Dear sir
I had bought a pair of white shoes for my kid - size 5 on june 11th and to my surprise the sole started coming out with a week. I went to the show room were i bought with the bill. The store manager acknowledge the defect and gave the replacement on higher rate than the one i bought.
Both the pairs look like but the price differ, i asked the store manager why should i pay the difference of the amount. Because its bata issue of supplying substandard product and should replace with no hazzle to the customer.

Need to the help to resolve it,

    Sub : complaint regarding defect with hush puppies shoes


    I am a regular customer for the past 15 years and using only hush
    Puppy verities. However to my shock and surprise i had a bitter experience with a shoe 864-4718 from your show room at
    Phoenix mall, chennai, tamil nadu.
    I purchased some times back in october, 2016 the above shoes for rs, 2499/-.in which developed a gap between upper sole and the bottom. Therefore i could not use it and approached your show room at the said address and returned 15.06.2017. The person attending my complaint insisted for receipt and and proof which i lost long back since i never expected to keep all these under the impression that hush puppy shoes are beyond the expectation and reputed company product.

    I therefore request you to attend this complaint amicably immediately with in 7 days from receipt of this mail failing which i may be constrained to proceed with under relevant provisions for the deficiency of services before the appropriate forum

    I have been wearing Bata shoes since my school days and have never had a complaint.

    But now I think the quality is not as per a 9000 Rs waterproof Hush Puppies shoe. It is rather surprising that the sole gets a hole and the rubber is cracking,

    The rest of the sole in both shoes is perfect and has not worn out and is fine but the center of the right shoe has developed a hole.
    i have written to the complaint cell they have not yet ersponded

      I have purchased bata rainy shoes on 13/06/2017 from bata shop at m. G. Road, valsad. 396001, gujarat. I have a very bad experience of customer service from them.
      Actually the size i have purchased found not suitable. I went back to shop on 16/06/2017 to replace with size no. 7 instead of 6. But the sales man asked that the size 7 is not available. I have checked the other design of shoes also but same way size 7 for any of the rainy shoes is not available.
      The shop person asked me to buy the available size of shoes. How can i buy the unwanted size of shoes. I am ready to buy the correct size but they forced me to buy unwanted item as size 7 is not available.
      They are neither providing correct size nor refunding amount.
      I have just left the shoes and bill at shop and went away.
      Very very bad experience with bata. Never buy bata products in the future.

        I am writing this letter as complaint to your product. I purchased this pair of chappals in the month of april from your shop at palladium - lower parel, mumbai. Within a short time of 2months, the chappals have become very loose and uncomfortable. The fitting of the chappals is spoiled and the other day my leg slipped out of the chappal while walking and i fell down in the middle of the street.

        I have visited the store and they have asked me to write a complaint letter to you, requesting for replacement and/or refund.

        I hope for quick response.

          I purchased article 854-6877 jalsa foot wear from bata on 18 may 2017 from aligrah railway road,

          There was a manufacturing defect in the product i. E there was a big hole in the footwear, the store manager replaced the product and gave me a new product
          And then i started using the new product, i only used it twice it started tearing off, completely unhappy with the quality of the product which they manufacture

          Just curious to know is it possible for a leather products starts tearing from the stitches in just 2 days.

          Then i registered one more complaint with the customer service and they advised me to visit the store nearby my house so i visited the jwala heri market and the ;store manager denied to help me out
          And said nothing can be done.

          Then i called the customer service again they had a word with the store manager and submitted the product testing
          The product was submitted on 3 june 2017 and i followed op with the cc numerous times either the agent who picks up the phone disconnects the phone after listening to the concern or put me on hold for a very long hold

          Some how i managed to have a word with one of the team lead named ashish tiwari he promised me a call back with the resolution within 24 hours i never recieved a call

          Also i have sent email to in-customer. [protected]@bata.com to aleast update me regarding the concern

          Then i had a word with team lead ashish verma which help me connecting with the gurgaon head office and told me that 'nothing can b e done '
          I wanted to escalate the case to the higher level but he refused saying that there is not further level he is the last contact point, and told me this is the final resolution

          And bluntly told me that there is no such department which handle
          Consumer complaints.

