I have made a purchase vide Purchase memo No.T56/3435 Dt. 19.07.2009 for an amount of Rs. 1,471 at Big Bazar Ameerpet Hyderabad.

I purchased two Care Mate Diapers of Rs. 299 each amounting to Rs. 598 but i was billed for three which amounted to Rs. 897. Apart from this there were other items which had no discrepancy. As usual there were good offers in the big bazar and there was huge rush. Due to which we were not given proper chance to check the bill at items within your store. Normal practice of your store customer get the items for billing to your billing counter and your billing staff will take the goods and accordingly bill for it. But what happens actually is that you take goods and project it before bar code for billing if your project twice then the billing is twice and the customer gets one product and billed for twice. At this point customer is not given any chance to even atleast view how many is being billed and whether is he paying exactly for what is he getting??? am sure atleast for this many a times it has happened to me. After the billing is over since we have trust on you and crowd is so much that you feel like coming out of that at the earliest and we donot check. In fact i have also not checked this and was billed for three products. I noticed it at my house about this discrepancy.

Upon noticing this i called up the customer care on Phone No.[protected] and informed about this where in i was informed to come personally and lodget a complaint at the customer which i did at the same day at 21.15 hrs where as my billing time was 20.11 Hrs. During the time of lodging the complaint also i have informed that it was my mistake and your hence lets come to win win situation where in your customer service staff has asked for 48 hours of time so that they could check the thing if they found that they have an excess thing they would definately inform me but unfortunately till now over past two months no intimation has come to me.

By raising this point am definately not expecting the refund of Rs. 299 what i was billed but what the issue by raising is that whether this type of things is being done by staff with the knowledge of the management or not is my doubt??.

If its done with the knowledge of the management definately you are cheating the customers probably i would be first person to stop the customers from coming to your store. This needs total correction.

If its done without the knowldege then you staff is deceiving you please have a check and proper control. In my issue there would have been definately involvement of staff where staff would have taken away this packet by not giving it to the customer.

I am not expecting a reply for this mail which i would have wasted almost an hour in drafting the reply but why i thought i should bring it to your notice is that you should not get a bad reputation by doing this type of things since i love to shop in big bazar in any part of the country as i extensively travel.

i gone to v3s mall big bazar to purchase some products for home use on Saturday 17Apri2010, at the time visa and biz bazar promotion is going that on purchase of 1000 u gt 50rs discount card.
but when i completed shopping from the store and gone for billing the store incharge didnt allowed me to use my visa card and didnt allowed to pick 10 bottles of 2litre coke bottles and said u cant pay from card as u do frequent shoping from this store. u cant purchase this much things from our store ...
i didn't get the reason right, what he given for not accepting my card nd of bulk purchase , i there no guidelines out there, that how much a person can buy in one month or one time... i said this to store in charge but he didnt accept it , and at last didn't allow me to buy products from my card and not even 10 bottels of coke...

on 17 April @ 1: 30 pm approx.
its better i[censored] take some action against the store incharge.

i too agree with mr.sudhakar and the big bazaar personnel should respond immediately and refund the amount by cash voucher as their rules are such.
hello mr.kishore biyani are you listening? he should instruct the staff to take steps to resolve the issue with in 24 hrs.

    we bought a godrej digital safe locker from home town a division of home solutions retail ltd.on 05/11/2009 that on 5th of november 2009 for which we paid Rs.13965 the same day .The store manager promised to deliver the product within 48 hours.They had given us only the advance receipt (advance receipt no.[protected])
    Today it is 20 th of november 2009 yet we have not received the digital safe locker .on repeated phone calls to the store we getiing the same answer to wait for 2days since 2weeks.we made call on 19th nov. for which they said to deliver the product by evening.

    The reason why i am complaining about this retail store is this is not first time we had this experience.we bought a television in this same store during diwali festival offer time.they promised to deliver the television by next day evening.but we got it after a week that too after repeated phone calls.

    We bought another product kent water purifier on 5th november 2009 the same day we bought the locker.we got it delivered after one week.again a week delayed.on top of that the installation service was not done untill 19 th november .only after repeated calls to the store they had sent the person to install the kent water purifier on 19th november 2009.

