Oflate i have been receiving sms about vas activation without my consent.
That too these are weekly vas. On 10th april 1pm, i received a sms about vas activation while the phone was in sleep mode.
Fortunately i was there to notice the sms popping all of a sudden.
This has happened thrice in the last two days. Prior issues was with my family members no. Today it was mine

Complaint marked as Resolved The customer care representative credited the wrong deduction but they couldn't identify the reason behind VAS activation. How could VAS get activated when mobile was in sleep mode? I pity the customer care representative. it's the brain sitting in the top which makes such decision in the name of VAS. Why can't you make VAS a payable service so that it gets activated only if I pay for it via Netbanking, debit or credit card?
Airtel customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

3) why can't you make vas a payable service so that it gets activated only if i pay for it via netbanking, debit or credit card? And
4) why don't you make vas activation possible only with two approvals from the customer and the customer should get the screenshot each time he approves the request. The approval must be backed by an otp so that for vas activation, the customer gets otp to activate it and he has to key in the otp to activate any vas
5) with payment via banking system and otp, there are multi layer security to enable vas. Airtel can no longer cheat customers by auto activation.
Do you have the guts and honesty to enable such options for vas?
