made any result i hope my complaint will be looked into and rectified at the earliest

    Jan-10 i was activated mobile office 95Rs/pm.But they charged amount for downloading from free website like nokia others. in that website they mentioned free download only.i was activated for only one month but they did not deactivated GPRS after one month and charged arround 40Rs for two days.like call cutter after the period they cutting the service, but gprs service they not doing like that.
    GPRS per month 95RS, but others they charged arround 150Rs.

      sir we are very much suffering from bad network coverage in kualsekharam in kayakumari district, Tamil Nadu this problem came to exist before 1 1/2 years ..we have complained to customer care for many times still no change in the coverage .. many of our area guys are swiched to other networks since they are giving a best coverage here ..We are very much implressed on facilities provided by airtel.so please look on this complaint as early as possible..

        as par telephonic discussion to your head office no 42121 your executive miss pallavi at 19:36 pm I want to registered a complaint but she told me that your telephone and DSL line also disconnected at 19 : 30 pm for over due payment but i m telling her that The net connection is already working then why are you disconnect my telephone line this is already new connection which is not proper installing till date but she is not listening to me and she is not written any complaint on my behalf she is given order to me is that right/wrong and i am doing complaint to your department due to company workers carelessness nobody solve my problem and according to in this matter i m very very suffering to your services and nobody can solve it.         and in december i opted for zero rental connection survice provided from airtel and then a problem ooccered in my friends modem so i gave him my modem as it was free...so airtel charged me 6500 rupees for 2 months on the basis of modem but i have not even used my line ..only modem was used by my friend who already have a airtel unlimited connection..so why they have chagred me on the basis of modem when i haven;t used the line..i have aslo complaint abt it in airtel but they din'nt listen...

        Airtel land line services — Closed Account due to Unsatisfactory services

        Dear Sir,
        I have install one land line connection No.4061886 in Ujjain from Airtel. But I am not getting good services from this co. Hence I want to withdraw this connection. No body is ready to take back the instrument. Neither they attained properly. The Phone is dead since last two weeks. The services are poor.Hence I request you to take back the instrument from my residence and disconnect the connection. Finalize the account. I don't want to be your customer more.

        · The problem started with the October 2008 Bill.
        · As per my October bill, the outstanding was Rs.1, 350/- approx, (it includes the non usage amount also).
        · On November 7th 2008, i made a Cheque payment of Rs.1000/- through my ICICI Bank saving account. Details are as follows, Cheque Dated:[protected] / Cheque Number # 146860.
        · The same amount got debited from my ICICI Bank account on[protected].(if required, can show the statement, where the debited amount towards Airtel reflects).
        · But, when i received my November 2008 bill, i was surprised to see the ooustanding, which includes the paid Rs.1000/-. The amount was not deducted from my total outstanding, even though i made the payment. This i can say because I received an sms from Airtel, confirming the receipt of my payment (of Rs.1000/-).
        · Then i contacted the Call centre, complained about the issue and gave all the required details to them.
        · Even though, i used to get minimum 5 calls from Airtel (in a day) regarding the Non- payments.
        · Mr. Yashwant from your collection department also visited my place on[protected].His mobile nos is [protected].
        · I gave him too all the details & informed him about the problem.I myself called him more than 5 times to know the status of my complaint.But no revert.
        · Then i received a legal notice. Hence tried to contact Ms. Kumud Rai, spoke to her, provided her all the details, but she was of no help.
        · Today, on 25th March 2009, i again received a legal notice.
        · This time i'm not going to do anything.
        · Kindly resolve this issue at the earliest orelse i'll be forced to take necessary actions.

        Kindly Note: If i will not receive any reply in next 5 days (before[protected], i'll take Legal action against Airtel.

          My connection[protected] request for redressal
          I had a post paid Airtel connection with number[protected] for the past 8 years. Due to my proposed wivit to USA, I requested the airtel people to convert it to prepaid connection by etaining the same number. It was agreed by the Airtel, that they will adjust the Deposit money of Rs.1500 first towards the latest bill Rs.996 and the remaining balance towards the recharge charges for the prepaid.

