I had a Bangalore Airtel connection (Mob # [protected]). In Sept 2007, I had to relocate out of india therefore i decided to cancel my Airtel connection. Since i had already left bangalore and was in my home town Ahmedabad i decided to settle the bill there.

I called up the Airtel office and was given a reference (person and number) to make the payment to. I was told the payment had to be in cash. I made a cash payment of Rs 2515/- to Kushal from Airtel, Ahmedabad, under the directions of Anwar Iqbal on 25th september, 2007. A cash receipt was issued against the payment.

The connection was cancelled in october 2007, i received a cancellation mail, but the cash payment has not been credited till date.

My citibank credit card has been charged twice (over Rs 3500) with outstanding airtel bills since september and i had to cancel my credit card to prevent airtel from charging my card. I contacted citibank and they said Airtel was responsible for reversing the charges.

I have been following this up for the past 7 months now, Mr Anwar Iqbal, then MR Dhaval pandya from airtel assured me everytime i called them that this would be done but it never got done.

In March 2008 i called up kushal's number and another person called Abdul kadir picked up. I told him of my situation and asked him to find out about the cash payment. He asked me to contact him the next day. The next day when i called he said he had met with an accident therefore it could not be done. Then he told me it cannot happen today but will happen tomorrow. There was a new excuse each time we spoke. He did not even bother to find out what had happened to my payment had i not followed up with him. On the 4th day Abdul Kadir informed me that Kushal never deposited the Cash. I asked him about the reversal of charges and he said he could not help there. I asked him to put me through to a responsible person and Abdul Kadir would not even give me the number of the branch head (Sanjeev Singh) or pass the line to him.

I finally managed to speak to the Airtel ahmedabad, Branch Head Mr Sanjeev Singh. But it still has not helped. The amount was never deposited against my mobile number.

Every single conversation with all these people i was told it would be done but it never happened. I have made international calls from the UK to their mobiles. I have sent atleast 10 clarification to the airtel help desk email id's (121) but have not got a response. I am certain my money has been mis-used.

I regret taking an Airtel connection when i could have stuck to hutch/vodafone. I have never experienced such abysymal service before.I went out of my way to clear my bill and got punished for it.

Airtel still needs to sort out these 2 issues, pending for more than 6 months. 1. Applying a payment of Rs 2515/- against mobile number [protected] and 2. Reversing the charges on my citibank credit card.

Please treat this as a formal complaint.

I m having airtel post paid connection, from the first month I have never received any post paid mobile bill. I have received bill through SMS & I paid that but I request u to plz send the bill by post so that I could keept the record for myself also.

I have also been a victim of an authorised charge on my airtel connection which was taken in Bangalore.

When I relocated to Mumbai mid-march 2008, Airtel was immediately informed and requested to cancel the connection. Several emails were sent from 22/03/2008 and calls were made from Mumbai to their call centre in Bangalore but I am still being charged. I spoke to Anantha on 09/05/2008 and was informed that the amount which showed as payable in May 2008 would not be charged. However, I was surprised and shocked to see that my Citibank card was debited for the amount. Although it was just Rs.104.46 which may be a small amount, I find it very unfair that this is being charged when I have not used this number from 22nd March. In April 2008 also, a sum of about Rs.750/- was charged to my Citibank credit card. I now will have to cancel my credit card so that the next month's charges will not be debited.

I used to get the postpaid itemised bill for every month to my mobile # [protected] directly to my home address. But for the month of May 2008 I didn't received the monthly bill except the May 2008 bill amount sms to my mobile. I had paid the amount which has been given thru sms. Hence kindly regularly send the monthly itemised bill to my home address, so that I will make the payment on the scheduled date.

Its not a comment but a complaint wherein someone took an Airtel Postpaid connection # [protected](Rajasthan # ) on my name i.e. Bhagwan Singh Gurjar without my concent however I am recieving phone calls for a payment of Rs.3500/-(Approx.)and I have been informed that the number has been disconnected somewhere in the month of October/November 2008
I never recieved any phone calls for any Airtel promotions or any other reasons on my own number but now I am recieving calls from Airtel asking for money.
As per the Airtel account the billing address is also not my residence but a Cyber Cafe .. How come a brand name like Airtel do such a disgusting thing.
This has to be taken care of and I need an explanation on a serious note.
I also need an itemised Bill of the Airtel # [protected] for last Six months which was issued on my name without any verbal or written concent .
I need a proof wherein I signed any sort of an agreement stating that I will be using the number [protected].
I also want to know what documents were deposited as my photo ID. I want to know the name of the person who came to my place for address verification and the date on which he came because I live in a house, I dont live in a Cyber Cafe which is the billing address as per your accnt.
I want to have a look on every single reciept on which you people have my signature as per your opinion.
You people are probably the biggest and one of the best known brands in telecommunications sector in India but an incident like this shows that you have a very poor managment system.
I want you people to send me a copy of every document related to # [protected] .Please get the documents scanned and forward them to my mailing address i.e. [protected]@aol.com .
And I want this to be done asap so that either you get your payment or I drag you to the consumer court and I dont want any phone calls asking for a payment until you send me the copies of the documents on my mailing address .I can't even regret taking an Airtel connection because I never took one.