          Hence after spending and investing money in bata product, in return i have just wasted almost 25 days still struggling to use the product,
          It is completely an example of customer ignorance, poor quality products and poor customer service.

          Raises a question on the trust which my father and grandfather had while using the bata products since ages.
          Annoyed with the service which they gave me.

          The issue has not been resolved yet.. again so many promises made for call back and the voucher to be delevered. It more than a week after the assurance given. And more than a month the conplaint has not been taken care off .

          The tag line of bata should be "breaking promises is in our genes" we commit and we fail" this is out motto.. seriously disgusting customer services ever..
          Sole crack, in ten days . on 6-6-2017, 02048. request for refund or exchange .

            Respected sir, i bought article no.[protected]size 5 black bata comfit on 7.6.2017 from sector 17 e chandigarh, store code is 3052. Worth of rs.1902 but the product is not good n defective from upper sides of shoes. Kindly do the needful. It is for your kind information that i am regular customer of bata. I went to the bata store on 11.6.2017 but they refused to exchange with new product but to file complaint on bata website... Thanks

                    Would like to bring into your notice that I purchased a pair of ladies bellies shoes of Rs. 701 in the month of 23 Feb 2017 in the name of Shalini Nainwal from Bata showroom in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. We were told that the guarantee for any defect is 6 months but the soul cracked and got damaged in a little more than 3 months.

                    We made a call to the showroom and they are not agreeing to replace the shoes. We purchased the shoes considering that Bata is a reliable brand which ensure that quality and customer satisfaction, but now we are left with a pair of damaged shoes. Please help us in this matter and get the damaged shoes replaced.

                      I bought a pair of belle of bata from online store myntra in jan 2017. But the product didn't last 3 months. I went to one of the stores of bata in delhi, they suggested me to write to customer care regarding this problem.
                      I did the same i mailed them at first place but no solution was provided to me from their side.
                      They just provided me request id is 880083 and request id is 880102. Then i called their customer care thrice, everytime they said we will resolve in 24 hour but they did replied or resolves the matter. Worst customer care service ever.

                        I purchase sandle at dadar (West), mumbai on 26/02/2017 via article no.861-4384, rs.999/-. I buy sandle from shop no.02597. Sandle sole was cut when i was travelling.                           This complaint is regarding the shoe I purchased from the Bata store. I got it for 1500 and i was so happy about it until I wear for the first time.
                          The ballerinas bite a lot not just at the back of foot but on toe and upper portion also. I really feel being cheated as I never faced any problem of shoe biting from any ballerinas before.

                          I don't feel like wearing them again . Please take some action asap!

                            I bought a black formal shoe for 1300 rs on 23/5/17 from

                            No.74, mannarswamy koil st,
                            Royapuram,
                            Chennai 600013,

                            That was the worst ever bata shoe i have bought. I just used it 1 time and the outer layer of the shoe got wornout. I used that shoe at time of my job interview i was really embarrassed because of this wornout shoe. After that on 28/5/17 i went to that store for replacement, the customer service was really worse there. When i asked they said come after 2 days "i mean y should i cum after 2 days for my money" because manager is out of town. I was talking for more than 20 mins for replacement of this shoe. I got fed up i went 2 days later 31/5/17. There i was waiting for that manager for over 45 mins then he showed up to the store. That damn arrogant and ignorant guy was neither ready to replace nor refund. He kept on saying no replacement nor refund u can choose other footwear. I mean y would i buy footwear which i don t like or want. Its entirely there fault and they kept ignoring my claim. Then finally i had to choose a shoe which i don t even like.

                            My kind request is to take severe action on that store and especially that manager for this worst behaviour.

                            I m totally unsatisfied and disappointed of this bata service. I have been using bata footwear from my childhood, i really trusted this brand but now i hate it. You have lost a regular bata customer. If you take action against that manager and refund my money back (I have nt opened the shoe box yet which i was forced to buy) i will consider continue to buy bata products in the future.

On |dt. 21/02/2017 |which was found manufacturing defectof the right leg shoe near shole. A big cut is appear. This type of defect should not be expected from the shoe of an old company like bata india limited.

