I held 2 cards with Axis Bank.
Card ending - 0758 - Credit Limit: Rs. 4, 70, 000/-
Card ending 6819 - Credit Limit: Rs. 3, 90, 000/-
Both cards had separate limits as demonstrated by usage of my cards, the statements and the app where it clearly shows Available credit limit.
I applied for Magnus credit card and got it with a credit limit of Rs. 4, 70, 000/-.
However, when I tried to swipe it for a large transaction, it was declined, stating that there is no limit. I checked on the app and it shows limit of Rs. 4, 69, 700/-.
When I call customer care, standing at the swipe machine at the shop, I am told that the limit is a TOTAL limit of Rs. 4, 70, 000/- across all three cards now.
This was not informed to be by anyone at Axis Bank. Nor was it mentioned in the app where till date it shows separate credit limits and separate available credit limits.
This is also against my 2 cards earlier where there was a completely SEPARATE limit amongst the two cards.
So this change was not brought to my attention.
Therefore, due to this embarrassment I faced of having my card declined, and the non informing of changes in credit limit to me and the app and customer service not being in sync, I want to cancel my 3 credit cards numbers ending:
0758, 6819 and 9793.
Moreover, I applied for Axis Bank Magnus Card recently and was given card ending 9793. I am disputing the charges of the joining fees and WILL NOT be paying the joining fees as I do not want to keep any Axis Bank card after this behaviour of the bank.
Moreover, I informed the bank of this on 1st March 2022, well before the 10th March Due date of the statement of this card. The service request numbers are 72286310, 72286321, 72286331.
Till date, I have not received any call from Axis bank to discuss the issue inspite of calling on 7th March, 8th March and 10th March as well.
So in conclusion, I do not want a relationship with Axis Bank. I am not paying the joining fees of Magnus credit card.
