Hi,

I ordered for a wooden bunker bed on 2nd August 2011 at Bangalore- Banashankari Hometown paying Rs 2000 advance. I was told that the product will be delivered within 30 days. But after 2 weeks when i went to them just to check the status, they mentioned that they will not be able to deliver the product since it was out of stock. When i questioned them, that even at the time of paying the advance i had asked them if they are sure about product being in stock, their answer was affirmative. But they did not have an answer. So i requested them to refund my advance which they agreed to and mentioned that they will repay it in a weeks time. Now its been 4 weeks since that happened and i am yet to get my advance money back. Whenever i go there to enquire they give me silly reasons and tell me that they will call me on the status within 2-3 hours which has never happened till now. I am yet to receive my advance and am still waiting for the same.

I also see that there are many other consumers whom i got to meet when i visited the shop and have similar complaint. I see a trend here, that the hometown guys take advance without having a product from many consumers and try to return the money after a month or two. This will provide them an interest free capital/money to invest in their business. I plan to take this to consumer forum if i do not get a suitable response within the next 24 hours. I may be one of the few customers for whom the advance i have paid is a small amount, but there are many lower middle class customers who come there and get cheated by such fraudlent means by hometown futurebazar group.

Hi, My problem yet to be solved with new dates given to me by the managers in Hometown- Banashankari-Bangalore..I am getting a feeling that Bangalore Govt offices are far better in this regard.

    Hello,this is prabhakar mandal.My mobile no is [protected].Today I have gone to bigbazar outlet located at baghajatin,jadavpur,Kolkata-700047.It was told to me that if I buy garmaents above Rs-1500,there is a special offer for me.After buying a T24 sim at the cost of Rs-50,Rs 250 will be deducted from Rs-1500.Then I went for billing.I told the cashier about how to get this offer.The cashier’s name is Shyamal Baidya.He told me to go to the T24 counter after getting the bill.So I did according to his say.Bt when I went to the T24 counter,they told me that I should go there before billing.Then I went to the customer care service.I told them the whole matter elaborately.Then they called Shyamal Baidya.But he did not come.In place of him,3 executives came there.They asked me about the matter.After,so many controversies,I did not get any positive result.Not only I did not get that offer,but also I was behaved so badly.When I met Shyamal Baidya,he told me”do what u can,u will not get the offer”. I complained at the customer care service about him giving my mobile no. and e-mail id..The told me”u will get our feedback soon” .Bt I was not sure.Thats why I am sending this mail.I don’t know that any necessary steps will be taken against him or not.But I shall be highly obliged i[censored] kindly I think about this matter and take necessary steps.He has not been trained properly that’s why he behaves so badly.i don’t want my cash back.Bt I want a solution..please ..I am the full details about the billing below.

      One of my friend gave his degree certificate (BE Civil )to one of his friend, but that guy scanned that certificate and made another fake certificate on his name ( he is diploma passed only), and gave back the original certificate to my friend and he uses this fake certificate for seeking jobs. I want to take an action against this guy, so what can I do?

        My complaint is very valid and If I dont get an approriate response and action against whom I am complaining I will sue entire Big bazar-Sahara mall Gurgaon.

        Incident happened yesterday and I am still in trauma coz its not going from my mind.
        I went to Big Bazar to shop for my husband as it was his birthday next day,I couldnt find anything and saw men cosmetics would be a good idea so took help from the sales personels to make shaving kit with branded accessories.

        Those people helped me and put several items around 11 items in the kit while giving the razor he said first you need to bill,i said i have to purchase more so he said first you bill for these items then you can shop more,so he took me to a counter and got the 11 items billed which was around Rs.1600.

        After billing i again went and saw many things around some i liked and some not I had to get more things ,i picked one toothbrush,one tooth paste,and one soap ,after which I went to the other section and completely lost and forgot that i had not billed other small 3 items which was worth 250rs.... Everything was in the same shopping bag billed and unbilled both with the bill in my hand.
        It was getting darker so i decided to go home and when at the security I gave my shopping bag and bill for checking very confidently he took my bag and threw all the items and started checking as if i am a thief to my utter amazement 3 small things were not billed and there 11 items which were billed ,he treated me like a criminal It is possible that second time i forgot to bill these 3 small things when I saw that 3 items were not billed I said to get them billed right away as sales man confused me by making me do the billing in between my shopping...But he slapped me and shouted and insulted me infront of everyone and said she was stealing though i was having bill of 1600rs..He took me in a room with a help of lady guard where they harassed me more and threatened me of police.I am from a very decent family with rich class.Im a regular customer of big bazar and shop for almost[protected]rs every month with proper bill which I would like to submit as a proof that I am from a rich class with affluent characteristics and i am not a bloody theif.
        It was just an incident that tooth brush and paste and soap wasnt billed and it wasnt a crime any human can forgot it as it was the last shopping before i saw other sections where i was lost.

