[Resolved]  Airtel — Barring incoming and outgoing randomly on customers

Hello, Out of the blue I got a call from airtel CC saying that incoming has been barred due to incorrect documents. I said I am using this SIM for past 6.5 years. Then that representative told me that then this could be because of SIM got damaged as it has been used for too long period !!! What ??? Are you kidding me ???? Just find some reason to irritate customers. I tried to escalate the call and do all other things. Nothing worked out. So I have decided to go to "Bannerghata Head office" of Airtel and submitted all my documents on Monday 16th Dec 2013. On the same day I got message saying that i have submitted documents this that. After 3 days I called CC and the answer which they gave me put me in aweful shock !!! They have told me that my documents has not reached verification department. When I asked why, they told me that Bannerghata office has not released my proofs ???!!!??? I got no words to describe Airtel`s poor care for the customer. I have taken auto to travel for 40 KMS to reach head office to submit documents. And they are kidding me saying that I have to go back again to remind them to release my proofs !!! What on earth, Airtel is thinking about customers. When I escalated call to a floor manager, they told me the real truth behind all these stuffs. Recently on BACK-END Airtel has updated new software, because of which they needed proof again. Isnt this funny ???? Even in that case, they could have asked peoples directly saying the real reason. First Airtel barred my outgoing. After that incoming also got barred. Its highly ridiculous that Airtel doing like this to a loyal customer who owns this number for past 6.5 years. I CAN NOT travel back again 40 KMS just to remind those irresponsible airtel representatives at Bannerghata road to release my documents. Please do the needful. If nothing is going to be fruitful from this complaint also, then I will straight away move to VODAFONE or others. Not just me. I will surely move all of my team mates and colleagues to other service providers.

I have ported my number to Vodafone. Thanks to frustration by Airtel. I have been with Airtel for 8 years.

As I have escalated this issue over customer care yesterday, temporarily my incoming has been allowed. And also today I got a call from another team as I have raised a query in this forum, saying that they will look into this issue in the back-end. But the current status of my proof submission as updated by this person also seems to be similar as given by CC i.e., documents have not reached airtel verification department.