          As per instructions and guidance from Airtel Customer centre, I applied for the convertion at Tirunelveli office( North Bye pass Road Vannarapet, Tirunelveli on 28.01.10 at 5.30 pm). It was told by the Customer care Centre that well within 9 hours it will be converted into prepaid.
          To my surprise, they fail to act.
          On 01.02.10, I tried a recharge my cell with Rs.2 first under prepaid. It was accepted and then I charged for another Rs.100, with talk time around Rs.88 for my last day's (ie 01.02.10) use at Chennai and I left Chennai by 01 am of 02.02.10 to USA.

          By around 7 pm of 01.02.10, I contacted the Customer Care Office from Sterling Road Airtel showroom. It was informed to me that,
          01) My connection is under PrePaid
          02) After the recoverry of Rs.996 a balance of Rs.504 is available, that will be forwarded to my Tirunelveli address by way of cheque.

          This sounds very fine for me.
          But what occured is a different one now. Till 12.02.10, my cell phone under prepaid functioned very well. Since there is no network tower nis available, I could not make a or recieve any call from my cell. But I can use the cell as my phone directory. Now I am receving a comment when ever I use the Cell--- "INSERT THE SIM CARD"
          I am not understanding the meaning of this commnet. I had a doubt that your people deactivated my SIM under[protected]

          Please look into the matter and activate my SIM.
          I never want miss my number[protected]. It is only my affection and love towards AIRTEL

          I am not complaining. I want my number [protected] ACTIVE for ever.

            Hello,
            I have been using AIRTEL Prepaid since i was in class 8th.It provides much better coverage and attractive tup-up schemes...so i like it.

            Now i am using airtel prepaid, no.-[protected], Kolkata, having a lifetime validity.

            Bymistakely today i recharged a different no that is- [protected], with a boucher worth RS. 222.

            I tried to contact that no. ., But i told him about this...he just disconnected the phone and not picking it now...
            So can this recharge be cancelled...may be by that retailer...

            I wish to introduce myself that Iam S.Subbiah and the consumer of your Airtel network with prepaid connection and my number is [protected]. I am using sony Ericsson model no K790i. On 17th of december I received a message from 64611050 stating that thanks for downloading wall paper from airtel live WAP service. You have been charged Rs 50/- Enter angels paradise. In that I searched and found no wall paper was downloaded. I really dont downloaded any wall paper and I gave a telephonic complaint on 17th december around 3 pm in your customer care service and I was replied that I have downloaded and they asked to search in the mobile but it is vain. Further I am facing problem with the phone that when I dial a number it was not connected immediately and while conversation after a few seconds my phone become dead and the other end they are hearing. your customer care official advised to put the sim in other mobile. That also I tried but the same problem continues and in some places my phone is not reachable. Hence I request you to solve the problem and do me the needful

            Since 4-5 months, airtel deducting INR 30.00 for Alram n Alerts services, but there is no service active on my mobile.

            After complianing, they credited this amt last month, but this again deducted for this services.

            When I called up him, no body responding...plz check & reverse this amt & ensure that such mistake don't revise as we are facing lots of problem.

              Poor network coverage

              I live in Trivandrum.

              Between Sreevaraham and Mukkola, in Parambil Nagar. Its a place where mix of hi-fi and lo-fi people live.

              I have Airtel connection and the network coverage is extremely bad. Pls do install a new tower in the nearby location or increase the transmission power of the tower which serves this area.

                  I am a customer of Airtel Pre-paid Mobile connection No.[protected]. On 04 May afternnon I just received a message that "Thanks for downloading AR Rahman Tune" though I didnot made any request/ SMS and subsequently my talktime balance reduced by Rs. 60/- to Rs. 16.64/- from Rs. 76.64/-. My repeated request to Customer Care Executives gone in vain to restore my balance as earlier. Only thing they did by sending anaother message "As per your request Hallo Tune is unsubscribed". On 05 May at 0850 hrs at Park St Airtel Shoppe I lodged a complaint to 121 and the complaint no. is[protected], and I have been told that problem will be resolved at the earliest but after almost 24 hrs (total more than 36 hrs) needful has not been done. I feel very harrased and want the justice to be done.

                  i keep getting messages from airtel stating that you have successfully applied for wc pack etc which i have not. generally no balance actually gets deducted. but this time around rs. 25 has got deducted from my account and when i called the airtel helpline they stated that the balance cannot be refunded as it is a dialy pack. why cant they refund the amount if i have not applied for the service.please look into the matter

                    I am using airtel mobile office sevice for 2-3 months. Its downloading speed is the poorest of any of the Internet service. In this service I even could not download a content of size 2-3 MB, since either it take 5-6 hour to download or it gets disconnected during downloading. This is the worst internet providing service since it consumes not only the money of the customers but also the 'TIME' of the customer.

