On 25th april 2015 cesc engineering staff carried out a dressing
Of incoming 3 - phase line to our housing & replaced with neat &
Clean busbar system for distribution to our individual meters.
But it was observed that the electricity bills for the whole
Premises as well as mine literally doubled. There was no
Excess consumption of electricity in my premises during the
Period. The cesc work was supervised by shri k n panja.
Please arrange to check the changes done at cesc power
Supply wiring in our housing by cesc staff.
Meanwhile with duress i am constrained to pay the excessive bill
For the months of june & july 2015.

    My reference no.is 07/05/716/15. In this connection I submit that I have been given date for inspection of my meter on 20.06.15 from 9 am to 1 pm. I was in my house on that time but no body came for inspection. Then I somehow contacted with your office and afterward they again gave me date on 04.07.15 on the same time but this time also nobody turn up for inspection. I was thoroughly on that time to the spot. I am not residing in the house permanently. Everytime I have to rush from Behala, Kolkata to Mankundu(Hooghly) leaving my official duties and other engagements. I am harassed without my fault. Now, can I expect to get some concrete response from your side to redress my hardship. I can not stay in my house due to non-availability of connection. Hoping for a quick attention and solution. I have also received an e-mail dt. 2.7.15 from my bankers, a copy of which I am appending with this mail along with my receipts of payment to CESC for Rs 922 dt. 20.6.15 through HDFC Bank and Axis Bank. It states that “The mentioned payment has been settled at billers end on 23.06.15 and note that old consumer number was : [protected] and then old consumer number has been changed to new consumer number: [protected] for which the customer id - 500xx597.CESC month bill is processed in the basis of customer ID “ It appears from their mail that the problem of payment arose because you had changed my consumer no. from [protected] earlier to now [protected]. Since both the payments have been made by me to CESC for May 2015 bill, I would request you to kindly either refund me Rs 922 paid online against consumer no. [protected] on Saturday 20 Jun 2015 through HDFC Bank from my SB a/c 000xxx.. 42260 to CESC or adjust it against a future Bill. My subsequent payment of Rs 922 done on line through Axis bank against CESC consumer No. [protected] is okay and can be retained by you towards May 2015 Bill payment. Since the matter is lingering for quite sometime, can I request you to kindly help me with a favourable mail confirming Refund/Adjustment in future Bill. Please note I am 67 years old and presently in Bangalore for an extended stay, so I cannot run around to Kolkata.         I am resident of Charulata Building, Block-H Plot 31K. Baishnabghata Patuli Township. My consumer number [protected]. The electric pole in front of my building bears the following details KMC 110, GS9, 3G.ZIV/LTa new building has come on up left to charulata building & right of Bulbul Building. While installing the electric pole for the said building a full grown tree is used as prop and the steel wire is tied on the trunk as support. The wire is now has cut deep into the trunk as it grows posing danger to all the building and the passer be too in case of the tree is uprooted by strong cyclone or storm.Your meter reader is notified of the danger but did nothing but assuring.Please immediately look into the matter and untie the wire freeing the tree form falling and causing serious casualty which even culminate danger to life of human.

              My address is 26 Dr Sundari Mohan Avenue, Kolkata 14;power cuts because of faults are no longer rare. If I don't complain about their tariff and pay my bills on time, I don't think it is improper to expect better service. Especially for a critical utility service. Right now I don't have power for almost two hours and their engineers spent the last 40 minutes deliberating how to unlock the transformer. The only reason why in a power surplus state they have power cuts now and then could only be because if you have inadequate infrastructure. It's unfair.

                My electric bill has been increasing every month. this month it was Rs. 60270. My consumer id is [protected] and consumer no. is [protected]. I do not live in my house for more than 5-6 hours. I am a service woman and hence leave home at 11 am and come back at 7 pm. hence such a huge bill is quite impossible. i have complained last month as well but no action was taken. i would be highly grateful if cesc looks into the matter and do the needful.

                    Recd.bill of May 2015 shown 150 units consumed and billing amount is Rs950/-which I strongly disagree.Compare to last year you see that meter reading was 75 units.and electric point is the same.No extra load consumed during that period.Please check thoroughly and do the necessary.                           Dear Sir
                          My electricity bill for March 2015 was Rs 3370 & due date was 6/5/15
                          I have deposited the amount of 3760 using HDFC visa card through net banking on 22/04/15
                          Although I was trying to pay March 2015 electricity bill through net banking as the amount is paid before the receiving of the bill date (i.e. before 25th), the payment was deposited against the February 2015 bill. Note that February 2015 bill is already paid on 30/3/2015 by cash.
                          In the current bill of May 2015 the amt. Of Rs 32.75 is still showing due against March 2015 bill
                          Therefore I request you to settle the access amount which I have already paid for Feb 2015 against March 2015 bill

                            Presently we are not residing in Kolkata, however we had been there from 21st March'15 to 10th April'15 and left my flat locked with the main switch off. My electricity bills being settled under ECS scheme.CESC bill for 04/15 for Rs. 1469/- has been deducted from my bank account, again as per SMS recieved on 25/06/15, CESC bill for 05/15 for Rs. 3908/- is likely to be encashed from my bank account. On my scrutiny of CESC e-bill for the above mentioned bills, i obswrved my electricity meter reading remained unchanged from 2804; further my next door neighbour confirmed meter reading remaining unchanged at 002804. From where did the unit consume 616 noted in the bill for 05/15 derived? The above clearly indicates possible mistake in part of bill preparation and Rs. 3908 as charged in the bill for 05/15 is to be waved off. An early implementaion and confirmation solicitated.                               Con. No. [protected]. Last bill amounting Rs.2400 is irrational, irrelevant and has no parity with the previour ones. Please look into the matter. Average bill of my electricity in summer is Rs 1800 per month and average consumption per month is 250 to 260 units. So the current bill is totally fabricated.

Avverage consunption per month was 250 to 270 per month and average billing amount was used to Rs1600 to Rs1800 per month. Thus the bill is irrational and fabricated.

                                      I, Mr. Manik Ch. Bhattacharjee residing at 147/D, Prince Gulam Hussain Shah Road, one of your valued customers (vide consumer number ID: [protected]). This is to state that the person who was appointed by you to evaluate the meter and note down the reading did not appear to do the same for the month of May. I have come to know that he did so in my neighborhood by purposefully did not knock at my address in spite of the fact that I was very much present on that day. Now, you people have generated a bill worth Rs.1710. Now my question is, how on earth you guys have raised the said amount when you have not taken the meter reading at all! I am sorry to say that your service is simply frustrating and idiotic! Firstly, I want a logical explanation from your end and I want the amount to be revised, failing which I will go to the consumer forum and if required sue you guys! the sooner you get back to me with an answer, the better it will be for you!