      I PURCHASED WIRELESS MOUSE FROM REDIFF THROUGH ONLINE SHOPPING. BUT I FOUND IT TO BE DEFECTIVE . I INFORMED IT TO THEIR CUSTOMER CARE. BUT NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN TILL NOW.

        Dear sir,

        On 14th Nov, 2009 i have purched BB Gift Voucher at one of Malad stores and on 15th Nov. my family & myself visited at Malad store for shopping.

        After spending 3- 4 hour , when we came at the cash till for billing after all our things were packed at the time of payment the BB Voucher were not accepted as their system has some problem.

        When we tried to speak thier floor manage, he also refused to co-operate the customer keep on saying that their system has problem.

        But we tried to convince him that the BB voucher are pre paid voucher and there own voucher there should not be any problem to accept. If they have any pitty on their customer they would have accepted and make bill later on Once their system is up.

        This has been very dissappointed us, we have waisted 3-4 hour in shopping and we left from there without any purachse.

        I would have purchased the same on credit / debit card, but my family deceided not purchase any thing from BB. Non of the staff were ready to co operative with us.

        But i was highy dissapointed as my son has selected some computer games and he returned with empty hand.

        Very bad experience we had at Big Bazaar, Malad, we could'nt understand that their own BB Voucher were not accepted and a very shamefull to BB.

        We have communicated to all our customer not to visit BB with Vouchers for shopping and to return those voucher to us. My cutomer should not face as i faced at Big Bazaar at Malad.

        I faced the same problem rather more worse than yours
        i had this voucher on which the date was washed off (expiry date)
        and first time they rejeceted saying you can ask it at customer service
        after series of mails to customer service one by name IRFAN use to say it is re-validated
        this happened 4-5 times and i visited BB did shopping and denied of accepting coupons
        later he asked me to courier those coupons it came back to me as he had given a wrong addresee
        worst experience that anybody could face with bigbazaar

          I would like to put my case bluntly. We are the routine customers of Big Bazaar, store located at EDM Mall, Anand Vihar. We have never faced such type of issue while shopping with any brand or store. We went to the big bazaar store at EDM and when we asked the luggage storage guy(sitting outside the store) to keep our bags outside the store, he said that there are no tokens available at the moment. We said ok. we shall wait for sometime here. Then he said - madam you can go to the baggage counter few steps ahead. Hence, we went to that counter to keep our handbags and got to know that we need to pay Rs. 10/- towards the same. This is really surprising and shocking. This is not a matter of Rs. 10/- or so but a very shameful matter. I mean , v go to various big or small stores at various malls, but we never intend to pay xyz amount just to keep our bags out. This is really disgusting and painful. plz look into the matter. We have already registered our complaint at big bazaar's website.

            I would like to share my bitter experience of buying a Kodak camera, cash memo # T42/19418, from Big Bazaar on Dhanteras which screwed me up big time.

            There was an offer going on, on purchase of above Rs.5000 they will give a gold coin on that day.

            I ordered a camera and made the full payment on the same day, they called me to collect the product after 3 days which they failed to meet, then again they called me after 3 days and missed the commitment the 2nd time. Finally I wrote to [protected]@futurebazaar.com & [protected]@pantaloon.com only to realize that these are just to fill up their 'contact us' section in their web page and are of no help literally.

            I collected the Kodak camera after 7 days from the date of purchase and got the charger of Sanyo, on asking the reason they said "NO STOCK".

            The gold coin was not available even after 7 days of the payment made and I am still waiting for them to call me for that counting the 3rd day to end since 22nd October.

            I have written them again and they turned their deaf ear once again.

            I request you all please think twice, thrice and finally do not agree to a buying decision of costly items from BIG BAZAR.

            They don't even care for your mails to fulfill the gaps to improve their crap service. And they are quite comfortable this way.

            Lets see when the gold coin comes finally.