        He could have get it billed as they got it billed earlier while I was shopping...It was there planning to harass me and loot me....After they took me insisde the room everyone shouted and insulted me that lady guard snatched my purse and started taking out my personal things when she coulnt get anything from my purse she took out my money and said its the penalty.For Rs250 they took almost Rs3000 to Rs.4000 from my purse which was in cash other than the debit card having 9 lack credit balance.
        They threatened me and made me sign some paper with my thumb print like a bloody criminal..

        Since I was alone and weraing gold jewelery and my purse was with money they misbehaved and looted me.I am in a trauma its not giong from my mind the kind of treatment I got from there....I want justice.I want these people to be put behind the bars as soon as possible and If i will not get the justice I will make a legal police case against Big bazar and publish my harassment in media. From victimised customer..

        Its too damn shocking, how could they behave to a customer like this???
        Ma'am please file a complaint and just go on to any extent to sue them up. They might come up with compromise or settlement amounts. But that can never erase this incident from your mind. They have to pay for this

          Please refer to the Advance Receipt No: [protected] dt. 28/08/2011. On this date, I had booked a dinning table from Home Town, Rajarhat for Rs. 24999 by paying advance payment of 25%. The delivery date of 01/09/2011 was given to me against the same. At the time of booking, I was given assurance that if there is any product defect in the only single piece available at your Dankuni godown, I can easily cancel my order as I was not ready for wait for one month for the product to be arrived from their Mumbai HO. During the initial few days I have not received any feedback from Home Town whether the product is ready for the delivery even after calling repeatedly. Later I was informed that there is a product defect in the available single piece and requested me to wait for one week as the same dinning table is already in transit for Mumbai for which I agreed too.

          On dated 10/09/2011, I received call from Home Town Rajarhat that the product has arrived and requested me to make the balance 75% payment which I made on the same date. Now on 12/09/2011, I received two call from your Dunlop Home Town Godown that they are coming to deliver the dinning table and requested me to be present at home but nobody arrived on the date and non on the next date. On the very next date, when I called home town to check the status, I was given reply that the product is not available currently and I have to wait for another one month. First of all, I would like to ask what kind of customer service is this ?????????? At one time your people are telling that product is available and requesting me to make the balance payment. Moreover I am receiving two calls stating that the perform are arriving for delivery. On the very next date, I am getting reply that the product is not available. I am very surprise to see how a big company like you can have such pathetic customer support.

          Now I visited Home Town on dated 14/09/2011 and talked to your Sale Person named Mr. Sarbajit Dutta (Ph: [protected]) who requested me to wait one more day as he would look personally try to locate the missing dinning table parts at your Dunlop Godown and would give me the status report by next day otherwise I can cancel the order and get my refund back. Now i am very surpise to see that even your this sale executive did not get back to me.

          I have got tried of calling repetitively to your home town, rajarhat team. I can not wait even for one more days for the dinning table to arrive. I therefore request you to cancel my order and arrange my refund. The promise delivery date was 1st Sept and now it is 15th Sept. it is not possible for me to wait more as I have clearly mentioned at the time of booking that I need this dinning table on urgent basis.

          Dear Priya,

          Instead of checking the customer complain at customercomplaints.in, you people should have a complain lodging system and should check the email id which you provide for customer to lodge the complain.

          1) First of all, the common email id for customer complain i.e., email id [protected]@home-solutions.co.in does not work.

          2) Secondly, i was told by Home Town, Kolkata to send an email at ht.[protected]@futuregroup.in requesting for refund after that they would process my refund cheque. Now they guys are deliberately ignoring my emails. Over phone enquery, they have confirm the receipt of my email but not providing me the status of product delivery or my refund.