I am a post paid Customer of Airtel last Five or more years in a Reward plan, But now a days I have lot of problems of my Billing, reduction amount and Value added services .These problems suffering me last Six or Seven month, Two or three times given complaints against these problems t0 121 But there is no response .I don’t know how come the bill amount become huge, checked the detailed bill before last calculate the amount there is no matching the bill amount.

I am ready to continue with Airtel, but I want to solve the above mentioned reasons before that iam not going to pay the amount .Waiting for the replay by my e-mail ID with in two days, because with out Phone very difficult to work .With in two three days iam going to take new Connection another provider.

I am too much frustrated from your services. I was requested your executive for a new connection in the month of September 09 he give me connection on dated near bat 25 sep and on that time I have submitted all the proofs par as your requirement. The sim was activated after min ten days and after two three days my out going was bared and when I call to your costumer care then they told me that your address proof is not verified yet but no buddy was come to me, after this once again I meet with your executive & given him all the required documents again but till date not any positive response is found from your side. If you are not able to activate the same please tell me same and another thing is also come to my notice that your company send me continuously bills. And how its possible that without using your services you generated the bills and send it to me .     Hi,

    Just wanted to complain about the customer service of Airtel, it is going worse day by day.
    My simple request was to activate GPRS on my number, also my hello tune is not working since last 2 months but for that im calling airtel customer service since last 2 months. I have called at least 40 times till date for the same thing but no resolution instead i got a very por customer service. I was promised callbacks several times by the supervisor but i never recd any callback. today i again called up for my issue but 3 of the representatives disconnected the call. The first lady i could not get her name, the second one was Jai and the third was Imran Inamdar. I would definately expect an action to be taken for all those reps who have handled my call in the past 2 months. I hope atleast after writing this mail definately some action would be taken against the reps/supervisors. It is very frustrating that after following up for for more than 2 mths for a simple request like activating GPRS still my it is not activated. I am not asking for a free service, im ready to pay for the same but for that also i need to beg??

      Without my permission Airtel changed my postpaid monthly rental plans from 249 to 599.

      I always enquire my total bill amount by sending SMS to Bill enquiry.And pay the bill amount accordingly.
      I suspected some mishap when suddenly my bill amount increased to very high amount.
      I came to know about Monthly rental plan change recently when I SMS about my current bill plan.

      I had a talk with Airtel Customer Care people and they said my plan got changed on 13 December 2007.
      They said I had sent a mail to change my Montly rental plan, but I haven't sent any mail to them.

      mobile connection — bill mishap

      Dear Sir/madam,
      i am your customer using mobile with airtel connection(phone no. [protected]).I have not recieved the bill for last month yet and have been contacted by several airtel service people on a daily basis over the last 2 weeks.Each time i have asked them to send the bill without effect.today one of the airtel service men said they would block outgoing calls from this no. which is outrageous when they have not sent the bill. however,the amount has been remitted going by what amount that person said but i would like prompt billing sending and better servi ce.

      Dear Sir,

      Sub: ID No.[protected], Mobile No.[protected], Outstanding of Rs.1, 00, 046.62/- (after adjusting the deposit if any).

      Kindly refer to your claim of outstanding of Rs.1, 00, 046.62/-. In this regard, I am to state as under:

      I went to Malaysia on official tour on 21.11.2007 and returned on 24.11.2007. While I was abroad, I lost my mobile phone (lost/missing). On coming back to India, I logged in on this matter, but your office is refusing to accept it.

      Since I was no longer in possession of the said mobile instrument, it is logical to understand that I have not used the phone. Therefore, whatever charges levied are not payable by me. My office has already paid a sum of Rs.47, 377/- for the Bill No.[protected], date 03/01/2008. Thus, there is already an excess payment with you.

      Under the circumstances as explained above, we are not liable to pay the so called outstanding claim of Rs.1, 00, 046.62/-.

      You would appreciate that we have been most regular in payment of bills and we are having so many Airtel accounts for our VGP Group. We do not want this should be affected. There is no problem or dispute in payment of bills with regard to any other account. In this case, it is only because the instrument is lost and we also intimated the same by logging in.

      Please look into the matter and confirm that we have nothing outstanding to pay other than what is legitimate.

      I was using the ISD facility for few months since I had to call up abroad quite often. The charges that were levied had always exceeded than the actual. To track my bill amounts i usually recieved a daily sms. There had been times when there was no calls made for the day but the smsbill will reflect and added amount which used to be a minimum of 200-500 or even more. On lodging complaints at the customer care - the CC executives cdnt help as they told me to wait till the next bill gets generated. By the time the bill got generated the mobile expense shooted to 12K. This went on generating till next 2 mnths and nw the total outstanding is 17K. This is crazy and i find no reason to pay this amount as this was never my usage. I have migrated abroad but my friends and family keep getting fake/ threathening and abusive calls from Bharti Airtel - this is simply no way to deal with a customer.

