Hi,

I bought apple IPhone from MobileStore, Marathalli. It is under warranty till Oct 2010. Currently, the speakers of my phone are not working and when I tried to search for the service center I was not able to find. When I contected MobileStore they are asking me to contact my mobile service provider which is AirTel. I contacted AirTel they are saying that they only provide service to IPhones purchased from them. I tried calling Apple contact center which is having an automated voice. It asks you to contact service provider.

I am not sure what to do now. As i am not able to find an authorized service provider I am not sure from where I can get this mobile serviced.

Please help me

This is a typical scam. There is no phone. You have lost any money you have paid for the "phone." Google Nigerian scam.

Apple Mobile Phone — Not able to track!!

My friend have sent me an apple iphone from Nigeria via EMS speedpost courier service...
he gave me tracking number but i'm not able to track it...
i tried Nigeria EMS Speedpost tracking website as well as Indian EMS tracking website but on both websites it says there is no record for given tracking number...

Will someone care to help me with this tracking thing??

    I went to Croma in Eva mall three or four times to look at the iMAc. After talking to the Apple salesperson there (Divya) I was about to buy when I encountered lousy service from both Croma and this Appple salesperson.
    Twice I went on the day that I was to buy but this salesperson was never there. The Croma salespeople (if I can call them that) were least interested. There were some offers when I first reviewed the product and although I left my phone number, I was never informed of the withdrawl of the offer.
    Very disappointing service and attitude.
    Never Croma and am even reconsidering my decision to buy a Mac.

      Don’t buy Apple products if you are an Indian



      Strange as this may sound, this, in fact is the reality.



      Don’t expect any apple support or service on its products if you are an Indian. Firstly, they don’t have a support network of their own in India – since it is low priority zone as conveyed to me on telephone by the Apple representative from Australia who I contacted. They don’t seem to believe that India is low priority as far as sales is concerned – it is low priority only for repairs and support!



      Working with indecisive domestic partners – I believe they instruct their support partners to– delay repairs (standard procedures, you see) and finally deny repairs.



      My Macbook developed problems with the keystrokes, and the support partner in Hyderabad Ms Ample Technologies had to make me wait for an agonizing 10 days – since they had to escalate issues to Bangalore and then further to Apple – who take their time to arrive at a diagnosis – after the weeks of investigation – which are ‘standard procedures’ the outcome conveyed is that the set is outside the scope of warranty. First shot, I was told that my Macbook might have fallen down, then they tried to tell me that it might have had dust inside and finally they tell me that it is sweat or water. All these colorful opinions emerge one after the other without one bit of certainty. This, in spite the fact that I paid huge sum of money to invest in extended warranty of 3 additional years hoping for the promised level of support.



      My colleague – whose Macbook had a similar problem was instantly serviced when he was in Singapore. No questions asked. No pictures taken. No ‘standard procedures’ clauses.



      In India, if you are an Apple user, you’d be denied and rejected support. If you attempt to escalate and decide to fight it out – as I did – you will find that you have no way of locating any support escalation point other than the standard 1800 phone of Apple India, who are stuffy, monotonous and helpless. Having run into a wall - I had to prise out global emails from the web to offer my point of view. Once – and if - you have managed to do all of this – phew…you will promptly receive a call from Australia – a gentlemen from Apple will offer to investigate and revert within a week – and at the end of the week, he will apologize and state that based on internal investigations, paper procedures, timelines and expert opinions the product may not fall under the scope of support.



      The experience of many other Apple users is similar. My friend had his iPod failing within a week and he was denied replacement or repair. Any guess what was the excuse for denying support – the piece had water marks !!



      So my advice is that don’t buy an Apple product if you are going to use it in India unless you want to be called by an Aussie from Apple and told – after due investigations - that you just dropped it in water mate !