                    I recently got a PDA phone and was shocked to find that Rediffmail and Yahoo alongwith Airtel will charge me Rs 7 per 1/2 hr for access of my mail on my phone!!
                    This is completely ridiculous! Hotmail, Gmail are FREE.
                    Under MRTP law it is a restrictive trade practice since rediff and yahoo claim the service is FREE when you access it on a regular PC.
                    If more of you feel the same, lets go to consumer court!!

I have Mobile office GPRS connection on this number since last three months. when I was connect it working on proper speed browsing on 9 to 20 KBsec and downloading at 5 to 8 KBsec but from last 20 days its speed fall down under 1 to 3 KBsec. In this speed not a single site opens properly. One things I notice that when I got another tower (My friends house) my net working very fast as it working at first time but when I came on my tower it become again very slow. When my friend comes on my house with his mobile (mobile office activated) his net also become very slowly so I think there must be any problem in my tower. Airtel tower’s distance from my house is only 500 meter to 700 meter but why such type of problem with me I do not know.

I have Mobile office GPRS connection on this number since last 11 months. when I was connect it working on proper speed browsing on very slowly at (9 to 20 KBsec) and downloading at 700 byte to 2 KBsec but from last 20 days its speed fall down under 1 to 3 KBsec. my mobile office is very slowly so I think there must be any problem in my tower. Airtel tower’s distance from my house is only 500 meter to 700 meter but why such type of problem with me I do not know.
                    I do many time complain on Customer care at different no 121 but not a single customer care executive solve my problem. They close all customer care service through which number I was called customer care.I call many times on this number at first the does take call if they take then after some time they cut my call.
                    Sir, I am a student so, 249 rupees is big thing for me which I spend on mobile office every month. So I kindly request to you please solve my problem.

                    We purchased new Airtel number [protected] to use Mobile OFFice GPRS service. My account is deducted with 250Rs but I didn't receive the setting SMS till date. After contacting customer support they assure everyday 24hrs but it's more than 2 weeks nothing happened. Airtel Customer Service is very poor and support people are not responsible in their work. it's requested to concern management to look into it and take proper action to activate the mobile office immediately without any delay.

But one day I got its solution: "Miss call solution". It solved my issue. Now I download 19 Gb (avg.) data in a month. I connect my mobile with PC with bluetooth. I am very satisfied with Airtel Mobile Office. I have got maximum o[censored]pto 35Kbps speed. Average of data download is 70 Mb in an hour plus 12 Mb data upload. As a solution, you should give a miss call on the number being used for internet, press call button on that number and disconnect/ end call immediately. Either the connection hangs, disconnects or simply dead. I have compared all internet connection available and for this rate of cost, this is the best worst speed of connection having an average of 4kbps. It is not at all suitable for an ordinary browsing. I dont know how to do mobile office work. I requested airtel several times for upgrading speed of the connection. But they are complaining about my handset. I am using nokia n70 handset and they dont accept. According to airtel, I think nokia n70 is not an advanced set. Better airtel can manufacture a handset for using mobile office connection.                       Airtel Mobile Services — No network

                      When Airtel was launched I bought a lot of Mobile numbers from Airtel Mobile Services. Infact a few I bought by paying a premium price. Latter I started having network problems. At my office I never recieve network till date. I have more then 15 Airtel numbers. Each time I call their customer care they just seem to tell me some one from the other department will call back but there is never any call back or follow up from the company.

                      They are very very laid back.

                      I would like to take this matter to court. Please suggest.
                      My 199 Corporate plan was changed to 299 plan without initimating or permission from me. I got it reverted to 199 plan. But they are charging me for my itemized service which was free for me previously. The customer care is reluctant to solve this problem. They don't give a satisfactory reply. What is to be done in this case.

                      some authorized airtel prepaid recharging shops are charging extra money if you ask them either for coupon or recharge through sms.its so disappointing to see a company as big as airtel filing to keep a check on these people.i came to know recently that they shouldn't be charging any extra money.i hope something is done .