      If my previous records were to be checked - i have never delayed any payments and have been a loyal cutomer with Airtel. But i guess instead of having an advantage of making payments on time, Airtel seems to be taking advantage of it.

      If those abusive call continues to come then I might have to lodge a complaint at the customer court and demand a heavy compensation for mental harrasment and breach of privacy. Airtel has no rights whatsoever to make abusive calls out of the bill details of an individual.

      Please help settle this!

      Iam the customer for Bharti Airtel from last 6 years, Iam very proud to say this. My existing Mobile No. [protected] ( from last 6 Years ). Recently on 23rd July 2008 I had taken one more Post paid connection. The Mobile No. [protected]. This number is taken with AIRCOM SOLUTION Mob No. [protected] & Aplication No. 3834972.

      As per the agreement they told that monthly rental of Rs. 249/- & there is an 600 minits free Local call to any GSM mobile & thereafter the call charges are Rs.0.50/-paise per minit to any mobile & land line is Rs. 1.00/-,

        I am approaching & writing to you after getting dissatisfied by Airtel technical team as well as your call centre representatives.

        I would like to tell you about your esteemed organisation’s esteem product.

        I bought USB Datacard (modem) from Radical communication, Lajpat Nagar-II, New Delhi on 29th March 2008. At the time of purchase I was told by your representative that this card will give you speed of 100kbps.

        My data card no. is [protected]

        Since then I am getting internet speed of maximum 2kbps.

        My compliant no. is 16198265. I have followed up with technical staff on 7070 more than 5 times, but of no use. Every time I get response that this problem is forwarded to the concerned deptt.

        Initially your technical staff told me that this is an issue with the tower under which I am operating my card. I told your representatives that after buying this card I have visited 4 states in India (Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh, Karnataka), but everywhere problem is same. So what I can conclude from this – Either the problem is with all Airtel towers in whole over India or your representatives are trying to fool me.

        In addition I got bill from Airtel for bill period from 29th March to 9th April amounting Rs. 726.06 . I will not pay this bill until my problem is resolved.

        So kindly look into the matter & provide immediate solution otherwise customer’s will loose their trust on Airtel.

        On the date of 15 th feb 2009 I have purchased airtel's USB modem from "Shree Riddhi Siddhi Mobile Shop, Shop No. 43, Kesar Residency, Sector No. 3, Charkop Market Kandivli (W), Mumbai- 400067" the person in the outlet told me there is a tarrif plan in which monthly rental will be 350 Rs. and free download limit is 1 GB. Hence I have Purchased this USB modem and postpaid connection of airtel (Data card no [protected]). I have submitted all of the respective documents on 18th February 2009. After regurrous followup from me the account activated on 20th Feb 2009.
        1) As I got connected to internet the connection and surfing speed noticed is 3 to 4 KBPS in my area.
        2) Thereafter I noticed that the card was registered on my father’s name.
        3)Then there is call came from airtel saying that I have exceeded the maximum credit limit of 500 Rs. and my usage is of 1360 Rs. and my service disconnected on 23rd Feb 2009.
        4) On calling to customer care the person told me that the free usage in Rs. 350 plan is 500 MB which was previously told 1GB.
        5) Putting the sim card into mobile and On dialing *121*12# from my mobile I came to know my approximate usage for 3 days was 1565 Rs. But within those 3 days I have not downloaded even more than 400MB.
        6) Then I got my detailed bill of Rs. 1573.13 dated 6th march 2009. In which it is clearly seen that my usage for 20th Feb. to 23rd Feb. 2009 was 277209 KB. Which is not exceeding 500 MB. The bill was wrongly calculated. And till now pending.
        7) I will not pay bill untill I get satisfactory service.
        8) In between my service was automatically activated without any intimation and you started billing for the next month.

        Because of these issues I have decided to discontinue Airtel's service and requesting you to refund my 3600 Rs. paid for USB modem as it is not useful without the connection.



