I own maruti baleno, which i purchased last year on nov28 -2017. Distance driven is 10000kms. Recently, i have noticed side wall bulges/bubble on both the tyres at driver side (Both front & rear tyres). It happened when i had covered 750 km distance stretch small long trip, covered almost entirely national highway roads. And i can assure that i have driven my car in safe speed very cautiously. There is no scope of being having a high impact during this trip as my whole trip covered national highways roads. Sooner i realised this issue, notified it to apollo service engineer via warranty dept from locally authorised service workshop. Service engineer came to the service centre and made a detail examination. He told the side bulge issue might be caused due to the high impact of tyres with sharp potholes and it does not fall under manufacturer defect. So the claim will not be accepted.
In his report, he mentioned that the tyres tread depleted only 18%. So almost ~82% of tyres tread is still usable. Indeed, my both tyres condition is very decent.
1q) my foremost question to apollo is only 18 % depleted tyre tread is very prone to have such kind of impact bulges what if the tyre's tread depleted more than 40- 50%?
That means tyres would have been burst on such impacts and would have been a life threat to car riders. It is evident that we, consumers are risking our lives by relying on these apollo tyre manufacturer. Apollo should be answerable for these key safety issues.

Either the tyres that were provided originally in my car is having a manufacturing defect or apollo is not following quality standards in the tyre manufacturing. Also, if apollo finds the main issue is due to indian road standards, then apollo should have been opposed or recommended maruti nexa baleno manufacturer not to use this kind of tyres 195/55 r16 in baleno vehicles.

I request you to please look into the matter and do the needful to replace the tyres.

I bought tyres 6 months ago, it was all running good, suddenly yesterday i saw it punctured in my parking, than i replaced with spare tyre. Now i don't have a bill of my tyre which was baught 6 months back, how and where can i get it replaced.
Please let me know.

Do i need return to the vendor from whom i bought or i can replace it with any authorized dealer.

1. Quality of apollo tyres
2. How you handle a quality & complaint related to your product.
I am very sad and worried that, we are risking our life with apollo tyres.
History as below...
Apollo alnac 4gs (215/60 16r) a set of 5 tyres comes as original tyres in my brezza.
1. I have got done first wheel alignment and tyre rotation as per procedure at 14, 000km.in the process, a stepney tyre is changed with the one of the used tyre from the veicle.
2. Some where in september 2018, durig filing air i observed there was a bulge in the sidewall of the stepney tyre
3. The same was brought to the notice of the maruti dealer during service on 7th october at sai service ltd borivali east
4. The service engineer takes a photo (Using his mobile) of the tyre and assures we shall revert in 4 to 5days.
5. Even after repeated calls and a visit to sai service borivali on 5th december i get to know the claim on tyre is rejected by apollo tyres, i receive a note copy signed by mr vignesh ganesh, business consultant andheri west mumbai.
6. Apollo as reputed company how can it reject a claim even without physically inspecting the tyre?
7. How a tyre at 14, 000km usage can develop side wall bulges?
8. Are we no risking our lives?
9. How is that an suv tyre is poor in quality?
10. Why cant the company check the tyre physically and understand what is wrong with the quality?
11. What about warranty you provide on suv tyres? Does those statements are all brave messages that ends in tv advertisement only???

I am not interested in a free tyre from you, but i am really worried about my life while using apollo tyres.
I always prefer mnc brands because my life is precious to me.

I purchased two apllo tyres last year for my nissan sunny car. Both tyres are worn out just with in 35000 kms run. The apollo dealer at purakkalam (Kuthuparamba) refused to replace the tyre arguing that the tyres issue is not due to any manufacturing defect. They are totally ignoring the two years unconditional warranty provided by the company.

