For a us trip, i needed a pack just for emergencies and not the whole trip. So when airtel consultant called me, i inquired about the packs.
The agent told me about the daily plan.in that i was told that i can get incoming messages and can see the incoming calls for free. If i pick up a call, or use anything from side (Calling, sending a text or internet), then i would be charged for that day.
I then asked him that if i use it for one day and then not use the next day will i be charged for next day as well? He said no. The plan is only charged when you use it.
Now, i get a bill of 9700! And i have been charged for each day my phone was on. On calling the airtel customer care, they say the charges are valid and that it was mentioned on the call that it is an auto-renewal plan.
And also, it shows on my bill that i used small amounts of internet everyday. Internet was off in my phone the whole time. Before leaving for us, i reset my internet usage in my phone, and my phone shows 0 bytes roaming usage, but still the billshows few bytes usage every day.
So one time they're saying that it's autorenewal, if you switch on, you get charged for each day. Then they say, that you used internet, that's why there are the charges. They're not ready to listen and accept their mistake.
The only thing they're saying is that these are valid charges and we cannot help you.
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
