Hello officers,

I have purchased asus x541u laptop from croma retail on 27th sept 2017.
Croma has promised me following :
1. Defect free product from asus.
2. Additional 2 years warranty @rs. 999 from asus

1. Defective product from asus
Just with in 1 month, the laptop started lagging even when there were no applications installed in the system also the laptop makes a humming sound. So i raised a service request with the asus support to rectify the problem, the service engineer recorded the issue and marked it resolved without doing anything and assured us that the problem is solved but just after 15 days laptop went into hung mode and i had to perform recovery to resolve the issue, just after that we observed battery discharge issue with the laptop post which i raised a complaint with asus to provide me a replacement laptop since this laptop was violating basic right of consumer - right to receive a defect free product. So asus kept me busy in mail trails for next 1.5 months and finally came to conclusion that they cannot replace the laptop but replace a part and i would have to continue using this laptop which is already having several performance and hardware issue.

2. Refusal to provide additional warranty at offer price
Asus promised 2 years additional warranty @999 for the purchase made during the offer period. Due to negligence of croma retail, there was an incorrect bill which caused delay in providing correct bill as per the offer conditions mentioned by asus. However after the correct information was produced to asus, i got email for the team to apply for non transferable extended warranty and make a payment in just one day, since i was facing challenges with this laptop so i requested asus redemption team of get a clarification from asus support on progress of dispatching the replacement laptop and extend warranty on this replacement laptop. They did no take any action even after repeated follow-ups on mail trails and calls. They refused to co-operate and finally refused to provide me the promised offer warranty extension.

I being an informed consumer offered asus to verify the defect with and provide me a replacement laptop and extend the warranty on this laptop but asus customer support refused to oblige to any of my request mentioned above. I have invested plenty of time and effort in negotiating with asus and croma retail but i don't see things moving. Finally i had to knock door of consumer compaints to provide me my basic rights of a consumer - a defect free product and promised offer.

The mobile display is pronblem
I want to bring a class action suit against such warranty refusals against ASUS India. I believe that only images are shared over WhatsApp or email with their technical team which then gives replies voiding waranty. They do not manually inspect before such refusals. All inspections are done locally by some inefficient chappie. Any way, ASUS refused a warranty for me for a brand new laptop in just 2-3 months citing water damage. My only query is if it is water damage, then why should only one component in their mother be faulty? Besides they have a cheap exterior that cannot take care of humidity and there is a overheating problem as well. After this experience, I am not advising anyone to procure ASUS laptops. They are cheap manufacturers even though they are Taiwanese. Looks that profits are more important than loyal customers. Also their design does not improve at all. Only their specs improves. I now know why Apple or SONY are better. They not only last 5-6 years, they also take care all these issues professionally.

    Hi,

    It has been more than 2 months that i have emailed you guys again after the phone was repaired for the second time the sim 1 slot stopped working which was working fine earlier before repairs and i have absolutely no response from your end. I was akso informed that there would be a replacement if any further issues but have received no response yet and the handset is again lying unused for almost 2 months now since the sim 1 slot stopped working after the repairs. Moreover i had submitted the handset for display flickering issue and requested to get the display changed which was not done and the phone software was just updated and given and the same issue still persists. I had very well mentioned i am busy with work and can't everytime visit the service centre and need a replacement if any issues after the repairs but there has been no response at all from your end and the handset warranty expires in october. I was also told about that i would get a warranty extension etc when i was given the handset after repairs no any update on that too. I will be filing a case with the district consumer court as i had reported the issue before the warranty expired and there has been no response from your end.

    Please check the details of my previous email below and the attached screenshots as i need an immediate response asap or call me on [protected] or [protected].

    As per my conversation with you guys today i spoke to you guys and agreed fine u guys check about the replacement and let me know but i'm collecting my handset from the service centre as i need to use it and i did inform you guys prior if any issues i need an instant replacement.

    Now u guys have replaced the sim card slot don't know for reason and the jio sim that i have been using in this handset since november is not working?

    If i use it any other handset it works.

    I now need an instant replacement no more waiting or will have to now get it resolved through the consumer court.

