I booked a modular kitchen set from Collection-I in Kolkata (the one in Bhawanipur).


Here is how the entire process went:

1. In mid-November I paid the first 50% of the amount by cheque and there was a overwriting on it(the cheque). I asked them multiple times whether this should be a problem, but the oversmart sales guy at the payment counter "assured" us that they are handling cheques every now and then and this is not as issue at all. The checqe bounced. I had to write them a fresh cheque and then in December they said that there will be a bit of delay in transferring the goods over to my place. A "slight" schedule variance of 3 weeks.

2. Once the goods arrived at their warehouse, I paid them the rest of the amount and after another week they delivered the goods. THis was in mid-january.

3. 2-3 days after this the carpenter came and reported that several of the items were missing. When I contacted Collection-I they said it will take them another month to deliver the rest of the items.

4. FInally they delivered the funished products after 3.5 months of making the initial mayment.

5. They sent few people to my house for taking measurement, when they brought in the finished product, it was obvious that they had "forge=otten" to account for the chimney.

6. After I received the goods, within a period of 1 month, the wooden slapbs (which were pasted to the stone) fell off.


PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS. They are absulotely pathetic when it comes to customer service and internal communication.

    I went for Shopping to Bigbazaar on 25th April.An employee of big bazaar who was at counter and was suppose to process a bigbazaar card for us,misbehaved with me .His name was Gaurav Mohapatra and his employee id is 44529 ,which he gave with audacity to lodge a complain against him .The reason of the issue was that ,he was delaying the process by talking with another salesperson .And on asking him to hurry ,he shouted back at the counter itself on a lady employee and finally throwed the card and the bill on the lady employee .When we said that we would race a complain and asked for his name ,he shouted back again and gave his name and employee id .This kind of customer service is never expected from future group of companies .I really need to know whether any kind of action can be taken for him .

      Dear Sir/Madam,

      Yesterday (on[protected] I visited big bazaar, Kandivali (East). I have purchased some items vide transaction no.13704. At the exit door one of the big bazaar staff told me, “there is some offer for you” and introduced the other person for explain the offer.

      The offer is the Accident Insurance policy of Future Generali Insurance for one year and the yearly premium is Rs. 199/-. I heard all the features which he explained in one minute.

      Now the unlike things started, I simply told them thanks I don't want to buy this Accident insurance cover the person who is selling this policy start arguing and try to sell the policy forcefully. He started the unwanted communication.
      • Kya Problem hai is main (What is the problem in this policy),
      • Kitna Insurance hai aap ka.

      I told him I am the LIC agent and I have my sufficient life cover and I don't want to take this policy.
      Again he started the conversation,
      • Kitna premium lagta hai (How much premium I am paying)
      • Aise product LIC ke pass nahi hai (Such product is not with LIC).

      I simply moved from that desk as a matured person and avoid communication with them.
      After that several question came to my mind:

      1) Such big Mall (Big Bazaar) hurt the feeling of the people by offering the unwanted scheme.
      2) They introduced such unprofessional people who don’t know the good selling skills
      3) The scheme/offer is pay extra and force to buy the unwanted product?
      4) What is the cost of the unlike conversation had and feel unpleasant situation at the premises of Big Bazaar.

      I would like to say this is not complaint, but requesting Big Bazaar does not provide such offer/ Scheme that force us to stay away from unpleasant purchase place.

        Hi

        This is to get into your notice that the famous Future Group is following unethical hiring practices, my son is working here for the past 2 years through a consultancy called Shambhu Gupta & Company in Mumbai, he signs on a cheque of 40k per month and gets in hand 15k, after he escalated the matter to the Future Group HR they did try to retain him from the consultant but don't know what happened after that.

        Even after working with them for 2 years he does nt have any PF, Insurance and other employee benefits, is here like a bonded labor, cannot believe this is the famous company of Mr Kishore Biyani, and don't know why is he encouraging these unethical practices, can someone get this to his notice and help us.

