Dear Sir
I am residing in Athukudi, Mayiladuthurai Taluk in Nagapattinam District, Tamilnadu.

This telephone has been used in this resident since 30 years. I have been using broadband internet since six years. For past six years though I use internet, I could not use my telephone for making calls because of Joice and howling sound. I complained to the department so many times. They said the OFC cable has been severely damaged due to so many cuts and u can use only internet but not for making calls. Besides this the telephone line will not work at least 10 days in a month. Due to all the people (nearly 55) who were using landline phone surrendered unofficially.
Now just three customers only using landline. The cable is damaged only from Kadhiramangalam to Athukudi. It's just only one kilometre. I complained to Kumbakonam SSA but of no use. Then I complained to Chennai Higher authority also went in vain. They never reply to the email. They just call and say we will rectify it soon. But no proof for their words. Now what the department feels is " shud we spent some money for just 3 connections ". They don't realise that if the department rectifies lot of people will again renew their surrendered connections and many people will apply for new connections.
The Indian Telecommunications department talks about DIGITAL INDIA, INTERNET TO THE VILLAGES. But in reality all these words looks humpback and just playing with the words just to cheat the citizens of the nation.
Hence I humbly request you to look into this issue and order the department to rectify it immediately.
