Akbar travel did only visa work which eventually expired during banned period. VISA work cost is BD9 Rs 2000. akbar travel charge Rs 8499 as per their website . considering that also so refund Rs 37000 . secondly I paid attestation of Rs 5750 ...no work is done for attestation service so they should refund RS 5750 . so total balance refund = 17750 they never mention about non refundable nor it is mentioned in their Quotation . so they should not take undue advantage of pandemic and loot the customer . awaiting my refund

    1. I booked an Etihad flight ticket through travel agency "Akbar Travels, India" to travel from Trivandrum, India to Toronto, Canada on 24th March 2020.

    2. The flight got cancelled due to covid as india imposed travel ban on 22 March 2020.

    3. I waited for some months but the travel ban was not lifted and I wanted to cancel my ticket. I reached the travel agency "Akbar Travels, India" to cancel my ticket and they told me that as per etihad's policy i won't get the full refund if i cancel the ticket before 1 year from the original travel date.

    4. Without making a further fuss I patiently waited for 1 year and I raised a request with my travel agency "Akbar Travels, India" and confirmed my ticket cancellation on 25th March 2021 (Exactly 1 year from the original travel date). I was given a timeline to get my refund within 90-120 days starting from 25th March 2021.

    5. I made lots of follow ups with akbar travels for the next few months and I was constantly getting the response that Etihad is processing my refund. This went on for another 5 months and I got my refund on 1st september 2021 (After a long delay of 160 days from the day I confirmed the cancellation of my ticket).After all this suffering i didn't get a full refund. I paid 1, 16, 912.00 for my ticket and I got a refund of only INR 1, 10, 520.00. When i reached the travel agency "Akbar Travels, India" why they reduced INR 6392.00, this is what they said
    "Kindly be informed as checked the deduction of K3 Tax is from the airline and not from Akbar Travels. Also note the delay in the process of refund is due to high volumes of refund request at the airline's end as well as our end due to on going situations.Further please note the statement “From 01st Sep 2021, K3 tax is non-refundable for those tickets issued in FY[protected]" is applicable for all the new refund request"

    6. I got in touch with etihad and they said they had already issued the full refund to akbar travels in july itself. So it is very clear that akbar travel was lying all the time and and cheating me

    I was supposed to get the full refund within 90-120 days from the day i raised refund request (24th March 2021). So even if we count 120 days from the refund request date it would be July 22, 2021. So i should have been getting the full refund within this date but i didnt get it. Instead of that Akbar travels gave me partial refund exactly on Sept 1, 2021 and said that all refunds from 1st Sept 2021, K3 tax is non-refundable and gave me partial refund.
    This is pure cheating, unethical and unprofessional.
    Akbar travels delayed the process, delayed the refund and now coming back and saying that I should be paying for mistakes made by Akbar travels. This looks more like a scam

    Pls refund my full amount.

    1. If that is the case then why was i send an email on July 22nd 2020 that "Also note there is no full refund option as of now from the airline.However the refund can only be processed once the ticket expires (ie 1 year from date of issue)". See attached image. Why you didnt clearly mention or inform me about the same

    2. If that is the case then why did you send me email saying that "FULL REFUND requests without Cancellation Fee will be accepted only after 12 months from the 1st cancelled flight in the itinerary i.e 24 MAR 2021." on December 2020. See attached image

    3. Then why did u reply me "Yes" on dec 2020, when i asked "So that means I have to wait till 24th march 2021 and then only raise cancellation request to get full refund?". See attached image.

    Can you show me one email where you informed me about this notice that you send now. Whenever i was asking about refund you were always giving me answer that full refund request should only raised after 1 year from the travel date. If this was the case i wouldn't have waited this long to cancel it. I would have cancelled it july 2020 itself and would have earned some interest if i got money then itself. Here neither i was informed about this condition, neither i was given full refund and also i lost the interest i could have earned if i would received the amount 1 year back.

      We had booked Mum-Syd international flight for my mother dated 3rd May 2019. Since Australia closed its border, I had requested for flight cancellation and was told that I will get full refund from Singapore Airline. However even after 2 years, several emails, many phone calls, the amount is yet to be refunded. My mother is retired single women who is struggling to received her money back for so long. I was pregnant and just delivered a baby and it is increasingly difficult to spend time to follow up with a new born. Not to mention the emotional chaos it is causing to us is so disturbing. This was unaccepted from reputed agents like Akbar Travel.