          Dear Sir/ madam, I Anis Ahmed Khan had purchased three shirts on 28th Feb-11 from Thane (Ghodbunder Road) Big Bazar, During the time of payment, I gave my ICICI Debit Card but the lady at the bill counter said that this card is showing error, then i gave my SBI debit card and the amount got deducted from SBI account, for which i got the reciept also. But after some times i got message in my mobile that amount has been deducted from ICICI account also (ICICI debit card no. is [protected]), i confirmed from the bank and , then next day i went to Thane Big Bazar and I was told that i will get the amount very soon by ASHVINI MAHADIK. Ashvini mahadik sent a mail to Mr. Vijay palkar on 4th march-11, (An executive from ICICI) regarding the twice debited and she forwarded a mail to me and promised me that since it is a debit card, it will take 20 days to come in your account. After 15 days i called Mr. Vijay Palkar regarding the status of my money, he said that i have not recieved any mail from Big Bazar, then again I called up ASHVINI MAHADIK, she said that I was not aware that he has changed his email ID, then she again frowarded the mail to him on 16th march-11 at ashish.[protected]@exticici.com and forwarded the same mail to me. Now till today on 2nd April I did not got my money and when i called ASHVINI, she said "now i can not do any thing , you have to coordinate with ICICI bank, And it was not our fault, problem was with your debit card.Any how I have already done my work" Also she is not ready to give her seniors contact no. or name. She is telling that seniors name and contact no. is confidential
          Apart from this i tried to call Mr. Vijay Palkar, he doesnt picks my mobile now, Pls. do help me.

            I had very sorry experience securing the delivery of Asian tiles. Being a novice I did not realise that the tiles are not stocked on site. I had first purchased 13 boxes of Regal Silver on 22 March 2011, and realised that it would be home delivered on 26 March, which it did. My plumber started work the following day, but told me to purchase 3 more boxes. I paid the money for 3 boxes on 29th March and the delivery date on the receipt was today ie 2 April. This 'gap' was because apparently the main stockist of these Asian Tiles have run out of stock. I had kept in touch with both of them and was told that the truck has arrived, but labours did not turn up. Today I was told that the stockist has received the tiles but due to shortage of labour it cannot be shifted or something to that order. It will reach Hometown only by late evening of Monday 4th March. All this translates into our misery of putting up with half built bathroom. The floor representatives are very polite and helpful but the delivery mechanism in absolutely disgusting, putting it mildly. Such shabby service, after taking the money, is not acceptable in these day and age and we ought to develop a mechanism of customer compensation should the vendor fail to deliver within the stipulated date.

                Please find below details of Complaint sent to Big Bizar. However, we are not receiving any response. Could you please publish / take up accordingly.

                Cheating / Double charging by staff at Big Bazar – Malad Station branch.


                I purchased 3 Atlantis chairs from Big Bazar on 02 March 2011 for a total value of Rs. 3037.3 (Rupees Three Thousand thirty seven and paise thirty only)

                The bill details are as follows. A copy of the bill is also attached for your ready reference.

                (Till No. 11, Receipt No. 0010640, St: 4717, Ch: 50276, Tr: 57826, Date : 02 March 2011, Time : 22:19)

                I made the payment of Rs. 3037.3 through my Axis Bank Debit Card (last 4 digits xxx7723). However, the cashier claimed that the card was invalid / rejected / insufficient balance in the account and requested me to pay by cash or provide an alternate card.

                I strongly objected informing that my card was valid and there were sufficient funds in my account. However, the cashier insisted that the payment could not be made and I should provide an alternate mode of payment.

                I was exhausted from standing in the long queue and the store was past its closing time of 10 p.m. I therefore provided my alternate Citibank Debit card (last 4 digits xxx8206) for which the payment was successful. You may verify all this from your CCTV camera which would have recorded all this.

                Today, to my utmost shock, I have just checked my bank statements and found out that the amount of Rs. 3037.3 towards payment to Big Bazar on 02 March 2011 has been deducted from both my Axis Bank as well as my Citibank Debit cards.
                (A copy of both the bank statements are attached for your ready reference).

                This is a deliberate attempt of Cheating / Double charging by the staff at Big Bazar. I have received no information indicating that there has been an error on their part nor has there been any attempt by Big Bazar to refund the excess amount double charged to me.

                I request you to look into this matter and take action immediately.
                I shudder to think of the loss that I would have incurred had I not checked my bank statements and feel sorry for the other gullible customers who have been similarly duped and who are not even aware of it till today.