        for all of you I will suggest write complaint and fax it to airtel's chairmen

          I had a mobile connection, when I was working in Bangalore by No.[protected]. In lieu of my transfer to Mumbai, I had surrendered the SIM card on 12th of Feb 08, the receipt of which I am still mainitaining. The gentleman in Airtel outlet at old Yelahanka - Bangalore told that within one week, i.e by 19th of Feb 08, this process will be regularized and I will be getting a confirmation thru my e mail. However, this has never happened, irrespective of my repeated interactions with him. For my dismay, I got the bill from Airtel for the month of Feb 08. As I had given standing instruction to HSBCfor the payment, this amount was credited to Airtel. I talked to their Customer Care Service ragarding this and even sent several mails to [protected]@airtelindia.com. Irrespective of this, they had raised one more bill for the month of March 08 for about Rs.182. I once again talked to Customer Care Service (Ms. Poornima) in Bangalore and also registered a complaint - No.16063221 dated 27th Mar 08, by sending a mail to [protected]@airtelindia.com. She told that she would not seek the clearance of this amount from HSBC and also she would give necessary credit of the amount, which was wrongly billed for the month of Feb 08. I also requested her to send a confirmation mail for waiver of standing instruction for payment thru HSBC card, which the HSBC people wanted, for which she accepted. She also told that she would send a confirmation in this regard with in 4 working days. But nothing has happened. I received my recent HSBC bill, which was showing a payment of Rs.182 to Airtel.Today, when I talked to the Customer Care Service in Bangalore (Ms.Anurekha), I was told that nothing can be done and they can not make waiver. I understand, Bharti Airtel is a professionally managed company and never expected things of these sort would happen. I have got all the proof of my surrendering the SIM card and HSBC bills of Feb and March months, which can be shown, if situation warrants. I request the concerned to take immediate necessary action and oblige.

            I recharged my mobile on 14th April at 8 P.M for Rs. 498 with one year validity. My last month validity got expired yesterday. Till now it didn't get activated. I called customer service many times. But it is always giving recorded message.

            Now I am unable to receive any call. The service is not satisfactory.
            let them give option to unsubsribe the same to the custermer before charging monthly

                i bought a connection from u r airtel executive mr surya ([protected]) during january 08. i got the no.[protected] for which i paid rs 300/ extra. he promissed me whenever he got a good no. will allot da same to me at free of coast. accordinglyl after one week he alloted me [protected]. but i received bill with extra of rs.1300/ as fancy no. fee against the promise o[censored]r executive. i complained to mr surya, and customer service centre staff too. but no use. as mr surya*s advise i paid the actuals. the extra of rs 1300/ would be waived he assured. but still da story is continued. i[censored] dont waive the extra u may cancell my connection i mentioned in my complainet to cs staff. they promissed me to inform the action taken on my complaint. but no msg from ur staff. service of my phone was stopped on 7/3/08. but bill is sent to me again stating the extra of rs.1300. once again im submitting that pl waive the extra of rs 1300/ and disconnect the services permanently as i feed up with your bills and non respcibility of your staff.

                  My husband got Airtel connection in month of September 4th.it was a CUG his company plan.we were using it for sometime n then we got a call from Airtel that we need to settle the due amount of previous postpaid connection, which Airtel had disconnected as we were not married by then(that is we got engaged n were using CUG connection. when Airtel came to know about it they just disconnected without informing in the month of November 2008)hence in frustration we didn't pay but when again we took the connection which i supposed to be a blunder!!!.

                  New number was disconnected as due to the previous number due.we settled the amount on 16th the day after the connection was disconnected at Airtel show room at Koddambakkam .their after the outing call got activated n connection was going very fine till 22th October but again..
                  They deactivated the outing on 22th oct without even informing as usual.(no msg no call)
                  don't know what they r up to!
                  when called customer care they informed us to contact the show room.when we went there they said its their mistake n complain has been taken n will get activated in few mins.
                  trusting them we left but of no use...
                  after that we have visited the place for about 8 times n every day n new reason or promise like in an hour or they have spoken to manager or in two days or by tomorrow...
                  we where frustrated n sick n hence at last we had to meet manager
                  then it got activated and again in two days it got deactivated
                  guess what the reason was
                  WE WERE CHARGED FOR SOME NUMBER THAT WE HAVEN"T USED

                    With a huge grief I would like to complain regarding the customer information security in AIRTEl.
                    my earlier number is also from airtel which is deactivated, the number is [protected].
                    I am learnt that my call records of my earlier connection has been provided to unauthorized person, because of which I had to face lot of humiliations and I was forced to change the number. The call records were provided by airtel employee, may be in Madikeri (Karnataka) Jurisdiction.
                    I am sure that airtel won’t provide call records for unauthorized callers, but how does airtel avoid intruders within?
                    I do not have exact proof, as I don’t know as who did it, but
                    It is definitely true that my call records have been disclosed. All that I know is that my call records were given to
                    Mr.D. J. Panchakshari working as JTO in BSNL at Madikeri (karnataka). U may please investigate as who had visited my profile other than customer care executives, i[censored] could find the details, then the culprit is in your hands. I think even though the number is deactivated, u still will be having the old call records and data pertaining.

                    Now that I have changed my number, please don’t compel us to change the network.

                    If this continues I will be forced to file a complaint in consumer courts of India, and circulate a mass mail among my contact list and in my company,
                    asking every one change the network. For your information I work for Honeywell and there are almost 7000 employees, out which minimum 5000 are using airtel. If this complaint is put up in our bulletin board then Employees will start thinking about the data security in airtel. As I cannot locate the miscreant, I will definitely at least fight against the company.

                    As this is a serious concern I request a full enquiry from your end and locate the miscreant.
                    Such incidents are not really helpful for the business of airtel. Who ever may find this mail, I request to forward this to higher authorities
                    And get their attention.

                    [protected] is the number whose call records were leaked. This number is deactivated now.

