    My average monthly bill within rs. 1000/1200 even last summer i have paid rs 1200/- maximum. But this month surprisingly the amount is rs 4500/-. How it is possible. I request to check my meter and reading properly and send actual amount to revise the july-20 bill immediately.

        The billing amount they have sent is completely absurd, and we are not ready to pay such an absurd amount. They (Cesc) use to read meters manually before billing them, since the outbreak of covid-19 manual meter reading has been postponed. Cesc use to sent text messages stating the consumed unit prior to the mailing of a hard copy, nowadays they do send the billing amount but not the consuming unit. And without even reading the meters properly they have sent a ridiculous amount which is way too much for a middle class family like ours to pay. Due to this pandemic situation we are out of jobs, it is really hard for us to provide food for our family and in this situation they have billed us enormously. This is unacceptable.

          My average monthly bill within rs. 1000/ even last summer i have paid rs 1500/- maximum. But this month surprisingly the amount is rs 2760/-. How it is possible. I request to check my meter and reding properly and send actual amount to revise the july-20 bill immediately.

            We are living 3 people in a 2 bhk floor. One ac, 4 fans, 5 led tubelights, one refrigerator, one pump is running in our meter. But our bill has come rs. 11690. This is too much for us. Please help us in this matter.

              Dear sir/ma'am
              My electricity bill for the month of june 2020 is false and excessively high and is rs 8250. My bill for may 2020 was rs 630 which was paid by me. For the last 2 months no one took meter reading due to lock down as written on your bill only then how come you charged 957 units this month when you don't have reading of previous month also. This bill has been made arbitarily without any consideration of my consumption. Kindly give new proper bill as per my consumption and stop this harrassment or will have to take complaint to chief ministers office

                  My latest cesc bill is abnormally high. Average billing is around 4, 000 per month but last months bill (June 20) has come to an abnormally high level of rs 26290/-.                     My average monthly consumption of electricity varies from 300 units to 500 units depending on season and usage of appliances.in the month of may 2020, the bill was generated showing usage of 2600 units and bill amount of rs 25000 approx. I reside in a complex and as such there is no scope of electricity theft from my meter.in my other residence where i have not been residing since the last one year but received bill amount of rs 3500. This bill is totally absurd and i think cesc ought to be more honest and should refrain from creating fake bills. I have made the payment but i am planning to approach consumer forum if the problem is not redressed.

                      My monthly average bill generally stands between 700-1000 rs, but cesc has sent the bill of rs 3890 for the month of may

                      This is an absurd huge amount of bill that has been charged by cesc. Approximate bills were send during the lockdown periods without any meter reading, which has also been paid for connection continuation, but this time it has crossed its limits by sending such an huge impossible amount..

                        As mentioned above, i find this bill amount exorbitant in relation to what i have been paying in the previous months (Even before the lockdown). I am a retired senior citizen and it will be very difficult for me to pay this huge amount. Moreover, i am unable to follow up my complaint by personally visiting your office during this covid19 crisis.
                        Therefore i request, you to kindly look into this matter and favour me with a refund if there has been any, inadvertent, overbilling

                                  This is even more shocking as the house has been locked since 25th june, as intimated in the earlier mail.

                                      For customer id [protected] and [protected], residing at calcutta - 63, the electric meter reading shown as 413 and 468 units, as opposed to 72 and 160 units in previous cycle. Hence, the overall bill is charged as 2930 and 3410 (With some minor adjustments). Request you to adjust the amount more realistically where consumers are not at loss. With the assumption that meter reading was not possible during earlier months (March, april'20) and hence in the months of may, you charge entire uncharged reading. Actually, you are charging my earlier months consumption at way too much price per unit rate. Under current financial situation this is practically difficult to pay this entire amount but moreover, the way calculations are made almost 99.9% individual consumers will be at loss. Request your kind co-operation to adjust the amount accordingly and realistically.

                                        Dear sir,
                                        I am really shocked to get your may2020 bill. The billed amount shows rs.3780.00 which is not only excessive but never ever before i have got such a huge bill. You can check your records regarding my consumption during last few months of this year’s summer and also of previous year’s.
                                        I inform that only two members of my family stay in the concerned flat and only for two people, consumption of such huge quantum of electricity is hard to believe by any reckoning.
                                        I apprehend either your meter is showing faulty reading or your meter reader noted the figure o[censored]nits wrongly (I am not sure though if any meter reader physically came or not in our apartmennt complex).
                                        I would request you to send your personnel immediately to check the meter or re-confirm the meter reader’s actual reading. To satisfy a customer if a serious doubt arises about billed amount is your responsibility.