                Kindly refund the excess amount of Rs. 3037.3 double charged to me along with interest / compensation for inconvenience and harrasement caused.

                  i am very disappointed with the big bazaar produts .there is no quality for their products .i bought a bedroomset from bigbazaar during their mahabacchat offer in 2009.the day my misfortunes started .bed roken within one week and it started to get loosen from all parts .we couldnt sit on the bed.metal bed also in the same condition .we r using it as a guest bed but cannot b slept on it .we have spend enough money on these things .if we have bought a wooden cot it could have been used for years.we only used it for 2 years and its broken all the time .please help.

                    I had purchased furniture (dining table and chairs) from Big Bazaar. However within three months the legs of the chairs started coming off, and anyone who sat on the chair inevitably started falling down on the floor, as the chairs could not hold the weight of the person sitting on them.
                    I asked Big Bazaar to repair/replace the same, as the same was within the guarantee period. After following up with them for about two months with them, they came to repair the same. Though the product was within the guarantee period, Big Bazaar guy refused to change the product and welded the legs of the chair together, for which we had to pay the welder and the fitter sent by Big Bazaar. The same was again back to square one, within a few months.
                    This time on reporting the issue to the Big Bazaar store guy, he said that we should wait for ten days, because he was busy and he could not take our request for the same and he asked me to call after fifteen days. On calling him up again, after ten days, he sent over two guys, who inspected the chairs, and said to us that they will have to report the same to the office and will come back within two days or so. They did not come back for three weeks after that, and even attempts to contact them turned futile. Finally, this person could be reached, when he again asks me to wait for another week, because he is busy and cannot take this request. Am I supposed to sit on the floor and eat for months because Big Bazaar people does not have the time to take requests to rectify the defective items they sold.
                    I realise that I made a mistake buying from Big Bazaar, and I will never make the same mistake again, begging, pleading, nothing seems to help. But since a mistake has already been made from my side, I would be thankful if this product is rectified. I do not think I will ever recommend anyone to buy from Big Bazaar. If only I knew this is how I would be treated by Big Bazaar, after the purchase was completed, I would never ever have bought anything from them.
                    It is a shame that in our country, such people get away by selling such items, and we run from pillar to post to get value for something close to what we paid for. I am attaching a picture for one of the chairs, (four chairs out of the six bought share the same fate as of date, and the other two chairs stand ).
                    I have been able to use these chairs for about four months, and in one and a half years, these chairs have been used for ten days maximum, and this is the fate this chair has. We were scared to even sit on these chairs, for fear they will collapse.
                    Anything less than a refund, will be nothing less than a cold blooded dacoity in broad daylight.

                    BIG BAZAAR — furnituer not assembelled even after a week

                    We have purchased the 3 door wardrobe from furniture baazar kalyan metro junction mall
                    we got the delivery after a week , now the delivery has been done after 7 days , the new problem is that they are unable to arrange the assembling guy for installation. even after long folloups we are getting false commitments,

                    BIG BAZAAR — not delivered my items and they are not treating customer correctly

                    I have purchased refrigerator and washing machine in big bazzar show room in mysore by paying full amount. Sales persons and sales manager (chandra kumar , naveen kumar, kishore ) took full amount and delivery date mentioned on 2nd of feb 2011.
                    But i have not recieved any items delivered to my home on specified date . later once i call them , they have told to me that , it will be dalayed for few more days and they have promised me that , they will deliver all items on satuday(feb 05 2011) , but later they did not delivered . when i contacted them on sunday , they just cut my phone and i tried many hours and they did not receive my phone at all for few hours , i was continoulsy calling them . later i contacted land line number of big baazar and one person took phone and he gave some wrong number saying he is store manager .
                    still i have not yet recivved my refrigerator and washing machine ( i paid 22k ) , i don;t know what to do now .
                    based my experince , biz baazar is not good store to buy any items , please please don't buy any items they are not customer oriented store , not responisble store according to me.
                    still iam waiting for my items to deliver from big baazar and i don't know when i will get that.