      My phone (Asus zenfone 3 max) was having sound problem in speaker, they don't resolve that problem and always spend my time in updating and rebooting my phone, they have changed my imei number without informing me and they create problem in finger sensor, and after all resolving this they create another problem in speaker again.
      They don't receive call and treat me like foolish guy. I am a student and i can't attend my class due this.

        Hi mera naam balramtomar he. Mene asus ka h61 mothor bord kharida vo sirf 25 din hi work kiya or ek din system par work karne ke baad band kiya to dusne din system on hi nahi hua. Macnic ne bord se problum batayi to mene bord ko replace ke liye check kara kar bheja usne koi figical damage nahi tha but compny ne uski service nahi di or ek pin tutne ka likhkar bord bapis kar diya. Mera paisa barbad ho gaya or ab bord kisi kaam ka nahi raha. Please kuchh madad karen.

          I am muthuraj from chennai, tamilnadu, india.

          I got a brand new laptop from a asus laptop shop called "synergy systems and peripherals, nungambakkam, chennai on 2-nov-2017 and i started using it only on 13-nov-2017,
          I was not able to use the laptop immediately as i had a personal loss in my family and i had to go out of station to my native place and came back later and had other personal things with regard to the personal loss

          When i started using the laptop on 13-nov-2017 i found the laptop was slow and when i did the virus scan, it had trojans and viruses in the laptop. When i got the laptop on 2-nov-2017, i found the mcafee trial version coming with the new laptop, has expired 16 days back and when i asked the sales person, how can it expire when it is brand new laptop, he told me that it has to be registered and did something and got the virus scanner active.

          Next thing i found the folders like downloads, documents, desktop, etc created on 7-sep-2017 and the mcafee virus scanner shows the report for last 69 days in the mcafee home page. Yesterday when i scanned i found there were 16 viruses and trojans.

          So on 14-nov-2017 morning i took my laptop to the asus store"synergy systems and peripherals", nungambakkam and told him all the problems, but the sales person told me to call the customer care toll free number[protected].

          When i spoke to the customer care representative and told him the problems and said, i want this used laptop which has been sold to me as a brand new laptop to be replaced with a brand new laptop, he told me that i have to take this to the asus service center and the laptop service engineer would investigate and would replace the laptop if found genuine.

          So i took this laptop to the asus service center at mount road at the following address

          The laptop service engineer investigated and told me that someone has used it as the folders like documents, download are created only when doing the logical disk partition and starting the laptop for the first time after the purchase.

          So then i made a conference call with customer care representative, laptop service engineer and myself. And updated this to the customer care rep. Then the customer care representative asked the laptop service engineer to provide the solution, the laptop service engineer told me that they only do the servicing and they cannot exchange the laptops and for this i have to contact the sales store from where i bought the laptop.

          So the customer care representative asked me to go and speak to the asus store sales person from where i got the laptop.

          I told the customer care person that, i went to the asus store in the morning and they told me to speak to the customer care and when i spoke to customer care, they asked me to contact the asus service center and now again you are asking me to speak to asus sales store. Looks like everyone is passing the bug to the other and asking me to go from one place to the other. So at this stage he gave me this mail-id [protected]@asus.com, which is the asus head office mail-id and asked me to send a mail and told me that i would get a reply immediately.

          So i wrote a mail expecting a positive response from the head office, but till today i have not got any response from asus regarding this.

          I also contacted the sales person, at the store "synergy systems and peripherals", nungambakkam, chennai, from where i got the laptop, she told me that she will speak to the company and do the needful as early as possible, but later when i called her, she asked for week time to resolve the issue. I kept calling her daily to find the status, but after a week she stopped picking up my call and even started to disconnect my call.

          So finally i am writing this complaint here expecting a quick positive response.

          Within a month of purchasing Asus phone, I had issues with charging, finger print and the apps were also not opening. My phone was in service center for 2 months. And finally got it back and nothing was changed. It is the worst phone ever. Please don't buy.

            Hi everyone, i had purchased asus laptop on 30-may-2015, and i extended my warranty as per the offer "back to school" available on that time, i got my goods by courier, but i didn't got warranty certificates, now i am getting issue with this asus laptop speakers, i send the goods delivery mail & my purchased bill by mail, from last month this conversation going on but they didn't found any solution for my problem, is this is the service providing by asus company to the customer. Hope i will get service & get reply back.