        I booked a ticket from India to Toronto on January 2020 to travel on October 2020. Due to the impact of COVID flight was cancelled. Akbar Travels told me I have to wait for 1 year to get the full refund. So I waited for 1 year and contacted back akbar on 2021 October for the refund. They said they will process the refund. After few weeks of follow up they send me a mail that they can't refund to the original mode of payment so please provide details of another bank account so that they can transfer the amount. I provided the bank account details on Nov 21st 2021. And after that I have send so many mails and they replied they are waiting for an update from their accounts team. No other updates was given. I don't really know when I am gonna get the refund. They have not said any date or any update on refund. Just saying the word waiting for accounts team update and refund will get "shortly". Its been almost 2 years altogether since I booked and paid Akbar. Give back my money Please!

            Hi there,

            We have done our Dubai visa from Akbar travels. While submitting the documents, they mentioned that all documents are correct and we'll get visas in the next 3 working days. It didn't come in the next 3 days so I followed up with them next week and they still told me that it'll take 3 days more. They wasted more than a week already and then they told me that my friend's visa is declined because his passport is nearing to expire (Please note- they did not mention this when we submitted the documents). As a travel company, they must know that how many months prior to the passport expiry, you can apply for a visa for Dubai. For some countries, it is 4 months and in some countries, it is 6 months and my friend's passport was getting expired in 5.5 months. If they would have mentioned this at the time of submitting the documents then we would have created his new passport in the tatkal category which takes like 3 working days and we would have still taken our flights and stayed in our booked hotels.

            We have paid money for our return flights, we have paid money for the one night of our hotel stay (the rest was to be paid at the hotel). And I have paid 7400 rupees for each person which is two people here for visas. Because of their delays and because they did not check the documents properly when we submitted them, our all money is gone to waste and we had to cancel our trip which we were really looking up to.

            Now when we mentioned that the visa got declined, they said that we will get the refund of the visa that has been declined. It has been more than one and a half months and we haven't received our money back. They are promising us that it'll be debited in my account for the last 4-5 weeks but the money has still not reached my account. And now they stopped replying to me when I am following up with them.

            My lot of money has gone because of them and now they are not even concerned to respond to me. This is the reason I have to file this complaint. Request you to please get my money back.

              Hello Akbar Travels . I had booked a car from Mumbai to Mahabaleshwar on 8th Dec 2021 and return to Mumbai on 10th Dec . Driver name is Ramesh and car # MH 02 CR 3068 . The driver requested me if his wife could also travel in the car booked by me as her native place is Mahabaleshwar . I accepted his request out of act of kindness however realized mid way it was not a good idea. The driver Ramesh wanted to drop his wife at Kalina area instead of dropping me, when I objected to it his wife was rude to me, both were bullying me, in Marathi they were speaking offensive things . I immediately reported this to the Supervisor Amit on phone. Amit called the drive Ramesh and warned him to stop the misbehavior. After this very bad incident the wife got down the car in Vashi and the driver dropped me at my drop point . I paid twice the amount for 1 way travel to Akbar Travels as pricing was like that and it is unacceptable that a driver and his wife were bullying me who is the customer. Amit - supervisor did his duty well . I request Akbar Travels to take necessary action against the driver Ramesh, car # MH 02 CR 3068. I am reporting this as my family asked me to do so .                 I booked Bahrain quarantine package from Akbar travels for going to Saudi arabia and paid Rs 45500 amount . Visa was received in May’2021however, Bahrain govt banned Indians and thereafter my visa also expired 1 w of Aug2021..
                meanwhile, I also availed their attestation service of my vaccine certificate and Paid Rs 5750. But they were unable to do so.
                In view above, I asked for refund of Bahrain package barring visa fees(BD9) and full refund of attestation fees. They paid part only and balance of Rs 25000. several email reminders are sent to Mr Rizuvan and Mr. Krunal but no refund and reply..

                Our team had already Communicated with the person and were provided details of the Official Process of Bahrain Visa.

                During this Pandemic Period - Travel happening on a condition of non refundable basis.

                Still they had supported the person due to the stoppage of flight and retaining the penalty of Visa Process and made a refund of the Accommodation which was genuine.

                At the time of Process he agreed for all the terms and conditions of the Package.

