Would like to share my experience with axis bank, so that others don't suffer the way i have.
I have availed a home loan from axis in 2014 for 18 lakhs and in 2015 paid back 12 lakhs so the pending was 6 lakhs.
Last year availed a top up of 4 lakhs which was hl top up, which went fine. (Total outstanding 10 lakhs)
This year as i needed a to up again applied again for a top up of 4.5 lakhs on 11th july. This is the date when all documents were submitted to the sales guy.
I was promised that it would be a hl top up again and as i had very good repaying history, i thought it would be easy.
Note - i was given 18 lakhs in 2014 and with this current top up the total outstanding with axis would be 14.5lakhs which makes me a good history.
So 11th july the documents were collected, legal and technical were done, and post that was informed that this would be lap as per bank rule after i paid 5900. Why. Note - govt banks would charge less than this amount.
Then again in 2014 i was charged 50, 000/- for insurance of 18 lakhs and now as the total outstanding would be 14.5 lakhs would not require insurance however still bank was forcing me to take insurance, but being a smart customer i protested it and have send an email.
On 21st aug the sales guy finally came with the agreement for signing post follow ups by me, now again i had asked to keep the tenure as full however selected as 20 years.
Today is 23rd august and since 11th july a customer who has good repayment history is suffering, then why do we go to private banks, why not sbi who is the cheapest in india. I had agreed to lap however the case is still pending for approvals which was not the case last year.
The sales manager mr suryavanshi has left and the new manager has agreed that there are many new joiners and has agreed to the problems in the team.
I was not expecting this from axis and am shocked. I want everyone to know this and can provide proofs for the same, so that every customer can make a smart choice.
I will shift my entire home loan to sbi and if i have do everything out there its ok, as their rates are the best in the market.
There is serious need for training and development of your people. There is no way axis can return the time wasted by me and the mental harassment done. Its business and you will loose all customers if you don't value your customers time. As i have wasted 1.5 months just for a simple top up.