            I use Asus phone, Model Number: ASUS_X008DA, two months back,
            It's performance is worst since then, its slow and phone gets switched every now and then, does not get on for more then 30mins.

            Please help replacing my phone or resolving the issue
            My pc shutdown when adapter is unplugged.This is not happening every time but i am really struggling with this problem. I need a convenient solution for this problem.

            boot the laptop in safemode recheck the problems again
            after finished cheked, boot the windows to normal mode

            and then click on my products, choose the laptop and see service extended pack has been activated,
            I bought vivobook 15 r542uq-dm153 from asus exclusive showroom in Bangalore with two years global onsite warranty and then I boughtextened warrant via online payment using exclusive showroom account
            after two days, I went to https://account.asus.com, I checked extended its already been activated

              I purchased a laptop worth rupees 1 lakh 40 thousand, it is not even 25 days old,
              And i m getting screen problem, i. E - i can see yellow colour circles on the top left and right corner of the screen, specially at blank screen. I asked asus online to make replacement of this product they are denying for replacing... (They say replacement are done within 7 days) according to terms though i also paid 2500rs. For offer like warranty extension, mouse and 2500 myntra coupon, according to terms i should get mouse and myntra coupon within 15 days from the date they received the payment, i got confirmation mail that asus received money on 14th nov. And still today is 1 december 2017 i did not got any item,, so where is the terms and conditions now asus india? I m very much disappointed with asus they lost all the trust of mine, now i m feeling regret that instead of getting rog i should have bought alienware... I want replacement or my money back

                I have registered complaint in service centre. Rma number is ins2h80136. This is registered a month ago. After that also same problem in phone. Again given back to service center. Replaced some parts. But still same problem repeats. Again i need to give my mobile in service center for a week. Then for what i purchase mobile? To keep my mobile in service center? Again and again same problems. There is no point of giving back to service centre. Asus dont have good and better technical person in service centre.

                Phone problem is not charging, battery discharges soon. These are the compalints. But asus couldnt help us. So please guys never by product of asus.. Cheaters. Please share this in all social media. If i dint got any support from asus i am posting my complaint details all over the social media.

                  My asus zenfone 3 (5.5), a fabulous phone i have ever used but there is a problem that i watch after using it for sometime, it's camera protection glass has broken, i has seen it's camera features included that it's camera glass is very strong.
                  Its really bad to look camera and it also affect to camera working, i can't be able to click clear pictures.
                  Plz change the glass or my phone.

                  Since my mobile had some issue with charging and slim slots, I gave my mobile to the Asus service center located at Patny, Secunderabad. They have resolved the issue and charged around Rs.1200. And when i checked the mobile, they've created another issue to the mother board.

                    Hello,

                    I bought asus notebook a555l last year. Just before 2 months from now i had a problem that my lcd has some problem and need to get replaced, during that repairing time i got to know from asus that my harddrive and motherboard are also having a problem and need to get replaced. Before that, there was no problem.

                    I agreed to them and allow them to replace whatever needed to get my laptop working.

                    Since then i am facing trouble with graphics and my laptop lags too much. I mailed them to help me and they were telling that my warranty is over but i had 2 years of global warranty and i sent them my invoice as a proof., they told me to send same to another team to get my warranty checked whether it is available or not, i did same as they told and mailed the other team. It has been almost 15 days and i haven't received any update on that and now i am tired and forced to complain this issue here.

                      I have taken asus zefone selfie and once i have upgraded it then the volte was vanished and i have visited the service center at begumpet they were very rude and impolite and the service technicians was manner less with me and they said that there is a hardware problem in my mobile which takes 4 days for time so i asked them to give me a mobile for temporary use but they refused to do so so could you please tell me what should i do for the same i need an appropriate action regarding the issue and
                      Particularly in begumpet service center which is located on rebook showroom first floor they are giving the product with damage and loss could you please arrange me a new quakity phone without any problem

