Myself, dr. Krishna jaiswal, owner of pulsar 135 ls bs-iv variant purchased on 3rd of december 2016 from jadavpur, kolkata - 32.
I moved to siliguri in month of august 2017, after few weeks i faced a problem - leakage of petrol from a pipe underneath the engine which i failed to figure it out at first, i asked to check the bike from a nearby bike repairing centre, they came to the conclusion that a valve is defective inside the carburetor, so they changed, no issues.
After aprox. 2 month my bike suddenly stops & refuse to start while driving and won't get start after overnight standing. I attended bajaj service centre, sevoke road, siliguri - 734001, after their assessment and evaluation they concluded the battery is defective, they gave me letter for battery replacement to amco lih7566650, till then the kick lever also got rusted, noted for replacement. Amco did replaced the battery after checking the initial one on 26-10-17. Since then bike was running ok for around 15 days, then again starting problem, went to service centre again they checked keeping my bike for 4 days, concluded the battery is defective, again i went to amco service centre, narrating the problem faced, they were ready to give replacement, but i opted for maintainace free amco catz5lb model on 17-11-17. After 8-9 days bike again refused to start, went to service centre, they checked concluded battery is defective, i asked them i want proof, they show me on multimeter, there were no load detector, gave me letter to amco, amco people checked they said battery is ok, he again fitted the battery with the bike, magically bike began to function normally. I didn't went back to service centre to tell them about the failure to detect the problem and keep harassing the customers. After few days my bike again started showing similar problem, failed to start infrequently and suddenly stops while riding the bike, i dont want to visit the service centre again, because of the poor service quality and smirky nature of the technician, no one want to take the allocation of my bike for servicing.
On 7-12-17 while returning form my duty towards home for 2 time the bike stopped, somehow managed till home, from home i took the bike to nearby bike garage by pushing ownself, he checked all the probable issue (Spark plug, carburetor fuel entry, fuse, etc) concluded that cdi unit is defective, he proved infront of me after hitting the cdi unit, bike started suddenly, gave me the cdi sample to purchase for new one, it was not available at any bajaj auto parts shop, hopelessly i went to service centre they said the product serial number is not listed in our system. Customer co-ordinator asked me to bring the bike so they can assess further, so i brought there. When i went there next day[protected] the bike was kept unattended, i insisted them to plz look after the issue, none of them were interested, so i called up mr. Abhijit, asked him for help, somehow one of the technician came he gave the trial, said ok, checked cdi too, it did work, said that there is some loose connection among wire beneth the petrol tank, they did the 3rd free servicing, asked me to give trial, found no issue, thanked them. They also replaced the kick lever.
I also assured them form next time i won't be comming to that service centre again nor will recommend my nearby people to get servicing done at sevoke road centre, nor to prefer bajaj products too.
I was hardcore fan of bajaj since childhood, my father had, bajaj vespa — bajaj pulsar 150 (2nd model - purchased in 2008 probably).
