I, Sanjay Sarawgi have been charged absurdly for tge month of september the amount being ₹3, 280 which is very high as per my consumption. I have already paid my bill but at this moment i would request you to check on my billing details and units recheck the charges i have been. Else i will be knocking the doors of consuner court as this is not being the first time and this time the charges too high to be considered.

    i am shocked to receive bill for Rs. 9710/- (covering a period of 3 months - july, 2020, august, 2020 and september 2020.) i have paid the bill to avoid disconnection, but you are requested to please look at the following facts :-

    (bill amount / units consumed / billed)

    2019 2020

    july 3140 (units[protected]units - 423)

    august 1890 (units[protected]units - 328)

    september 1280 (units[protected]units - 411)

    you can clearly see the gross error / mistake in your billing as above.
    you can also check records of earlier years also.

    as I have already paid the bill (under protest) to avoid disconnection
    i hereby request you to please arrange to make the necessary corrections and adjust the excess amount charged against my future bills or you may credit the excess charged amount to my bank account as under :-

      Respected sir my complain is against cesc kolkata central .I have complained to cesc for my high electricy bill unexpected from month of july.I use only four 9 watts led bulb and two fan.We dnt use telivision or Ac or fridge...Cesc sended me a bill of rs5190 for the month of july 2020.for last previous years we never got such bill..We use to get average bill of rs 600 to rs 800 previously..please look after the matter as we cant afford to pay such high bill..

        Applied for a new electricity connection with CESC (Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation) vide ref number 16/10941/20
        However, an absurd demand amount of Rs. 1.2 lakh has been made by CESC for provisioning the connection.

        How can a middle-class domestic consumer afford to pay 1.2 lakh for getting electricity connection? Emails sent to CESC has not entailed any response till date.

        Please send CORRECT demand amount after PROPER INSPECTION

            This is regarding Consumer no - [protected].
            My electricity bill used to come around[protected] during summer and 800-1200 INR in winter in last 3-4 years apart from CESC charging high bill during oct-nov for no reason but Pujo.This year the bill is coming around 2500 INR when there is no AC used and even fans not used much due to pleasant weather.I am receiving 2000 + bill from last 3 months which is unreasonably high.Either they are making meters faulty or for some other reasons...this is unacceptable.I am planning to take this matter on court if this does not get resolved here.This is not just the case with me, I have collected similar stories from around 12 neighbors which makes my case really strong.

                    I have paid all previous bills but every 3rd month the bill is generated very high.
                    In the month of June 2020 the bill was Rs. 2440 units consumed: 383
                    In the month of July 2020 the bill was Rs. 150 units consumed: 25
                    In the month of August 2020 the bill was Rs. 420 units consumed: 71
                    But the In the month of September 2020 I have got the bill of Rs. 2610 units consumed: 384.
                    I have paid all the bills except the month of September. How can it possible the bill is so fluctuated in every 3rd month and there is not mentioned the Previous Meter Reading & Present Meter Reading in the bill.
                    Please correct the bill to pay the within due date. Kindly take the necessary steps as soon as possible.

                            Since the last few months starting June 2020 till date we have been observing exorbitant bills made by CESC. During the month of June due to the prevailing lock-down from Feb till May, the physical meter readings could not be taken.
                            Hence in lie of this a consolidated bill for months March-April_May and June was send to us amounting to a huge sum of Rs.5540.
                            Since there was lot of hue and cry by most customers in Kolkata on such exorbitant and inflated bills made by CESC, they decided to keep certain amount on abeyance and make adjustments accordingly.
                            A revised bill was generated for June 2020. During the later months starting July-Sep we have been observing huge bills amounting to sums of[protected] every month being send to us. In one of the days of July the electric personnel from CESC had come to our house and used a certain device to calibrate the digital meter readings and reset the same.
                            It seems quite likely that they did this with clear instructions from CESC to recover the amount kept in abeyance via unscrupulous methods by tampering with the digital meter.
                            I have been keeping a closed watch on the energy meter for some days. And i have observed that in gaps of two hours or so the meter readings are going by by atleast 1-2 readings which seems highly unlikely given our day to day usage. I honestly feel that the meter has been tampered with the intention of showing it as being calibrated but in essence they have reset the statistics in such fashion that the meter runs faster than before and the readings keep increasing at abnormal rates.
                            Moreover we have limited the usage of heavy appliances in our home. Even then we are getting hefty bills every month.
                            This clearly shows the malevolent intentions of CESC to cheat domestic customers of their hard earned money and making the most of this Covid-19 pandemic as most agencies are seeing engaging in fraudulent business practices.
                            I want this matter to be given serious consideration and accorded high priority and dealt with appropriate punitive measures to stop such nuisance.

                              I paid Rs.1960.00 against bill no. 05/24389/19/2/1 dtd 6.1.20 for SecurityDeposit payment through net banking on 14.1.20, transaction ID being RSBI[protected]IGAHWMNCH5. However, no connection has been given till date nor any new meter has been installed at my address :"Home town", flat-5B, 5th floor, Block A, 218 Jessore road, Kolkata-89.
                              Such abnormal delay has posed much problem for me.Please arrange to install the new meter as soon as possible.

                                Hi,

                                I send emails on 19-Oct and 9-Nov from [protected]@yahoo.com but receive no responses from CESC and customer care guided me very wrongly.

                                The issue is on major discrepancy in the billed amount for the month of Aug'2020 due to wrong meter readings. The consumed unit readings are showing wrong, please check below.

                                1.Reading on 20th July = 13347, Unit consumed 224
                                2.Reading on 20th August = 13757, Unit consumed 410 (WRONG meter reading taken)
                                3.Reading on 19th September = 13786, Unit consumed 29

                                Due to wrong meter reading taken on 20th Aug by CESC personnel, the current bill becomes too high for higher rate slab, govt duty and MVCA. The next meter reading is too small which seems not right. Please note my domestic usage consumptions had no change for last two months.

                                Then a docket[protected] by CESC customer care and informed me to pay August bill and to call CESC after September bill generation. Today I called and customer care has no clue about the solution.

                                  I want to know the reason of this abnormal delay and wish to have the new electric meter installed as quickly as possible.

                                    And my monthly reading is average 20 units.
                                    By seeing above figures it could be understood that monthly bill of July 2020, Aug 2020 and sep 2020 is wrong.

                                    So you are requested to provide the monthly meter reading from January 2019 to se 2020, and also give the reason why my july 2020 aug2020 and sep2020 bills and meter reading is so high.