                      I'm the owner of landline 4319068, I had contacted airtel landline customer care on the 6th of february 2008, and changed my tarrif plan to 425 instead of 499, and also one of the other change that I did was to change the alternate contact no . since the cust care did not have my cell no and advised not to call the number which they had earlier which was my wife's cell. Airtel Ref no. 3590490.
                      I contacted airtel today and they, found to my surprise that they had not changed my Tarrif plan to 425 and still had the old plan 499 on their system . however they confirm to me that they contacted my wife and she said that she would not want the plan changed, however I did not want to discuss my personal matters .The sole discreation and ownership of this landline from airtel is in my name. I find it very strange that instead of my advising them not to call to my wife they still did and in the event the tarrif plan did not change .
                      My complaint is that whatever happened happened, however now they should change my plan fro retrospective efffect i.e. from the 6th of February 2008. the customer care is denying that they could do so .
                      althought the ammount is small, it i seriously not only the money part bu what concerns me more is the correct documentation of what hs been spoken to the cust. care and apart from that my privacy is jeopardised . this matter is very serious and it is about my individual privacy.
                      please advise how could I take the matter any further.

                        Three times they have activated unwanted Value added service on my Mobile without my consent, disturbed me time and again and so far charged more then Rs.100..

                        I am prepaid customer of Airtel mobile service. Of late they have been for cricket scores which I have not asked for Jokes which I did not ask Caller tunes every month as they like. Calling them is of no use. I am just fed up with these people. I request them not to send me any sort of messages. I will have to change my service provider if this continues. This has been going on for months.

                        1. Airtel prepaid sims are sold through retail outlets. We submit all docs. It's duty of the Airtel to get the docs. Instead after a week, automated message says that, " ENROL FORM NOT RECIEVED. IF NOT RECIEVED SERVICE WILL BE DEACTIVATED". If we call Airtel customer are, they will say, we can't help.

                        Airtel Prepaid — charging for services without consent

                        My father aged 78 has a prepaid mobile number [protected] on which value added services have been activated without his knowledge or consent. Neither has he ever activated any service nor given consent for any service. The last 2 recharges of Rs. 275 and 120 have been completely exhausted without making any outgoing calls mysteriously by these services. As a result the poor old man stopped recharging his phone for fear of losing all his money and was UNABLE TO USE THE PHONE WHEN NEEDED.

                        When he told me this and contacted customer service on his behalf and was shocked to be coolly informed by the customer service agent on 30th june 2010 that 2 services had been activated on the number. These services were NEVER activated by him nor agreed to in any way as response to any sms. I told this to the agent and asked him to deactivate whatever services had been activated.

                        Then i took the phone to check for myself the problem. I recharged it by Rs205 full talk time on 30th June evening. By morning with NO CALL made it showed a balance of 196. Immeditely contacted customer service to be told that a VOICE CRICKET service had been activated by us. Shocked I asked him who had activated it and when since we had not done it. He informed me that it had been activated at 3 am on 1st July by cms.valuedill.com. Since no activation was done on the phone, this mysterious activation at the unearthly hour of 3 am clearly makes me suspect mischief by airtel or 3rd party with otu without the connivance of airtel which caused the activation of services which were never activated. I WOULD LIKE A FULL INVESTIGATION INTO THE SOURCE OF THE SMSES RECEIVED BY THE AIRTEL SYSTEM WHETHER IT WAS FROM A MOBILE HANDSET OR AN I8NTENET SMS SERVICE WHICH IS PERPETRATING THIS FRAUD ON POOR AND UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS. The callousness with which all the CS agents replied without acknowledging that we had been cheated but insisting that we had activated services is also a matter that needs probing. The call to Customer service was made at 2.35 pm on 1july2010 and the NODAL OFFICER Mr hiten Patel on [protected] at 2.55 pm.

                        airtel has been repeatedly activating value added services without my consent and claim that i have activated these. This has happened in 2 airtel no.s also the same has happened to 4 other members in my family .When threatened with being taken to consumer court was asked what proof we had of not activating these services.
                        Yes, Airtel is doing these type of loot a lot...Avoid Airtel and move to some other network.

                        Today on 19th MAR2011, airtel cricket score service has been activated without my consent. When I called the customer care executive he told me that I got a call on my mobile but the fact is that nor I received any phone call neither I received it.

                        Airtel — Deactivation of services without consent

                        To the Airtel Pune Division Office,

                        My broadband services were terminated suddenly without my consent. After logging a service request 5650392 on14th Oct customer care executive informed and apologized that they have been terminated by mistake and it would be re-solved by 17th Oct 3.30 PM.
                        Till date there has been no progress on this. I have been calling up the customer care daily to follow-up.
                        Now I have been instructed to visit the nearest Airtel office, provide a neat list of document to prove my identity etc so that connection can be activated. I think this is the worst customer service that can be provided.

                          I got one airtel prepaid sim card on 28th march 2008.I submitted my electricity bill and Pan card as verification document. But still my outgoing call as well as incoming calls are barred. Twice I have submitted the documents in the office but still the response is documents not recieved.