                      I am using airtel prepaid sim card since last two months. presently i am in dubai and i am using this card for incomming from india when i was in india i subscribe value added service for criket updates for which i was informed that i will be charged 10 Rs every week but to the surprise every week i get at about 5-7 messages that i have been charged 10 Rs each time i received the renewal sms i call customer care and requested them to cancell these service many time but till today they have not done so nor they are giving reference number at customer care for the request i am making to cancell the service.

                      My Airtel prepaid mobile no is [protected](of Bihar circle) and I am on roaming( In Tamilnadu circle) right now. My services is withdrawn from[protected] without any prior information. My son lodged a complain with the customer care no [protected] through his mobile no [protected] at 21:30 on[protected], an absurd reply was received that my complain has been registered & will be replied before 06 Feb 2009.It is not understood that who will be held responsible for the losses incurred due to such a long interruption of the service. You are requested to immediately intimate the reasons for interruption of my service so as to enable me to take proper action at the earliest in order to rectify the fault at my end if any.

                      AirTel — Unavailability of network

                      My mobile is unreachable for most part of the day, in my own office !

                      My office is on the 9th Floor of a 22 storeyed bldg in a vicinity (New Link Road) full of corporate offices such as Balaji Telefilms, Yashraj Studios, Fun Republic, K Raheja, Shah Industrial estate etc.

                      The network is very inconsistent & many calls are lost Mid-way. The same has been experienced by other Airtel users in my office as well.

                      Despite repeated complaints & acknowledgements over the past few months there has been no respite.

                      [protected]. on 23 aug, circket update service was automatically subscribed. and i found ma balace reduced upto minus 12 rupees. i think it was a deducation of rs. 30/-. i complained more than three times and i was assured always to stop above mentioned service. but still now ma balance is reduced weekly and i am getting circket msg from 53776 that are disturbing me. can u tell me what would have to stop that type of message. or it is only just to deduct ma balance after being lodging of complaint on priority basis. moreover, your smart operator use to say that there is no that type of service is activated. if you are not able to stop that, can i help you.

                      Airtel prepaid Mobile Phone service — Fault not rectified

                      Since last 22 days I am unable to contact Airtel customer service while on roaming by dialing 121 from my mobile No- [protected]. The reply received is "this number does not exist''. I have sent many emails to [protected]@airtelindia.com, "they say that this service to your mobile is active “but in fact it is inactive, my request for verification by company representative is not attended till date.                       Prepaid mobile service — Unnecessarily charging me

Without my consent Airtel is taking away all my balance in the mobile, after I topup my mobile and they keep adding features like caller tune and other services which I never opted for. They take out Rs20,Rs.30 and so on. This is ridiculous. Iam not able to reach a customer service agent to tell this because I need some balance in my mobile to call them which I couldn't since they take away all my money so I am scared to recharge my mobile. Please remove all unsolicited features added to my number and refund my money. If not I will be moving to the consumer court.

                              On march 24th i personally went to the customer care office in vashi in mumbai and submitted all the documents and NOC to transfer the account holder name. They said verification would be done within 15 days and god knows wat happened till now no person has come to verify and even the account holder is the same. Inspite of me calling to the customer care people guys they say u need to go and contact the office where we submitted the documents.
                              And how do they think like that. To submit the documents i have taken leave and again to meet them regarding this again i have to take leave bull .
                              People in the office dont respond correctly . They dont listen to customers. It is not the case with me only, it is the same even with my friends who use this airtel service. I dont know whether they will be a change in their service.

                              Even after reading this i hope they send a reply to this query.

                                Yes i too agree with you. I too am having problems with AIrtel. I did not ask for jokes to be on my cell. I am forced to pay Rs. 15./ for this service which I dont want or do I have time to read jokes sent by Airtel. I WANT THIS SERVICE TO BE DEACTIVATED IMMEDIATLEY AND MY 15 RS BACK IN MY ACCOUNT. I AM AFRAID EVEN TO RECHARGE MY PREPAID BECAUSE OF THIS.

                                I DID SEND THE SMS TO STOP THE SERVICE AS SOON AS I GOT THE MESSAGE THAT JOKES WOULD BE ON MY CELL. BUT TO NO EARS. AIRTEL DID ACTIVATE THE JOKES ON MY CELL AND I GET CHARGED FORCIBLY.