              Me and my wife reached the all new glossy HomeTown in Rajarhat Kolkata within a week when they opened. Looked at the Modular Kitchen section and asked for a design as per my requirements in early Aug. They were so nice to us and took the money in advance for the design. A guy came to my house and took all necessary measurements. They asked me come down to the office after a couple of days and showed me a design, which my 4 yr daughter can make without any problem. It was bogus. I showed that I am not happy and guided them with my thoughts and finally they could translate my ideas. Now the sadest part came.. I wanted an open-kitchen and asked the people at Modular Kitchen if they can take the responsibility of breaking the walls, finishing and everything else. The head representative there told me that he can arrange everything. He sent a person and he told me that he 'll take 2 days to break the wall, it took 5 days. He promised me to send 2 guys to work but sent one guy and he worked part-time. Then he told that he won't clear the rbbish.. After that, the kitchen cabinets were ready and Modular Kitchen said they 'll take 2 days to fit it. I am not beig able to explain everything but I could not use my kitchen for 2.5 months and still the kitchen fittings are not yet ready. HomeTown Modular Kitchen service is worst. You 'll definitely suffer if going for it. The customer service is horrible.. They never keep their words. Beware...

              We had logged your kitchen order on 28th august 09. As per the order term and conditions, 45days are required for delivering the material and the balance 50% also have to be cleared before the delivery.

              The fittment of the kitchen started on 16th Oct which was well within the commited time. 17th Oct being grand pooja in Kolkata we faced great difficulty in organizing the fitters.
              Since on 18th Nov you were out of station the work was not completed. You called us again after few days when you were back and the work was completed on 23rd Oct & we have also received the completion certificate duly signed by you. The kitchen was ready to use then.

              As on date we have an additional order pending for this kitchen.

              I am being neutral as I don't want to put all the details and lengthen the discussion. I hope the message that I wanted to send to you, has reached you.

              I hope you 'll be true to yourself whenever taking an order or whatever you say when selling a product to the consumer, not for the purpose of just selling a product. Please don't commit anything that you can't do or if you have slight doubt on the job being completed in time.

              People like knowing the facts upfront instead of listening next day and next day...

              Customer service is the only thing that brings the win-win relationship.
              I have seen the so called designers at hometown, and yes the kind of designs they come up is nothing to write home about. Well, it all depends on the quality of service and product one is willing to pay.

              I am surprised that you only mentioned the service and not the product, or perhaps its too early to comment on that. Infact, I was looking at buying a modular kitchen for my kolkata apartment, and went around shopping for one. However, I was highly disappointed withe products on offer.

              You see I am used to the service and product provided by Vesta kitchens in Gurgaon for my Gurgaon flat. They don't even charge for design in advance, cos they are so certain that clients would love what they offer and a very creative and proffessional company I must say and more or less at similar price levels.

              Anyway all the best to you, and hope that your kitchen is functioning fine.

              Here I want to draw your notice from delivery point of view.Some of the employee at hometown does marketing kind of things and promising their customers to deliver the goods before delivery date.because it is too difficult to wait till a month to get a good.If hometown cant deliver the particular good in a short span of time, then the employees should not promise to make it done.We have suffered a lot on it.We ordered for a sofa and wanted it within 15 days of time.But one of the employee from the correspond department told us to deliver before time and told us to keep trust on him.according to company policy, he gave us the delivery slip of a month.Now it is over 20 days, we tried to call the representive to discuss about the status of sofa, he did not want to listen us and told different stories.

              It is really painful to expect this situations from a brand like hometown.I am a regular customers of yours and purchased more than Rs 80000 goods from you.Please help me out if you can do something for me.

              The most bitter experience of the town while visiting "Home Town" Rajarhat. Yesterday the 4th April I had been to Home Town and selected a hydrolic bed and a tea table. When finally the documentation was ready after one hour of waiting they asked me Rs 942/- for processing charge though it was displaying '0' % interest, Rs 50/- for lifting to first floor flat and enhanced the total price by Rs 1100/- as the system has updated the price.

              The common people usually select an item looking the tagged amount but Home town has the practice of charging various amount in different reasons. So everyone shold think twice wether to purchase anything from Home Town.

              I have a different opinion on the services of Hometown. They were very courteous and had generally kep their word on the delivey date.

              In one of the situation, we had some problem with the fitment and when we complained, it was promptly replaced. I am sorry to hear such experiences from other consumers.

              In fact, I had recommended some of the colleauges to them and have not heard anything adverse from them. They are expensive compared to many local manufacturers...but then they provide guarantee to some of the deliverables...at least that is what I experienced.