                      I Had placed an order for HP Laptop G42 on 13 th March 2011 through Ezone (Future Bazaar). I was assured that any order made on or before 13th of March 2011 would be given HP Laptop accessories worth Rs.3,500 free under the offer.

                      The product got delivered on 19th March 2011. Having contacted the customer care department of HP, was informed that the claim had to be made before 15th March 2011.

                      How could I claim for the accessories when I myself received the product on 19th March 2011. To this the customer care department executive Renuka ("renuka" <[protected]@solutions-intg.com>)clearly denied the offer without any further logical explanation. On continuously requesting her to escalate the matter to the higher authorities, she showed her inabilities in doing so.

                      Having contacted the Future Bazaar and HP customer support teams time and again, still have not got any resolution to the problem.

                      The order number [protected] for the "HP G42 Laptop" was placed online on 13.03.2011 and as per the 7 days delivery Guarantee offer the product was delivered at your shipping address on 19.03.2011.

                      As discussed, I understand that you have directly coordinated with the brand to avail the offer and your request has been denied by them. Hence as a special gesture I am forwarding your details to the brand from my end to reconsider your request.

                        I booked an order through www.futurebazaar.com on 11th March 2011 for Philips Sandwitch Toaster, Whirlpool 20G 20 Ltr. Microwave Oven, Dell Inspiron Chelsea MV Laptop (Order Number: [protected]). I have received Philips Toaster on 16th March 2011 but the other two products are not delivered as yet to me. When I ordered these products from their website, these both products were listed there and you can see these products on their website today as well and you will not be able to see anywehere that these products are out of stock. Whenever I try to communicate with their customer care team, they say that these products are not available in the nearby warehouse and they always tell the same thing that they are arranging for the products but there is no progress at all for three days now. First thing is that if the product is not available in their warehouse, they should not boast for the same. Secondly if they commit they should deliver it.

                        I complained regarding the same to their customer care team three times now, with a requirement that I need these products before 21st Mar 2011 2:00 P.M. IST. Of which one of the complaint reference number is : 721094

                        They also boast about seven day delivery guarantee and that is not happening as well. As I have booked this product on 11th March 2011 and made the payment for the same on the same day. According to this the product should have reached me by 18th March 2011 or at least they should tell when they are going to deliver it. I have also mailed on their [protected]@futurebazaar.com, their representative said in mail that he cannot tell the delivery date to me for the products.

                        Can you please help in this regard.

                        I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you regarding the delay in delivery of the ordered products " Whirlpool 20 G 20 Liters Grill Microwave " and " Dell Inspiron Chelsea MV Laptop " under the said order.

                        I confirm that the said products are dispatched to the customers from the warehouse located near to there location to avoid any damaged to the product while in transit. I regret to mentioned that the products were not readily available at our warehouse located near to your location hence there was a delay. I have also tried contacting you regarding the same however were unable to get in touch with you.

                            we bought furniture and some electronics from hometown noida for rs.54000 last year in may and ever since we have been complaining them for repairs on the sofa cum bed. initially they did come for couple of times but still they have not turned up after repeated calls.

                            We are extremely upset with the kind of services that has been rendered to us and would like to take legal action again them pls assist how can make our claims registered with indian legal system and get relief from the torture of this giant.

                            My name is Chhavi Kishore Sukhla, I purchased a laptop from your store ie from TGIP Sector 18 Noida on 8th may 2011 & onthe same day an representative name Mr Raj from reliance offered me a scheme for an data card .The scheme & Mr Raj convienced me to buy the data card.Raj told me that i ll be getting an speed of 3.1 mbps, after confirming him for the same for n number of time he gave me on written that Sir i commit you that you will be getting the same speed & you can download a movie in 20 mins. So i purchased it when he committed me . Let me tell you that nw RAj is an employee of Home town & his employee id is 214882 . After purchasing it i am unable to get an speed of even 10kbps. The speed is 4kbps at present. for the same when i contacted him thn he didnt address to the problem properly neither could provide the proper customer service. Then i had to visit the store again, Nw one of the deptt manager named as Mr Atul Tagore assisted me for the same & assured that the problem will be solved & will call us for the same but same happened & even he didnt took a pain to inform or call us. When i called then Mr Atul told me that Sir we will give you a voucher against it & you can redeem the same .When i refused that i dont wanna buy anything thn Atul gave me an interesting advice that you can come to the store & talk to any customer & get it exchanged with the customer.Me question is that why should i run behind an customer & ask for exchange the voucher .Then finally I address the issue to Mr Rakesh who is an Manager . Even he gave me all his management gyan & thn assured me of resolving it asap.But its very sad that the issue is still their, when i had a word with Rakesh thn he is telling me that i will give the number for Relaince & you can talk to them. Why should i talk to them, when i got it from the store i thn you people must respond to it.
                            As a customer i was given a wrong knowledge & commitment by your store people about the product which induces me to bought the product.
                            Kindly look into the issue as i need to pay the monthly rental as well that too for a product which i am unable to use.