                    I have made the payment for UAE visual visa express service on last Tuesday( 16/11/2021) by trusting the sales person’s words that the visa will be issue in 2 days time.
                    Sale’s person email: rehan.[protected]@akbaronline.in

                    After receiving the money there was no proper response from your side. I even asked the number for the call center to talk to someone to check the status and he didn’t give me the number.
                    On Friday I found the call center number from online and when I called they said the Visa is not yet approved. By trusting your sales person number I took Covid test on Friday in order to travel on Saturday.

                    Saturday also there was no communication from the sale’s person’s side.

                    On Sunday afternoon I called the call center again and they told me the visa was issue on Saturday 10 PM.!! This is totally unacceptable as I need to make multiple phone calls just to get the status of the visa. And I paid extra money for the express service hoping that it will be ready in 2 days time.

                    My my plans were ruined by the irresponsible attitude of the sales person.

                    Kindly make the refund for the extra 1000 I paid for the express service. Person gave me an explanation that the delay is from UAE immigration but my question is, the visa is approved on Saturday (20/11/2021) by 10 PM, why nobody informed me about it till I made a follow up on Sunday afternoon..??
                    It’s not about that money but you don’t deserve to get paid extra as the service was not express and extremely poor.

                      22nd November's airindia express IX 1885 flights ticket booked in your Mangalore office.
                      Today I go airport, but flight is cancelled and airindia customer person tell already informed akber travels . But no one informed me.
                      Before departure I call your off and ask flight status. No one informed flight cancelled.
                      19th November I go your office and ask flights status.
                      Now need PCR test again, who give expenses. Why your office people ignore like that. I want confirmation about this.

                        I have booking of Indigo flight with PNR: TH3TGY. Indigo has refunded the amount of Rs. 1864 on 24th October but it still hasn’t been credited in my account. Didn’t expect such a bad experience on Akbar.

                            Totally waste CUSTOMER service, they are not doing there works properly, they don't know the requirements, these people are working like a post man.
                            I applied for UAE visit visa for 30days(express service), but till today I have not been received the visa, their charges nearly double than other travel agency, but their service is zero.
                            It's totally ### CUSTOMER service, they will not call you, you need to put several reminders. Not at all recommend to anyone, please avoid, if you value you time and money, then Don't come to this akbar travel.

                            Usually other travel agency giving the visa within 48-72 hours(express service), and within 4-5 days in normal. But I have spend 12 valuable days, till they don't know when they can send me the Visa. They need to shutdown the service. Fully bogus company.

                              I cancelled a ticket and I got 90 rs as refund. Worst website ever. Please don't book tickets from here.even though the airlines are refunding the amount on cancellation if flights these people don't return or refund your amount.

                                aaal ticket was cancelled and IndiGo refunded an amount of 500 but Akbar travels only refunded Rs 91. This is just ridiculous. When the company is paying the amount why are we not receiving the full amount. First of all akbar travels so long for refunding our money when you've already received it. And then you deduct our money. Please refund the rest of the amount at earliest.

                                  Akbar Travels Reference number : AT[protected]FYI - Akbar travels rescheduled the ticket - Attached the ticket which is re-issued). If you look at the 2nd and 3rd pages (and I couldn't find e-ticket numbers on these pages), you can find return journey details but those dates fall under strict lock down in both India as well as in the UK and there were no services between these two countries.

                                  Kindly liaise with your agent to rectify his mistake and refund the amount to you.

                                    I had done a booking through Akbar on 5 September for travel from Jodhpur to Mumbai. I cancelled booking fee days back. I have received confirmation from IndiGo stating the refund has been processed but I haven't received any update/notification from Akbar about it.

                                    Please help me track and get refund ASAP.

                                      My refund is pending from past 1.5years in Akbar...Akbar Travels delhi office is least bothered to settle my refund which is pending from almost 1.5years..Also they have received the refund amount from Airlines last year only...When asked with Delhi office Yesterday they told me some silly and nonsense things such as Provide us the I'd proof of all the passengers and their contact information...I am not able to understand if I have paid all the amount for the tickets why you should ask passenger details...It is clear that if someone has paid you for the tickets you should also return to thr same person if any refund or dues is pending...
                                      They are just wasting time not to provide any refund.

                                      I am having 6PNR which needs to be refunded...on 24 September this month they have released one refund without any questions asked...if they have refunded one pnr why they want passenger details for another 5PNR.

                                        I just want to highlight the issue I faced with Akbar travels when I booked air tickets a few years ago.
                                        I have called them millions of times and send them about dozen of emails for a refund however they never refund my money.