              Dear Sir/ Madam

              I am writing to you in reference to the worst services provided by Hometown after we purchased the premium products for renovation of my bathroom on dated 12/12/2010.The goods purchsed on 12/12/2010 and there are a number of complains i have against the services provided by Hometown which are as follows:
              1) Incomplete delivery of materials as per advance receipt no : [protected] which lead to us buying new materials again as per your Supervisor Mr. Sukanto & the contractor Mr. Subir Das's requirement.
              2) The layout of the bathroom as shown to me by Ms. Ranjeeta has not been constructed. Due to wrong planning of the Hometown's Architect the glass cannot be laid .This wrong drawing has lead to wrong deliverey of materials etc.The wrong planning of the layout has lead to major losses for my next floors bathroom. This has incurred extra burden on us & major damage on the property.
              3) The Supervisor Mr. Sukanto has has charged us Rs. 6000 towards supervision fees. He has told us that this supervision fees is for his visit on the site for 6times till completion. But till now he has come not more than 2 - 3 times wheras the money has already been paid to him for 6 visits.
              4) Mr. Sukanto while his visit on 21/05/2011 had confirmed that the bathroom will be reday to use within 10 days starting work on 23/05/2011 having labours working day & night shifts. Unfortunately today is the 20th day but the bathroom is still not completed. We have tried to contact the supervisor but no response from his end.

              The materials in Hometown are pretty expensive as compared to the market rates & even their labour charges are higher than usual market rates. We expected some good services in return of our huge investments but i would agree that investing in Hometown can be the biggest blunder anyone can make in life. Their supervision, labour, services are pathetic, very poor, unprofessionals.

              I would suggest all my friends & family to be beware of the Hometown services.

              Its horrible service provided by Hometown. Its been more than a year -- we booked our modular kitchen through HT, its been installed and running -- however till date -- the warranty card has not yet been issued -- WHY -- initially it was issued wrongly -- when pointed out over the same to respective Supervisor -- it was supposedly to be corrected immediately -- however its been more than 5 months now -- and the correction is yet to happen !

              Moreover to that recently we booked an Window AC -- and it was supposed to be delivered within 10 days -- its more than a month now -- after repeated follow ups we have been told -- they will not be able to deliver the said item -- Reason -- Out of Stock -- was it not known to the respective person in EZone Dept? When questioned about the refund of the amount which had been paid while booking the said material --we are given to understand they are still working on the same and will respond (god knows when will they have the time to respond !)

              Customer Service will never respond proactively and will never provide the exact status.

              These hometown people are just there to cheat customers. Me too suffered badly by these irresponsible people. My total money gone wastage to the poor quality modular kitchen. The accessories already got rust and cabinets started affected by termite. Several times I complained but no one attended. Beware of this jerk.

              Extra amount of Buy 1 get 1offer product also added in Total Bill

              I have bought Lion Dates food product(200g), which was in offer of Buy 1 & get1 free.Each qty is of 49.00rs only.and they have totaled a bill of 98.00rs.

                I have purchased a car wax from Big Bazzar (Pantaloon Group) white field bangalore,
                as per the instruction given in the Formula1 tin i have applied the same on my car , atlast after completing the waxing process, i observed red patches formed on the car ....

                I have approached Big Bazzar management regarding the same, they are working on it .... till now (For the past 1 week) i dint get any response from them

                Big Bazar doesnt sell original Formula 1 car wax. Look closely it would read Formula USA. They are seling fakes.
                I had also have bad experience with big bazar. I also purchased the same product and experience the same problem. But after cosulting the car service engineer/decorator, the red patches on the bonut gone after making more efforts. Do not rub on the red patches hardly. They will disappear auttomatically after making ten to fifteen times wash with good washing power (use hair shampoo) in a span of one month time.

                  I had purchased a cabinet from Home Town on 30/09/09 and was assured that it would be assembled within 48hrs of its delivery which they claimed was a standard that they are are known for. The product was delivered on 05/10/09, and i got a call on the same day that it would be assembled positively on 07/10/09, however no one came and i had to call them back as i had wasted the entire day waiting for them. I spoke to Saugata Saha from the fittment department who assured he would get it assembled. On 08/10/09 the fitter came from Home Town and assembled the product but for my shock the product was damaged. It had a door that was damaged and the fitter initially saying that it is just a scrach later agreed that it is a damaged door and i can write my complaint on the Job Card and it would be fixed. He refused to give me a copy of the jobcard, however on my insisting he handed over the copy to me his name was Tapas. I waited for a couple of days when i didnot hear anything back i called up Home Town and was told there is no complaint under my name with them as they do not look at the Job Cards. I registered another complaint # 39019 and again spoke to Saugata who again assured me that he would either get it fixed today or get me speak to the head of their department whose name is Sweta Banerjee. however he called back assuring that next day some one froom Home Town would be visiting to have my product fixed. Till 31/10/09 no one came and when i called back again on 31st to Home Town i got another shock that my cpomplaint was registered for a faulty Gyeser(i have never bought a geyser from them). Again i have been told by Saugata Saha that it would take couple of more days, however he has been unable to provide any reason for the delay. And I have been refused on requesting to speak to head of the customer service/ fitment dept. Ms Sweta Banerjee claiming that she is busy with other customers and they cannot do anything.

