We availed an agri loan (Overdraft) on april 30, 2019 from the axis bank, nagercoil branch (Tamilnadu). We had given some of our property documents to them. Due to some reasons, we decided to close that loan. We contacted the manager of nagercoil branch in the first week of october 2019 regarding this. He suggested us to pay all the pending funds. We did the same on october 9, 2019. The manager said that the loan will be closed within two business days and we can get the original copy of our properties on october 25, 2019. We believed the same and kept calm. On october 25, 2019, when we contacted the manager to get back our property documents, he says, we need to pay yet another 3304 rupees. I don't understand. He says he never knows the procedure to close an agri loan. What an irresponsible answer from a branch manager. Then we contacted the officer from rajapalayam branch (Head office). He too says the same. We need our documents. The bank people wants us to pay interest till the end of our life. We didn't expect this from a bank like this.