                              Subject : Complaint against sub standard quality product sold to the customer by following unfair trade practices by Big Bazaar.

                              I purchased an ‘Olympus Digital Camera (FE-25 model) with 10 MP from Big Bazar which had 2years product warranty. I was sold an original camera with full price tag which turned out to be either duplicate or substandard product. I was never informed at the time of purchase that the camera has poor quality and that the images of the camera are not good.

                              I had in the past used an Olympus Camer a - 6MP with absolutely superb quality of images and hence as a customer I thought if I purchase a higher mega pixel camera I will get better quality. I was not informed at the time of purchase that the camera is poor in quality. It was only after a couple of months when I used the camera, I realised that it was a poor quality or duplicate camera that I was being sold.

                              Every branded product has a brand equity and we purchase branded products and pay higher price because we expect those products to be of superior quality and if the customer is not getting quality means he’s being cheated of his brand perception. This is exactly what happened in my case.

                              Big Bazaar is selling substandard branded products to customers and hence cheating every Indian customer. They are fooling people by selling lower quality branded products. If the company is producing lower quality product for the Indian market then they have to sell it at less price and also inform the customer of the same ,and if they are not doing that means clearly they are cheating the customers.
                              I have checked with other retailers and some of them are clearly informing customers of the quality issues with the ‘Olympus Camera’ and hence are being fair to the customer.

                              Big Bazaar has clearly cheated the customer in this case and has made the customer go through stress and mental agony by not responding and offering proper service. They even claimed to replace the camera and later backed out.

                              Reputed and professional companies are following unfair trade practises in this country as there are no proper laws and powers for customers .

                                We had purchased a bed from Big Bazaar, Sealdah on 26th Jan, 2011. It was delivered within a week, but while assembling, it came to notice that the rot iron bed was defective. So the assembling could not be done properly, and it laid in the corner of the room(unusable).

                                Since that day, we had been trying to contact the couple of numbers, provided for any assistance needed. But we are yet to receive any remedy from their side. They have been providing false promises and dates, whenever we give them a call. Sometimes they don't even bother to pick up the call. And what's most disappointing is, one of the number belongs to the Manager(one Mr Soumitra) of the Furniture department. He has been the biggest liar during all our communications, and has been providing false promises. And notably, also threatened saying that, we are trying our best, and nothing would happen even if we try to speed up the process from our side by escalating it to higher authorities, or even go to the Consumer Forum.

                                We have made the full payment for the furniture as we needed it badly, and yet suffering to the whims of one of the employees of the so-called-esteemed brand. Soliciting the involvement of the respective authorities in this regard at the earliest.

                                I agree with sanjay fully. I also purchased one study table from sealdah big bazaar one year ago. They did not sevice of the defective one. Again I purchased one sofa set one month ago and it is also difective as one whole at three seater. I noticed at the time of delivery but soumitra told that he will replace the same .But no action was taken.