                                SECONLY THERE IS NO PERSON I CAN TALK TO ONLY THE RECORDED VOICE GIVING WHEREIN CHARGES ARE DEDUCTED WHEN I CALL TOO ON A CUSTOMER CARE.

                                  Reference:: My Number [protected]

                                  Dear Sir,

                                  It all started with a message which I received on 15.02.2008 which was

                                  “Mirror Number! Airtel has reserved [protected] especially for you till 20-Feb-08, For details send DET to 170(free) or call 12123 (free). To opt, send BOOK to 171.”

                                  On 18.02.2008, the same message was again displayed. By this time thought that this was really interesting having a mirror number. I sent a sms DET at 170, for which the reply was “This information is not available at the moment . please try after some time.”

                                  I called up at 12123 and got the bill plan. It suited me and I decided to go for it.

                                  Then the real problem started. From 18.02.2008 I might have send message more than 100 times till 20.02.2008 but every time I got a reply “Thank you for your interest in Airtel’s new 99 series. This offer is currently not valid, we will contact you when the offer is available. Thank you.” In between I called up several times to your 121 customer Service, I got different types of answers each time e.g
                                  -please try after some time
                                  -the system is not working presently
                                  - the date has been extended till 25th Feb, please try after one or two days.
                                  - Please go to a Airtel outlet and they will give you the SIM after paying Rs 799, etc.

                                  On 20th Feb, I went to the Airtel outlet HI-LINE, but only then I came to know that there is a password/ reference number, which was to be produced.
                                  I talked to your customer care from there itself, and I was told that your booking has already been done and the SIM will be dispatched to your address. Having this information I was convinced, and waited for another two days, bur that courier never came.
                                  In the mean time I received yet another SMS for reserving the mirror number on 23.02.2008. Same message, only difference was the date was extended till 29.02.2008.

                                  I again talked to your 121 service on 23.02.2008 regarding the SIM (which according to the earlier conversation should have reached by that time). To my surprise I was told that there is no such booking made. To my getting furious the operator transferred me to Mr. Arjun Singh, I explained him the entire situation and he assured me to get into the matter and resolve it within 24 hrs.
                                  I then got an SMS on 26/02/2008 at 8.07 PM as:
                                  “We hope that you are satisfied with the resolution provided for your request. Your reference number is[protected]”
                                  I confirmed to your office regarding the number if it was the password for the mirror number. I got the answer in affirmative.

                                  To my great satisfaction, on 27.02.2008 I went to your outlet at HI-LINE at M-5 Connaught Place, New Delhi, they also took the reference number got me filled the Customer Enrolment Form, took Rs. 799/- and gave me the SIM bearing number[protected], with an assurance that the number will be activated by the same evening.
                                  When the number was not activated even after a day, I again called up customer care and got different answers each time. “It will take 24 hrs, It will take three days, It will take three working days, etc”
                                  Then finally a call from Mr Shahid from HI-LINE saying that it cannot be done because your reference number is 9 digit whereas it should be 6 digit number (as if I was the person who created the reference number).

                                  I had to every time repeat my whole story to your customer care executive to state my problem, I DON’T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES, but nothing happened.

                                  It may be noted that IT WAS AIRTEL’S OFFER TO ME FOR A MIRROR NUMBER, WHICH I ACCEPTED AND AIRTEL HAS MADE A JOKE OF ME.

                                  NOW I HAVE IN MY HAND, A SIM WHICH IS NOT ACTIVATED, COSTING ME RS 799/- AND MY LOT OF HOURS, EFFORT AND MENTAL HARRASMENT.

                                  I THINK AIRTEL HAS REWARDED ME FOR USING ITS SERVICES FOR MORE THAN 7 YEARS.

                                  All this what I have written must have been recorded at your end along with the SMS’s which were send from both sides.

                                  After this I can only request you to look into the matter and activate my mirror number.

                                    Hi, I am Ravikant,
                                    Before 1 month I have activated GPRS on my mobile(Biggest mistake in my life).
                                    After 4 days I have send msg for deactivation, but request was not confirmed for deactivation.
                                    Thenafter I have regular deduction on my account balance for GPRS.
                                    I have make many call to Airtel Customer Care representatives, but they only refund my balance, & fail to stop wrongly deduction from my account. If Airtel is really unable to solve this small problem, they have to shut down their business.