          THIS IS WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU COMPANY IS PROVIDING ???????

          And you here now checking out the customer complain at various forum and promising to provide the solution. Instead this, you company should have internal quality control which you do not have at all.

          On this date I had booked 3 Items of which one was Vanity Basin with store. The sales representative informed me that the product was not available with them and will take 15 days to come from their Nagpur branch, I was agreed and accepted the delivery on 23/8/12.



          By 22/8/12 I have received remaining goods but not the above said Item. I have not got any clarification from Home Town until I called them to know the reason. They have informed me that the goods were damaged while in transit and it will take another 10 to 15 days to get the new one.



          In this situation I can only wait for some more days if the concerne department send me written (or through mail) confirmation that my goods will be delivered on or before a particular date else I wand refund of the full amount because of the following terms written behind the payment receipt of yours:-



          Point 24: In case the customer fails to take the Delivery of the Product so within 15 days from the due date of delivery. Then the Order shall be deemed to be cancelled and money paid by the Customer shall stand forfited.
          Please refer to the Advance Receipt No: [protected] dt. 10/07/2016.

          On this date I had booked 2 Items Two seater sofa and cetre table of Rs38200 . The sales representative Mr Vipin ([protected]) informed me that the product was not available with them and will take 10 days to come from their Nagpur branch, I was agreed and accepted the delivery on 20/7/16.

          By 15/7/16 I have received a call from vipin that the product will not be available on 20/07/2016 and it will be available on 07.08.2016.now i have made the full payment of item Rs 38200 through bajaj finance and i have to pay my first EMI on 05.08.2016.On 28.07.2016 i received a call from hometown that the sofa is now available at pune and will be delivered on same day.but nobody came.to check the same i called vipin and he said that you have to pay delivery charges @800 Rs while the order was booked at free delivery cost.

          Now vipin is saying that he will delivered the goods on 03.08.2016 on foc.I cannot track my order any where.
          You people have the worst service and totally false commitment at all.

            I am a regular customer of Big Bazaar, Great India Place, Noida. I used
            to buy my household items including groceries and cloth from Big Bazaar,
            GIP, Noida.

            I regret to inform that of late the Big Bazaar, GIP, Noida, has started
            charging extra money from the customers towards carry bags (Poly bags) in
            which the items/articles are packed by the shop. I do not find any
            justification of charging extra money from the customers for carry bags,
            as you will of course appreciate, it is the moral and ethical duty of the
            shopowner/shop keeper to pack the articles at free of cost. Of course,
            you can limit the number of carry bags, but charging extra money is not
            at all justified. Al most all the customers of Big Bazaar are having the
            same view as expressed by me here.

            I, therefore, urge the Big Bazaar Management to please reconsider this
            unjustified and un-customer friendly decision and issue appropriate
            instruction to your people at the GIP Noida outlet not to charge any extra
            money for carry bags(Poly bags) immediately.

              Hello,
              I have purchased furniture from Big Bazar-pune-Kothrud branch.
              I am really frustrated because of the service big bazar is providing. I have purchased these things from big bazar;

              2 three seater sofa
              2 single seater sofa
              1 king bed + 1 side table
              1 center table

              I have called big bazar many times to fix the lazer fitting of center table but they only giving me reason like;
              1. They are busy because of 15th aug season then ganpati season
              2. They don’t have laser fitting available

              Now, it’s almost 2 months i have logged a complaint and they are not replying. I am wasting my money to call them many times and every time new person is picking up the phone.

              Same happened with Sofa, sofa's legs are broken and that is not is use and for the second sofa something is broken in the middle of the sofa.

              This is really not a good service and i don't know how they are dealing with other costumers.

              Please take some disciplinary action so that my issues get resolved.

                Dear Friends - I am regular visitor to Big Bazaar shopping center. Recently I am experiencing big bazaar staff is misbehaving with customers. They are employing rural youngsters (may be at lower salaries) and these guys indulge in staring and young girls making unnecessary jokes and comments. This is irritating parents like us. Apart from this, the cold stored items are emanating bad smell and unusable. The prices of all commodity are higher compared to other places. Please read my recent experience.