                          Customer care is highly incapable and of no use and not at all proffesional and co-operative especially the ones at gomtinagar Airtel office.I am sure AIRTEL is worst operator in lucknow belt.

                          I took this connection to use it for my pesonal emergency purpose but it is of no use for me. I am highly dissapointed by the service.

                            I am fully agree with Mr. Ankit. I am also suffering with same problem of Hello Tune, which I have never subscribed and Airtel is sending bill of Rs 31.10 regularly. I had made request several time to deactivate but Airtel had not taken any action.

                            It is very shameful to Airtel and it's management by adopting such practices to make money.

                              Airtel has billed them wrongly and sent a bill of Rs 32000/= ( two bills of approx 15000/= + 17000/=) for not using any data connection

                              Airtel just keep saying that they saw the uses on their end but we never used it.

                              I am one more sufferer of airtel broadband.

                              I had a connection of airtel broadband in March and took 555 combo plan of airtel.
                              Everything was fine, the bill amount was 633 most of the time and I was happy with it.

                              In January I received the bill for Rs 3000 and when I called them they said that there was broadband usage of 6 GB.
                              I know that I have not used the same and airtel is demanding wrong money from me.

                              I asked them to disconnect the connection.
                              They disconnected the connection but nobody came to pick the instrument.

                              Now today I got message from them that the bill for this month is Rs5216.

                              When the connection is given up how can the airtel send the bill to me.
                              I feel disgusted and I helpless.

                              Is there anyway handle this ?
                              I really feel helpless �?� .

                              I am the subscriber to Airtel Broad Band Services and my user id is [protected], account no. 12492604. I am very disappointed with the kind of services Airtel are providing these days. I talked to a lot of people in their customer care centre, but each time I am getting no solution talks.

                              We are in a real estate consultancy and having staff of 5 people who are using internet; our previous bills were in between of Rs. 2000.00 to 3500.00 but now from the last two months Airtel raise bill of Rs. 7510 (Billing Period 08/Aug/08 to 07/Sep/08, invoice no.[protected] and Rs. 36354 (Billing Period 08/09/08 to 07/10/08, invoice no.[protected] we were shocked that on first bill we got of Rs. 7510, & we had done complaint vide complaint no. 12205726 dt. 27 Sep. 08 and we were assured that some body with visit and try to resolve your problem but no body visited & over and above that we have got a bill of Rs. 36354, which is like 10 times for the last 10 years which is certainly impossible & as we have marked a concern on the bill of Rs. 7510 your company has not taken any action against that so we cannot imagine that there is no control on your system and no body inform us i[censored]ses go high and how can Airtel provide customer a baseless credit please verify the statement and see that we don’t face ant kind interruption in the services and please let us know what is the actual amount to be paid if we not hear anything from your end within 7 days we would be forced to take a legal action & file a consumer case against Airtel inflatory bills and non response to customer request and providing baseless credit to consumer.

                              Kindly take a fast action.

                              I have a 256 k connection wit an unlimited download package but the hidden truth is we can download only 15 GB of data and once we cross this our speed becomes half ie. 128 k till the next billing data. This information is hidden and people dont notice is it because by the time your speed problem is solved your next billing date would have appeared.
                              No other service provider has this rule except AIRTEL which brags about being the best in INDIA.
                              And even the 512 k connection has a 30 GB limit...

                              So look out for ur options if are going for an airtel connection- Go for it only if you dont download much even if are taking the so called " UNLIMITED" package.

                              Airtel Broadband — Fraud by collection agency

                              Here I would like to bring in notice the fraud done by Airtel.

                              We called up Airtel to collect the payment and Airtel executive came to collect it. My wife was there at home. Collection agent sprayed some liquid and then asked my wife to sign the chaque. She signed the chaque in unconcious state and after that collection agent fled away with the chaque and withdrawn Rs 10000/- from her account.

                              Now we contacted Airtel regional office in Noida and got a response from management that they are not able to trace the collection agency.

                              For us, that collection agent was the Airtel executive and ultimately Airtel is responsible for all this.

                              Can anyone suggest how can I get my money back.

                              I feel along with Airtel, kindly connect with your bank also. If it was a cheque, it would have got transferred into somebody;s account. You may trace that.

                              Second, if it was self even then bank people take the name and phone number of the person who has come to collect the cash.

                              AIRTEL BROADBAND ARE THE BIGGEST FRAWD & CHEATERS.