                                Bought a pair of shoe which was last pair and already looking not new like, but liked it, so bought it even on a full price!!
                                But now on asking to exchange they say it's looking used!! I don't know what to say them!! How to prove it!!
                                They even are saying I repaired it at a place!! Such is the quality of Bata shoe.. I am amused!!
                                Just a 499 Rs pair.. but I am very much upset by the behaviour

                                The shoe rubberised sole, of a new piece was of poor finish and quality... like abraded at places!!
                                Don't know why did I buy it!!

                                  I & my whole family was fan of hush pappies shoe & sandles but it is a really worst experience I have ever had from a branded company like you.

                                  I have purchased one Hush Puppies shoe worth Rs +3K/- from "Hush puppies Shoes Store, Viviana Mall, Thane west Maharashtra, India. dated 28.07.17. article number :[protected]-2016) was found defective within 30 days of the purchase.

                                  I started using this after 15days and within 2 3 days, bottom sole started cutting & shoe now feels uncomfortable and even thread of shoe started coming out.

                                  I am really fustrated and will never buy any article for this brand.

                                  My issue has been resolved, steps taken by company. 1. I register a complain on 24-May around 9 pm night and Immediately next day afternoon received a call from Bata India customer care. 2. Few min later received a email from Bata India with 100% replacement. 3. Finally went to shop and got new pair of shoes without any hassle. Note: While making complain, please describe your product like Invoice number, Article number, you email address

                                    Dear Bata,
                                    I purchased a pair of Hush Puppies Franklin sandal (Model no. [protected]) costing Rs 3499/- from your Grand Hotel Store, Kolkata on 28/06/2016 (Cash Memo no. 0001/1/23062016/00056). The product suffers from serious design flaw, quality problem and workmanship. The insole cracked within a week. I went from my place of living Durgapur (170 kms) to Kolkata to exchange the product. The store people exchanged it without listening to me that the same problem will occur. They also did not listen to my plea that I cannot come from that far again and again and that they should give me a flap (or whatever you call it) to insert the same under the insole to protect it. Again these incompetent sales people did not listen to me. Since then I have made 3 more trips to the store, after getting email from Customer Care, and returned empty handed as my foot size was not available. The sandal's insole is very comfortable, the reason I have refused to take any other model.
                                    After long email exchange and angry telephonic conversations with Customer Care (again, nobody would certify them as competent ones), I was told the company has stopped production of this model. Ideally, the company should have recalled the defective product, rectify the problem and delivered it back to the customers. Instead, the company has chosen to react in a bureaucratic and callous manner, without any regard for the customers of premium products. I just wish to mention that 3 members of our family use Hush Puppies besides other Bata brands, the 4th member being 9 years old uses all Bata brands except Hush Puppies.
                                    Now, please inform me why should not I go to consumer court to seek damage and compensation.
                                    Also, I noticed the Store people selling the remaining stock of the same model to ignorant customers, whereas, the Company should have recalled the product and rectify it.
                                    One more point: I observed that the 'imported' (I think they are imported) shoes and sandal models at the store are better in fit and finish and workmanship than all the Bata and Hush Puppies SKUs made in India. For the record, I am as patriotic as any other common Indian! But I am also a right-conscious consumer.
                                    So, please inform me why I should not warn people through social networking sites about the dishonest practices of Bata involving a premium product like Hush Puppies.

                                      I am a regular user and customer of Hush Puppies men's formal shoes. I bought a pair of Hush Puppies Men's new steward black 7-UK[protected] X000F0WHDL from Amazon online vide invoice no.MY-BOM3- [protected]- 2392381 dated 15 May 2016 (seller- Cloudtail India Pvt. Ltd.). Though it has been 1 year since purchase, but I had used it about only 15 times (or 15 days) as I was using it only as a Party wear or during important office meetings. Last week on 9 May 2017 while traveling to New Delhi for a conference I noticed that the right show has developed a 1/2" cut at joint of sole and upper-leather at left side front portion. In a week time, this cut now has become 1.5". This is a clear case of some company's side as all my previous pairs of Hush Puppies shoes had a life of 3 years or more with daily use. I request Bata India to guide me what best they can do to me without giving importance to illogical terms & condition of warranty for 6 months or 1 year because i have actually used it equivalent to 25 days.

                                      Also I am an investor in Bata India, I request the Company to do stringent quality check of every pair of Hush Puppies coming out from their works because the customer-segment for this brand is of premium class.