        I purchased Apple ipod shuffle from Chroma (TATA electronics shop). 2 weeks since i boight this product, it has been malfunctioning (headset has become unresponsive and operates erratically) and had was turned down by Chroma, when approached with the complaint. I had checked the apple website and understand this complaint is prevalent with many customers. Looking for justice from either the manufacturer(Apple) or the sales outlet ( Chroma-TATA company) for having sold such a inferior quality product , for a high price and having prior knowledge of this complaint from various counsumer base in different countries.

            After considering 3 brands of laptops (DELL, IBM & MAC), while my original preference was a DELL, since my company has a corporate relationship with DELL and my experience with them has been very pleasant over the years, I still decided to consider buying a MAC, while I was in Singapore, (I am now in Hyderabad). The decision became easy after the retailer shared his opinion of an Apple Mac being sturdy and Apple's service & support very efficient, often a fix in only 24 hours. Since prompt service is very high in my priority for electronic goods, I took the retailer's word and promptly ordered a Mac. I also invested in and paid for EXTENDED warranty of 3 years since support is of strong importance for me and my company.

            I had a pleasant fairly experience with the Mac.

            However, on the morning of 25th Jan 2010, when I attempted to create a document, I found that some of the keys on the keyboard were not working. Recalling the promise of prompt and professional service by Apple - I assured my company, that as soon as the problem is brought to the attention of Apple support staff, they would set the problem right instantly.

            I alerted their technician in February 2nd 2010 - gave them all details of the mac, the problem, my warranty details and also took mvy MAC for inspection. I thought that the support office had enough discretionary powers to take their own decision - however The technician said his only role was to report the problem to his higher-up and so he asked me to await a return message from his own head-office in Bangalore (on email) who in turn would interact with Apple Bangalore. Asked for his initial diagnosis, he said moisture, sweat might have gone in to the laptop or something else could have happened. I asked him for a quick turnaround to which he said "Nothing can be done quickly, we have procedures" Feedback from Bangalore will take 4 days, then another week for repair, provided my headoffice agrees ! He apparently took pictures and sent them over to Bangalore. He told mve he wont need My for inspection, since he had taken pictures.

            Despite waiting for 2 days, there was no telephone call or intimation from anyone from Ample or Apple. I called - and they confirmed that they had already alerted the relevant people and were awaiting response. The next day being Sunday, I assumed that at least on Monday my Mac would be attended to.

            The next business day I received a call and the support staff said "Oh, it is under warranty, no problem" but Apple has not taken any decision yet. But they have asked me to inspect the set once again. I said "WHAT?" " It needs to be checked again, since this is standard practice. I asked him why he couldnt have checked it initially - he said he must have missed to do that !! So, I told him this was pointless and meaningless delay. I was quite irritated that despite waiting for 5 days the Apple support team has not only not taken any decision but needed the Mac again for further inspection !! I He said he needed to look inside one last time and then the set would be repaired. I had to leave for Delhi, so I couldn't take the Mac to Ample for 3 days. When I reached back Hyderabad, I called to check if I could bring the Mac for the inspection as the staff had requested, to which he said "Dont bother, the request for repair has been rejected" The Apple guys have closed the query." If you want, speak to Apple. I cant reveal any more details. I said I dont want any details, just information.

            Now, despite being armed with extended warranty I almost regret the fact that I chose Apple MAC, even in the knowledge that I could have bought DELL or IBM instead.

            So much for Apple's promise of a prompt 24 hour service when I first bought the Mac.
            Now I am left wondering what my next move should be.

            I understand you had this bad experience from Ample Technologies. Trust me Apple Care support is the best in the world. May be one of Apple Authorised Service Provider was not able to meet your expectations. I had visited one of Apple Authorised Service Provider in Bangalore. I guess the name was Neoteric Information Ltd., I am sorry I don't remember the complete name as of now. They are in Wilson Garden, Bangalore. I got my MacBook Pro serviced there. It was amazing. Those guys are really helpful.

            Its not fair to form a wrong perception just because of one service provider Ample Technologies. By the way did you get the issue with your mac resolved ?

