Dear Sir/ Madam,
I had applied for a SIM exchange since my old Sim was damaged and not fetching any signal. For this, I approached an Airtel showroom in Adyar, Chennai on (06/08/2018).
The executive asked for my ID proof (Voter ID card), which I provided. After getting the verification process done, she provided me with the new SIM card, saying it would get activated within the next 4 hours. Moreover, It is mentioned on the Airtel website that the new SIM card gets activated within 2 hours. But, even after 16 hours, my SIM card is yet to be activated. I called up the customer care executives and all they said was to switch off and switch on the mobile phone, while removing and inserting the SIM card again, which I had already tried several times. The Airtel Network Coverage is very good in my locality, so there is no problem of coverage area. As of now, there is no signal at all, for the new Airtel SIM card.
As this is my official number, it is hard to carry out my work.
Please immediately activate my SIM card.