                I had 5 bad experiences in the past at Big Bazar -while buying a Mixer (Black&Hammer-Dewalt), while buying cloths, while making enquiry for Samsung Galaxy to SII ( the price is higher than what you get outside Big Bazar.

                About two weeks back (August 2011)my family and my neighbors went for shopping at Big Bazar. We bought some few dresses, utensils, school items for kids. It was very hot and I told kids to buy some Flavored Milk to drink. The guy in the counter said - you pay the amount for the soft drink and later use it. We did so. But when we opened the cap of the milk bottle we found a pungent smell and lot of foam formed on top of the liquid content. We said we cannot use it and the matter went up to the manager. The manager by name Muthu came and said there is no problem - you can use it. I said no - we are buying them regularly from Nandini Milk vending booths in Bangalore and the item bought in Big Bazaar is not good. Then the manager went wild and started making mockery of me. ( usually I do not eat Ice creams& cakes-but my kids and wife do). I told him my kids are regular users of these things and they can make out what is good and what is bad. Hearing me telling this " I am not used to these stuff" - THE MANAGER STARTED SHOUTING LOUDLY AND ADDRESSING THE WHOLE GATHERING Saying " SEE HE NEVER EAT ICE CREAMS AND MILK SHAKES HA HA HA". He started throwing the bottle at me. He said "if you don't want to use it then leave it and go". I asked him to refund Rs.45/- I paid for the drinks. He vanished from the seen with a weird stare at me. And also instructed the cashier no to refund. But the cashier was a good person and told me. Don't worry sir I will refund the amount and did so. Funny thing is even security fellows also join the arguments and create a big seen.

                My advice to dear Parents and Friends - there are lot of good places to venture out for shopping. But think twice before going into Big Bazar.

                    This futuregroup really lives in extreme future i am still waiting for a dining chair purchased 6 days ago.Story is same bunch of liers who never give you correct response and pushes it to another day , they even has the guts to say its transport strike !!!!

                      This is in repeated visits and interaction of the Staff members at Big Bazaar, The apprentice staff that they call promoters, the employed staff and shockingly the HR and DM's have no respect towards the customers they enjoy fooling around with the customers, disrespecting them and inspite of bringing misconduct to their notice they simply ignore it.

                      What kind of retail is it??

                        This is to bring to your notice that,i had bought a neelkamal cabinet from big bazaar at bangalore,old madras road outlet,i would like share my extreemly dispoitning experience with them, they had home deliver the neel kamal cabinet at home on[protected],vide cash memo noT55/989.same got delivered having no luck provided for the said cabinet,

                        After visiting to them again after 7 days ,why am i not been provided the key, they started convincing me that, i can buy a key by myself have it preapared myself,after few argument they promised me someone should visit to my place to do the needful,

                        trust me , this was a false commitment given while i have product having no key, i could not lock it, i find i have spent 6k to buy product having no use now.

                        please give me a justice, nothing more want some one to visit my place to replace the lock , so i can have a luck for the same.

                          Hi BizBazar manger,

                          We have been to BizBazgar At belgaum , and we lost arround 1500 Rs , then when we see the recorede Camera it Cearly shows that the money is stolen by and Biz Bazgar Employee.

                          The Duty Manger and all other office saw the vedio , and hence teh duty manger convience us that the action will be taken , and he will call us witin 2 days and return our money .

                          But till date no action and i have heard nothing from teh duty manger.

                          The Duty Mnager Name is : Domale.

                          This Inceident happend on 30th of AUgust 2011 at 12,30 Pm.

                              I booked a Laptop Model ACER EMD729Z on 14 Aug 2011 at GIP NOIDA outlet after making full payment of Rs 19991/- vide Cash memo No. T/30/11523 and was given a delivery Challan bearing No. 1724. I was assured That the Machine would be delivered to me by 20 Aug 2011. However despite repeated Phone calls and personal visits, the machine has not been delivered till date.On my last conversation with Shri Pushpraj Giri ([protected]) I was told that the status of my booking can be known only on 07 Sep 2011.

                                It is very unfortunate to intimate that Furniture purchased on 15th Aug,2011 from Big Bazar,Sealdah, Kolkata under promise to deliver within a week has not yet materialised.Even there is no sight of delivery even now.