                    I have purchased refrigerator from Big Bazaar Chinchwad Pune on 15th Oct 09. The refrigerator had scraches on it and we immediately informed Big Bazaar about this. They told us they will sent technician within next 3days. But no technician came till today. We are repeatedly calling them and complaining them about the problem and the manager there told us that technician will come and inspect but till date no one has come.They have told us that they will replace the refrigerator once technicain inspects it but nothing has been done and its been 2 weeks now.

                        This to inform you that few of private security companies has so much of authority that they are surpassing the law

                        and order.I met with an incident while shopping at BIg Bazaar at MG Road Trivandrum.The security guards behaved

                        indecently and rudly with me and my wife.
                        We suffer too much due to there security breakings.The incident as happens that day- we have purchased one dress for

                        our kid but at the billing counter they forget to remove the security alarm tag and it passes with us out of the

                        gate.while reaching home we found that security tags is not removed and we can not remove it at home without

                        damaging the dress, what we thought that we will take that dress next time.NOW the stories is the dress is inside my

                        wife purse and we have entered inside big bazaar.while going out the security alarm started beeping due to security

                        tag with that dress.within a min all the security staff gather around me and my wife and they started shouting on

                        us. we dont know malyalam and they were not able to understand hindi/english.They didnt asked for my ID card, as I

                        was carrying at that time my office id card forcefully they have searched my wife purse and they have taken me to

                        the basement, I was trying to explain everything but they were not ready to listen.I have sent my wife to home alone

                        for bringing the bill. I have stayed there in the big bazaar in the basement like a theif for one hour.
                        After getting the bill and verifying then only they freed us.
                        sir they have no rights to retain someone like this.My grievance with the Consumer affair law enforcing authority to

                        please take appropriate action and dont give so much of authority to any private security firms.

                        This is not the first time its happening in Big Bazaar Trivandrum. RThe same thing happened to me in may 2009, when i went to do some urgent shopping for my sisters wedding. The tag wasnt removed and it started beeping as we came out. The security surrounded me and my cousin, frisked and spoke redely to us. When they realised it was their mistake the store management didnt even bother to apologize. They are unprofessional and uncouth.It was a humilaiting experience. we had anothert similar experience in Big bazaar bangalore./ I hate shopping in Big bazaar.My brother in law bought booze they were charging anauthorised extra amount above mrp. Its really not worth going there...

                          About a fortnight back on my way to Mysore I asked my driver to pick up a few packets of oats biscuits from Big Bazaar after I reached Mysore we opened the package and found the following
                          1, 6 packets of Mcwhities biscuits were beyond the sell by date
                          2, 4 packets of American biscuits nearing their sell by date marked with the green dot contained fish gel and therefore unacceptable and misleading

                          One expects at least big business to be responsible!

                              I ordered a digital camera worth Rs. 4800 and Aramex (another group of robbers), delivered the wrong product and it was a small usb key worth some 20 rupees and covered miserably and when I asked for some explanation, they pretend to do the necessary for the possible mistakes and I 'm still waiting for them to refund the product!!!
                              Don't waste your time ordering in this site! Futurebazaar as well as Aramex, they are robbers!!!!

                              they pretend to deliver within 48h, this is no truth!! either you never get delivered at all or else you get delivered something worth not more than a penny !!!

                                I absolutely agree with what you say. These people does not have any coordination among various departments but too good in lip service. They have most pathetic, unacceptable and dissatisfactory service, I have ever came acrosss or heard of. I have purchased a bedroom set on 16th Sept 2009 and all the consignment was finally delivered on 10th Nov 2009 after lot of follow-ups. But still I got damaged 4D wardrobe & Side table and I have no idea whether my complaint will be heard or not?