                              my name is navneet jain, my airtel broadband no. is [protected] (a/c no.[protected]. delhi, rohini sector-14 extension
                              i changed my broadband plan from unlimited to 5GB MB based limited plan on 25th march 2010, i repeated my mb based plan atleast 5 times, still due to the mistake of extremely idiotic airtel executive he changed my plan to TIME based plan (25hrs a month). after three days i got a call from airtel broadband and they told me that they have changed my plan to TIME based plan, there and then i told that exectuive about the blunder they have committed & asked them to please change my plan back to the previous one (unlimited plan), as I didnt wanted to creat another confusion.
                              now in the month of april, i received a bill of 2004 rs, which included DSL charges of 1250. goddamn ??????...why should i bear the dsl charges due to the stupid mistake of airtel execuitve. as always my modem kept running in those 3 days in which those stupids changed my plan time based plan, it almost made a dsl charged of 1250 in JUST 3 DAYS ...
                              imideately i informed airtelbroad that how the hell they have charged me so much ??? in reply to which they told me that they have taken a confirmation from us...this is total crap !! because these idiotic people who were supposed to call on my no. first they called on my dad's no. who is a 52 yr old heart patient & asked them for confirmation.
                              i told them who gave them the authority to call on that no. ?? as this airtel connection is on my name & i have always asked airtel people to call on this for any correspondence & apart from that when they called on my no. for confirmation ...i simply refused !!! then how come they processed that time based plan ??????
                              i asked them to send me a voice copy of phone conversation with me on my e-mail
                              where i have told them to change the plan to TIME baed plan on my no.([protected]). & i was ready to pay ten times the bill amount if i have ever said yes to that..crap...to which they refused..that they cant send me the coversation details...i asked them to take their modem & disconnect my connection, SINCE THEN I HAVENT USED THEIR INTERNET & TAKEN OFF ALL THEIR CONNECTION.
                              i kept on complaining, but nobody did anything, i had explain the same story again n again to every airtel executive. but they did nothing. finally on 19th or 20th april i got a call from airtel that due the confusion they will waiver the amount of rs 1000, they dont have the authority to do anything above that. just to get out this mess i agreed that if they can waiver the bill by 1000rs then i am ready to pay the bill, although i will have to pay 280 rs extra without any fault (but i just wanted to get out of this mess)...
                              but they were actually fooling me, they did no waiver although they wanted that i should pay the bill & they will waiver the amount in the next months bill which they didnt.
                              now they have been calling me, my parents again n again & these airtel recovercy people are harrasing me & my family every now & then. they have now sent me a bill of rs 2820...holyshit...when i asked them to disconnect my connection & i havent used the internet since this problem has occured ..then why should i pay the bill ???...
                              i am informing you this because its not a matter of money, i have been paying airtel bill for past 2 yrs ?? why would i intentionally do such default ?? its a matter of right & wrong ...& also these people are harrassing my family members ?? if they cross their limits i will go to consumer court, because it seem AIRTEL BROADBAND PEOPLE MORE THEN SERVICE PROVIDERS, THEY ARE FRAWDS, CHEATERS & CRIMINALS WHO HARASS MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY PEOPLE. i wil make sure that post this comment & mail on every internet consumer complaint website & i will also mail a copy to consumer court.

                                To begin with we all know how pathetic airtel customer care is. I think first of all they should remove the word 'care', it does not suit them. They are so pathetic that if there were awards for the worst customer service, they would win hands down, not only win, but also get a life time acheivment award for outstanding customer harrassment processes.

                                My case:-
                                I was asked to pay Rs 1700 in my Feb 2008 bill (apart from my actual monthly usage). On enquiring i was told i did not pay my feb 2007 Bill !!!

                                It took me 2 months and more than 6 hours of haggling with customer 'care' to get my feb 2007 bills to cross check. And surely I had paid, they had sent me two bills in feb 2007 because i had changed plans, hence the confusion. But they fail to understand that and hence have de-barred my connection.

                                    Myself Ranjan Kumar Syel, from Jorhat Assam. From 10 to 15 days a no.[protected], is giving me so many miscall and bad. sms to me. I tried to contact local airtel customer care. But they could not help. I am aslo an Airtel user. But the local authorities could not coperate with me. Plz. help me Sir, otherwise i am forced to leave to Airtel. I need full details of this no. within a day.

Still they are telling the address is not not tracable and we are getting the monthly bill in the same billing address.Really sorry to tell that all the time whenever i contacted the customer care guys they are telling that they cant garantee anything ..they can only update my complaint and not even can give any other senior official number, not even the office number of their bagalore head office. I opted airtel because of its coverage of its in bangalore koramnagala area.

                                    this are ridiculous messages and if by mistake you happen to click on the link send you will be charged additional.

                                    Please note that the operator is fooling customers by doing so . Am not sure who is benefiting from this but ultimately its going from my pocket.

                                    Bharti Airtel — Unwanted SMS

                                    I am a postpaid service user of Airtel since the past 4 Yrs. I have registered for the Do Not Disturb service a long time ago, but still i receive around 6-7 SMS daily. I called the Customer Care and they asked me the sender ID, that time I told them around 20-30 different IDs and i was told that within 72 Hrs those SMS's would be blocked but still i am receiving them. I am really annoyed because of that. In this busy world no one has time to provide the service provider with the sender IDs on daily bases because daily there are new ones.
                                    I am unhappy with this part of Airtel. You should take strict action against this issue otherwise there is no use of the Do Not Disturb service provided by TRAI.
                                    I am sending the contact details right away.
                                    I received a call from the cust. care., beside giving me a solution they asked me the reason for drooping a mail containing my contact details. This is really getting annoying now, either you provide me a solution or accept that you cant help me with this. I am still in the process of receiving those irritating spam sms daily. I need a reason for you guys not taking it seriously.