The company should honor the warrantee and arrange to replacement of the faulty unit warrantee claim id is ckdaag26

Do not buy apollo tyres

The car tyre got cut in 7483km and when contacted the apollo tyre concerned team has outsourced the tyre inspection and these are the reasons mentioned by them,
Possible causes
1. Over inflation (I do not keep more than 33psi in the wheel)
2. Sudden impact on tread by an external/sharp during service (!!! How this can be brought as a reason.. You tyre is intend to survive with the sudden impact atleast for a minimum guaranteed mileage. My car has gone only 7483km that too only on the highways)
3. Running of tyre over pot holes at high speed (Do you want me to run my car in the aeroplane runway!!!. Driving with family on road means safety.. Will any person with sense will drive at high speed on pot holes noted)
4. Cut induced concussion
5. Use of tyres with tread distortion (This is a new tyre i suppose and how can this be a reason.. Aren’t you questioning your own tyre quality)
6. Overage tyre — (Don’t see the odometer reading that you have mentioned in the report. How this can be a overage tyre)

May i also know under what conditions will you replace a tyre… the ones kept in showroom???

As per your assessment and inspection you have provided below probable cause, which is just based on assumption.
Did you even look at the tyre before writing your report or is it just format to paste on your customers face.
If you even had one look at the tyre there is not a single scratch from any side (Inner or outer) of the tyre, there is no puncher till date and was never opened before and it is as it is since i got it with my car on march 2018, these reasons you provided below are nonsence and i do not agree with it.
This is clearly a manufacturing defect and you need to replace it, i know you said you test the tyre before despacting it but do you also run it for 6-7k kilometers to see if this can be a defect in future or you just assume it
I am not going to to pay for this where there was no fault from my end, and i really don't have time to waste it on arguing and writing and replaying you on email.
I just want you to simply replace it nothing else or i'll take strict action against the company.

Probable reasons : road hazard, impact damage, pinch shock, mounting/demounting damage
On bead run flat, improper repair, tread/ shoulder puncture damaging tyre from inside
Misapplication, wrong tyre or rim size selection

Dear team, i am very disappointed with the quality of tyres apollo is providing. I purchased hyundai grand i10 in april 2014.in may 2014, one of my car tyre striked on small stone and tyre got burst. I asked in showroom in delhi for warranty but they denied as it was not bursted due to manufacturing defect. Now today 5th dec 2018 my car punchered and when i took it to mechanic he said tyre has worn and air is leaking from it, strange.. Also there are 4-5 punctures apart from it and without any type of nail injected. Very strange. My car is very less driven.in these 4.5 yrs, km driven is 20000 approx. Very bad quality of tyres. I never faced such type of quality issues with my other vehicles. Now puncture is not possible. Only option for me is to get it changed. Also i am not confident to again use apollo tyre as i had very bad expierence with it. Can i expect any help from a brand like apollo tyre in terms of replacement?

Rear Tyre of my Maruti Swift car purchased in March, 2018, all of a sudden burst at inner part of the Tyre when the car was parked.
Complaint made at Sanei Motors Pvt LTD, Kolkata and they forwarded the Tyre to Apollo vide receipt no. :[protected] on 3/12.
Got mssg. that there was no workmanship or material issue. If complaint is not addressed I will approach the consumer forum since it is under the guarantee period and if it would have happened when the car was on the run, it would have been a fatal accident and my life might have been at risk. There is no reason how inner side of the Tyre was affected.
It is purely a manufacturing fault and I demand replacement of the Tyre.

I have a new maruti car in which all tyres are of appolo tyres. One of the tyre is bubbling within 3500km which is within one year of purchase. Sky automobiles from which i brought my car have given one complain letter to the nearest dealer for replasing the tyre. But jagatpur appolo tyre manager denai. So we the poor people suffering a lot. I feel from his conversation that he only replaces few cases whome he knows verywell. He replied showing fake causes. Such a big company creats bad name for their employee. As my little brother is alawyer i want file one consumercase against company and can highlighted in media.

I have elite i20 asta which has tyre of apollo company - alnac 4g. 195/55 r16. I noticed a bulge on side wall. The request for replacement rejected stating that it is external damage, whereas there was no external damage, the tyre is in warranty, it has run only 15000km. There was no impact which may cause such bulge.

Also apollo company claims warranty for any damages but they are not responding the way they have mentioned on their site and advertisement.

Tyre replacement request was submitted at tyre palace, bhiwani.