                                  I have purchased furniture from Home Town, Kolkata and it was supposed to be delivered on 6th October. On 6th evening, when furniture was not delivered, I called Home Town and I was informed that it will be delivered on 8th. On 8th morning, I called Home Town to know the status, I was told that they will delivered it on 10th and when I insist to know the reason of this delay, I did not get any satisfactory response from them. I do not know what I should be doing? I have spent my two days in my house, waiting for furniture to be delivered and every time I get a new date.                                   I have the same experience with home town kolkata. I had bought furniture on 10/10/2009 vide advance receipt no.[protected] . The material was delivered on time and agreed for the fitting of the furniture after 48 hours .As per their statement the furniture was to be fitted on 16/10/2009 and I waited for them to come or any phone but did not receive any call from Home Town. Then I personally went to Home Town and asked for the fittment of the furniture .Mr. Asish, an employee of Home Town, Kolkata assured me for the fitting of the furniture today i.e.17/10/2009. I waited for the same and when I did not receive any call from Home Town, I again telephoned at Home Town but no body was lifting the telephone[protected]/30680513/[protected].Such a bad experience of Home Town I had never exprience in my life.

On the committment of the executives I called in the labourers but unfortunately they delayed the supply of the said material. I kept calling them continuously and might be a woman's chrm worked and they delivered the stuff at 8:30 pm and charged me extra for the delivery.
                                  I have faced a similar problem. I purchased an oven 1.5 mons back, they took the advance but yet to be delivered. We should immediately go to the consumer forum..

                                  no one has so much of time that we can wait for days and days for you people to come and assemble it ,whereas it was promised to be done within 48 hours.
                                  once money is in the pocket customer is a beggar as he has to call them several times and above that they misbehave.pl Mr.Biyani CEO is this the way you harass your customer.
                                  I also bought a dining table set along with a rocker on 26th January worth 46000. Promised delivery was on 28th Jan 2010 and assembling within 48 hours of delivery. Delivery happened on 29th Jan and we are still awaiting assembly. No response from the customer service desk number. Amazing the way these big chains feel they can dominate customers.

                                  Probably we should stop going to these biggies so that they can understand the power of the consumer.
                                  I would advice customer NOT TO BUY PRODUCT FROM HOME TOWN, KOLKATA. They are the biggest cheater in Kolkata. I have ordered a dinning table under Advance Receipt No: [protected] dt. 28/08/2011 which was supposed to deliver within 3 days. Right now it is more than 20 days and there is no sign of delivery or status report from their end. We have tired of calling again and again. As per my last correspondance, they asked me to send email at ht.[protected]@futuregroup.co.in requesting for refund. Now they guys are kept neglecting my email and not ready to provide the refund against non-delivery of product.

                                    this is a complaint on behalf of Big Bazaar customers... as i was went to Big bazaar for shoping on sunday (Sep 4th, 09) and we found many mistakes in billing... as they have charged high amount then what its apprear for products.... and this problem is not only for one billing.. but for all other ppl who came for shopping...

                                    by this, they make lot of money by fooling ppl.. as many of customers dont check bills... also, we would have understood this problem if its for 1 day... but on tuesday, one of my friend went to Big bazaar (malad west) for shopping and still he found the same mistakes in billing....

                                    so this is request on behalf of all customers to take neccessary actions against Big Bazaar (Malad west) so that customers will not be loose money by this scam used by Big Bazaar..

                                    I bought and paid for a furniture order and still haven't received it despite getting phone calls on three or four different occasions that I should stay at home to receive it. The Malad store has no reachable numbers or accountability. The warehouse people and the guy who will fit your furniture do not co-ordinate. Remains to be seen what will happen to this delivery. Very unprofessional and dishonest dealings Big Bazaar. No department online or the customer service helpline seems to help.