                        Dear consumers,
                        It is really a matter of great surprise that i had purchased one mobile handset for my personal use. Asus company had provided one year warranty. The handset was charged 60% in the morning when i put it on the screen was not on. Hence i sent the handset to your at laxmi nagar service centre.
                        Since last one month the set is lying at asus service centre now they are asking charges of rs 11, 000/- very surprising that the handset purchased at 10, 000 bill attached and the service centre is asking to pay rs 11, 000/- this is a way of cheating by asus to indian consumers.
                        I had purchased that since the company is located in india and it will provide uninterrupted service on their products otherwise i may had purchased at 3000 or 5000 which is easily available online sell.
                        To provide service under warranty company is not taking any liability for repair or replacement of the set and blaming me for water inside the set. If there was water your service centre had not to accept it for repairing purpose on the same day. This is not a fair for the consumer like me.

                            It is to be regretted that since last august i am not getting smooth service in my handset i) bsnl sim is not operating in slot 1/2, same sim when put in the other set works smoothly ii) jeo service is too slow in the handset since august whether any error in the setting. Please attend the complain at the earliest my handset is in warranty period. M y problem was not resolved when i approached your company sales boy at sanjeev store digboi. Please resolve the problem at the earliest. I have observed that there is no problem with bsnl sim or net work same sim when put in the other set starts working with the network.

                                Solve my problem becoz rs17900 is not a big issue but i have sir... I have a zenfone 3 max which is less than 6 month... I had a mother board problem but after solving the problem from the very respected service centre from bhubaneshwar. Odisha... They solved the problem but voltie option is not there which was coming from the purchase of the mobile... I m staying 200 kms away from service centre... Should i go to that place again to solve my problem again... Call me if asus is so much careful for its customer... Asus should have known that after sales service is very much important for its customers.. I just love this brand... But... Just call me i ve many more to say... Decency i will maintain... I m worried now... Solve it as soon as possible

                                I bought a new mobile its ASUS Zonfone Selfie 4, specification front camera 20 + 8 but am unable to use it only one camera only working. I dont know how to switch that camera please help me regarding this. Asap

                                  I have given the product for service and mentioned that device is behaving mad if internal memory exceeds 16 GB out of 32 GB, Charging slow, Touch not working proper and micro phone problem on June 10th 2017. Once the issue is fixed they delivered the defective device on 20th July 2017, after that i have submitted my device thrice in service centre but every time they delivered the defective piece with multiple new issues. After that we communicated the same thing to customer support team they responded with concerned team but the concerned team even though i wrote multiple times through mail communication there is no proper response and in return they are behaving very rudely.

                                  They gave the commitment that they will replace the device if the issue still persist after fourth service. But now the device is not stabilized and now they are not responding properly.

                                  I need the replacement for the device.

                                  I don't know what wrong with ASUS technical team they said they serviced and tested my unit but the issues not resolved. Closed the complaint raised on consumer with the comment saying that did the service and waiting for customer to pick it up.
                                  They promised to refund my mobile twice. But they failed on that as well. They did 7 services to my mobile but still my mobile is not perfect.

                                    I bought asus e202s two months back from one of the asus authorized distributor in coimbatore for business trip. Buy it faced lot of difficulty in handling the product. Its not user friendly and the process is very slow, i contacted the seller and discussed about the same. But the refuse to exchange the product and didn't provide right support. At the time of purchase they very much recommend this product but now they told the performance of this product is limited. We are ready to pay difference amount and upgrade the product. Kindly do the needful.

                                      Bought asus r558u on dec 12, 2016. It has not been a day since that this laptop has run smoothly without any glitches.
                                      Not only is surprisingly slow to do anything, it shuts down on its own, it hangs, the screen turns black besides that drivers are causing trouble.
                                      I think this is a fake product and i have been conned into buying this.
                                      This product is still under warranty.
                                      I either want a refund or i want a brand new replaced product.
                                      Kindly look into the matter.

                                        Sir/madam,
                                        I bought an asus laptop, becomes faulty. Today it has been 39 days, they have not resolve the issue & kept the laptop under their custody. It is under warranty period.
                                        I requested them so many times that please either replace it or refund. But they dont adress my problem properly and ask me to wait.
                                        39 days realy a long period. They are cheating indian customer by selling defective model which they ceased in foreign country. I think they are just clearing their stock in india.

                                        Please help me.