              This is Raja Ram from Nagercoil. The TSS (Time Saving Service) named buses are
              running between Nagercoil to Tirunelveli.

              1. But these buses are not saving any time. These buses are entering Panakudi,
              valliur as well as Eruvadi/Nanguneri.
              Amoung these places Panakudi and Nanguneri dont have proper road
              facility(damaged road with full of speed breakers/ No space to even turn the

              2.In addition Conductors of TSS, stops buses at Aralvoimozhi and Kavankinaru
              Junction in collection motive.

              I know to travel between tirunelveli to nagercoil there is new service (End to
              End). But we rarely find this End to End bus in bus stand.


              Please save travelling time by increasing End to End buses or just Rename the
              TSS service as SFS or SSS since they do not save any time.

                I have booked a Mac Book 207 on 9th Dec 2009, and the delivery was promised was after one week on the 16th.On the 16th i was told that it will take 2 more days, after that i called today 18th Dec 2009 i was informed that it will take 4 to 5 more days.Which according to me is very bad customer Service.
                When i asked for a refund i was informed that i will have to pay a 5 to 10 % surcharge as it was paid by card.
                I would like to have the machine by tomorrow or the refund and i wont be paying the surcharge as it is a delay at your end.
                As i am a student and have a lot of projects lined up, and i cant wait for so long to get a computer.

                Hi..You r right, these people are realy not understandable to me also. I also purchase a I pod from them 8 months back, & when i faced the problem in charging they asked me to purchased the original charger to charge the I pod and they sold me Chinese charger in place of Original Apple One. Truly Apple should take action against them.

                  We have purchased Apple Ipod from USA. The sl.no. is YM524A33541. It is 4 GB ipod. The ipod battery has lost its life. When enquired at Chennai, Apple Ipod Service Centre, they were not willing to replace the battery even on chargeable basis.

                      The bluetooth on my 1 month old Apple Macbook Pro stopped working suddenly. I took it to the closest istore in Chennai, India, where I had purchased it from, and the technician there asked me to take it an authorized service center and recommended Datalogics, an apple authorized service center.

                      So called them and got a 1:00 appointment. I landed at Datalogics at 1:00 but was made to wait till 1:30. The technician then cursorily looked at the system and then said that I need to wait. 30 min later a different engineer comes in and I have to start fresh with him. Without looking at the system, his comment was that something inside must have failed and so I should leave my system for "repair". I refused to do that without any logical reason. Called the iStore and told them about the issue I was having.

                      The technical director of Datalogics was then called in. His comment to the iStore technician was that iStore should not send my type of complaints to him. Took that as an insult and stepped out. No use arguing with them.

                      I decided to take the unit to another authorized service provider, Ample Technologies, who got me back and running in 15 min time.

                      Companies like Datalogics should not be made an authorized service provider as they will only spoil Apple's name. The Technical directors name is Mr. V. Diwakar.

                      I am completely agreed with Ravi Moorthy. Even I had one bad experience recently.

                      Datalogics are not solution provider, I think it’s fake.

                      I have taken my iPod touch 2g to them because of some software failure which is not coming under warranty.

                      After two days they called me and told like it’s a hardware problem. I have to pay Rs.11, 000 to get a replacement of new 2g iPod touch (also I have to give the old one). Please remember for the same cost you can get the new one outside (even no need to provide old iPod touch 2g).

                      Please remember one more thing before you go there, they will charge Rs.500 whether the problem s are solved or not. Its include with the useless money laundering comment.