                                      Dear Customer Care,
                                      My miseries started on 15th August, when I read an Advt. In one of leading daily of Delhi that Home Town at Great India Place Noida is offering a 40% discount on Modular Kitchens.
                                      I contacted yr representative Ms Neeti Batra over the phone, took an appointment and reached there with all the dimensions of my Kitchen. We finalized the kitchen and agreed on price and immediately deposited Rs 25000/- as token money the same day i.e. on 15th August itself. I was informed that someone will visit my house with in next two days to take exact measurements and then my order will be sent to factory for manufacturing and will be delivered to me in 25 days (by 9th Sept).
                                      One person did come to my home and took the measurements and I thought that now my order would be place, but then i was informed by same Neeti Batra that I need to come and sign on the final drawings as approved and deposit 50% of the total price as advance and then only order would be sent for execution. I went there on 23rd August, signed the drawings and deposited another Rs 25000/-, and then I was informed that now 25 days will start from 23rd August and ordered material will be delivered on 19th Sept. I went back home with the hope that the ordered material would be delivered to me on 19th Sept and started making all necessary arrangements to dismantle /renovate my existing kitchen so that I keep things ready when they deliver.
                                      In-between on 28th Aug, I again called Neeti to know the progress, and came to know that she has left the company and another person Ms Jaspreet would be handling my case. I immediately contacted her and she informed me that my Kitchen has yet not been even sent to production for manufacturing as our drawings have not been finalized yet, however when I narrated the whole story to her and informed her that I have already signed the approval of drawings 1st on 15th and then on 23rd, she informed me that all right now we will place the order today for manufacturing and it will take another 25 days from today and now the new date is 23rd of Sept.
                                      I asked her to make me speak to her senior and then she introduced me to Mr. Paras, who is the store manager, I explained the whole story to him and he assured to me that, I need not worry and he will ensure that the Kitchen is delivered to me on 19th itself, and I should start the alteration / modification / dismantling my kitchen such a way that I complete all activities by 19th Sept.
                                      However, on repeated conversations with Paras, he finally informed me that my kitchen is getting dispatched from Nagpur on 19th Sept and would reach Dadri ware house of Home Solutions on 22nd and would be delivered on 23rd. I organized everything accordingly and stopped using my Kitchen since 17th Sept, and going to Hotels / Restaurants since then and made all provisions to keep it ready by 22nd Sept, however when I checked with transporter (safe express) I came to know that my Kitchen has been handed over to them only on 22nd Sept and will be delivered to Home solutions only on 24th.
                                      Today is 25th Sept,10.30 AM, so far there is no sign of me getting the Kitchen and all your people including Mr. Paras and warehouse in-charge at Dadri are lying on me and are making false commitments.
                                      I have suffered heavily due to all this and and am without Kitchen / home food for the past several days and still do not know when my kitchen would be finally handed oner to me.
                                      I call for an explanation, strict action against guilty and a suitable compensation to me by Home Solution for making me suffer so heavily.
                                      Pls revert with yr action and compensation to me.

                                      I am surprised to see how a company kills its present and future business. I am also attached to this line so I can fully understand your sufferings of not cooking your food in proper way.I hope co. will its word to deliver you your kitchen.
                                      This is totally mismanagement of company, the company should keep one head on the designers so that if they leave the job then also the thing should be done according to the schedule.

                                      But what can the workers do as the companies now days don't pay much to the employees reason (Hiring unskilled persons).

                                      Companies should pay good to the emploies so that they dont leave jobs and this what happend with mr arun would not happen to other clients.
                                      I was planing to come to India and get my kitchen done with the home town.. but I have to rethink about it.
                                      My God, It's really sad. The way they advertise all over India, we tend to believe them. I too was hoping to get my kitchen done. But reading Dr. Arun Malthotra's harassment, I will never get it done from them.
                                      I too had the same problem in 2012 in Pune and now the dream kitchen which I paid Rs 50, 000/- my hard earned money, on 26 January 2012 has become a dark hole. I had many teething problems with Hometown then, they got the wrong sized granite not once but twice. i had to cancel my plans to take my father to Goa also. After they finally set it- the granite was short so they added a strip without making it seamless- so over 4 years now the wood has rotted away from beneath and my kitchen sink finally fell through! Today i am not getting anyone to come in and do just this small job and I feel very cheated and let down by these people who take your money first and then literally harass you by not sending and then telling you that there is a skirting hence the measurements they took were not right!! unbelievable!!
                                      Yes they sold a dream which has now turned into a nightmare...and i would like them to pay for the damages- they said marine ply- why should it rot if its good marine ply!! I never signed their completion certificate. This is the sad state of affairs of the so called future group in India!