I want the tyre to be re-inspected. There is no damage on tyre except the small bulge. It is covered under warranty

Sorry that i have to reach you but i donot have option. I have recently interacted with apollo tyre for the complain number cdkiqj83 which was very disappointing and unsatisfactory.

My car tyre having issue and bubbles coming out of that which is just 19 month old and total running of 18000 kms running. There was puncture in tyre 45 days back when i was on a long drive and when i noticed i repaired the puncture. I logged the complain on 5th november for this and visited the center today for inspection. The service center simply rejected the request saying it cannot be covered in the warranty and i have to buy a new one. This was very disheartening to hear that company says that tyre having unconditional warranty and now having lots of term and condition applied on this. The executive say if you want to escalate you can do but nothing can be done.

I need your help to get this addressed asap and see what can be done for this case i was expecting the replacement.

I must say that it was really bad experience with apollo tyre which is one of the best company and dealing with their customer in this fashion in post service.

I have registered a complaint no. Cdkiqe35 in apollo company as front left tyre of my elite i20 got a bubble/bulge without any accident/impact. I have submitted the tyre at tyre palace, bhiwani (Authorised appollo centre, bhiwani) they have taken the tyre on my request and assured me that they will send it for replacement.

However the tyre is returned without any meaningful reason, as the tyre was was almost brand new (80 % new), i request you to change the same.

I purchased baleno zeta from nexa the kothari wheels pune on 05 feb 2018. I received my car with all 4 tyres of apollo r16 make. While driving on 17/11/18 co-passenger side tyre busted. I was driving at speed of 50kmph. Iam very much disappointed with the quality of tyres. As nexa and apollo speaks of safety of car owners as their prime moto n people are being cheated by such poor quality of tyres. This could have been worst. How can tyre git burst just use of 3800km.

Currently i submitted the tyre along with alloy wheel to the kothari wheels wagholi pune workshop and they told me to send it to shivkrishna associates wagholi dealer for inspection.

I request you to replace my burst tyre and ask your team to change my all r16 tyres as i don’t trust them anymore.

I have sent apollo tyre (195/55 r16 87h alnac 4g (Ms-yra) tl-d) for replacement in warranty as this is new tyre, just 4800 km running to otherwise apollo center vide receipt no. [protected].

It is manufacturing defect from company as new tyre got puncture but company is not giving replacement tyre by saying there is no workmanship or material related issue whereas it is clear that how come new tyre is of no use just in 4800 km run.

Need help here to get replacement tyre.

Hi team, in last 10 days back to back my 3 apollo get cracking & bulging issue, its really hard to believe in apollo tyre now, m having one more car with mrf tyre (Using from last 4 year) & they don't have any issue..

It's really bad experience & i don't want to recommend others too for apollo tyre. Even my one tyre got cracked on highway while driving, for that tyre i asked your service engineer to get it checked for bulging issue (As i received feedback from 3 dealer) but he clearly denied for this issue on same date i faced this cracking issue.

Dear sir, i have vitara brezza zdi whose tyre got a huge bubble, after that i shown it to apollo tyre representative and he told me that today is sunday so no engineer is available and advise me to drive nothing will happen to tyre, within 3 km the tyre got burst, next day i visit to service station and shown to engineer and he told me that tyre cannot be replace because the tyre is burst by cut not by bubble, please look into this matter.

Dear team, I have raised the complain for apollo tyre but their field engr is not checking properly and denied to change . This tyre has three cut, which can cause accident.After multiple calls and confirmation it is still not resolved.

This tyre has issues since begining but now it is increasing day by day.
Below is update on 22nd from Appolo ‘Thank you for calling Apollo Helpline. Our field engineer would get in touch with you in next 48 Hrs regarding your complaint CDIIKB88.’

This appears on 4K drive but it was not visible. At 13 k it is increased and cause a big accident .

I registered complaint(CDIIKE67) for cut on my EcoSport tyre and got response from dealer that it is not covered under warranty.It has ran 10500 Km and while driving discovered this cut.i dont u understand what kind of warranty are u providing.The dealer has checked at his end and confirmed that it will not be covered under warranty.Request you to pleass look into it and provide any solution.
