I had applied for 2 Vietnam visas via the Akbar Travels website where I also made the payment. Customer Support reached out to me asking me for documents which I submitted. Then I got a call from the customer service rep saying that since I made the payment through the portal someone else will reach out to me. I have been following up continuously since nobody has reached out to me since Monday (I made the payment on 4th June and submitted my documents on 6th June) and no one is even telling me the status or if my documents are ok! Please have the decency to at least tell your client that has paid what is happening.

    We reached out to Akbar travels because my parents wanted to apply for visa to Mexico. My parents were based in Chennai.

    The agent was initially very rude and didn't want to speak to us until we arranged for the documents. Anyway, we got all the necessary documents notarized and ready from Mexico for the visa process.

    Akbar travels took the visa fee from my family at this point and sent the passport, etc to their Delhi office. I don't understand why.

    The agent said it is our responsibility to find appointments for the embassy. So what exactly was his job then apart from posting the passport to Delhi?

    So anyway my parents went for the visa appointment to delhi. Spent money on flights and hotels only to be rejected almost instantly.

    The passport copy was supposed to be vertical, we had it as horizontal... That was one of the rejection reasons.. why did the agent not know this and why was this not spotted?

    The visa officer also said they needed an invitation letter from me... The son!

    It was my in-laws in mexico that were inviting my family and they provided all the letters for that.

    I was never asked to provide an invitation letter for my parents or share my bank statements. The visa officer asked for this which means the agent either never knew about this or failed to inform us.

    Akbar travels is the reason our visa was rejected. My family are unable to travel to Mexico because of this.

    They took money for the visa process, we spent over 40, 000 INR to get the documents notarized in Mexico, we spent an additional 60, 000 INR on flight tickets to Delhi after we found an appointment. At the end of it all, visa was not provided and the agent? No sign of the guy. Was he even experienced to handle a case such as ours? I highly doubt it.

    I will never EVER recommend this joke of an agency to anyone else.

    1) rude agents
    2) did not help senior citizens with appointments for mexico
    3) sent passports well in advance to Delhi even though we did not have an appointment. What was the point of this?
    4) did not review the documents and cross check with the checklist
    5) I will question the agent's experience and knowledge on the visa process for mexico

    Totally disappointed with the service and even more devastating for my parents who can't attend my wedding because of poor customer service. We do not have the money to spend again on flight tickets and hotels etc to travel to Delhi for another appointment..

      Akbar travels seems to be a very unprofessionally managed company. I've submitted all my documents and paid fees and service charges on 05.05.2022 for getting Visa for my Malaysia visit upcoming on 15.05.2022. they've started application to the Malaysia embassy on 10.05.2022. they called upon initiating the application with reasons of withdrawal of all online application filed by me. Before this on 05.05.2022, i clearly explained to Bhushan about my application and helplessness to make payment online. When he was aware of this, why didn't he asked me to delete the application I submitted to Malaysia embassy then and there. Why did they delay/gap in application from 05.05.2022 to 10.05.2022. yesterday, I got a call from Akbar travels again to withdraw my applications I submitted online, however there's no application live on my account since 10.05.2022. And I've to fly in next 2 days as I've made all my flight bookings. Rehan never listens to his clients, he gives all possible explanations to prove you wrong and Akbar travels is always correct. Guys at Akbar travels, please wake up and listen to customers.

        My friend Ms. Haripriya Sasikumar has paid Rs. 4000 to Akbar Travels, India for Malaysian E- visa on 13-April-2022. Later they informed it is not possible to process visa from India, since she is travelling from Dubai. But this information was already known to Akbar Travels executive before the payment was made and they assured the visa can be processed from India since she is Indian citizen. But after the payment was made, they informed it is not possible to process visa and the amount paid will be refunded. it is been almost a month and still the amount has not been refunded. When ever she is trying to call or message, they are not responding.

          I and my family (Nirjhar Dave) applied for a Singapore Visa on 20th of April and I was told that It would take hardly a week to get the Visa.ngapore are also getting hampered as Akbar travels are not returning my passports back.

          Need immediate help! Shall I also consider filing a police FIR now?

            Hello,

            I have booked a GoFirst flight ticket from Hyderabad to Bangalore with reference number AT[protected] on 16th March for the travel date of 30th March. The airline, for some reason, had canceled the flight and had promptly refunded the full money (INR 4630/-) to Akbar Travels. I have been following up with Akbar Travels since 2nd April to refund the money, but there is no progress. Every time i reach out to AkbarTravels over email/call, they mention that the full refund is under process with "high priority" and will be credited to your account in the next 24/48 hours, but they don't refund.

            Please help.

            Apparently, Airline had not refunded money to the Akbar Travels account. I followed up with Airline and they have initiated the refund now. Will create a new issue if Akbar Travels take more time to refund after they receive the money from the Airline.

              Full Refund of Airline fare

              I had booked a flight through Akbar travels with refundable option.

              Due to some reason I had to cancel it. Now due they are still charging Airline Cancellation fee.

              Please help. As it's straight forward fooling customers.

              Never going to use again Akbar travels.