                                      I am a postpaid subscriber facing network coverage issue in indoor and outdoor from the day of activation i.e June 2006. The customer care 121 promising to solve the issue very soon and they are working over the issue and by that time they are charging me without providing the network. how this company is doing all this is beyond an ethical business.                                       Airtel , Post Paid Service ( Mumbai ) — Network

                                      My Airtel service has been down for over 4 days, and the comapany maintains the stand that only a small percentage o[censored]sers are suffering. My thought is probably over 2 million subscribers of airtel are miserable for the last 4 days, and Airtel has not bothered to advise when this nightmare would get over.

                                      I have writted to them several times and the response is always about a temporary glitch which shoulld be resolve shortly. I have been a user of mobile phone for over 10 years and have never expereince anything like this. This is a black day in the wireless journey of this country and not a single media channel ( print / tv ) is even talking about it.

                                      Guess this is the power of advertising spend !

                                      I wonder what what a company may have to spend in damages in a developed country where the customer is valued and there are regulations to protect them against such wanton apathy from telco companies.
                                      I had applied for post paid plan 199 CUG & Airtel representative Mr. Nimesh contact no. [protected] provide me a SIM[protected] on dated 01/09/2008. He assured me that it will activate with in 24 hrs. But after regular follow up still it is unactivated. I had spent about 100 rupee in follow up. I had lodge comlaint on this site on dated 11/09/08 & 14/09/2008 as well as Nodal officer Maharastra on dated 12/09/2008 & 19/09/2008. Can Airtel Bharti tell me that it will activated or not. If reply is in No then I can go for other service provider.

                                      I am also facing lots of problems with my Airtel number and Airtel network in Mumbai. I am not getting any network at my place in spite of reporting to their highest complaint authorities several times. I am also not getting any missed call alerts even after the subscription. I was assured several times that my missed call service is active. I am also unable to contact to their customer care representative inspite of my several written complaints. These guys are simply doing nothing.

                                      At last, I can say that Airtel services are totally untrustworthy and I am a victim of the same.
                                      I am using Airtel for last 06 months as a prepaid costumer.
                                      But, in the third week of december 2008, I got a call from the Airtel office that you can convert your prepaid connection to postpaid.
                                      As my monthly usage is quite high, I accepted the offer.
                                      The very next day a person came to me to collect the documents and Rs 300.00 for the Postpaid connection after that on next day a person came to verify my residence and office address, after that on 26th December I got my new Postpaid sim activated.
                                      But Suddenly on 02nd January my outgoing calls facility is terminated.
                                      On 03rd January I got a message from Airtel that Please submit your documents to the office from where you have purchased the Postpaid Sim.
                                      I dont know their office and on costumercare also no one is responding me.
                                      I think I have been from Airtel .
                                      I appeal to all of you please never go for the Airtel Service as they are cheaters, if they want to make you a costumer they will call you hundred times and they will send their representative to your place any time, but after that no one is taking care of the services.

                                      find the attached bill, in that u have charged 143INR for late fee, why i should pay from past 3 months i was asking for bill, finally u sent on last friday and u charged penalty for me mistake is totally from ur side, mine is corporate i cant pay from my pocket we need proof for account dept i, e E-Bill i was asking, really i was expecting lot from airtel but nothing


                                      "send me new bill excluding that late fee, clarify with ur bill generating team rivert me as early as possible to make payment"

                                      eventhough my connection has been terminated more than 6 months back I am still getting bills every monthg with late fee.I've repeatedly requested your billing department to settle the original bill instead of sending meaningless new bills. I am pretty much convinced that it's a ploy to cheat law abiding citizens like me.
                                      I intend to file a cheating case against whosoever it may concern unless this issue is resolved in the next 1 week

                                      Also send the concerned person's mail-id & contact no.

                                      Airtel — Lot of AIR but not TEL

                                      Airtel service seems to be pathetic...i had clearly mentioned atleast 4 times to the airtel executive - that i need the connection urgently. They said they can give only within 4 working days.

                                      They took the cheque for Rs.500/- and till today they have not given any feedback on the status.

                                      what happens to the money //// what is the status of my complaint///no idea///

                                      The executive does not pickup the call

                                      it is more than 8 days now...no reply ...the call centre says someone will call back...no calls....since they have taken the money from the account ...they should have the basic decency to atleast inform the status....so that i can proceed with some other company ( some good companies like TIKONA or TATA or Reliance )


                                      I will definitely not recommend airtel broadband connection to anyone

                                      I am geting misscall from the number [protected] (Mumbai Airtel), Can anyone let me know how can I get rid of from ringing. Also please let me know how can and whome I should I need to complaints agains this number.