                                Self desided to go for full bedding set purchase vide Receipt No.0017992 & 0017993 Dated 15 Aug,2011 ( two sets of double bed,side table,ward robe & one Diwan set) costing Appx. 49000/-. Even self made other house hold marketing from your branch of equal amount within this 15 days.

                                Inspite of all that self has to manage without bedding as i am new to area on posting and planned to purchase all new instead of transporting. I suppose you can realise my pethatic condition and do the best possible to supply items within 48 hrs from now.

                                  I , on behalf of our NGO, Hope India, had booked two AC of KORYO brand with Big Bazaar in May 2011 and paid a sum of Rs.25980/- by cheque no. 282940 dtd 15.5.2011 vide receipt no. 1114 of big bazaar vashi. I was assured that as soon as the chq gets cleared, we will get delivery of both AC in our office of NGO with installation. But after one week, when we called Big bazaar, we got the info that the sales exec who booked it had gone on leave and he only can tell it after a fortnight. Since we were to go on holidaying from 23rd MAy for abt a month, we asked the person to deliver the same as we return. After returning, we called to enquire abt deliver and we were told by the sales exec that he will find the availability in the godown and will call us. but he didnt call. we enquire again & visited the store but the sales man was not avialable and others showed helpless as it was out of stock and promised only to pass the message. Nothing happened for ab a month, our NGO bought another AC from other store and asked sales exec to deliver other capacity of AC if it was not available, to which he promised to revert with availability but asked to waut till their promo event of anniversary for better deal. He did not call and on visiting, he said no scheme has come so to wait till august for 15th aug dhamaka sale. Again no scheme came and since it was prolonged, we asked him to cancel and refund our money with interest. we met and discussed his manager in the stire who agreed to refund the ful amount of 25980/- without interest. He promised to return within one week but till now his promises are flaunted thrice and finally, last Monday he promise to refund on Wednesday, but on wed he called to inform that he will pay cash on sat i.e. today. But while on the way to store today. He sent message that his boss refused to refund in cash since it was cheque. The same thing I had clarified and confirmed from him on wed wjen he alled to promise for cash but he confirmd that he will pay cash and wil not return us without refund.
                                  These people take customers for granted and make them fool with false promises and then refuse shamelessly - THOOK KE CHAT JAATE HAI -
                                  If this the kind of treatment they give to people like us and NGO, then one can understand wat they do with common man. I want not only my refund but also a punishment to such irresponsible and exploiters. I will send this to media and expose such menace who take public for ransom.
                                  Through this forum, I request the consumer protection authorities to treat my this mail as my official complaint and take action against big bazar and ensure not only refund of my payment but also a sum of Rs. 2 Lakhs as penalty towards harrasment and expenses and cost of my time and effort to highlight this issue and bring justice to public.

                                  BIG BAZAAR — Non Refund of Money

                                  Dear,

                                  I am writing you here because of very unsatisfactory and rude response from Big Bazar (Riverside, Lucknow).

                                  There is a case of double swapping of Rs.1, 025/- dated on 2nd of May 2009, in the same regard when I contacted to customer care of Big Bazar (Riverside, Lucknow) they asked me to come again after few days. When I went back there they people again asked me to come after few days the reason which was given by them that the concern person is very busy so you can’t meet him today. Infect that day he noted down few details of the transaction. After 3 days I went back their again but the response was same. I asked him to call the concern person but that gentleman told that you can’t meet him you have to give all details to me. I told him that I already given all details to another person but he said he is on leave 2day so you have to give all the details again. I gave him all the details and after that response was same “come after 3-4 days.”

                                  When I went back again the person told me to wait for 10 minutes. I waited for more then 40 minutes on the customer service desk but nobody came. When I gave my intro to that gentleman, he called some one from account department. The person came down and I was surprised that he was totally not aware with my case. I told him again the whole story. He gave me a letter and asked me to give this to the Branch Manager of my Bank. I told him that my account is not in Lucknow branch, it is with fatehgarh branch which is almost 300km away from lucknow, but he told that this is the only way.

                                  I went to Bank of India (Fatehgarh Branch) and show the letter to branch manager. He himself start findings the details regarding the transaction. After checking all the accounts he said that the money is credited in Big Bazar account and there in no return form their Big Bazar side. He gave me the letter dated on 18/06/09 in the same regard with transaction details in which the transaction code is also mentioned.