                                  Dear Sir ,I am Dr.Dinesh Naitam from Bhilai had purchased 2 beds and 1 wardrobe from Big Bazar,Chokra Nala,Raipur on[protected] for which i had paid Rs.38000/- in advance after the promise made by their assitant manager,sales department Mr.Anup that they will deliver my products on[protected] as there is no stock available.On[protected] i called Mr.Anup to query regarding my items,he told me that i will have to wait for another 7 days as produts had'nt arrived from Kolkata,so within 2 days i will get my delivery.I waited for another 2 days but nothing happened.So I went personally again to enqure,same reply was given by their staff members as Mr.Anup was on leave.Same promise was again made by those peoples that i will get my products after 2-3 days.After 4 days the products were delivered to me but the mirror of one of the wardrobe was broken,when i complained this to the big bazar furniture section they told me that for one mirror we cannot send labours as well as transpoting medium, so they will solve the problem next time when anyone from Bhilai will purchase the furniture.for one week i was managing with broken mirror,but till date they didnot replaced that broken mirror,so should i wait for somebody who will buy those ghatia big bazar product when they will send their labours and transport to deliver the products purchased by that poor fellow,please kindly solve my problem as these big bazar peoples doesnot know professional attitude

                                  Big Bazzar- wardrobes — wardrobes

                                  We bought 2 wardrobes form bigbazaar on the 15th of august. A person came tom assemble it on the 22nd of august after calling them repeatedly . The two door wardrobe was fixed but it had a damage. The three door wardrobe was fixed half (the doors were not fixed) as the necessary material was not available. They told us that they would get the material and assemble it the next day. Till today nobody has come to finish the job nor have they called us. We have called them a hundred times but there is no response from them. We request u to take necessary action. Hope u will do the needful

                                    I purchased a LG (8019pr) washing machine from Big Bazar , Durgapur on 22/02/2011 in their on going scheme of " purana becho naya kharido". As the machine on display was scratched I asked them for delivery of fresh one preferably with blue top and same was assured on 23/02/11. As I was leaving for Port Blair on 24/02/2011 I insisted to deliver the same positively on 23/02/11 so that I could set the machine in my house at Durgapur and my family does not face any problem .On 23rd when we visited Big Bazar and saw that the dented, scratched washing machine which was on display was not there. On enquiry I was informed that it has been dispatched to the purchaser. We guessed that it is has been dispatched to us and objected to it. The machine didn't reach to us on 23/02/11.I was tried to convince by the store manager that the system was showing stock level of 3 but physical stock was only one so machine was not dispatched to us.I was not atall impressed by this sloppy excuse. Finally store manager assured me to return cash on 24/02/11. Big bazar representative came to me on 24/02/11 but requested us that we should give them 3-7 day time so that washing machine can be brought from Kolkata warehouse and delivered to me.Finally we agreed to this term . I am very sorry to say that washing machine has not been delivered till 10/03/11. On 04/03 I called store manger at around 4.30 pm and he was not aware fo this development and assured me to call back soon.I received no call from him and finally at around 8.50 pm I called him twice but he did not bother to accept my call. On 08/03/11 Big Bazar representative turned up at my house witrh a machine. It was opened in front of them and as it has two big scrathes in front penal they took back the machine.In fact Big bazar not only gave me extremely poor service but also raised suspicion about the whole deal.In fact the washing machine on display had two price tags and when i wanted to know the price of machine the salesgirl discreetly tried to remove the lower price tag. They were not able to answer my question about big difference in LG 6.5 kg and & 7.00 kg fully automatic top loading washing machine.These whole thing paints very bad picture of practices in Big Bazar.However I have decided to remain very cautious in future deals with big bazar. As of now I want my grivance to be settled immediately with due compensation.

                                    I am facing a problem with Big Bazaar myself. They had promised to send the machine home, but after we had sent our old machine, they say they will not do home delivery. Its high time the bosses start to notice the consumer's pain else it might be too late for them to recover. Anyway, these companies in India won't learn customer satisfaction lessons properly. The money they pump into business is again public money, so why bother might be the attitude.
                                    It's 15/03/2011 and till date i have only received one phone call from there customer care number on 13/03/2011 assuring immediate call back which is still awaited.                                       I have purchased Westorn brand DVD player from bigbazar lowerparel but and with in one month i found it faulty i applied for replacement on 15th feb 2011, i have still not received any responce and after calling several time and visiting bigbazar at lower parel dtaed 09/03/2011, they havent replied me yet and they are extending it day by day. Almost 1 month have passed i have still not received my DVD player,
                                      They are offering me other Brand with more money,after refusing it this they have given me 2 days time for replacement after that i will a put the complaint agains big bazar in consumer court