              Total amount paid - ₹5185
              Refund amount - ₹1264...

              I booked a ticket for my customer in February 2022, apparently malaysian airlines decided to cancel the tickets and did not operate flights in that month from India. Malaysian airlines decided to fully refund the money paid which is 4.38Lakh INR. I contacted Malaysian Airlines about my refund since AkbarTravels didnt update me. Malaysian airlines said the agency was refunded completely on March 11th, in such case Akbar Travels should send me the funds right away or take a week maybe. They didnt even tell me that they received the refund last month until i emailed them 2 weeeks ago. Now they finally initiated refund on 20th April 2022 and promised i would receive the refund in 2-3 business days. Its 23rd today and they now asked me to wait till next week, That next week and refund will never arrive I guess. Seems like I just lost 4.38Lakh INR. Being a small travel agency this is a life threatening loss for me. I really hope they refund my money without wasting more and more of their and y time

                  I had booked a flight on Emirates through Akbar Travels with booking reference AT[protected]. This flight got cancelled due to Covid. Emirates allows to keep the credit for 3 years and use it in the same region. When I approached Akbar Travels to book new ticket on April 1, 2022 they said they have already cancelled the ticket without my approval in December 2021. Cancelling without customer consent is a grave offence, ticket prices are much high now. How can any travel agency do that!!

                  Not only that, Emirates confirmed they have refunded the money immediately. Akbar has still not paid the refund amount to pay.

                  I expect either flight tickets for the dates I requested or a full refund immediately.

                    Your employee Tehseen took ₹3001 towards my request for registration as authorised rail travel agent on 5/4/22. She promised registration with irctc by providing credentials but has so far failed to respond toy queries and not attending to or returning my calls. All doc she wanted were given to her.                       Hello,
                      I have booked a ticket from Mumbai to Austin, Texas USA via Delhi and San Francisco for my nephew. The journey scheduled on 7.03.2022. But due to war between Ukraine and Russia and restrictions to use airspace he flight was cancelled by the airline. So, I contacted Akbar travel for alternate flight, but it was not available and hence they asked to send an email and cancel the booking which i did immediately. Then I got the email that it will take 90 to 120 days to get the refund. So, I contacted the airline and asked them about refund status on my booking. I got the reply that it was initiated and will be credited in 7 days form the date of complaint. Again I contacted Akbar travels but got the same answer.

                      Now as per the airline refund is credited to Akbar travels account but still no response from Akbar travels.

                        I arrived at Mumbai international airport today early morning at 4 on 17th March and decided to book cab in the parking lot with Akbar travels. From Airport to Thane, I was charged 1500 Rs even after arguing about fare with the person on counter. He claimed toll charges of Rs 500 where in fact toll was not even needed for this route.

                        I read similar complaint from another user and it looks like Akbar travels in exploiting travelers.

                          I made two payments using phonepe.
                          I had to apply for dubai visa.
                          my first payment was succesfull but akbar travels website went down at the exact moment. So akbar was not able to create that booking.
                          I had less time to apply for visa. So i applied it instantly and this time everything went well. Now for the first payment akbar travels is not giving me a refund. I tried emailing them. They said they only have one payment. I said these are the UTR numbers to track the payment then they stopped replying to my emails. Such a big company doing small works.

                            Ihad given an power of attorney and an affidavit to be attested from kuwait embassy. I was informed that within 15 workin days i would receive it back. I had submitted on 1st Feb'22. Still not received it. No proper response from yor team at ottapalam kerala.

                            This is required for availing the insurance amount for the deceased family. If further delayed the insurance may get lapsed.

                            Very pathetic service from your team...

                            Previously I had visited the branch and the team had informed that the file has been rejected and has been resubmitted. Again last week I had contacted them and they said that I will receive this week. Today is Friday hope i will receive the document by next week before Wednesday.

                            I know there may be delays in such procedure. But the delay here is too long. I dont have any complaints with team. However, the total procedure is taking too long.

                              We had sent mail to the passenger on 26 Oct 2021 in order to get bank account details so that we deposit cheque in passenger's account but till date there was no revert from passenger's side. However once again we have sent mail to the passenger to get account details so that we can process refund into hi given account.

                                Hi, I applied for Dubai visa with your website for 2 person. I applied for the regular process package that includes the Expo tickets. The package was for INR 8199. However, Akbar travels failed to get the Expo tickets for us. We called the customer support and they are offering just INR400 refund per person. However the package without the Expo tickets is INR7199. Also, the customer support agents Fatima and Rehan disconnected my call right on my face. Rehan was rude to unacceptable level. I'm frustrated now and want my INR 2000 back at the earliest.

                                    Akbar travel did only visa work which eventually expired during banned period. VISA work cost is BD9 Rs 2000. akbar travel charge Rs 8499 as per their website . considering that also so refund Rs 37000 . secondly I paid attestation of Rs 5750 ...no work is done for attestation service so they should refund RS 5750 . so total balance refund = 17750 they never mention about non refundable nor it is mentioned in their Quotation . so they should not take undue advantage of pandemic and loot the customer . awaiting my refund