                        It has been 2 months 3days I logged my complaint for Macbook at following Service centre as “Crack on the top case and crack on the display Bessel” while registering the complaint they registered as: “Crack on the top case and small line on the display Bessel”. When I asked them that there is crack on display Bessel also they confirmed me that they will correct complaint as “a small line on display Bessel” into “crack on display Bessel”, After that No reply from the apple side, I called at least 20 times, up till now I only called to the apple service centre, not a single call came from apple side, after so many days, they are not able to give status and reason for delay in replacement. Each time they given me no answer, finally when I called to apple service centre two times that day, they said on 2nd-Jun-09 (after 62 days). “Only top case will be replaced and not display Bessel”, and more over they are not confirming that, they had registered the complaint properly as “Crack on the top case and crack on the display Bessel”, this delay and miscommunication is not expected from a company like Apple having International Reputation, after seeing all things happed, why I should not go to the Consumer Court for a product with manufacturing defects and bad after sales services.

                            I want to bring to your kind notice that I had taken an iPhone 3G from iMAGiNE Store, Level 2, U.B. City, Vittal Mallaya Road, Bangalore on the above said date.
                            But, I feel sorry to say that the iPhone 3G is not still a year old and already the vibrator/ringer button has been dislodged from its place. I also want you to note that the button has not fallen due to some physical damage/strain accidently.
                            Now, that I have returned the iPhone 3G to the above mentioned dealer for repair/replacement on May 09, 2009, the dealer is telling me that the iPhone 3G has been water logged and hence it cannot be serviced further according to the Airtel service centre.
                            The issue was only to replace back the vibrator/ringer button to its slot. What I fail to understand is what was the need of opening my iPhone and later after 10 days, informing me that the iPhone 3G cannot be service. I request you to seriously look into the matter and do the needful. Already it has leaded me to a lot of loss.
                            Any further information if you need, I am ready to give you.

                                We have purchased an iPhone (S) Serial No.84831CB9Y7H (Apple 3G- iphone-8GB, Manufactured in August 2008) on September 11, 2008 costing Rs. 29640/-. We received the accessories, a charger (2B83004SKYPSA), USB Chord and operating manual. The iPhone charger is faulty we had given it to Vodafone gallery at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. They have repaired and reissued the same piece to us. However after a weeks time this adopter has again stopped working.
                                It seems that this is the faulty piece of adopter and needs to be replaced. This complaining activity is unnecessarily consuming our time and we are subjected to nonsense arguments with Vodafone gallery staff and harassment by Vodafone-Apple people. This is also creating a lot of inconvenience in using such a expensive instrument.
                                We request you to replace this faulty adopter/charger immediately and stop unnecessary harassment.

                                    Today i went to apple's premium store, iworld at Ansal plaza, Delhi .I wanted to by an apple remote.
                                    Online At apple's site it's Price is given Rs. 890 + taxes (in total about Rs.1000) . When i went to iworld they told me it is for Rs. 1600. When i told them that it is for Rs. 890 on apple's site they started making excuses and said that they wouldn't sell it for less than Rs. 1600. This is a clear case of overcharging. Sir, i request you to please do something so that the same does not happen with other consumers.

Their phone no. was also given as 26854086.
                                      I did not receive the item yet. I could not contact OJJAS over phone as the recorded message says that this phone is temporarily withdrawn.

                                      Today when I called up your office I was asked to register another complaint and it was understood as per your record the item has been delivered on 09.07.09 which never reached me. I understand it is because of the courier service. I would like to have the courier details and book them under law. I wonder how can such a reputed company like you can have a tie up with such useless and unreliable courier service which can harm the reputation of Rediffshopping.

                                      Dear Sir

                                      We have bought one I-pod for Rs.750 from shop in Udhaya nagar ,Tin Factory , Bangalore. After buying the item and within 3-4 days the item gone defective and as the shopkeeper told us 6 months warranty while buying .We have returned the item for repair and after that we have walked to his shop more than one month within every 4-5 days.Every time he was asking time from us without proper response.Finally last friday we had gone for getting the item he said its not ready and we asked him to return back the money.He was fighting with us he wont give money,even if he return he will give only Rs.400 instead of rs.750. So we got fully offended and asked why should we pay 350 rs without even using the product one week.Then he replied he wont give money and product too .He shouted us whatever we want we can do.
