I have opened an account with axis bank approximately before 3 months. Unfortunately, i am not operating that account for the past 2.5 months (Approx.) and no balance was available on that duration. An executive from axis bank messaged me stating that i need to close my account or else they will file me on cibil. When i called back the representative and asked, he told me he has accidentally messaged me instead of a credit card holder named the same as me. Come on... You do not ask a credit card holder to close the account. Do you? Its meaningless. Its just a bluff from the representative, i believe. Further, he told that people from their side is asking to close the accounts which does not have transactions. Why you didn't mention these things while i was opening an account with you? Are you forcing to make compulsory transactions to a savings bank account within three months of time?? Else, you ask them to close the account? Doesn't it look idiotic? Never heard of anything like this from any bank, except you. Its strange.
I would like to ask, what kind of bank are you operating, to issue such an idiotic statement to a customer holding a savings bank account with you and who are you to file me on cibil for not depositing money to my savings bank account? Its my decision whether to deposit or not. Its not your money. Its mine. I am the decision maker here, not you. Further, you didn't mention this non-sense, while i was opening an account with you. If my account has fallen below the minimum balance, collect the minimum balance non-maintenance charges from me. I will pay you. Apart from that, you can't speak to a customer in such a non-sense way. Now i have decided to move on to icici bank because of this stupid and funny threat. Makes no sense anyway.
As a matter of fact, i was planning to operate it as my only savings account from next month. If this ridiculous statement was not made, i would have continued with you. Feeling shameful to be a customer of you.