                                      Checked this review just in time. Thanks you all saved me. I am travelling back to India for 2 weeks and wanted to get my kitchen work done quickly. I was considering Godrej and Hometown. Now only I wont waste my time visiting hometown!

                                        My name is Sagar Jaswani, staying in Pune, working in a software company.

                                        My family had bought a king size bed set from HomeTown :: Ishanya Mall :: Yerawada :: Pune, on 25 Jan, 2009, receipt number [protected], worth Rs 25,000.

                                        The bed set which was in display in the HomeTown mall, which we had selected and the one which was delivered were not the same, the one delivered was old, resale piece.

                                        When the bed was dellivered, on the spot we lodge the complaint on all the receipts, with the promise that the complaint would be taken care of. Though we followed for some time, but nothing positive.

                                        After just 6 months, in Aug 2009, the bed base got completely cracked, the back started sounding and had cracks, also the side started peeling off, ie all parts of bed started cracking in just 6 months.

                                        We again log a complaint in HomeTown furnitures, for a replacement, since it was wrong piece since starting and all parts at the end cracked just in 6 months.

                                        With after 1 month of following, what we get response from customer care manager Miss Pragya, is the replacement of base and repair of the remaining bed.

                                        Its a plain cheating to a customer, have all the receipts in hand where i have filed the complaints.

                                        Hometown, Ishanya, Pune — Bad experience - Cheated

                                        I visited Home Town on 20th Sept 09 to buy a dining table. I was informed that an offer was going on and I could get a 10% discount voucher on purchase above Rs 10,000. This voucher needs to be redeemed within 7 days on purchase of select items from Home Town.
                                        I liked liked a dining table made from Sheesham wood , the display price was Rs 39,900/-.
                                        I asked the sales executive if the 10% offer was applicable for this item, I was assured of the same.
                                        I later spend sometime looking for a shoe rack worth Rs 7500 which I will purchase using the discount voucher.

                                        As it was getting late I decided to come the next day and close the deal. Next day, I went to the furniture section and offered to purchase the Shesame dining table. The price tag displayed on the product was Rs 39,900/-.

                                        I was told I had to pay the full anout upfront and the table will be delivered in 25 days. I said this
                                        is absurd you can take the booking with a nominal amount and I will pay the remaining on delivery.
                                        After lot of discussions, we finalized on paying half the amount now and remaining till 12th Oct and that the table will be delivered sometime close to 16th Oct. If I don't do this I cannot avail the offer.
                                        I still did not think it was right on Home Town's part to take full amount from customer without delivering the product but considering that it was part of the renowned Future Group, I agreed.

                                        I immediately took the sales executive to the Shoe rack I wanted to buy using the discount voucher. To my surprise, in my absence, the price tag on the Shesame table, which I has finalized a little while back, was changed from Rs 39,900 to Rs 42,500. When I came back in 15 min, I was told the price has been revised.

                                        The executive said the price displayed on the product is indicative and the prices in their computer system are the actual prices.

                                        I believe this is breach of trust, I logged a compliant at the customer service desk and left the place.

                                        We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you.

                                        We confirm your purchase of bed from HomeTown Pune store on 25th Jan 2009 & acknowledge the complaint logged after the delivery, because of damaged Headboard of the bed.
                                        This complaint was resolved and the headboard was replaced & fixed up to your satisfaction after two attempts. We accept that in the 1st attempt the headboard replaced could not be fitted and we made 2nd attempt to complete successful replacement and installation.

                                        Your recent complaint is logged in Aug 2009 for the crack in the mattress plank, crack in the side panel and the damage of the headboard. Our representative visited your place to inspect the bed and captured the photographs which are attached with this mail. As a solution we propose the following action –
                                        1. Mattress plank to be replaced with a new plank
                                        2. Side panel to be replaced with a new panel
                                        3. Headboard to be rectified and touch up to be done

                                        We are confident that after carrying out the above said actions we will be able to rectify the current issues with the bed. We request you to kindly give your go ahead.

                                        i think the services are really bad and i agree with the complaint. the quality, time bound installation and good customer service is totally a sham. there are perhaps many more customer like mr.jaswani who fall prey of all false promises. iam the one who is undergoing the same mental trauma for paying 2 lakhs for modular kitchen. i think all those who are reposnsible for taking clients at ride must be booked for cheating- ujjwala sakhalkar