                                  I came back and gave that letter to Big Bazar (Riverside, Lucknow) and they people start doing the same act again “come after 3-4 days”.

                                  Still there is no revert from their end. So I am requesting you to please look in to this matter because its more then 2 months and there is no result. Plz guide me what should i do.

                                  BIG BAZAAR — Return of money

                                  This is in context to Cash Memo No.T15/54332, Dated 23/02/2011, Time12:30:23, Cash :Sumaun. I had purchased items of Rs.1374 , where I paid the cashier two no.s of Rs.1000, where he returned me one Rs.100, one Rs.20, five 1 Re coins & one milkybar chocolate.

                                  I remember he had asked the person beside him to give him a change of thousand bug, but in the meanwhile as I was in a hurry & a T24 representative came hopping to me to convince for the same, where I got distracted & forgot to take the Rs.500 more in return.

                                  Thereafter, I went to the customer care desk today and spoke to Miss Namrata, whom I told the story. She tried to query from all sources and reported me at last that the cashier who was dealing me yesterday is absent , , the accounts department said there is a shortfall of Rs. 40 for the same date and the cash transaction cannot be visible in the CCTV.

                                  Now my point is that I am a regular client of Big Baazar where each & every commodity is purchased from your store. This type of mistake from my end has happened for the first time & I had expected the cashier to be very loyal, but my expectation was all wrong. there are many people who don't even bother to count back the money returned, as they also have similar good faith as I had.

                                  My request to you is to investigate the matter and do the needful for the same.

                                    we had purchased one Double bed from Big Bazzar on 10/08/2011. They assured us that delivery will be done by 22nd August, 2011. When we called them on 22nd the person from there assured us that it will be deliverd within 2 days, after 2 days they call us & say it wont get delivered by 31st August, 2011 as the Bed needs to come from Mumbai. till today we havent received it & when we contacted them again todat they said that it will surely be delivered by sunday or monday.

                                    The atitude of their staff is very Bad & they dont have valid reasons for delay. Eveytime when you call them they give some or the other funny reasons which no one can found logical. Their management is very poor.

                                    the behaviour from suach a good & reputed company is astonishing & shamefull. it feels like we have been cheated that even after paying the full amount we are not in possession of goods,

                                    if any of the Big Bazar person is reading this please look that i will be waiting for the godds uto this monday only & afterwards i will be lodging consumer complaint for fraud & cheating which as a lawyer i must do it.

                                        Hi this is Saswati Ghosh, and I have been purchasing things from Bigbazar of rather any future group outlet from a very long time.
                                        I had been quite satisfied with the customer service they provide.

                                        Incident which i faced yesterday is UNACCEPTABLE and UNAVOIDABLE.

                                        I went for shopping to FASHION BAZAR outlet at Mani square, Kolkata.
                                        And as i was searching for a particular size of T shirt which was unavailable, there was a representative standing next to us
                                        who is SUPPOSED to HELP CUSTOMERS. But out of the blue he started shouting at us in a commanding tone asking us not to touch
                                        the T shirts as HE ARRANGED THEM a while back, We requested him to pull out the T shirt that was required by us and asked asked him
                                        to talk politely. But instead of feeling sorry for his misbehaviour, the representative started shouting in front of other public insulting us
                                        saying we were messing up the T shirts using abusive languages.
                                        The manager there came running and took him away from the spot.

                                        This kind o[censored]NPROFFESSIONAL, RUDE, NASTY, CHEAP behaviour is not expected from a sales person, Who is SUPPOSEDLY to be helping out customers
                                        at the store. I was earlier located in Bangalore and moved to Kolkata recently. But I definitely need to complain about the service
                                        of all the future group outlets SPECIFICALLY in KOLKATA. They are really not upto the mark, infact very rude.
                                        Being a customer I had a terrible experience Yesterday at Fashion Bazar.
                                        I would definitely suggest my friends and family not to visit again if no action is taken against such a nasty behaviour.


                                        WE BEING CUSTOMERS CAN NEVER EXPECT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES TO BE USING ABUSIVE AND FILTHY LANGUAGES AT ANY COST.
                                        THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.


                                        I am happy to say that this kind o[censored]NPROFFESSIONALISM NEVER HAPPENED in any of the stores in Bangalore or Delhi where I have
                                        visited earlier.
